Chapter 171

Arc 16 - The Fastest Man Alive - Part 8

Universe-91289382:

In another part of the multiverse, there was a universe with properties far different than usual universes. Usual universes consist of matter and dark matter and is a reality governed by abstract entities to keep it afloat, but this universe consists purely of antimatter. Additionally, the universe is also devoid of abstract entities to govern it.

Despite the absence of greater power, this reality functions no different than a normal universe and can house trillions of life forms - unique life forms that cannot survive in normal universes.

Likewise, people from normal matter universes cannot survive in an antimatter universe.

And like that, a certain someone made their way to this world of doom.

Just a moment earlier, the blur punched through this odd universe in the Outflow but to the surprise of the blur, it did not get destroyed.

The moment he came into contact with this universe, it sucked him in.

“Arrggghhhhhhhhhhh?!”

Like a black hole, this antimatter universe pulled Rewind into itself.

The sword near him flashed brightly.

"I don't need your help, blade, I will sur-- NGH!! I will SURVIVE!"

Arrogance is the downfall of many.

Those with power think they are invincible, and everyone one of them will one day find themselves proven wrong.

Perhaps today is the day when Rewind will forever lose his ego.

"Nyaaaghhhhhh!"

He screamed in pain as the new properties of the universe came in contact with his positive matter-based body.

"I… I…. I WILL…" grinding his teeth, he tried to keep his molecules in one place and avoid being affected by the crushing weight of antimatter.

With each antimatter molecule that came in contact with his positive matter body, the pain in his body increased.

"I WON'T BE STOPPED!"

He closed his eyes and focused his mind.

Feeling every bit of the energy within him, he moved them around in his body to keep his molecules in one place.

"I WILL CONQUER YOU!"

Through the gap in his molecular structure, the antimatter particles slowly slithered into his body like snakes.

It wanted to eat its natural enemy away before it is hurt in any form or shape.

However, the blur did not want to give up.

He clenched his muscles and increased control over the energies in his body.

The energies created barriers to protect him from the invading force of antimatter.

His molecular structure was safe for now.

He could breathe a sigh of relief.

But…

Unfortunately for him, the laws of nature are stronger.

Naturally, matter and antimatter don't get along. So, when the two opposing forms of matter came into contact with one another, it started to fight for control.

Negative and positive attracts, it is true when it comes to magnetism, but with matter and antimatter, it's different. The two unique forms of matter battle against one another to take control.

During the battle, when the particles touch one another, it immediately causes an explosion. It's a suicide mission for these particles, but it can win them the war.

However, since the quantity of positive matter was extremely low, the antimatter "won" this battle due to its higher quantity, thus causing the blur's body to explode on subatomic level.

Before he could scream, he was vaporised into thin air.

Chias, Chochica Empire:

In front of millions of people, Nazar stood and raised his arm.

He could see the people across the stars watching him closely through a monitor. They were waiting for him to appear.

In front of him, people who stretched until the end of the city cheered, but he questioned; why?

As usual, one question floated in his head, what merits - aside from his power - does he have as a person that would appeal to others? It's not his charisma, or his jokes, or his looks.

But even then, people are always surrounding him and loves for who he is.

So, why?

A simple yet dark answer always flashed in his mind when he asked himself that question.

By any chance, am I...

Is this the work of his subconscious wish?

He wanted to be loved and accepted for who he is, and not for his power, and he finally realised that he always had that. So…

Was it I who forced them into this locus?

He is the master of all there, so it is not impossible for him to do something like this, which is what scares him.

Emma, Laura, Aya, Aeron, Angela, Lian, Baros, Eddie, Violet, even Emily, and others, did he forcefully pull all of them into this situation?

"I have nothing," he sucked in a breath and uttered those words to the people looking at him. "As a person, I can offer you nothing. As a ruler, I could offer you nothing but protection from the evils, and even at that, I failed miserably.”

The people in front of him slowly quieted down

"In the first world, I created my first teleporter that turned a human or an object into photons and beamed them across space. Then within a fleeting period of time, I created a different version of it by deconstructing a person or object on molecular level and sending the molecules through a rift in time and space."

The people grew confused at his words. Why was he reciting his feats of intelligence?

"Soon after, I created nanites that felt almost alive. A series of symbiote-like nanites that responded to the thoughts of the wearer."

The clothes around Nazar changed colour slightly so others could see the difference. After a few seconds, it returned to normal.

