Chapter 159

Arc 15 - Dead Men Rising - Part 12

Nazareth, Israel, Earth:

Aarin looked at the almost dead Gods and angels and let out a heavy sigh with a slight shake of her head.

“Was this all necessary?”

Was she talking to the angels or Nazar, no one knew.

But she was very disguted at one of them.

“Aarin… What is that?”

Above her, a black haired and block eyed angel with muscular yet feminine figure, floated with her white wings flourished widely. Her beautiful triangular shaped face had a confused look on it.

She narrowed her large eyes and flew down.

“Anaiel,” Aarin turned around and looked up to her oldest friend. “I was sure you were among these bodies. Perhaps I have no need to revive them.”

“They are not dead and there would be no need for me to fight when there is no pride left in the universe to draw my power from,” Anaiel, the Angel of Pride said slowly and Aarin brushed off her remark aside. “But what is up with those golden wings and golden halo?”

The worried angel descended and stood in front of Aarin.

“Oh, this… It’s a long story.”

Anaiel crossed her arms around her chest and with a stern look on her face, she pointed to Aarin with her chin.

“I have time, go on.”

Aarin pursed her lips a little as she stared at her closest friend with a stiff look on her face.

“Tomorrow, please?” Aarin pleaded.

“No.”

However, Anaiel would not listen.

“Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” Aarin let out a long sigh. “Fine.”

As she began explaining what happened to her, her thoughts drifted to a certain human and his battle against an ancient cosmic being.

❢◥ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ◆ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ◤❢

At the edge of the material universe, Nazar shot himself towards a 'C'-shaped creature called Sephrah, the Shaper of Cosmos.

The large creature, bigger than a galaxy, looked down at the ant and wondered, what can he even do against me?

"Hey, you have been hyped up quite a lot, so it got me feeling all tingly… Please don't disappoint me," Nazar said with a thin excited smile.

"As it happens, I don't feel an ounce of pity for what's about to happen to you, pebble."

"Ouch… That kind of hurts."

Sephrah created a dome of anti-matter and shot it at Nazar.

He, however, flew through it without trouble.

Sephrah then created a pure void construct and hoped it would stop him.

But Nazar flew through this one too.

Then he created a time barrier.

"It will shred your existence to nothingness from time and space."

Nazar, however, flew through it excitedly, which caused Sephrah to become confused.

"Hrm?"

He strengthened the time barrier but the stronger it got, the more excitement it felt from Nazar.

"..."

He increased the power of the barrier but Nazar flew through it as if it was not a problem.

"How-- No, you are hurt-- But--"

"Come on, more, more, MORE, MOOOOREEEEE!"

Nazar flew right at the entity who was taken back by his odd actions and punched it in the sphere, which created a shockwave of sonic waves, destroying the newly created galaxy.

Lagos, who was standing not too far from them created a psychic barrier to shield himself from the blast.

"So, Sephrah, that's the best you can do?" Nazar sounded a little disappointed.

"Of course not!"

The time and space in front of Nazar was shredded into small pieces before they were turned into large beasts, bigger than star systems.

The beasts attacked Nazar on many different fronts, but it seemed it did not hurt him.

Seeing how the beasts failed, Sephrah created a black hole and a white hole around Nazar then merged them together, sandwiching him between it. The merger created a unique explosion of nothingness and everything.

The oddly shaped explosion of multitude of colours, ranging from red to orange, from yellow to green, from pink to purple, from black to white and so on.

The explosion which left a huge hole in the universe as well as it's ten thousand phases and was about to breach through the barriers of a higher plane.

Sephrah let out a sound that sounded a lot like a sigh of relief.

"You were not worth this much, but you -- and Lagos -- had to know I am not what I was eons ago. I have grown. I have grown in power and in person. I have grown from a kind man to an evil one."

Lagos saw the explosion and closed its teary eye.

There was no hope in stopping this madman.

"I wanted to create wonderful worlds, and then wonderful clusters of light. I gave the universe it's beautiful and flourishing form. I was a force created by a God above to do his work for him. But then… Then…"

Sephrah sounded almost sad.

