Chapter 183
Arc 16 - The Fastest Man Alive - Part 20
Infinite. After exhausting every finite number, a state is reached which has no need for numbers. It's simply infinite. Infinite, in theory, goes on forever and ever. There is no end to it.
However, that might be slightly wrong.
Everything has an end.
Even an infinite multiverse needs to reach an endpoint. That end point expands every moment, thus increasing the size of it exponentially.
But nonetheless, an endpoint exists, which of course, doesn't invalidate the state of "infinite".
So, at the very edge of the multiverse, at the final universe, Rewind sucked in a breath.
He was witnessing a new universe come into existence through a universal big bang.
To him, it seemed like a light show that went on forever and ever.
A second that lasts an eternity is the last thing a man needs.
No matter how much I slow down, existence is just a step behind me.
Being faster than anyone comes with many drawbacks.
I can never hear voices correctly, I see the light particles rather than light itself, I see every atom rather than the ground itself. Air is no different than ground, and neither is the cold dark space. Everything is solid for me.
The air in the atmosphere is composed of different gases, and the same applies to the dark universe. But for someone like Rewind, it's all rather meaningless.
Gasses and liquids are no different than solids for him. Everything becomes "solid" to him.
I can run on thoughts and dreams, it's not an existence or experience I would even wish for my greatest enemy.
Having been imbued with cosmic powers, Rewind can only move forward and grow faster and faster.
But that is what he hates.
What's the point of being the 「Fastest Man Alive」, if no one can even perceive your existence?
What's the point of all that power if one cannot taste its glory?
Power is a curse, and death is solace.
But unfortunately for him, he cannot die unless he kills God himself.
He cannot cease existing until then.
I must kill him and everyone in my path.
What would you do for your own salvation?
If I succeed today...
Rewind felt a sliver of hope shining in his black existence.
I will be grateful for you, my friend.
{Rewind…}
Her orders came through.
She signaled him.
She wanted to tell him, "It's time".
But simply put, she was too slow.
Rewind's eyes exploded like a supernova with blueish white energy.
He took a stance and thought, No more holding back. I want to see, for the last time, just how fast I can truly move.
Before the queen could relay her telepathic orders, Rewind began to blast forward at a speed beyond the comprehension of mortals and Gods alike.
Let's go!
Different planets and civilisations will have a different answer for the term "instant". Some believe light is instantaneous, while others believe teleportation is faster.
However, those with a degree of higher power can see how ridiculous both of those statements are.
Neither are instant, far from it.
Someone with sufficient speed could see that those are extremely slow. Especially someone like Rewind. To him, everything is as slow as a turtle.
But...
In what can be considered an instant, a true "instant", Rewind ran through every universe in front of him, through every planet and galaxy, touched every atom and person, and destroyed many.
In an instant, he was standing in front of Nazar, countless universes away.
After a sextillionth of a second, Daya finally realised that Rewind had made his move.
He tried to react, but it was too late.
Rewind was already standing in front of Nazar, so Daya's control had been reduced to almost zero.
The entity that was the multiverse, every person and atom within it, could not react in time to do anything.
Every universe realised he had entered, but they only realised that when he was a few billion universes away already.
In Universe-392919182727818172^17819921, their version of Vilramore finally realised what had happened, but before it could react in any way, the universe blew out of existence.
In Universe-34893938919198828987191991919, a galaxy begins to crumble out of existence.
In Universe-1819819191, an advanced civilization finally realised they were all punched out of existence by an unknown entity.
In a dimension outside of the multiverse, the emotionless red eyed and white-haired monster blurted out, "Hn? How could that be… That was faster than I had calculated."
On Earth-Prime, Nazar and Rewind have been staring at each other for what felt like an eternity to them.
"That's a new record," the two of them slowed down so they could finally speak.
The universe had not even realised what had happened, but Rewind experienced it all. Every moment, every planet, every person he killed, he had experienced them all.
It felt like millions of years ago to him.
He had already begun to forget many of those worlds.
"If you can react, then maybe still not fast enough..." he clicked his tongue. "There won't be a next time."
Just a second after that, a trillion worlds ceased existing across the multiverse.
In Universe-Prime, planet Omega vibrated vigorously as someone passed through it. Omegan started to take control over it a second later, just in time before it was destroyed. If it did get destroyed, it would have caused a chain reaction that brought catastrophes of unknown calibre to the universe.