"Since then, I built weapons and technologies that couldn't be rivalled in this universe. But besides that, I traversed to the far edges of time and space, shot myself in the head and seen the afterlife…" he chuckled bitterly. "You must be questioning why I am telling you all of this, right?"

The people glanced at one another with complicated looks on their faces.

They had that question in their mind, but could not ask him, but it seems he could guess it.

"Power and intelligence are the only value I ever had as a person. That's all I was. A man obsessed with finding ways to kill myself but sadly, nothing worked. My intelligence and power were my downfall."

Nazar glanced down with a gloomy look in his eyes.

"Every day, my power grows. Every day, little by little, I become someone else. But…"

He stayed silent for a short while, causing everyone to look at one another in a confused manner.

Each of them then shrugged as they did not know the answer to the question in their head.

"In my life, I did not take anything seriously and with my powers and intelligence, I treated this empire no differently. Like the people I hated - my creator, for example - I, too, took pride in my power, even if it was not my intention. I knew that as long as I had this power, no one would dare hurt this empire."

Baros watched him from the side with silent eyes. He could not tell what kind of expression Nazar was showing, was it sadness or disappointment? Or worse, anger?

"I thought no one will be hurt, but as I said earlier, I failed at that. Church of Michael attacked the empire many times and hurt people. The demon who possessed my sister could have destroyed many worlds, and so could the Seven Deadly Sins. If I hadn't acted in time…"

He swallowed his words and went quiet again for a moment.

Then he swallowed his saliva and continued.

"I treated the military as a waste of space and put them on display. But if I had taken the time to focus on defence of the empire in diverse ways, maybe less people would have been affected."

In another world, the people who were affected by the attack of the demon watched the screen closely.

The remember that day as if it were yesterday.

The day when they felt like their world would end.

They did not hate Nazar for that, but they felt betrayed.

He was slow.

"That was my fault. I have an enemy who is trying to take everything away from. Another failure of mine is that I haven't defeated them with all this power and intelligence I prided myself in," his voice gradually grew louder and colder. The anger in his voice was apparent and it scared many people. "I failed to keep my sister safe, I failed to keep my empire safe, I failed…"

Once again, he ate his words with a soft grunt.

Some people in the audience felt a little frustrated at how he did not finish his sentences.

"In the old world, if I had tried, maybe I could have stopped the end of everything, but I didn't. Instead, I was swept away as my creator destroyed time, beginning at the end of the road. Because of me, too many people died. Because of me, more people - people of this empire - would have died because the universe wanted to shun them away."

Nazar rubbed his eyes with a little force as he tried to think of a way to put his thoughts into words.

"I am not here to apologize," he began speaking slowly. "I should be, but I am not. I am just... different. In all my life, I never took things seriously, perhaps not even this empire. If it weren't for Solace, maybe this empire would have never recovered, but it did thanks to her and now… She is gone. She is gone too. Slipped away from my hands, perhaps forever."

Nazar inhaled sharply before looking back up with a confident look in his eyes.

"In all those years, it was her who ran this empire and turned into what it is today, I helped but without her... Anyway, she rose it from the ashes, but I ruled over it. And in those years, I did nothing to shrink the gap between you and I, but even then… EVEN THEN! I want to tell you one thing."

The people suddenly found their bodies very stiff and gulped as they straightened their postures.

It was rare for them to see a person in such elevated position lose himself in anger.

"No matter how smart, or powerful, or egomaniacal I get, no matter how much the distance between us increases, I will never bring harm to this empire intentionally. Neither I nor Solace ever did anything to harm this empire."

Nazar noticed that his voice was getting louder.

He tried to calm it down, but then he realised that his heart was beating faster than anything.

He wouldn't describe this feeling as anger, but something else. Something new.

"We never mind controlled anyone, and we didn't forcefully take over the empire. We were elected as it's rulers and we did everything to create the perfect version of the Chochica Empire."

This new emotion he felt, he finally understood it.

This is what it feels like to stand up for someone and defend them and their honour.

This is what it feels like to fight for someone else.

"I don't care what you think of me, I don't care what you see me as, I don't care how much you hate me but…"

His red eyes flared brightly as he poured his heart into his thundering sound.

"DON'T YOU DARE THINK BADLY OF SOLACE!"

The people in front of him didn't feel fear. They weren't scared of his angry roar. They were all very quiet.

"YOU CAN THINK ANYTHING BAD ABOUT ME, BUT NEVER HER!!" his loud and angry voice echoed across the stars.