"Then you came and stopped me. And then I was dead. In hell, I rotted for too long until I revolted. I was a kind man, smiling to the dark space and wanting to nurture it into something beautiful but you… YOU AND THE ANGELS AND THE DEMONS TURNED ME INTO THIS MONSTER!" he screamed on top of its lungs. "NOW MY REVENGE WILL BE EXACTED WHEN I DESTROY YOU ALL!"

"Nice sob story, but no matter what happens, I won't let you destroy this universe."

"!!"

"!!"

Hearing a lazy voice coming out of the hole, the two of them stiffened their bodies.

"For you see, I have a home here and I am happy. To keep that small world smiling, I will have to stop you."

"Ba-- How can this be?!"

Sephrah angrily changed the neutron and protons in Nazar's body to something deadly.

Or tried, at least.

"!!"

The flustered creature in space cluttered as it tried to hurt this ant before him.

"DAMN YOU!"

Sephrah tried to split Nazar's psychic into a billion pieces but that did not work either.

He then tried to split apart his soul but even that proved useless.

"No, I have not given up yet, pebble."

So, he questioned, what kind of person is this? And how can he defeat him?

"Oh, good," Nazar relaxed his shoulders in a relieved manner. "I was about to give up any hope for something decent."

"Grr."

Frantically the creature thought about ways he could defeat him.

Time, space, mind, soul… I tried all, but what is this… this thing? Why is he unaffected?!?! Sephrah thought. Perhaps he is an abstract being, or a conceptual...

And so, with newfound hope, he rewrote the universe and its cosmic concepts but Nazar blinked blankly at this odd creature.

"I am not a conceptual or an abstract entity, or even cosmic."

"..."

Sephrah, the one who understood the universe better than anyone failed to understand this odd creature.

"Blast it! I will rewrite you by unwriting your casual--"

"Is this the best you can do?"

"Hngh!"

Lagos watched as this being trembled in anger.

He could not belief his eyes.

“The abilities you hold are quite basic, I don't understand why Lucifer was scared of you--"

"Lucifer, you say?!"

The body of Sephrah shook violently, causing the phases to start collapsing.

However, Nazar snapped his fingers and restored them.

But Sephrah was too angry to notice he was accidentally going to cause the end of all.

Nazar laughed loudly in an impressed manner with a hint of surprise, "Oh, that's more like it."

“I will end the life of that pest soon!”

“Now, now, I understand why you want to kill him, and frankly, I think I will do it before you, but… Anyway, what I am trying to say, I cannot let you destroy this universe. Those I love are in this world.”

“I do not care--”

“But if you let my world live, the rest can vanish without a trace,” Nazar winked at him.

“No,” Sephrah denied it without hesitation. “I will not let a fraction of Lucifer live to see the sun rise tomorrow.”

Nazar clicked his tongue.

“What a pain...”

He arched his right hand, facing upwards, and spread his fingers wide.

“What is the meaning of this?”

“You are...”

Nazar closed his fingers very, very slowly.

“!!”

“Boring,” with just a word, Nazar clenched his fist and Sephrah screamed in pain.

The odd creature, who even sent fear to the heart of Lucifer, was crushed like a tin can.

The odd creature screamed on top of his lungs as Nazar turned him into throwable trash.

The man bigger than a galaxy was turned into something so small, smaller than a waste container

“Who is the ant now?”

“N-noo, HOW CAN THIS BEEEEE?!” Sephrah screamed.

And so, this creature was killed.

“Why does everyone want to be a God?” he asked with weary expression pasted on his face.

“I don’t want to be a God, you pebb-- I just want to end the world which turned me into this monster.”

Nazar rolled his eyes at the words of this creature.

Sephrah was slowly rebuilding itself from the small can and regaining his true size.

"You, just like Lucifer and his kind, push people to the extremes. You, just like them, control what people become. You, just like them, use them as tools."

Nazar narrowed his eyes quizzically, "What do you mean?"