"Now then, God…" Rewind raised his hand into the air as the God Slayer sword flew into it. "Time to kill you."
Humans finally acknowledged this new entity, they questioned who and what he was -- or rather would, but they are far too slow.
"I have been waiting for this moment for an eternity, old friend."
Rewind clutched tightly onto the God Slayer and sucked in a breath.
Nazar kept quiet and did not say anything.
He already had an idea that Rewind was working with the Queen, but he questioned if she increased his power.
However, Rewind knew what he was asking, so he said, "No, I wish."
The sad reply from an old friend caused Nazar to nod his head. “Unfortunate, isn't it?”
And so, Rewind pushed forward.
In an instant, he crossed the boundaries of light and speed and stabbed Nazar in the chest.
“Urk!” Nazar fell to his knees as he coughed blood.
Rewind had moved back into his position.
He snapped his fingers and reduced his speed.
But even then, an eternity passed for him whereas in the real world, only a second had gone by.
As the world returned to normal, Nazar coughed blood once again.
He raised his hand to his chest and clutched onto it.
It all happened amazingly fast, too fast for everyone watching.
“Watch as a God falls to his knees before the mighty Rewind,” Rewind spread his arms widely and declared his supremacy to the universe.
The humans gasped in surprise as they saw the Godlike entity fall to his knees.
They were not surprised to see Nazar is not all powerful, but they questioned this new entity and his monstrous power.
They wondered, was this the monster he mentioned earlier? Or are there more like him?
Humanity gasped as they feared their end.
The universe was large, far too large, yet they were so small.
Can they survive in this endless darkness?
“Power is a curse, and death is solace, so, old friend, do you want solace?”
Rewind, of course, knew that Nazar could not reply, even if he wanted to.
But Rewind knew the answer Nazar was thinking.
“You do, so I have come to deliver to you what you always desired.”
Rewind made another move.
Even faster than before, he stabbed the God Slayer into the back of Nazar.
This time, when he returned to his usual post, the sword did not return with him. The sword will continue to spread pain through Nazar's invincible body.
"You haven't gotten a clue as to how long I have waited for this moment. Seconds felt like eternities, minutes felt even longer. And I had to wait days, weeks for this moment."
The sword flashed brightly, transferring the rage and the anger of a madman, creating golden sparks that spread throughout Nazar's body, in and out.
And so, he screamed in pain as he looked up to the heavens.
"Ahhhhh, after you are dead, I can finally achieve my nirvana of nonexistence."
Then laughter. The madman laughed. A laugh of victory.
He could see his end just moments from now.
It was all so close, no longer than a breadth of a hair.
Rewind looked at the blue sky and smiled a smile that suggested he was content with everything, "I can taste it."
"I…" Nazar forced his body to stand up despite the sword pouring more pain into it. "I thought better… ngh… of you."
Nazar moved his hands very slowly and reached the golden sword.
He placed his hand on it but moved it immediately because of that awful sting he felt.
However, he fought against the pain and clutched onto the tip of the sword.
Rewind moved once again, punching him in the face, and stopping him from reaching the sword.
Or he wanted to, but his punch was avoided by a millimeter.
"Ah…" Rewind moved back into his position, standing in front of Nazar, and clicked his tongue. "You have begun adapting to my speed…"
"Unfortunately for the two of us, you cannot outclass me. I have adapted to my core being destroyed by an Eldritch God before, to being erased from existence on the deepest level possible, to have my mind scattered across the cosmos, and yet… Yet I returned."
Nazar slowly began to walk.
With his hands, he slowly pushed the sword back.
"Unfortunately for the two of us, I am also adapting to the God Slayer, I understand its mechanism now, even if that was not my intention. I understand how it works, yes, it's amazing in theory, but ultimately, it's destruction on the deepest level - our concept.* And unfortunately for the two of us, I vague remember having felt a similar sensation before."
"So, you are saying it won't work?"
Nazar shook his head slowly as sadness crept into his face.
"That is, indeed, true."
They did not realise that they had slowed down enough so the world and universe could hear them.
Nazar did not have the time to worry about that, but it seems, that is what Rewind wanted.
"Oh, how I wished you could kill me, but… I don't think I want that just yet. I have made plans for the near future."
"That is irrelevant before the will of my master."