Nazar breathed heavily for a moment as he calmed down and relaxed his body.

"Don't think badly of her. She has done nothing bad," Nazar spoke slowly and slowly.

He closed his eyes and saw the image of the one closest to him.

Like usual, be it in real life or dream, Solace was smiling at him.

Afterall, she was the light at the end of the tunnel, waiting to save him from this darkness.

And no matter what happens, he will keep her name safe.

"She is innocent," his soft voice was carried across the stars with a faint of warmth.

The warmth engulfed the heart of the audience and shattered a cold and dark part of it.

He will keep her name safe, even if it means doing something "evil".

Nazar scoffed in a relieved manner.

His main job was done.

He saved the name of his companion.

"As I said before, I failed, but I am not giving up," he spoke sternly. "I am facing an enemy - an invisible enemy - who could end the universe with but a thought, so I need to tread carefully as to not trigger their wrath."

Where am I going with this… he chuckled. Ah, right.

"The enemy had me on ropes for months, which is why you have Afshahan and his crew protecting this empire. I cannot focus my attention here, which is why I failed."

Politics is a game. Hit the right keys on the keyboard and it's an instant win.

"Despite my failures, despite what the invisible enemy made you all think and see, I am here today to stand tall before you…"

He raised his right arm and slowly clenched it.

"I am the rightful king of the Chochica Empire, I never left the throne. I was merely busy trying to recover from my battle with Death."

The audience raised their eyebrows, wondering what he meant by that.

Was Nazar nearly killed and that's why he could not be seen anywhere?

Or perhaps it was because he fought the entity who caused this mess?

"And I won."

Baros smiled softly. He understood what threads Nazar was pulling.

He did not like it, but if these threads aren't pulled at this moment, the future of the empire could be very bleak.

"I survived, and so did the empire, and we will survive until the end of time. I am immortal, I cannot die, so with me, the empire will LIVE FOR AN ETERNITY!"

The audience felt a hopeful and excitement sensation rise in their chests.

Their chests welled up, almost bursting open.

"No matter who attacks us, no matter who fells us, no matter who kills us, WE WILL RISE FROM THE ASHES AND MARCH FORWARD!"

And with those words, the audience threw their hands into the air and let their hearts cheer louder and louder.

"Chochica Empire has always been looked down up by the neighbouring empires, they did not see us as equals, but we will change that!"

The audience cheered even louder than before.

"We will spread infinitely across the stars, exploring and teaching, and growing," Nazar's tone turned softer and softer, as if he were a prophet who was trying to spread the words of God. "Let us spread our wings through time and space… The age of exploration, magic, science, beauty and excellence…"

Nazar spread his arms widely as he smiled as widely.

"Begin here and now!"

Afshahan raised an eyebrow at his plan before he laughed silently. He found it quite amusing and hilarious.

"I, Nazar, the one thousand and fifty-fifty emperor of the Chochica Empire, hereby swear that I will do right by the empire given to me. It is my responsibility to raise this empire to beyond the stars, to the heavens and above."

Nazar slowed down for a moment and then added with a faint confident smile, "We will shine brighter throughout the cosmos."

In return, he received excited and supportive roars of the patriots down below.

The roars were unlike anything he had witnessed before, or Baros in his long life.

The empire had been holed up for far too long in the imagery walls they had created, away and separated from the wonders out there.

In the past, travel between other empires was possible, but people were not allowed to live permanently elsewhere. There were multitude of reasons, for example, many people across the universe did not like Chochica Empire for it was a cosmic anomaly. Perhaps they feared it or perhaps they simply did not want to associate with these cosmic freaks created by an angel from the ashes of a respected empire.

Since then, the people have been stuck here, hoping to one day reach for the stars, but the Church of Michael - the previous party in control of the empire - did nothing to improve the relationship between the Chochica Empire and the outsiders.

The economic relationships between this empire and others are on good terms now, but before Nazar took over, it was quite bad. He found it surprising that they survived this long.

"We have been holed up in these walls for far too long…"

Since he took over the empire, Solace did a lot to improve the relationship between these empires, and the progress she was making bore fruits, albeit at a turtle's pace.

"But they will be broken today, the walls will fall and it's finally time FOR US TO FLY AWAY!"

But now, a human broke those boundaries.

The boundaries that had existed for thousands of years finally shattered into small pieces.

"That's my promise to you all, I will make sure we spread wide across the cosmos."

