Chapter 155

Arc 15 - Dead Men Rising - Part 8

Nazareth, Israel:

Jesus of Nazareth was back, like everyone else.

He could feel the power of other Gods, who were sent as prophets to this world.

They were sent to convert the non-believer, they succeeded to a degree, so with a nod, all the prophets raised their hands into the air and reached to their followers.

The strange warm energy flowed out of the prophets and entered the bodies of their followers.

The panic was immediately gone and so were their fears.

They could think clearly and see clearly as well.

The zombies no longer looked as scary, and the world was not coming to an end today.

Humanity could survive this day.

They were sure of it.

But for how long, no one knew that.

Once the job was done, Jesus looked up the floating castle above the hill.

"What is going on there?"

❢◥ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ◆ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ◤❢

In the floating castle where time was frozen, Nazar nodded to their figure.

"Kill him as many times as it takes, but sorry, he cannot die forever. Either way, he must suffer."

Hearing the regret in his voice, the other person smiled softly in gratitude.

"Thanks, Nazar, I appreciate all that you have done for me."

"You're welcome…"

!!!

An idea flashed through Nazar's mind, so he smiled thinly in a teasing manner.

"Mom."

The other person clenched their fist and slammed it into the top of his head.

While it should have hurt him, he laughed instead.

Despite the situation they were in, he laughed happily.

"Call me Alice, God damn it!!!" she roared angrily.

❢◥ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ◆ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ◤❢

A short while earlier - the Void:

In black pitch-black place where neither light nor sound exists nor does time or space, Nazar teleported in.

I came here to search for Alice, but where can I even find her? This place is HUGE!

The Void was a large place that held the multiverse in it, so he frowned at the thought of searching every corner of this place.

I must find her before she gets in more trouble--

He swallowed his thoughts as he sensed something close by.

“Huh?” in this soundless world, he spoke.

Nazar turned around and looked at someone who was sitting atop a hose behind him.

“Dullahan?”

“God,” the Dullahan held her head in her hand and got off the horse. She stood on the ground (?). “I should not be surprised that I can talk in such a place.”

“God this, God that, when will you people learn I have a name,” Nazar frowned.

With her usual expressionless face, the Dullahan said, “Don’t you call people by silly names too? And their titles?”

“...”

Nazar stared at her blankly.

While the world had no light, the two powerful individuals could see one another perfectly.

“Smart ass.”

“I am honoured by your praise, milord, thank you.”

“...”

Nazar nodded stiffly.

“A-anyway, it’s nice to finally meet you, Dullahan.”

“That does not make sense, I have met you two times before, God.”

“Call me Nazar, please,” he said with a short breath.

Clearing his throat, he added, “At that time, I let my two other personalities deal with you.”

“Oh.”

She was surprised and confused, but neither her words nor expressions suggested that.

“In any case, calling you a Dullahan sounds weird after I said all that, so what’s your name?”

“Areo, as I am sure you already know.”

“”Areo” is not a person, it means Dullahan in the Flokeran Dynasty, where Lucifer got the name from.”

“...”

The Dullahan herself did not know that, so once again, she found herself at a loss for words.

“You really are a God.”

He groaned loudly and painfully.

“Ugh, you will never change, huh?”

“It is not in my specifications to change.”

“Specification…?” Nazar felt overly complicated about that word. It reminded him of Solace, and at the same time, he felt bad for her because she was being used as a tool. “In any case, what is your job exactly?”

"To collect souls of powerful individuals and guide them down the rabbit hole," she joked but the other person did not catch onto her intent.

Nazar waited in anticipation for her to describe the rest of her tasks.

He waited.

And waited.

But there was no answer, so he frowned.

As he was about to speak, the Dullahan opened her mouth.

"Before I take souls away, they always ask for a last wish from me. And most are…" the Dullahan hesitated to speak for a brief moment. "They ask me to do… weird things with my body. I am obviously obliged to do as they say, but I never understood that."

"What kind of things?"

"Is it not obvious? To touch certain parts of their body with my head or of my own. It's quite disgusting and uncomfortable."

Nazar widened his eyes, feeling disgusted.

He covered his mouth as he thought.

Tools to be used, people having their ways without… This is…

He stood in his place, looking left and right as he thought.

He isn't a hero who will stop injustice, but at the same time, he isn't someone who will let something like this continue.