Rewind moved once again and took out the sword from Nazar's back, only to stab him in the heart once again.
Rewind moved back into his position and after a brief moment, Nazar screamed like a pained animal once more.
The more he screamed, the more his body felt weak and so, he fell to the ground, face down.
"The sword will adapt to your adaptation. No matter what you do, it will adapt to that and harm you."
"..."
"It is not the same sword as the ones you fought against mere days ago."
Rewind was now crouching before Nazar.
"It doesn't make sense, right?"
He picked up Nazar's head with his hand.
"We are entering an unfamiliar territory of power, old friend. Someone with a copy of your ability… It is convenient, to say the least."
Rewind pushed force into his hand, forcing Nazar's face to meet the ground once again.
And he did it again, and again, and again, until he was content.
He knew Nazar would not feel any pain, he found it satisfactory to see him weak and broken and under his mercy.
"I thought you would understand," Rewind began walking around Nazar. "The two of us are so alike, yet we cannot see eye to eye."
Rewind abruptly came to a stop, then increased his speed in the same manner and started to punch Nazar continuously.
“Cursed with infinite power, each in our own way, we battled against this terrible fate of ours, but each of us failed. But! The two of us, yes, the two of us, if worked together, could save each other. We could have saved one another if ONLY YOU DIDN’T LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
He stabbed the sword in his back once again, making Nazar scream once more.
He picked up Nazar and threw him into the air.
The short free fall was enough for Rewind to cause great amount of pains to Nazar.
Rewind took out the sword and stabbed it again.
And again.
And again.
And again.
“WHY?! WHY?! WHY?! WHY COULDN’T YOU BE TRUTHFUL? WHY COULDN’T YOU HELP ME? WHY COULDN’T YOU SAVE ME?!”
Nazar’s battered body fell into small pieces of bones and pink meat.
His body had been destroyed into many pieces as rivers of blood flowed out.
“Was I not good enough of a friend…?” Rewind fell to his butt near Nazar’s body and held his head in his right palm.
The sword fell from his hand, and he added, “Where did I go wrong?”
To the humans and the aliens who were watching, they felt as if Rewind was crying.
“I just wanted to get my revenge; was I wrong to… I...” Rewind sighed as he looked down. “I didn’t want to use you as collateral damage, I just wanted to know how to get to her. I didn’t--- I… I… I just--”
Rewind swallowed his saliva.
“That angel killed me, and I wanted revenge. I wasn’t wrong. YOU WOULD HAVE UNDERSTOOD! You would have. I know it. I just do. You… You... Would have understood...”
Rewind held his head between his palms and screamed at the sky.
“Right? RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT?!?!”
His scream unleashed a torrent of cosmic energies that traveled across the cosmos and began breaching the highest phase of this plane.
His sound began to shatter the natural laws and physics of creation.
As if he were a hologram, he began flickering in and out of reality and time.
“You would understand, right? I was not wrong to think that, right? RIGHT?! I wasn’t. Tell me. Please… die...” Rewind’s voice slowly sunk into nothingness. “You were the only friend I had, Nazar.”
Rewind clutched onto the golden sword.
“So, please...”
The God Slayer flashed brightly.
“DIE!” with a peal of psychopathic laughter, Rewind slashed Nazar’s remaining body into the smallest possible atoms.
The universe watched as Nazar was reduced to nothing, they could do nothing but stare in confusion.
“PLEASE DIE FOR ME, OLD FRIEND!”
He slashed the air and destroyed the soul of Nazar.
“I love you, man, so die for me, will youuuuuuuuu?!”
With a psychotic laughter, he slashed the air once again and destroyed Nazar’s core.
And that was the end of Nazar.
His very concept was destroyed.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,” Rewind breathed deeply.
He was nearing the end of his line.
His victory was closer than ever.
And so, he was going to die.
Death spread its arms towards him, welcoming him.
But…
“Oh,” the universe glitched as Nazar’s body appeared behind Rewind. “And in the end, it was useless. As I had predicted.”
Rewind clicked his tongue and swung his sword, stabbing Nazar in the chest.
However, he did not scream in pain.
“You have adapted and evolved; I am not surprised.”
Rewind jumped back.
“Evolve!” Rewind shouted.
And the skies ripped open as a crackle of light rained down on Rewind.
The sword went through a change.
“But as I said, no matter how much you evolve, so will the sword.”