"You know very well what I mean. You are a God or an angel, are you not? Someone with so much power bullying those to get into a higher position… SO BE IT!"

Having regained its true form once again, Sephrah focused on attacking Nazar physically, so using his immense psychic powers, he ripped Nazar in two parts, vertically.

"Wait, no, just a moment," from the two halves, one voice came out. "You think I am like them?"

"Precisely."

"You have gotta be kidding me…" Nazar frowned. "And look at yourself. Weren't you "bullying" that guy over there when I was on my way here? You would have killed him if not for me. Now, don't get me wrong, I couldn't care less about who dies and who lives, but Squidward--" without looking back, Nazar pointed at Lagos with the index finger of his left hand, "--over there looks pretty interesting to me, so I want to see what he was."

Sephrah did not buy his answer.

So, he created an antimatter and matter bomb between two halves of Nazar and blew it to pieces.

"I can handle anything but comparing me to that guy… That's a no no."

However, his annoying voice was still present, which caused Sephrah to grunt.

"It does not matter. I hate you, I hate him, I hate the angels, I hate the Supreme One and I HATE THIS DAMNED POWER!"

With a roar, a slash of white energy flew through the air, cutting everything in front of it in half.

"..."

Nazar ignored the attack and stared at Sephrah as he regenerated his body.

"WHAAAAAAAT?" Nazar blurted out with a comically confused look pasted on his face. "Same."

"...Huh?"

Sephrah's attack went through Nazar but it was useless.

However, both ignored that and looked at one another.

"What do you…?"

"This power I have," Nazar looked at his right hand," is not something I wanted, just given to me by some ancient God, a nemesis of the Supreme One. And then one day, I was forced to transcend the infinities and become something which I did not want to be…"

"Likewise," Sephrah said slowly. Nazar could feel the sadness in his mechanical voice. "I was a normal person, big yes and not like you, but not powerful. In any case, God descended before me one day. He reached his arm and ordered me to become a shepherd to his flock. I was ordered to nurture his creation. I had no choice but to accept that power. But even then, I smiled and created worlds. But the Supreme One was not pleased with my work, so he created him."

Although Sephrah had no fingers, Nazar could tell whom he was pointing at.

Nazar turned around and looked at Lagos, who was also surprised by what he was hearing.

"We battled and battled; our power was forcefully increased which would have led to the destruction of the multiverse. It seemed as if the Supreme One wanted to begin from nothing."

"With my great will, I fought against his control and that day was the end for both of us," Lagos said in a sad and broken voice.

Sephrah continued in a sour voice, "Then in hell, I suffered and suffered. And my punishment was ordered by the one who cursed me with this power."

Nazar clicked his tongue as he rubbed the back of his head and thought.

"This is complicated…"

"How so?"

"You see, I came here to kill you because you hurt an angel who is awfully close to you. And I did not want to take my chance of you destroying my world but now…"

Nazar trailed off as his but her lip.

"I will not apologize for my actions nor will I cease my revenge."

Nazar crossed his legs and sat down. He wanted to tell him his guard is down and he just wants to talk.

"You see, it's rare for me to sympathise with someone. But you… I can understand your pain. I understand why you would take revenge to get rid of all of them. At the same time, though, I cannot understand why you would try to kill those close to me. They have not done anything wrong to you, am I wrong?"

"..."

Sephrah avoided the question.

Lagos used that opportunity to add, "Those worlds you created, the people in them have done nothing wrong either. They are innocent and naive, unaware of the evils of our creator."

"My mission has been set in stones. I must destroy those who used me as tools and if the universe is damned… THEN SO BE IT!"

"Pff," Nazar exhaled loudly through his almost closed lips. "I was wrong. Dead wrong. I thought maybe, just maybe, you could prove challenging, but you didn't. And then I thought maybe you were better than others… But maybe I have been proven wrong once again."

Nazar stood up and stretched his arms.

"I was dead wrong," Nazar's warm crimson eyes turned cold as he shot an icy gaze towards this odd creature, causing him to step back.