People being used like tools is something he hates more than anything.

"Do you want to be a Dullahan? Do you hate it?"

"..."

The Dullahan's eyes darted left and right as she thought.

"I do not hate it, but I wish I did not have to do so much for these rotten smells. Would have been better if I could not smell the souls at all."

"Then that's what it will be," he said sternly.

"Pardon?"

"I will see to it that you do your job, which is to just bring rotten souls to hell, but the rest… You don't have to do that. Hell, you don't even have to be a tool."

"I am not a tool, God, I am merely doing my job."

"So, if you had the chance to be something different, would you not take it?"

"I do not think so."

"I see…"

This is quite complicated. He clicked his tongue. Why do I sound like those meddling heroes I hated so much?

"Alright, forget that, that was wrong of me. It seems like I am becoming the thing I hate the most."

"And what do you hate the most, God?"

He turned away from her and slowly started to walk away.

"Being a God."

Although he said that slowly, the Dullahan heard it very clearly.

"I understand."

The Dullahan walked after him in silence.

This place, which exists outside of time and space, the Dullahan could not tell how long they were walking in silence for, but she did not care.

They might had been silent, but they were not free. They were busy searching for the Angel Killer.

"Why do you want to find her, Dul-- Calling you a Dullahan feels weird."

Nazar let out a soft grunt of annoyance.

"What a pain."

"Then can you give me one?"

"Give you what?"

"A name."

Nazar paused and turned around to look at her.

"Are you sure?" for a moment he wondered if she was joking. Or perhaps talking to someone else.

The Dullahan did not hesitate to answer, so she moved her head up and down a little with her two hands, nodding - or something close to it.

"Emilia 'Emi' Grace. How does that sound?"

"That sounds beautiful."

"Oh, is that so?" he sounded proud of himself. "That's good."

"But what does it mean?"

People care about the meaning of their names?!

Nazar found it odd, but he did not hesitate to answer her question.

"Emilia Justina was a character in one of my favourite light novels. Her name in Japan, the country where she moved to after a certain accident, she named herself Emi Yusa. The name was quite fascinating, so I always thought I should give this name to someone close. The other versions of me didn't allow me to name their children or else I would have given that to someone already."

Nazar laughed bitterly.

"They don't understand the beauty of this name!! I mean, Emilia was such a fantastic and beautiful character, her progress as a character and heroism was a work of art," his tone slowly turned sour. "But the author ruined it. LIKE HOW THE HELL DID HE DO THAT?!? The final volume sucked… WHY DID HE NOT LET HER WIN?!? There is no way anyone would choose Chiho over Emilia, the most amazing one in the series. And obviously the development was meant for her but did the author completely forgot about it? Why did Maou had a change of heart at the LAST MOMENT?!? That doesn't make sense. DAMN YOU, AUTHOR! I NEED ANSWERS! I WILL REWRITE THAT STORY MYSELF!"

"....'

The Dullahan watched blankly as Nazar went on ranting about something she did not know or heard of.

"And I hate Chiho and her big bust. The only time I hate bust. I mean come on, such a--- ugh, I can't even praise her looks. I haven't liked her after Volume 5.5, so obviously… BUT STILL! SHE SUCKS. I HATE HER. I HOPE SHE DIIIIIIIEEEEESSSSSSS!"

He is still going about this? the Dullahan thought.

"Ahhh, right, yes, that's it," Nazar's face was ripped in half with an evil smile, "I have the power to do it. With my power, I can change it. I can change the story. I can remove her from the very existence!"

Nazar continued to rant for a long time as they walked slowly searching for Alice.

The Dullahan was not annoyed by how much Nazar ranted about things she didn't understand, but she was happy that it was not always silence. She did not like silence as much.

She would rather hear souls scream for an eternity that not hear anything.

So, these few moments, which could have been days or weeks, felt very lively to her.

She found the constant ranting of Nazar to be funny.

"God… No," she used her hands to shake her from left to right, "Nazar, you really are amusing."

Nazar looked back at her with wide eyes.

She was quite these last few days, but that's not what caused him to be surprised.

No, it was something else.

"You… can do that?"

The Dullahan, Emilia 'Emi' Grace, was snickering in a faint voice.

On that day, she realised the muscles on her face could move differently to form a different expression and her voice can vibrate in a different frequency to create a wonderful sound without the coldness. Perhaps she could always do this or perhaps it was only today she found this ability, but she did not question it.