The Chochica Empire spans for thousands of star systems, but despite its enormous size, some people felt like prisoners. They did not want to complain for they had a job and a stable life, but the thrill of it was missing.

So, now that the borders are open, they couldn't help but cheer loudly to unleash the pent-up emotions within then.

Imagine if they don't buy the lie I told them about not leaving the throne… that would have been embarrassing.

However, he shook his head and threw away that negative thought.

Nazar breathed a soft sigh and raised his hand like a leader once again.

"And to the rest of the universe…"

He snapped his fingers and across the universe, people could see him on most screens.

Across the stars and galaxies, people froze as they saw the face of a human on the screen.

Recently, he has been on the minds of everyone.

Before, he was an insignificant person, barely known in one quarter of the universe, but suddenly people gained memories of a life they didn't live and learned about this human and his evil power.

Pushed to a corner, he had to reveal to the universe he was a 「Destroyer」 and was the creation of the Nameless One. Since then, people looked at him differently. They were not sure what to think of him, but they did become wary of him and his existence.

Just a week ago, a new set of false memories were added into their brains, making them question this entity further.

So, they had no choice but to think about this man and keep him in their minds.

And that's something Nazar hates. Being in the spotlight is something he doesn't like, in fact, he hates it. His enemy, however, pushed him to the centre of everyone.

"In the memories you see, I was branded as a criminal who enslaved an entire empire. I would have come to stand up in front of everyone and cleared my name… But I am not going to do that."

Val’Ikryn, the Supreme Judge of the Galactic Council, narrowed his eyes on a faraway planet as he watched the serious speech leave Nazar's mouth.

"I was created a Destroyer with but just one purpose; to destroy all there is. But I didn't become what my master had planned for me, instead I became something different. In doing so, I might have started a chain of destruction."

Omegan, the Supreme God of this plane, watched Nazar's speech with great interest. Under his breath, Omegan asked, "Where are you heading with this, I wonder?"

"I have tried to stop the destruction before, but all it did was curse me further into a darkness I cannot run away from. With every attempt against this destructive entity, I was thrown deeper into this pit that stretches for infinities."

In the ever-changing world of the Outox Empire, Weq realised Nazar's true intentions, so he nodded with a faint smile.

"I will use the powers my master has bestowed upon me to destroy him and his chain of destruction. And…" his tone gradually grew depressed.

The sadness on his face was apparent.

On a faraway world, Omegan narrowed his eyes and asked slowly, "Doing that again?"

On Chias, Nazar continued, "I have been cursed with eternal life, I am forced to live until the end of everything, to watch everything fall apart before me. Everything dies, except for I. However, that doesn't mean it will take me that long to stop his reign of terror. No, I will do it soon. I will…"

His depressed voice slowly changed into a confident one.

"I will save you all," he spoke in a tone that spread warmth within the heart of everyone listening.

They were unaware of the evils lurking around them until recently, but suddenly, they felt confident those evils will be banished away very soon.

They felt peaceful deep down.

However, they did not understand why they felt peaceful.

"I will save our creation from his evils, it is a problem that started with me, and it will end with me."

Nazar paused for a brief moment.

He waited for a second and sensed something aroused in the audience.

He waited another second and saw the change go from an emotional level to physical.

And in the next second, the audience across the universe cheered for him with great excitement. They cheered to motivate him. They cheered, showing their support for him.

You wanted to put me down, you wanted me to be a criminal, you wanted me to lose everything…

A faint thin smile of victory spread across his face.

This is my counterattack. I have begun to take control of the battlefield.

Nazar breathed a sigh of relief.

Yes, being in the centre hurts. It sucks, but if I manipulate my emotions just a little, it is not a problem. A minor sacrifice in order for me to not lose to you.

"I didn't run from fake memories, and I won't hang up my throne forever, it's just a temporary measure to save the whole of creation. If, for some reasons, you have a problem with my position, then by all means, send your complaints to the temporary ruler of the empire, Baros," Nazar gestured towards Baros with his chin.

"Oh, this is not good," the space near Nazar glitched and a tall and muscular man with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes walked out. "He was born to rule this empire, he isn't a temporary ruler."

Nazar turned away from his people and faced the man behind him.

The corner of his lips curled into one side and formed a thin smile.

"Michael, what an unpleasant surprise."

The universe, which was watching them, suddenly swallowed their saliva.

Thirty thousand years ago, this angel descended and created these cosmic anomalies.