Nazar narrowed his eyes and he moved forward.
Without waiting any longer, the two of them ran at each other at full speeds.
As the two of them clashed with each other at the shortest fraction of a second, the universe trembled vigorously.
“I don’t want to save you, Rewind,” Nazar created a special environment so the two of them could speak while they battled for an eternity. “I don’t have to save you.”
“I realised as much, you senile and greedy man, but why did you lie to me?”
“What reason do I have to tell you the truth?”
Nazar and Rewind jumped back and found themselves universes away.
In Nazar’s right hand, a long silver glowing sword appeared.
He slashed through the air, ripping through time and space, and creating a clear-cut window through the multiverse.
The two of them could stare at one another, even though they were universes away.
“What are we to each other?”
“...” Rewind hesitated for a fleeting moment. “I thought we were friends.”
“Yes, we were. But it was all pretend, was it not, “old friend”?”
“...”
The two of them run at each other at full speeds once again, crossing universes until their swords clashed.
“The God Slayer, eh?” Nazar scoffed. “I created this sword to destroy demons with it, but never used it because I had no need for it. God Slayer vs the Demon Slayer, pretty neat, no?”
“Hah. Jokes, as usual.”
“It will be boring otherwise.”
The two of them chuckled as the clash between their swords created a shockwave, sending them backwards.
“Isn’t that always the case with you?” Rewind started to get angry. “If… If you had taken me seriously, my power seriously, NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPEEENNNNEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!”
“What do you expect me to do? WHAT DO ANY OF YOU EXPECT ME TO DO?!”
“Infinite power.”
“And it's the worst fucking thing ever. Do you have any idea how many prayers I hear from everyone? How many thoughts I can hear? How much I know? I cannot even be surprised. And you know what’s worse?”
“You are not the only one, you moron!” Rewind shouted angrily. “Do you think you are the only one burdened with power? I can move faster than an instant, cross the multiverse in even less time, read the thoughts I run over, there is no air or liquid or even solid… I can run on energy. It is all irrelevant to me. And… I cannot even eat food, or drink water, or human flesh or blood or… OR DO ANYTHING!”
“You and I are not the same, Rewind,” Nazar put it bluntly.
“OH, but of course. I had a “choice” and the consequences of my choices are finally catching up to me, and you, on the other hand, have no say in what becomes of you. I GET IT!”
“Then?”
“It doesn’t matter how it began, we are both in this mess together, and I refuse to exist in such a sorry state any longer!”
The energies in Rewind’s sockets exploded as he tightened his grip on his sword.
Nazar’s eyes flared brightly as a myriad of golden portals appeared behind him.
Weapons, which looked like swords and knives and daggers among other ordinary weapons, appeared.
Among the ordinary weapons, there were gauntlets, cosmic rings, ordinary looking boxes, gems, and more.
Every weapon in his arsenal held the power over creation itself.
Nazar arched his right hand as a squarish cylinder with sinister looking black top and bottom that entangled around the cylinder like tentacles. Inside the beaker, dark purple liquid splashed around.
“Behold, the Ninisolirine Aether.”
Nazar flicked his finger and destroyed the head of the cylinder, unleashing the dark aether into space.
And in the next instant, the dark aether growled like a mighty four-legged beast, like an angry wolf in the midst of the night.
The dark aether ate through the concepts and laws of the universe, and its destruction bled towards the hells and the heavens.
“It will eat through your existence, but it will not kill you. You will never achieve death after touching this aether.”
“...”
Rewind ground his teeth.
“HOW COULD YOU?!”
“Remember our conversation from a few years ago, when I specifically told you...”
“”When the time comes, you do not want to make an enemy of me, Rewind. I will make your already miserable life even worse.” I remember that as if it were spoken to me just yesterday.”
“Even then, Rewind, I am inclined to make it easier for you. Much easier. So...”
Nazar extended his right hand forward.
“Drink the aether, and un-live forever.”
Rewind laughed.
“Why would I do that?”
“Because if you don’t drink it, I will imprison you in the Eight Plane of Existence for an eternity. I will drop an infinity on top of you, you will have to hold it for as long, and if you move, you will only feel pain, and not die. Forever and ever.”
Rewind swallowed his saliva as he imagined what would happen to him.
“Can you hold the weight of the multiverse for an eternity, Rewind? Can you live forever, but unable to move? But! At the same time, you cannot slow down. Can you?”