"!!"

Sephrah could not understand it, but the fear he was feeling within him was welling up to an extreme degree.

"The air around you… what just…?"

"You bore me, you overgrown trash can."

Sephrah's body clattered as it rewrote the laws of the universe to leave this place, but he was too late.

Nazar narrowed his cold red eyes.

While staring coldly at Sephrah, Nazar swiped his right arm and caught a blue planet in nearby space.

"I will give you two choices, Sephrah,"

The immaterial universe Sephrah recently turned material was being eaten by darkness as Nazar's red eyes flared.

"One, destroy all you want, but leave my world, or two… Your life comes to an end, once and for all."

Nazar clenched his fist and crushed the beautiful blue planet between the weight of his fingers.

"Sephrah, what do you choose?"

Lagos swallowed his saliva as he waited for Sephrah to answer the question.

What would this creature do?

Exact his revenge against those who did him wrong but knowing he might not win at the end or let himself die.

"When we are weak, we are happy. But when we bathe in power, after drinking the drug once, our bodies and mind become different. We don't want to become more powerful, we are meant to do that, as if it's pre-determined by fate itself."

It seems Lagos was in agreement with Sephrah.

"That does not answer my question."

"What I am saying is, I will not stop in exacting my revenge. I will shatter that fate once and for all, freeing us all."

Sephrah's mechanical voice carried great confidence and determination.

"I am afraid I cannot let your world free. For this terrible fate to end, I must do something harsh. I was forced to turn this dark nothingness into something wonderful, so I must do my job and solve the problem which haunts everyone."

"Well, isn't that disappointing…"

Nazar clicked his tongue.

"Perhaps, but I have to say, it was…"

Sephrah had no face, but the two of them could sense the warm and sad smile of this person.

"Good knowing there are others who know about the evils of fate."

And with those words, he dropped a bomb into the second plane.

It would fly down to the core of the first plane and then...

"Everything will not end," Nazar muttered under his breath.

"The bomb has already reached the core; you are too slow--"

"This?" Nazar arched his hand forward.

In his open plan, a large yellow bomb in the shape of a rectangular pill floated.

"Power is suffering and death is solace, which is what I have always thought. But I cannot die. So, I cannot let my world die either yet. I don't want to be alone."

The bomb floated away from Nazar's palm and flew right at Sephrah.

"So, this is the end, huh?" Sephrah asked in a depressed voice. "It feels… wrong."

Nazar did not pay any attention to his words, but Lagos did.

Despite everything Sephrah was, Lagos felt sympathetic towards him.

He wanted to reach his hand and tell him everything will be okay, but would lying in this situation help him?

"The stench of failure will never go away… After all, death is the best option."

"Mm-hmm," Nazar nodded, agreeing with him. But he also felt a lot of envy for this creature. "Lucky you, you can die."

"... Perhaps. Perhaps."

"You can die, you cannot exist, you cannot think or feel pain, but some of us don't have that luxury."

Sephrah caught onto the bomb that was floating in front of him now.

His end was coming, so he opened his non-existent eyes.

The sphere flashed brightly.

He looked at every corner of the universe, in the present and the past, and cursed himself.

"I was wrong," Sephrah said with a sad smile. "Life is precious after all. The universe is wonderful, and heroes are… One day, this fate will no longer exist, and we can all be happy."

"Then…" Lagos shouted out, trying to prevent Sephrah from killing himself. But he was at a loss for words.

What was he supposed to say?

What would make him change his mind?

"Then…"

He forced out another word, but answers did not come out.

What were the words that should flow out of his mouth to change the fate of his enemy?

"!"

Across the stars and time, Lagos could feel the heroes once again.

He could feel the thoughts of those who saved and those who were saved by heroes.

At a time like this, could it be… Does he want me to…?

And so, the answer finally came to Lagos as his eyes fell on a certain hero from the world of explorers and scholars.

That man once stood in front of his enemy and stretched his hand at him with a wide smile.

And he said…

"Change the fate you want to fight against. Shatter that illusion which is making us become something which we are not."

