Chapter Seven: The Two Prophecies
Ever since Zu met that group of four girls, he felt happy. Not because he was thinking of some lewd thoughts, but because they taught him a lot. Even once the quest was complete they still chatted with Zu for a while. During their time together Zu learned about combat, classes, skills, and gear. Sadly he couldn’t add them as a friend because he didn’t have what was required to.
Players are born with systems inside their brain already, but for the natives of Azure they have to get the right material. The women explained to Zu that he could add them as a friend when he obtained a friend orb. When Zu asked what it was, they explained that he needed it to add them as a friend. It’s an orb that natives of this world can use when they want to add ‘Jumpers’ as friends and chat with them from long distance.
Zu’s eyes almost popped out. He never knew such technology even existed. At first Zu was eager to obtain the orb but the girls told him it was only obtainable from the capital. When they explained that the capital was three towns away, Zu was shocked. How many days would he need to travel in order to reach that place? He would have to walk, because he didn’t have transportation.
When the girls asked Zu what class was he going to be, Zu shrugged his shoulders. He didn’t know what class he wanted to pick. So far by not picking a class he can use any weapon he wants, but he knows when he chooses a class he can only use a specific weapon. His choices were limited, there were only five starting classes. His best bet was either a warrior or mage, but Zu still wanted to try the last class.
Right now Zu is laying on his straw bed - staring at the ceiling. It’s been a day since he met them, and now he is back on his own. Zu’s blue eyes seemed lost in thought. ‘I wonder what class fits me…’ Zu thought to himself before getting up.
‘Status’ Zu said in his mind.

Stat Points remaining: 10
Zu still had ten stat points remaining, but he couldn’t decide what stat to put it in. Clare explained to him what each individual stat did. Strength increased the amount of damage you do with melee weapons. Vitality increases the amount of HP you have. Dexterity increases your attack with ranged weapons or dual weapons. Agility increases your speed as well as Stamina. Intelligence increases the amount of damage you do with magic weapons. Wisdom increased the amount you heal others by.
Clare also told Zu not to put any stat points into anything until he found out exactly what he wanted to be.
‘Which to choose…’ Zu thought to himself while he glanced over the stats. He thought about it for a moment before closing the window. ‘Better wait.’
Zu got up off his straw bed and looked at the pile of dirty clothes in the corner. He couldn’t wear them, so he had to continue on with what he already had. ‘Maybe… they can clean it for me!’ Zu thought to himself as he went out to wooden door.
Opening the door the village appeared. It was the same as yesterday, the villagers were still doing chores while the ‘Jumpers’ asked them for quest. Zu looked over the ‘Jumpers’ while his lips curled up.

“Objective, clean Zu’s clothes. Convert quest reward points into exp only. Twenty-five quest reward points for exp.”
Generating Quest...Ding! Clean Zu’s dirty clothes
Zu has asked you to clean his dirty clothes because he is too lazy to do it himself. Once all his clothes are washed you will be rewarded!
Reward: 250 exp
Zu grinned as he walked over to a random ‘Jumper’. This ‘Jumper’ had scruffy gold hair and tan skin. He was talking to another person until he noticed Zu approaching.
Seeing Zu approach he stopped talking and walked over to Zu. He didn’t see pass out quest before, but he wouldn’t pass up this chance if it was to get a quest.
“Yes, do you need something?” The male asked.
“Yeah, do you want to do a quest?” Zu asked.
“What!? Bro, show me where they are at!” The male exclaimed.
Player Greg has accepted your quest
Zu didn’t know why he suddenly yelled, it was only a quest. When he gave a quest to Clare she didn’t seem to mind it and get all excited. When Zu thought about it he suddenly laughed, these males were way different from Clare’s group.
Zu turned around and headed back to his home, with Greg following shortly after. Greg was smiling wide as they shortly approached Zu’s home. Once Zu showed him the clothes Greg didn’t even mind the smell as he grabbed all of them. Zu watched him closely making sure he wasn’t going to take off with his clothes. They were his only other clothes.
Greg took them outside while he went to the well the fetch some water. He returned shortly and washed all four pairs of Zu’s clothes. Once done he hung them up for Zu as he returned to him soon after.