“I--”
Rewind ran forward towards his old friend and swung his sword, but Nazar moved.
“I told you, I can adapt to anything, I hate it, but sadly, I have no control over it. I am trying not to move, but as you know, my body is hard to control sometimes. My body and my power have a will of its own sometimes.”
Rewind increased his speed even more, but Nazar’s body adapted as fast.
He was reacting ever faster.
Rewind increased his speed even more, but so did Nazar.
Rewind did not give up, he unleashed everything. He stopped holding back and existence itself froze for the two of them.
Nothing except the two of them were moving.
They had moved past the point of no return.
Colour had lost its meaning; sound would never exist normally.
In this grey, white and black existence, the two of them clashed their swords.
“Before you drink the aether, tell me, Rewind, why?”
“Because they can kill me.”
“THEY WON’T DO IT! How naive can you be?!”
Their clash created a spark, but it emerged extremely slowly. It would have taken days and weeks for the spark to emerge fully and become visible.
But the two of them did not care, they merely clashed their swords at speeds that far surpassed every other creature in existence.
“They are using you. In the end, a far worse fate awaits you, Rewind.”
Rewind did not say anything, but instead, he increased his speed abruptly and managed to move behind Nazar and stabbed him in the back.
But by the time Nazar could feel any pain, his body regenerated.
“You can run on energy, abstract concepts, and thoughts… The feats you can achieve are far more complex than merely “running on them”. You carry out calculations on deep and complex levels to merely achieve something like this, something so simple. You are smart, Rewind. Far smarter than most I have met. Yet… How can you not understand something as simple as this? They are USING YOU!”
“I...”
Rewind’s eyes exploded with energy once again as his speed skyrocketed.
The faster he grew, the more meaning the universe lost.
Existence became unwound, becoming nonexistent for the two of them.
Transcending Null, the two of had reached the final void, a state of existence in which nothing can possibly exist, the two continued to battle.
Their swords clashed at speeds that was far superior to the concept of light and thought.
It produced no noise or shockwave or even sparkles.
A battle in a state of existence where nothing was possible was taking place.
This is the true power of these ultra-powerful individuals.
Absolute power against absolute speed is a battle only the two of them can comprehend.
"I understand that, obviously. I know they are using me. I agreed to it. But... So what? If you had a sliver of hope to end it all, would you not take it?"
"I would. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment. But I know better. It will not work for me."
"Everything I did, it failed. But this is my last chance. Don't take it away from me. Just die for me, please."
Nazar clicked his tongue and jumped backwards.
"When you asked for more power, when you decided to become the fastest man in the universe, you agreed to its side effects."
"I didn't get a piece of paper that explained the terms and conditions," despite the emotional pain he was feeling, Rewind joked.
"That's the thing, you don't get a terms and conditions document. I wish we did, but we don't."
Rewind sighed.
"I am sorry, but I have to do this."
"Don't be. I would have done the same."
Both of their eyes exploded with energies as they began to move once again.
Their speeds increased exponentially, entering an even newer form of existence.
When they moved fast, they traversed beyond existence and into a new unknown.
"But Rewind, we are immortals."
"Yes, I know, but it's my life on the line. It is my last chance at an end. Don't steal this…"
Rewind increased his speed even further and managed to attack Nazar before he could adapt to it.
He stabbed Nazar in the eye with the golden sword of death.
Nazar did not scream in pain, instead, he turned the pain into a blast of energy that would attack Rewind.
Rewind moved but the attack followed him everywhere.
Rewind increased his speed, but he wasn't fast enough to the attack that wouldn't change its trajectory.
I don't know where I am, or what I am running on, but I am. Rewind thought to himself. That attack is not deadly, but my body is telling me to move. I can imagine what sort of pain it will be. It won't harm me physically, but it could destroy me mentally.
He ran forward, growing ever faster.
I don't know what is going on, or what will happen, but I know, if I just run… just run faster and faster… I will outrun it.
Rewind gritted his teeth.
For this, for my death, I am willing TO RISK IT ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!
His speeds increased evermore.
He had already surpassed the impossible, so he was no longer surprised or afraid.
This is my last chance after all.
He ran forward and forward, but suddenly came to a pause, and began then quickly started to run towards Nazar.
Nazar was still far slower than Rewind, he had not adapted to Rewind's new amps in speed.
