《Im Just a Normal Character》Chapter 7

“Where are…”
Alvis woke up in a room that looked like a jail cell, it was a small empty room. And he looked around his surroundings and found Charlotte lying on the floor in the corner.
Alvis was very confused about this sudden development, he desperately tries to search in his memories of how they ended up here.
Charlotte and Alvis were going to explore the town more and as they moved further away, they began to see farmlands. And since they were further away there were a lot less people.
And while they were still exploring Charlotte bumped into a person. And the person was carrying some bag of powder, when they bump into him the powder spread to Charlotte. Since Alvis was close to Charlotte it affected him also.
(Is it some sort of sleep powder?)
At this moment, the sound of walking was made in the jail cell Alvis and Charlotte in.
A man with his face covered with a black cloth and the way he dressed like someone of a bandit walked toward the jail cell, “Oh the brat’s awake.”
And the voice he transmitted was deep and sounded like a middle aged man.
“What do you want from us?”
“Do you think I will tell you?”
Alvis was unable to respond to that.
“Well you are gonna be staying here for a while or maybe quite a long time.” The middle aged man left in a very good mood.
nnn~
Alvis heard Charlotte making noise, and he turned around assuming she was about to wake up.
When Charlotte woke up she began to realize that she was in a unfamiliar place then before, “Alvis where are we?”
“I believe we got kidnapped and they don’t plan on letting us go any time soon.” Alvis dropped his polite voice, as this situation is not the time for it.

“W-who is the one behind it?” There was a slight panic from Charlotte voice
“So I don’t know who it is. The only hint I have is that the person before I met wears a dress like a noble, and the way he sounds like a middle aged man.”
“W-will rescue come?”
“I don’t know.”
Alvis can tell that Charlotte was afraid of this situation, while he himself also. Since this is the first time in his lifetime to ever get kidnapped.
(Why did they kidnap us? What is their motive? Is it just simple trafficking or did they come after Charlotte's status as the child of the Isbert house?)
Alvis was desperately trying to rack his brain around, trying to figure out what they wanted. In the end there wasn’t any hope as there wasn’t much clue except a middle aged man who was dressed normally.
After long thinking Alvis decided to stop thinking about it, and decided on thinking of escaping or somehow to get in contact with his father or Isaac.
Alvis started to look around the place he was trapped in. From the look around him it was basically just a prison that looks like those in the movies and images, but more old. Cracks were on the wall, tiny enough for the sunlight to get in. And the very top of the was a window with bars.
(That window might helpful)
Alvis shifted away from the viewpoint and looked toward the bar door.
He could see one of the guards also covering his face with a black cloth.
Alvis started to approach them, “Hey, would you mind me asking a few questions?”
“....”
“Hello?”
“Hello?”
“Hey!”
The guards look towards him with menacing eyes, “Shut up.”

Just from the look Alvis got chills just from those eyes who looked backed.
(Looks like interaction would even be hard, let alone negotiations)

Meanwhile, the middle aged man that spoke to Alvis came out from a tiny house. That was where Alvis and Charlotte were being kept.
He took out a stone tablet, “Lord Isaac and Sir Mason everything proceeds accordingly.”
Isaac's voice came out, “Good, continue what you were doing.”
***
In the mansion, Isaac and Mason were sitting in the diner’s room.
Isaac holds a cup of tea in his hand and slowly drinks it, “I say Mason, do you have to be that harsh on your son?”
“It needs to be done.” Mason replied with a expressionless face
“I mean he is only 9, he has time to grow. And rushing it might cause a negative effect.”
“Time is not enough, especially when his talent is just average. Even your daughter could beat him.” Mason sighed.
“Are you thinking about [That] being?” Isaac looked towards him seriously, “Are you planning on making your son follow your footstep?”
“....” Mason stayed silent.
Isaac sighed, “Mason, it is still way too early to be worried about that.”
Mason slowly shook his head, “No, any later things could end up badly.”
Isaac looked at him and sighed, “Alright let shift the topic a little.”
Mason looked back and asked, “Why did you make your daughter part of this?”
“Ahhh, you know the same thing might happen to her in the future, and it is a way for her to gain some sort of experience.”
“The Isbert house sure is different.”
***
Half a day has already passed, the sun is beginning to set.
Charlotte began to calm down from the fear she felt before, and Alvis was sitting around in hopes of rescue coming sooner.
However as time passed Alvis began to lose hope of rescue coming.
(We won’t last like this… There is no water or food given out…)
Alvis looks toward the guard and moves his eyesight toward the guard hip where there's a key.
(That must be the key, but how do I get it)
Alvis starting racking his brain around to make a plan to get the key
5 minutes past, 10 minute past, 30 minute past, an hour past.
A thought flash through Alvis mind
(Maybe that would work)

As the Godking Wills
The Empire and the Church span almost the entirety of the known world, absent some pockets of lawlessness and the realms of the deceiver. They are governed as a despotic theocracy, ruled in name by the solitary and omnipotent God, Al'Shazan. In practice, Al'Shazan is bored, flighty, cruel and has little interest in ruling the Empire. Instead the Empire is run by the High Priest, Minister of the Treasury, and the Knight Commander of the inquisition. Their job is to make sense of the contradictory nonsense spewed forth by their living God while simultaneously ruling the greatest nation that the world has ever known. The entire time, they have to maintian the facade that Al'Shazan is a benevolent and loving God in order to maintain morale in the general populace. --------- The actual genre for this is more along the lines of a Fantasy Political Comedy/Drama/Thriller. It will not be 'crunchy' (minimal action, minimal descriptions of powers/abilities) but instead be focusing on world building and political maneuvering. As a warning, it is fairly dark.