Player Greg has completed your quest.
A white light flashed on Greg's body as his eyes began to sparkle. Zu knew what happened. When the white light came down on someone that meant they leveled up. After Clare and the rest completed his quest four white lights came down. When Zu asked what happened they told him they leveled up. Zu didn’t pay it too much mind.
“Bro, do you have any other things that need to be cleaned!?” Greg said while petting Zu on the shoulder.
Zu had never seen someone so eager to clean… but then again he has only been here for one day. He himself didn’t want to clean so he figured everyone hated it. Currently his clothes were drying and nothing else needed to be cleaned. Zu thought about it for a moment before remembering he had a vegetable field in the back.
“Objective, tend to Zu’s vegetable field. Convert quest points into exp and gear. Thirty quest points for exp and two hundred for gear.” Zu said while waiting for the quest to generate.
Generating Quest…Ding! Tend to Zu’s garden
Zu has found you to be helpful and an excited fellow. Thanks to you helping out and seem eager for more Zu has created this quest for you. Help Zu out by tending to his garden in the back. Once complete you will be rewarded!
Rewards 400 exp???
“Bro, i’ll kiss your feet if you keep giving me these type of quest! Where's the garden?” Greg said while giving Zu a big hug. He surely seemed excited to help Zu out.
Hearing Greg say that he would kiss his feet made Zu shiver. He didn’t know what was up with the ‘Jumper’ in front of him, but Zu was sure he didn’t like it. Zu pushed Greg off of him while slightly frowning. ‘Could he be… that type?’ Zu thought to himself as he started walking behind his house.

‘Damnit! If I go back here alone he might try something…’ Zu thought as he suddenly stopped walking. He turned towards Greg as he slightly smiled. “I’m sorry, could you wait here for a bit. I forgot to do something.”
Zu didn’t even give Greg time to answer, he hurriedly left to find another ‘Jumper’ to help him out. Greg had a bigger build that Zu, so if Greg wanted to force Zu he would be helpless. Zu ran back to the spot he picked up Greg and found a red headed female walking past him. Zu yelled, “Wait!”
“Huh? You need something?” The woman asked.
“Objective, Protect Zu’s behind. Convert quest reward points into exp only. Thirty quest reward points for exp.”
Generating Quest… Ding! Keep that ass safe
Zu has requested the help of Player Greg to tend to his vegetable field, however Greg is acting overly friendly. Zu is scared to be alone with him in his vegetable field. Zu does not like men, but Greg is bigger than him so he request you help. Keep his ass safe fro Greg until his vegetable field is tended to.
Rewards 600 exp
The red haired woman looked at Zu with sparkling eyes as she nodded her head. She had something that seemed like drool coming out of her mouth.
Player Senia accepted your quest
Zu thought about it for a moment. This new ‘Jumper’ he got had strange eyes, and the way she was looking at him slightly freaked him out. Nevertheless she was his protection. Zu walked over to his house where Greg was standing waiting for him.
Greg seeing another player coming slightly frowned. He thought Zu gave the quest to another person so his reward would be cut in half.
Zu approached Greg and smiled. “Right, let's begin.”
Zu followed by Greg and Senia went behind Zu’s house. Greg grabbed a shovel and started digging around while watering certain plants. He got on his knees and pulled out the weeds while happily smiling.
Senia watched Greg work happily and nodded her head. If she was him she would be doing her job happily as well. This quest Zu gave them was too easy and the exp given was huge. You would have to be stupid not to accept such a quest and do the job happily.
Zu watched Greg tend to his field while he leaned against his wooden house. Senia was leaning next to him and gave him a few glances every now and again. Zu didn’t mind her because his behind would be safe from her. Soon Greg finished the quest and came towards Zu.
Player Greg has completed the quest.
You converted quest reward points into gear
Please choose: Weapon, Armor, Accessory, and please state the level.
“Weapon, level 3.” Zu said as a box appeared in Greg’s hand.
His hands were shaking, while his mouth was wide open. He glanced at Zu and then at the box again. He opened it and a short sword came out. Senia pouted her lips because Greg got a weapon but she got no gear. However she thought about it for a moment and eased up, she did only have to stand here.