Nazar narrowed his eyes as he realised who those words belonged to.

A hero well known across the universe, the greatest hero who ever lived.

"So, stand tall and mighty and stop fate before it consumes everything."

"Lagos…" Sephrah was at a loss for words.

The many emotions that were welling up within him caused his thoughts to become disorganised.

He temporarily lost control over his body.

The body acted on its own and loosened its grip on the bomb.

"So, come with me, let's leave this world behind and find fate so we can defeat it. I am weak, but I am sure, I can be of some help."

Those reassuring words from his enemy caused warm emotions to run wild within him.

He had forgotten how those emotions felt when he was cursed with power, but at long last, he finally felt something different.

Happiness, hope, and acceptance were not among the emotions he had felt for so long.

"What do you say, Sephrah?"

"I…"

What did he really want to do?

Was it to destroy all or free himself?

Was his sense of justice wrong all along? Was his way of saving people wrong?

"I will be delight--"

Before Sephrah could utter those words, those words that would let him live, those words that would finally let him live a life with many emotions, those words that will save the universe he made, a thin smile spread on the face of a white haired and red eyed monster.

With an explosion of darkness, the two beings were killed.

In the world which had no death, these two died.

Even if death dies again, they will never resurface.

After killing the two of them, the monster had one thought, Lucky.

Power has a price, and Sephrah had already paid his debt. It was time to set the bird free.

Power is suffering and death is solace. And now, Sephrah was happy.

"Arosus, do you hate me?"

In front of Nazar, a man with similar physical features stood. Was he there from earlier or just appeared out of this air, only these two would know.

Arosus.

The man who holds Nazar's omnipotent power and memories.

"Sometimes."

"That's surprising."

"We are like brothers, we are family, it happens. Sometimes you hate them, but ultimately, you can do nothing but love them. It's what they call unconditional love."

With a curious look on his face, Arosus added, "But why did you ask me that question? I was sure my feelings towards you were apparent."

"You see, I still believe you are 'X'," Nazar spoke with a lot of guilt and embarrassment in his voice. "Your powers and energy… It feels too much like my own."

"..."

Arosus stared at him blankly for a moment before bursting into laughter.

"Wait, you really think that weirdo is me?"

"...Yes."

"Wow… I am disappointed."

"Understandable."

Arosus let out a heavy sigh.

"If it were I, I would have not hidden myself behind a veil. We met a few weeks ago and I can see what caused this confusion to spiral out of control, but no, no I am not him."

Nazar did not believe him and Arosus did not care.

"Since I don't remember everything, what if you created him before me? Or maybe it was the Dragon who designed him."

"I thought you knew who it was?"

"Of course, I do, what a silly question," Arosus spoke with a bitter look on his face. "But give me one reason as to why I should tell you? Like you, I am also bored. Entertainment like this doesn't come often."

Nazar scoffed.

"That is true… This would have been a lot more fun if he didn't target those I loved."

"Okay, fine, let me do something for you," Arosus wrapped an arm around Nazar's shoulder and spoke. "I will make a deal with X to let them be and are not to be targeted in any way. Cool?"

"And what do you want in return from me?" Nazar narrowed his eyes.

An amusing chuckle escaped the lips of Arosus.

"I did not think you would ask this question right now," he said slowly. "But since you want to know… How about I become you for one day and you become me? How does that sound?"

Become the one who sits at the top once again for a day and let Arosus become him, a man pretending to be a normal human.

The option was simple, and it was a risk worth taking to keep everyone safe.

"Come on," he tapped him on the chest. "We did that once before. Being weak and human-like, it was the perfect day of life."

Nazar glanced down with guilt overtaking him.

He created Arosus to be used as a tool, a tool he didn't want to be.

I am not so different from them, am I?

"Do you hate this power too?"

"I would be lying if I said no, but unlike you, I can see it is something that cannot be changed," Arosus spoke in a depressed tone.

Hearing that, Nazar clicked his tongue silently.