She liked it.

လလလ

After a long travel, the two of them stopped moving. Nazar snapped his fingers, and a white explosion flew outward, creating a massive dome of light.

With light finally shinning in this place, the eyes of the two travellers fell on a certain woman hugging her knees.

"Alice…"

"Nazar--"

Alice wanted to raise her immediately in surprise, but then decided against it.

She closed her eyes and thought, To be expected from him.

"I shouldn't have let you go to hell the other day."

"Go away, please."

"No, I don't think I will."

With force, he walked closer towards the Angel Killer.

"This is my mess; you didn't have to remember the sour world and did not have to make a deal with the devil just so you could be free from all of this. But you still brought this new hell over yourself. Every angel and God are looking for you, to kill you."

"..."

Alice kept quiet and did not say anything.

"To be honest, I was scared to meet you back then. Hell, even now. I didn't want to face you because I know you dislike me, but that doesn't mean you have to be dragged into my battles and fight it by yourself. After all, you are a mere bystander in all of this."

"... I don't dislike you," she muttered under her breath.

Emi and Nazar heard it but decided to ignore it.

"Come with me and let me fix this for you."

"Haha," Alice forced out a dry laughter. "Why don't you fix your own problems."

"That's because…"

Nazar looked away uncomfortably.

Emi wondered why he could not answer that.

It was illogical for him not to fix his own problems if he can.

"Is it because you like to suffer?"

Nazar did not say anything.

"You talk as if you are a hero, someone who will save anyone in trouble, but you do this because you are hoping someone strong enough will come to hurt you. You cry on the surface, but deep down, you cherish the pain."

Nazar has admitted to this many times before but hearing it from her caused him to freeze.

He did not have to wonder how she knew that, but at the same time, he thought, what else did X and the Queen tell her?

"I don't understand you, I really don't."

Nazar narrowed his eyes after clicking his tongue tiredly.

"I might like to suffer, but I hate to see you being used like a tool. There is nothing else I hate more than seeing those around me being mistreated like this."

He reached out his hand.

"Maybe I would have ignored it if it had nothing to do with me, but it does, which is why I am standing before you today, Alice. This is my problem, so let me fix it for you."

"Do you feel responsible for me too?" Emi, the Dullahan asked.

She was curious, why did he say he will free her? Was it out of good will?

Nazar turned his head around and looked at Emi from the corner of his eyes, "Yes, if it wasn't for me, the Satan--"

"Asura. He calls himself Asura."

"..."

Nazar let out a soft grunt.

"Sat--ASURA would have never been created and neither would have been you. You would have not existed. So, yes, I feel responsible for you."

"I see…"

For some reasons, she was quite disappointed. She could not explain it, but she was hoping this wasn't his reason.

"The angels and the Gods are looking for you," he looked at Alice again, "I don't want you to lose your life, especially since Rebecca is waiting for you at home."

Alice raised her head for the first time and looked at Nazar.

"She was asking about you, so go home, don't let her worry."

Alice abruptly stood up and held Nazar by the collar.

"Don't tell me you dragged her into this too?!" her words were full of rage and fury. "And how do you know her, you monster?"

"I didn't," Nazar forcefully lowered her hands and fixed his collar. "And she is just a friend, a human friend."

"..."

Alice bit her lip then clicked her tongue and turned around to look away.

"Please go away, I don't want to ever--"

Nazar held her hand and said, "No."

"..."

"No matter how meddling I sound, no matter how much you hate me, no matter how you look at me, I will not let you stay here. I will take you outside and you will tell her that yourself."

"I don't want to," she tried to free her hand from his, but simply put, he was too strong for her.

"I don't care what you have to say in the matter, call this my revenge. You dragged me into a war with hell in the first world, a war I wanted nothing to do with, but like an idiot, I smiled because I couldn't say no. Do you know why?"

Alice knew the answer to that, she didn't want to hear it again, but he did not stop talking.

"When I was a child, on the verge of death, put in that miserable state by my own parents, your nursed me back to health, you saved me. You were the only hope I had, the only light."

"!"

Alice widened her eyes.

Every word of her caused her to take a step back or try to anyway.

This was not something she wanted to hear.

She didn't want to know this.