Player Senia has completed your quest
Zu nodded his head, while he turned to leave. Everything he needed down was done, and he had nothing left to do.
“Ok, that’s all.” Zu said to Senia and Greg who were following him.
“Come on bro, you must have something! Give me any quest, i’ll do it happily.” Greg said trying to make Zu give him another quest.
“Yeah Mr. Handsome. Give us something new, and maybe i’ll give you something in return!” Senia said as she pressed her chest against Zu’s arm. Her voice sounded extremely sexy, but Zu was not tempted.
Zu pulled his arm from her as he shook his head. “Sorry, that’s all I needed to do. If I have any other things come up, i’ll let you know.”
Hearing what Zu said disappointed both Greg and Senia. It disappointed them so much they dropped to their knees and tears started to flow. “Bro, you can’t do this to me… I never realized how amazing you are until now. You’ve shown me the ways of loving npc’s.” Greg said while crawling to Zu.
“Look handsome, this is a preview of what you’ll get if you give me one or two more quest. Anything! I’ll do anything.” Senia told Zu while unbuttoning her letter vest slowly revealing her cleavage.
Zu ran. He didn’t know what was up with these two but he was not planning on sticking around to find out. He ran into the church, hoping that they wouldn’t follow him there.
Zu arrived in the inside and started panting with his hands on his knees. He’s never ran so hard in his life. ‘What was up with them? Why aren’t they normal.’ Zu thought to himself as he looked around behind him.
“Hello, and welcome to the Church. How may I help you.” A gentle voice called out.
He already knew who this person was, because he came here before. He was planning on coming here again because he wanted to ask about the healing class. If he needed to know about healing classes where better to go than a Church?
Zu looked up at the priest who walked over to him. If he compared her to the ‘Jumpers’ he has seen, she actually couldn’t compare much. Hearing her question Zu nodded his head.
“Yes, I was wondering if you knew anything about healing?” Zu asked her.
“Healing… yes, we perform healing here. Although we can’t teach it to outsiders… so would that mean you would like to join the Church?” The priest asked as she came closer to Zu.
“No, I just wanted to see if healing was for me. I guess i’ll have to find someone else to help me understand it.” Zu said getting ready to leave.
The priest seeing Zu getting ready to leave grabbed him by the arm. “Wait! You are a villager… but you don’t worship Ive or Idin. This can’t be, everyone must worship them.” She said while dragging Zu towards another room.
The room she dragged Zu into was black. It didn’t fit a Church like theme, but the two statues made up for it. One was of a beautiful woman who had her arms around a man that seemed powerful. On their heads was a crown made of thorns, but their clothing was little. The statues were pure white, and it even glowed bright.
The priest pointed at the statue. “Go, pay respects to our holy mother and father. Maybe they’ll bless you.” She said.
Zu was going to leave, but the priest was blocking the exit. He had no choice but to pay respects to these two gods. Zu stood in front of them before he kneeled down and closed his eyes. ‘I don’t know what i’m praying to, but thank you for giving me life. I mean, you could have at least given me memories of my past. Nevertheless, thank you.’
Ive and Idin have received your prayer
You’ve received their blessing. +5 to all stats.[/table]
Ding! Faith stat gained.
Pandora watched you pray to Ive and Idin. She doesn’t approve of them, but approves of you.
Pandora has blessed you with the skill [Pandora’s blessing]
Pandora’s blessing (A)
Using a small portion of Pandora’s blessing you can generate one random buff to you or someone else. The effect may or may not be good.
‘Pandora? I thought there were only two gods?’ Zu thought as he got up from kneeling. He walked over to the priest with a slight smile.
“How was it, did you receive their blessing?” She asked.
“Y-yeah… who is Pandora?” Zu asked.
Hearing what Zu said the priest covered his mouth while glancing around. Seeing that the ghost is clear she removed her hand. “Where did you hear that name?” She questioned.
“Ugh… Ive told me about her.” Zu said. He didn’t understand what was going on, but it seemed like Pandora was not a good person. He felt that if he said he received her blessing this priest would turn unholy and murder him.
“Ah, it seems she trust you. Pandora was also a god, but she’s not anymore. You should not speak her name.” The priest explained.