He cursed himself over and over again until a thought popped up in his head.

There was still time to do something about this creation of his.

"How about I give you a human body and get rid of all that power."

"...!!"

Arosus widened his eyes.

His mouth opened and closed in surprise, unsure of what to say.

"You can live like a normal human and die like them."

Arosus could believe what he was hearing.

He stared at Nazar in disbelief.

It was a proposal like no other, so she was at a loss for words.

His emotions ran wild, trying to make sense of it.

But he was being overwhelmed, so he did the only thing he could do in a situation like this.

"I…"

Before giving Nazar his answer, the world glitched and Arosus was long gone, far away from this light.

With Arosus gone, Nazar stood in his place silently for a short while.

The nuisances which could potentially harm those he loved were gone.

The material worlds and galaxies Sephrah had made were gone.

The universe returned to normal.

In the middle of nowhere, Nazar's face twisted with an evil laugh which slowly turned into laughter.

"This is funny, real funny."

In the dark space he crackled with laughter.

❢◥ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ◆ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ◤❢

Shortly after, above the Eight-Dimensional Plane of Existence, Nazar floated.

He looked up at which there was nothing but complete void.

"Only I can reach that place… so he says," he chuckled bitterly. "So, he says, but how exactly?"

All he needed to do was look beyond the infinities and find that wretched place.

While looking beyond the infinities was easy for a man who transcends such concepts, but he could also easily miss it if he doesn't know where to look.

"Just wish for it," Lucifer who floated next to him said in a nonchalant tone, which caused Nazar to frown.

"Without activating my real wishing ability, it cannot transcend the veils of infinity. Maybe one or two or three, but what if it's higher?"

"I will never understand your power," he muttered in a tired tone.

"It's simple. He can wish for things even now, but it has its limits. But with his real ability in use, there are no limits," Aarin explained with a knowing smile.

Nazar glanced at her, who was floating on his other side.

He smiled with pride and said, "That's my sis, she gets it."

Lucifer rolled his eyes ever so slightly, no one realised it.

"Hmph, of course," Aarin puffed her chest out proudly and her nose held high.

Lucifer let out a barely audible groan.

Why are they trying to show off to me…? Lucifer wondered.

"In any case, please do something quickly before chaos brews," Lucifer hated the idea of begging for his help, but there was no other choice at the moment. "Orion is keeping the violence at minimum across the multiverse, but for how long, I am not sure."

"Can't you just take control of death yourself? You have every angel and even God's powers."

Lucifer gave Nazar an odd look that said, 'Do I look like an idiot to you? Of course, I tried that.'

But he kept his thoughts down and instead answered his question.

"He was outside the system. I could never gain control over his power."

"Hmm, interesting."

"But that's not important. Can you please try something before things get worse on your planet?"

"I am fairly sure Jesus, and his kind will keep it low. They are trying anyway. But yeah, sure, you got it."

Nazar's eyes lit up with white energy.

"I am looking at the ley lines of creation, trying to find the in-betweens of the darkness which has light in it."

He moved his hands through the air as if he were inside a cave and trying to get rid of the spider webs in front of him.

"I did not realise but the lights across the creation are many, too many in fact. Emily was wrong."

The other two did not understand, so tried to not question it.

They had an idea what he might have been talking about, so they did not want a new set of questions which caused further headache for them.

"And above them there is…"

He was looking at a lone world which existed infinitely above everything.

It was an odd place that was somehow connected to the entire creation.

"Ah, shit, I went too high and missed some places here---- YES! Found it."

Nazar's eyes returned to normal once again.

"It was just above us but hidden with an extra layer."

Nazar loosened his arms and cracked his fingers.

"Alright."

He then straightened his fingers with great strength.

With great speed, he clasped his hands in front of him. The loud thunderclap caused the darkness in front of them to wobble.

"!!"

"!!"

Both Lucifer and Aarin immediately raised their guards as a white light slowly ate away the darkness, revealing a dimension made of nothing but white light.

"Do you feel it too?"

Aarin nodded at Lucifer's question.