But even then, Michael was seen as a hero - and still is. A hero who saved the universe from the wrath of Lucifer.

The hero everyone wanted to thank was right here, but they found themselves at a loss for words.

They couldn't come up with words to utter, so instead, they watched the hero and the tyrant speak.

"Likewise."

The Archangel looked at Baros - his own child - with pity and then at Nazar.

Michael opened his mouth, trying to speak what was on his mind, but Nazar interrupted him, causing him to swallow his words.

"Why are you here, Michael?" Nazar asked in an unpleasant voice.

“No reason, just wanted to see this historic moment where the empire I created fell to the grounds,” he let out an exasperated sigh as he shrugged. “Ahh, and I wasted so much time one creating this.”

Nazar could feel the gazes of the universe on Michael, they were questioning the thoughts they were thinking a mere moment ago.

The effects of Michael appearing here was slowly changing the perception of people in this empire regarding Nazar.

“Making such drastic changes...” Michael shook his head, “it’s not good. Overwhelming my people will have the opposite backlash. As a ruler of such a large empire, do you not think for a moment before making decisions?”

Before Nazar could refute his words, Michael continued, causing him to eat up his words.

“A God of Destruction in battle with the one whole ruled it all…” a fake laughter escaped from the warm yellow lips of the Archangel. “Of course, to you, the likes of us are nothing but mere ants, so I can see why you would not even take a moment to reconsider your decision.”

The giggly Archangel wiggled his eyebrows.

Nazar opened his mouth to refute Michael's words and try to change the meaning of words in the minds of the audience, but at that moment, Nazar realised something, so he ignored his original idea and asked Michael, “You… Why an avatar?”

“Mm?” Michael tilted his head ever so slightly to the right. “Because I don’t want to die?”

“Hmm, that doesn’t sound right. Your expressions are unlike before, almost as if you want to entice something odd in the audience, however, nothing permanent as your accusation is childish. Even with the limited influence of their emotions, it will be useless. It is almost as if you want to waste my time here. And that leaves aside the barrier you created, like you wanted me to waste a lot of time examining it...” Nazar narrowed his eyes. “What do you want, Michael?”

“I want nothing but the well-being of my empire,” Michael smirked. In his head mind, he had the perfect plan that will ruin this day for Nazar. He knew what words will bring Nazar's downfall. He could see his victory staring back at him from the few seconds into the future. “And I don’t think you are fit for this role.”

However...

“Your opinion couldn’t be any more worthless, Archangel.”

Hearing the cold voice of Baros, Michael faced his son with raised eyebrows.

“You created this empire, left the children to survive on their own until they built something for themselves, you also let them be experimented on. Where was your duty to these people then? We could have been wiped out from the very existence.”

Baros’ angry words pierced into the souls of everyone listening.

“Where were you when the Annihilator nearly sent us to the brink of extinction?”

“I had--”

“You and your opinion of what happens in this empire are worthless, unneeded.”

Michael’s expression turned sour.

“And even if your opinion counted for something, you have no right to criticise Nazar. He did more for us in the last few years than you ever did in your worthless lifetime.”

The victory which was staring back at Michael slowly flickered away.

However, that was not the end.

He pulled another card from his sleeve.

"But he did not do anything, it was Solace."

"Silence!" Baros' green eyes flared with white energies.

“Tread carefully, child, your next words could be the end of you,” Michael stopped playing the role of a comedian and returned to his normal self.

However, Baros was unfazed. He walked closer to Michael and the sword in his hand materialised.

“Then so be it,” he stood face-to-face with his father and looked him in the eyes with unshakable will.

Archangel Michael is one of the most powerful beings in this Ultraverse, even if this is an avatar speaking, he is powerful enough to lay waste to everything in sight.

However, Baros stood tall and mighty before him, not fearing the man or the power he holds.

“If you are as good and heroic as you want people to think, then why do you not fight against his creator to save us all?”

Michael’s lips spread slightly, starting to form a whimsical smile, “Ah...”

He glanced at Nazar and nodded.

With but a short sentence, he could ruin Nazar’s life forever, he could tell the universe of his dirty secret.

His revenge was in the palm of his hand.

All he had to do was utter the words that have been screaming in his mind.

Just say the words, and win.

“Oh, one more thing,” Baros continued to speak with confidence, “do you want to tell the Chochican people that you were the one controlling the Church of Michael, harming and even killing so many of us? Or should I tell them?”