“Why?” Zu asked.
The priest shook her head. “Follow me, and you shall find out.”
Zu followed the priest into another room. This room was golden, but it had two giant slabs of rock in it. He didn’t understand why such a room would house rocks, but it wasn’t his place.
The priest stopped and looked at Zu. “Have you heard of the prophecies?”
Zu shook his head. He hasn’t heard about them, but he did remember hearing of them from somewhere. When he thought about where, he couldn’t remember.
“These are the two prophecies given to us by Ive and Idin. We don’t understand how they knew what was to come, but we do know it’s coming true. It’s our destiny, we have to face it head on.” The priest explained.
Zu walked over to the rocks, he found strange writing on it. Strangely enough, he found that he could read what it said. He didn’t understand how, but he could.
Ive; ‘In the land that stretches east the wind wanders north until it turns south. The sky turns dark as a storm approaches. Lightning struck in the eye of the storm causing it to disperse into nothing. In the eye was a weapon that stayed; a figure covered by a black cloak approached. Their hand grabbed the weapon but the lightning struck once again. By Fate or Luck, they survived. Soon after the wind stopped moving and the land that was soaked red became lush green once again. Legend or a God sent from above, the land engraved their name.’
Zu didn’t understand what this meant. The meaning seemed deeper than he could understand, but he knew that there was a hero who saved the day. Zu looked at the next rock.
Idin; ‘When the darkness spreads, and fear is born; hope will soon arrive. Little white lights appear spreading across the land, giving hope to those that believe. Chaos, Hope, or Utter Destruction; which path will the light. Hope is what the land expects, but that is only a dream. The little white lights that broke through the darkness turned red itself losing it’s color and way. The land hoped for the light to come, but what it brought was only Chaos and Utter Destruction. The land soaked in blood gave up hope. The white lights that jumped came out of nowhere were blessed by the gods. Is this Divine Punishment? The land cried for years until the little white lights slowly disappeared. A passage was written, and spread across the land. Only to spread the tales of the little white lights. Some remember, others forget. Everyone needs to ‘Beware the Jumpers’’
‘Jumpers huh?’ Zu thought as he finished off the prophecy. It seems that these two knew that these ‘Jumpers’ would appear one day.
Zu turned around and nodded towards the priest. He knew about them so he filled his knowledge for the day.
“You understand now. You cannot always trust these ‘Jumpers’ because sooner or later they will turn on us. When that time comes you should be prepared.” The priest said.
‘Clare, Sen, Hope, and Karin… they wouldn’t turn on me… would they?’ Zu thought as he shook his head. Those four ladies seemed nice and kind, he couldn’t imagine them causing chaos and destruction.
“Did you know that the person who caused the land to be soaked red and made the ‘Jumpers’ appear was known as Pandora. She started it all. All the children who were born lived in peace without even knowing what violence was. That was until she cast an unholy spell. It made all the children start aging faster, and filled them with weird desires. The children started fighting each other, causing ground beneath them to be soaked in blood. When Pandora noticed what she caused, she felt sad. This wasn’t what she wanted, but she had no way to fix it.
Ive and Idin tried their hardest to control and fight the desires the children were having. They finally sealed them, but it only temporarily solved their problem. Pandora cast another spell that would save them all from their fate, however it didn’t work. Or so she thought….
Ive and Idin couldn’t control the children anymore but they knew one day things would turn out alright. Ive was the first to see it. She saw a vision of the future, but she didn’t understand what time it would happen. Thus she wrote it down on a rock. Soon after Idin had his own vision of seeing what would happen. He noticed that the ‘Jumpers’ were actually the creation of pandora. He couldn’t believe it, she would create an even bigger problem later on without anyone knowing. To save the future and help everyone prepare he wrote down what he saw on a rock.
Together Ive and Idin cried for their children. They were suffering from pain, anger, and greed. Ive and Idin couldn’t let it continue, so they created us to spread holy words that would ease the pain they were suffering from. Shortly after Ive and Idin disappeared leaving us with a final task. Bring peace to the world, and let everyone know that they are watching.”
Zu felt like he was going to fall asleep, but he stayed awake. If he stayed here any longer he might convert himself.