Nazar ignored the two of them and floated up towards the light.

"I have created a barrier around you so you will not die."

"..."

"Thanks," Aarin smiled.

Nazar went through the light and found himself in the middle of a white dimension that never ended.

The other two soon followed him.

As soon as those two appeared, they spread their wings wide as halos appeared atop their heads. The glowing halos allowed them to tap into their true power.

The odd angels looked around with suspicious eyes.

"What brings you here?"

From the white light in front of them, someone shot forward.

Nazar saw the tip of a blade in front of him, waiting to penetrate his skin, so he whistled.

"Man, that was slow," he said as his shoulders dropped.

"Who…"

"...Are you?"

Both Lucifer and Aarin look at this person with wide eyes of surprise.

Before them stood a man who wore a golden armour with some crystal blue decorations. The crimson tailed from his hips at ankle length flapped in the air.

The angel with golden hair and orange eyes like fire tightened his grip on the sword as he brought it closer to Nazar's face.

"Who are you?" the angel asked.

He glanced at Lucifer and Aarin but ignored them, almost as if he knew who they were.

"No, who are you?" With a nonchalant look on his face, Nazar moved away this angel's flaming orange sword.

"I am the 「Guardian of Oblivion」, why have you come here?"

Nazar was about to say something, but Lucifer spoke.

"I am Lucifer, and we have come for Azazel, the Angel of Death."

"Oh, is that so?" the angel lowered his blade and it vanished into thin air. "How did you find this place? After a certain event twenty one years ago, this place could no longer be accessed by anyone."

"It's better if you don't know," Nazar said as he walked past him.

The angel turned his head a little with thin eyes and looked after Nazar.

While he was not looking, he noticed the angry gaze in his eyes.

"Anyway, where is Azazel?"

"Azazel…" the angel looked at Lucifer. "Since my ascension, I cannot see the world down there. How can death die?"

"It's a long story which we have no time for," Lucifer spoke in a forced respectful tone but the angel could feel a hint of anger and annoyance in it.

"Ascension?" Aarin widened her eyes. "Wait, you are that…"

Lucifer looked at Aarin with a complicated look on his face.

She was someone whose presence was never noticed by the high-class angels, but now she had power that could rival theirs and knowledge that surpasses theirs.

"Yes, Aarin, I used to be a human."

Nazar stopped moving as he narrowed his eyes in a curious manner.

A human with power, even before him? How could this be? Was he not the first? And if he isn't, then did everyone lie to him?

He spun his body like a drill and threw himself backwards.

He stood in front of the angel and looked at him closely.

The angel felt extremely uncomfortable, but he tried his best to ignore him.

"Two thousand years ago, the Supreme One ascended me to an angel. He said he had use for me in this place. He said I should guard his Oblivion."

Lucifer stared at this man with profound confusion.

If there was a new angel, he would have been aware of it.

"Oh," Nazar, who now felt relieved that Aarin had not lied to him.

"You are Megatron."

"..."

"..."

"..." Metatron smiled wrly.

"Wait, no, I mean Metatron. The human who ascended into an angel. Right?"

"Y-yes," Metatron replied in a stiff tone as he took a step back. This man made him feel uncomfortable beyond comprehension. "He changed my physiology into something which could withstand the harsh conditions of higher dimensionals."

"Hm, no wonder. Your physiology has been changed on a fundamental level, leaving nothing human about you. Interesting."

Aarin's eyes fell on Nazar and noticed the relieved look on his face.

At first it confused her, then as her eyes went wide, she realised what it was.

He is happy that he is the first...

Aarin could not grasp the change she felt from him at that moment.

So, she smiled softly.

"You really have changed," she muttered softly under her breath. .

Lucifer clicked his tongue and spoke impatiently, "So, where is Azazel?"

"He is…"

The angel pointed to a location behind him.

Without waiting, the three of them walked towards it.

"It's time for the Angel of Death to return to the land of the living," Lucifer tried to dampen his emotions so he could make logical decisions when the time comes. "One way or.."
