《Arching Choices》Chapter 9: Lukas Legacy

There are only a couple of paragraphs filled in but the following you read:
Hi! I'm Alex! If your reading this I probably left this behind... but thats okay, don't worry too much though this is my 78th notebook with some tips that can help ya!
So the place your probably in is a dungeon, and this world has a lot of them and I've been exploring 'em!
So this world is a very vast place and the rules of some worlds don't work here, but mostly it can be chalked up to just a few key points
1. Style: Now this may be a weird way to put it but the world this notebook was found in focuses on magic, if it was a story it would be called theme... a magic themed world, but this is one of the more advanced civilizations...
2. Status: If you arrived here through a gateway of some kind this will help ya! Just thinking about your current status should bring up a rating in your head, but it does have flaws... the most prevailing for almost anyone is you have to close your eyes to use it, but that can be good if you can read really fast in most situations.
3. Imagination: While all worlds do contain strict rules there can alway be a way to bypass them, be it by luck, trick or gimmick, or sometimes just brute force... Just remember that anything can be used and there is probably never anything useless that exists
After reading the points, suddenly a 4th point appears, right below it as if it had always been there!
4. And If your reading this then you somehow found a 'KEY' Haha! Good for you, most 'KEYS' can help you travel, if you can figure out how to use them... but I think you already know...

After your done the fourth point fades and disappeers...You pull the black colored 'KEY' out of your pocket, it is all that remains of the other keys and you can't help but think that this one is still a mystery in some way...
Well another thing, This book should automatically give the points about this dunguon, but for anyeone special it will give its own advice, maybe a tip or trick to help ya one day, keep that in mind.
Suddenly the book feels a lot lighter, and when you try to check it seems it was never a book at all! All that lays in your hand is a piece or parchment with two words and a weird code thing.
STATUS - SECRET
Apstrus_&78&*%Th
Suddenly you feel dizzy, and you fall over quite comically, face first on the ground, but thankfully you didn't break your nose. You close your eyes and your consiousness fades to darkness...
Your in total darkness, mainly feeling two emotions; fear because you could have died, and a strange sense of this was supposed to happen.
As your fear subsided, you come to the conclusion that this is a dream
Yep, Glad ya figured it out! someone says sarcastically
Your startled by the sudden voice, and soon a figure stands near you, shrouded by darkness, or perhaps can't be seen? Either way you can't see them.
Hi, This is a short message that would come on once you actually calmed down, as I get how anyone would be startled in this situation.
I am currently Alex, But that name is interchangeable, So you actually got two things mainly because you have one of my secret status codes, and you seem to also have a connect item... those are pretty rare, but can also be seen as a curse so...yeah.

My code will enable you to bypass a single part of your new STATUS, but I don't know what type of status you'll get so You'll have to figure it out.
As for your Connect item, It connects you to 'something' and it will affect your choices, which is why it is seen as a cursed object... Anyway!
Your status will be moderated by itself but as it is it might not work everytime due to your Connect item, so if it doesn't understand It might mess up so... work through it Haha!
Also you may see some of the things I've done in this world, look around they might help you again...
bye! ;)
You wake up, What a weird dream, You close your eyes and think STATUS

Meek
After failing as an apprentice cooper and a town guard, Eli finds his place at the Rockbridge archives. Sure, he's the oldest 'junior scribe,' but he likes the job. And he's good at it, too. Then he completes an apparently-insignificant project, and the brutal reaction shocks him--with consequences that eventually shake the world. Eli gains powers. Rare and inhuman abilities. He progresses slowly, steadily, and not without setbacks. He changes, too. Is he a hero, a villain, a human, a monster? Depends who you ask. Meek is an epic fantasy with elements of progression. The basic magic is simple: five Paths, each with a different powerset. However, complexity arises from combinations, and the protagonist wields a magic all his own. Meek is set in the Valley, the only (as far as anyone knows) human empire that survived a Final Battle against a terrible foe. The Valley is warded against infiltration, but the enemy learned how to warp human souls, to foment discord within. However, another soul is also ... changed. Perhaps even 'warped.' And that soul is starting on a long (long, long) path that might, one day, prove that the Final Battle wasn't so final after all.

The Demonic Servant
When I first regained 'consciousness', I was but a broken being, my memories were mostly missing, and I was starving. As time passed, I survived by feeding on the souls of the deceased in this desolate hell, where only the dead live. And unfortunately, these dead are not the kind of dead that stays dead. Instead, they're mindless souls of all shapes, sizes and power whom roam this cursed home of mine. Name? I carry the names of millions upon millions of souls. Bob, Jerry, Askaram, Sara... Race? I devoured the souls of dragons, humans, devils and sentient rocks. As I lived... no, perhaps existed is a better world, I absorbed the memories, experiences, forbidden knowledge and devilish arts of many, many damned souls. After all, who could ever roam this forsaken land but the damned? Now, for the first time in eons, I am finally granted a sliver of hope. To escape this hell, I am willing to serve anyone. The question is, will they accept my servitude? [I don't own the cover. No idea who made it, just found it on google. Still, if you want me to remove it, just ask.]

Vast Asleep
The story of Kingard the Binder in the aftermath of Broken This short story is the epilogue of Broken, the second book of the Chronicles of Mother's Gate series. It’s a great follow-up to the novel, a bonus story that adds extra layers but is set apart from the full-length narrative. Vast Asleep follows the story of Kingard, who finds himself caught in a world called Mother's realm, bathed in glowing light but strangely stuck in place. He encounters his greatson Varyan there, and learns that his experiences are likely dreams. As he grows more accustomed to the loving realm around him, Kingard remembers fear and trepidation about the face of the world, and he loses contact with his companion. This story answers the question, Is Kingard really dead? with a tentative no, and new mysteries brewing. It also raises the question, What's happening while he's awake? and includes an excerpt from the sister story Ride Awake, about Kingard's situation with the Colkh'rak. Praise for Tales of the Known World Bookends: Loved it. The difference between the two stories is great! The difference between the epilogue and prologue is astounding. So much light and love in the first story. You feel safe reading it. Healing. The second, so much darkness, pain and despair. The choice of vocabulary is awesome and makes an impact. And this set of short stories ties the two books together so well. -- Dana V. of Texas ★★★★★