The priest's eyes shined as she walked towards Zu and grabbed his hand. “You have listened wholeheartedly, therefore I want you to help us find our two lost members. I have no knowledge of where they went, but they are somewhere outside this village. When you find them tell them to return.”
“Right! I’ll do my best.” Zu said while removing her hand. He left the room and then left the Church. ‘Maybe i’ll find my class while I look for those two.’ Advertisement Previous

Dragon's Soul
Synopsis of my story, A young boy faces the end of his life, born a genius, gifted with an incredible memory and a passion for knowledge. As he takes his last breathe his life flashed before his eyes , from an early age he had been like a sponge soaking in all the knowledge around him, science, history, culture, literature, and even military strategy he absorbed it all. But as his life was coming to an end he scorned all his knowledge, what was the point of knowing everything when you weren’t even able to protect yourself or the ones you loved. As the boy closed his eyes for one final time,he laughed at how blinded he had been about the world and people and thought that if there was indeed a next life he would obtain power, power to protect himself and his loved one. And so this marked the end of his life, but for some, the end is only the beginning. My first story so it won't be too great so bare with me as I try to get better.
8 392Our Shattered Realms
*This is a learning experience for me so please keep in mind that I am attempting to work on some of the issues brought to my attention early on. However I haven't yet gone back to redo the early chapters.* Less than two days ago every piece of electronics in the world stopped working for more than two hours. The death toll was immense. Hospital equipment failed, cars stopped in the middle of the street, planes fell from the sky, and homework was lost at the worst possible moment. We found out that it was just the flicker and hum of The System warming up. Now we see the true cost of our new world. A Dark comedy that focuses on a few of the many people who aren't stuck in a high level dungeon when our world is translated and joined to Our Shattered Realms. This is my first story that I have published. I welcome any criticism that you have for me. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy!
8 218Unto Dark
A man of cripplingly ill mind, bridled with the spirits and regrets of the past. Wade Pierce trudges through each day of his monochrome existence, only as penance for his sins. Such a man is abruptly decamped of this world courtesy of unapologetic forces, left stranded in a realm filled with unknowns. Armed only with his potent yet fragile intellect, Wade advances into this new abyss, as he attempts to rewrite the wrongs he has committed. Plagued by vile beasts, self-righteous Gods, and even his own seething darkness, the cracks in his mind begin to spread and a dangerous, newfound power bubbles beneath the surface. As the world grows darker day by day, this unfortunate journey begins ------------ I suppose rectitude dictates that I should state any themes worthy of noting here. First of all, this story is not a sunshiny one in the slightest. Since it is listed under the psychological and mature tag and not the comedy tag, that shouldn't be a surprise. Next, morbidity is a factor and general apathy towards human life. All of these are common themes amongst other writers, so nothing new there. The story also contains consensual, and non-consensual sexual activity, although I have tried to be as tasteful as is possible for someone like myself. Finally, the pace is drawn-out, and the language is magniloquent at times. Not to mention, the chapters are quite lengthy. Don't expect to read this halfheartedly... Other than that, enjoy the story... There's nothing more important than that...
8 141The Bracelet I Got Was More Than I Bargained For
Andrew and his friends, Isaac, Lisbeth, and Cameron meet a shady man on the way home from school. This man promises them adventure on another world, called Calorin, if they are willing to help him with an experiment. This experiment requires the use of a bracelet, one that cannot be removed once bonded to but will give them abilities such as healing or enhanced strength. Thanks to some peer pressure Andrew reluctantly agrees to join the experiment. The friends are soon on their way to Calorin but Andrew notices feelings coming from the bracelet, ones that want nothing to do with the strange man. It is just before they arrive at their destination that the bracelet changes everything for Andrew and he finds himself separated from his friends and the strange man. Stuck in the middle of a forest Andrew will need to find out where he is, how to find his friends, and why the bracelet has been acting the way it has. Author's Note:This story is a sidequel/prequel to Artifice: Tools of the Gods. As it only has one or two connected characters there is no need to read one or the other to understand them.
8 107A Blind Ninja's Tale
It takes a brave soul to be a ninja. It takes an even braver soul to be a ninja and blind.