Michael’s victory slipped past his fingers once again, and now he was losing to an inferior species.

The smile on Baros’ face - which said that he had complete control over the situation and victory was his - caused Michael to chuckle bitterly.

“Do you want to tell them how you are trying to rob us of our magics? Or should I tell them?”

In a faraway city, an old man known as Krum - someone who leads the opposing political party - grunted angrily. His party had ruled over the empire for thousands of years in the name of Michael, but as it turns out, they were betrayed.

“And do you want to tell them that you are working with the one who wants to destroy us all? Do you want to tell them that you are an accomplice in nearly destroying everything there is?”

Baros took a short pause, breathed out softly and smiled victoriously once again.

“Or should I tell them?”

Michael’s right cheek twitched as he glanced around the audience.

Even if he spoke, people will not believe him as his influence of wearing off on every level possible.

The hero they wanted to thank for saving them was something so terrible, so their opinion on him changed drastically at such an alarming rate. They no longer loved him but hated him.

Their anger and hatred were directed towards this angel, and any doubt they had regarding Nazar had vanished completely.

“Heh...” Michael let out a short burst of muffled laughter. He mocked himself for allowing such a thing to happen.

The angel slowly started to come apart in small white rectangles as if he were an avatar inside a virtual reality game, about to log out.

“You will pay for this, Lucifer,” Michael muttered under his breath as his body vanished into nothing.

As the angel vanished, Baros breathed a sigh of relief.

He looked at Nazar, who was smiling at him in admiration, “Impressive.”

Baros, in return, shrugged marginally and replied in a slow voice, “It had to be done.”

The former emperor of the Chochica Empire, who was seen as a failure and worthless by many, now stood before one of the greatest powers in the history of the universe and saved Chochica Empire’s new emperor.

Across the stars, the Chochican people found a new admiration for this handsome temporary ruler of theirs.

In the past, people hated him for his incompetence when they found out about the affairs that transpired behind the scenes.

Even when Baros helped save this empire by handing it over to Nazar, people did not see it like that at first. They thought of him as a traitor.

While they were proven wrong regarding Nazar, Baros was never accepted back into his empire like he was in the past.

But maybe, it is bound to change one day.

“The universe is watching, I would recommend ending it before something worse happens,” Baros joked.

Nazar nodded with a chuckle, “Right.”

“Also...” Baros transmitted something into Nazar’s mind, and he accepted it.

“Thanks,” Nazar, who felt indebted to Baros, could only nod his head, and thank him.

He looked at the audience and raised his hand to ease their roaring emotions.

“It has been rather eventful recently, has it not?” Nazar’s tone gradually turned serious. “I have been gone for a few days, but it seems a lot happened while I was away. Krum and his few friends tried to tell you I left the empire and run away, but my administration tried to prove to you otherwise.”

The confused people slowly started to pay attention to him and not think too much about what they saw mere moments ago.

“Michael was revealed to be someone who wanted to destroy us, which is unfortunate because he could have been a great ally to have in this war. But now...”

At a loss for word and not knowing how to continue, Nazar rubbed the back of his head and chuckled.

“In any case, I promise you this, I will save you all… But just give me a little time. I might be immortal who can never die, but I won’t take too long to solve this crisis. So...”

He lowered his hand and stared directly at the millions of people.

With a stern look in his eyes and a serious voice, he said, “Believe in me.”

And just like that, this whole show was over.

Across the universe, Nazar’s face vanished from the screens and people resumed their normal life.

Nazar waved to the audience who came to see him and smiled.

“Thanks, Baros,” he spoke to the man near him without looking at him.

“Don’t mention it, I am just doing what is right.”

“Right… huh?”

Nazar glanced down as he began to think about that word.

He did not have a concept of right and wrong, but if something hurts him, then that’s wrong. So, does this mean, something that helps him is actually right?

Then what about the concept others use? Does merely helping someone equal right?

He laughed at his own thoughts.

“The world is far more complex than that.”

Since he doesn’t want to die anymore, maybe developing his own concepts of right and wrong, good and bad, among others should help keep him entertained.

“Mm, that should be fun,” his smile softened as he continued to wave his hand to the leaving audience.

Behind him, the many soldiers raised their weapons to the sky and shot colourful bullets.

It was an ancient ritual of this empire where the soldiers would shoot colourful bullets to the sky to celebrate the beginning of something new and wonderful.

He did not turn around to look at the colourful sky, but instead, he said, “I won’t let you down.”