The ball flew faster and faster and finally caught up to Rewind.
He let the ball of pain enter him, but he did not scream.
Instead, he gritted his teeth and ran forward.
I must win.
Nazar was right in front of him, he could reach him faster than it was possible to calculate, but he slowed down.
He got a good look at his frozen old friend and bit his lip, tasting his own blood.
Damn you! Why couldn't you just prevent this….
"Aaaarrrgggghhhhhhhhhhhh!"
He ran right into Nazar.
He shifted his molecules and phased through him.
He wanted to return Nazar's attack to him.
And he was so close.
But…
Instead, Rewind blew up to ashes.
And in the next moment, Nazar's speed and perception returned to normal.
He was standing in the island and the horrified world.
It was just a moment ago where he was killed by Rewind, but he returned from nowhere and now the other monsters are gone.
The world-- universe could not comprehend what had happened.
But more than that, this world's trust in this entity was fading away slowly.
Mere moments ago, he changed their perception of him, even if slightly, but it got worse in the last second.
Humans hate what they don't understand.
Life and death are beyond the understanding of humans, and concepts such as resurrection and reincarnation even more so.
Seeing a "human" return from a gruesome death with ease filled them with horror and terror.
Nazar glanced at Arthur who seemed more shaken than he had expected.
Arthur knew how inhuman he was, but for him, this was too much.
The horrified look in the eyes of humans caused Nazar to click his tongue.
He could understand that they were looking at a monster and not a human.
You lowly creatures…
It would take merely a second for him to end this civilisation once and for all.
But before he could do that, the skies ripped open, and thunders crackled down on an empty spot in front of Nazar.
His ear flinched, alarming of what just happened.
"Oh, I am sorry, did you think I was dead?"
Rewind slowly rose from the ground, too slowly, almost as if his body were battered to small pieces.
The monstrous voice of Rewind continued, "I told you, I must kill you for my own salvation."
The skies ripped open once again, raining down golden swords.
As the God Slayers were falling down, it suddenly started to wobble.
Rewind raised his hand into the air and waited for the sword to fall into his hand.
"Power is a curse, and death is solace."
The golden swords came together and merged with one another.
A slightly larger version of the God Slayer fitted itself into Rewind's palm.
Power coursed through him as he transcended everything in existence.
He became so large; he could touch the light from above. It was smaller than a singular molecule.
He could perceive existence on a different level, a level closer to Nazar's, so he could understand this monster before him better.
"Ah…"
Rewind, still standing on the island, clenched his hand tightly around the sword.
"I see," at last, he finally understood why Nazar did not save him. And why the Queen will not save him either.
To them, he is smaller than a speck of dust.
An existence unworthy of notice.
So small, so pathetic, and so powerless.
"It all makes sense."
But he did not like that.
He did not like that at all.
The anger in his body radiated brighter than the sun in the sky. It roared louder than the thunders in the sky.
Trembling with anger, he sucked in a breath.
"But…"
Everything slowed down around them at once.
They had entered into speed mode once again.
I hate it! Hate it! HATTTTEEEEE ITTTT!!!!
Rewind jumped forward at speeds even greater than before.
"I have to kill you, to prove to myself that I am not a speck of duussssssssstttttttt!!!"
And so, his sword flew right to the heart of Nazar.
"I told you, Rewind…. I can--"
"You don't understand," with a psychotic laughter, Rewind shouted out. "Killing you was never in the menu; it was to make you grow more powerful. Soooo powerful you wouldn't be able to return back again. SO, LET'S DO THIS!"
"!!"
"Yes, this was never meant to work, old man. No, it was merely for your body to grow more powerful, no matter what you have to say against it."
The sword left Nazar's heart.
"I am going to make you invincible."
That's right, he cannot die. He cannot. But he can be hurt in other ways. He can be hurt in worse ways. Death is something he desires the most but being invincible isn't. So!
"You have walked right into my trap."
Rewind stabbed him in his abdomen with laughter.
""You cannot hope to win," she said."

But that will prove difficult for a seven-year-old weak child whose sword skills are mediocre at best. Now with the recent arrival of a mage in town Ran has been given an opportunity, a chance that will change his life forever as outside forces play in the background. He will give it his all to travel the path of magic while learning about the people in his life.Sadly, things hardly go the way we want them to.