"The reason I didn't kill myself all those years ago in that world was because you were there, always with me in my mind. Sure, I tried anyway when my powers came back, but maybe I did not really want to do that because of you."

Something washed over Alice, causing her mind to go completely blank for a split second.

In that blank mind of hers, images of a young Nazar popped up.

She remembered every single moment they spent together, trying to have him feel better after painful experiments, or trying to fight against his parents to give him a day off, or crying when the young child was finally killed, and being surprised when he rose from the dead.

At that time, the word that came out of her mouth was "monster".

"That child is still within me, he can never repay your kindness, not for a trillion years, so let me do this now, Alice, please. Let me pay off a small amount of that never-ending debt."

Although she said that back then, she did not mean it.

She wanted to convince herself that she hated this child, he was a tool to be used, to be thrown away when done with.

She wanted to hate him.

"I don't care what you think of me, see me as a monster or a tool, but I always see you the way that child saw you. A mother. A kind mother."

She wanted to see him as a monster.

As a tool.

She wanted to hate him.

Because deep down, she wasn't able to face reality.

"The little boy whom you smiled at is in your debt forever. I can never repay you back. You were the only hope in my life, the one good thing back then. You were the light at the end of the dark tunnel I walked."

"..."

The memories kept popping off in her heard, and the cruel smile she smiled behind his back too.

But what was that smile for?

Simply, it was to deceive herself.

"You showed me the best of what humanity had to offer, more than anyone else. Ever. So, let me do the same here. Let me free you off this hell you have created for yourself."

"Nazar…"

Alice's chest welled up as a certain emotion overwhelmed her.

Her face twisted.

Her eyes turned red as streams of cold tears poured down her beautiful face.

Looking Nazar in the eyes, with a broken voice, she said, "I am sorry."

Her face lowered as she cried her heart out while saying sorry.

Nazar, however, smiled softly.

"I am sorry."

Alice rested her head on his shoulder as she continued to apologise.

"You don't have to apologise to me, ever," he said slowly.

Emi watched in confusion. She wondered why he was smiling when she was crying. She is young, so emotions are quite new to her.

“That’s my thing,” he added in a sarcastic tone.

“I am sorry.”

“I told you just now, you don’t need to apologise. I should be the one apologising.”

He placed his hands on her shoulders and she moved away from his chest.

He moved his hands and with his cold fingers, he wiped the tears off her face.

With a wide smile on his face, he said, “So, will you come with me?”

Alice bit her lip as she forced her face from twisting up and starting to cry again.

So, she sucked in a breath and nodded.

“Yes,” she forced the muscles on her face to form a huge smile.

“Great,” he looked relieved. “I am glad.”

“But...” she lowered her head as she remembered what she did to Azazel. She wanted to be free, but she damned the very universe.

“Don’t worry, Alice, I will save you-- No,” he shook his head from left to right. “That’s what heroes say, and I don’t like them. So...” he narrowed his eyes as he smiled evilly. “I will stand against the whole universe and defeat them one by one. Be it angels or demons, they will all go down today!”

Seeing how he forced that act; Alice couldn’t stop herself from chuckling.

“You really are weird,” she said with a smile as she wiped her tears.

“So… What is going to happen now?” Emi, still very confused about what she saw here today.

“I am taking her back home-- Ah, why were you looking for her?”

To his curious question, she replied without any hesitation, “I was sent here to see what had happened to the dead residing in this hell, but then I sensed her odd energy and became curious. I mistook her for the resident of the Void.”

“Oh...”

Nazar was slightly disappointed by her answer. He was hoping that the Demon King was looking for her, so he could use that as a reason to fight him again.

“Anyway, let’s go home,” he looked at Alice again. “I, uh-- There is someone you must meet.”

“...”

Alice stared at him for a brief moment with a lot of anxiousness in her heart. Whom was she meant to meet?

❢◥ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ◆ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ◤❢

“Ah, daughter, you have grown,” back in the present, in the frozen castle above Nazareth, the demon spoke in a beastly voice. “Sad to say, I missed your childhood.”

Alice’s cheek twitched in anger.

“Oh! I was thinking, if I am back, does this mean your mother is back to the land of the living too?”

The demon smiled thinly as Alice widened her eyes, taken back by what he said.

From the corner of her eyes, she looked at Nazar.

He understood the complex look on her face.

They both had parents who died and might have returned but they did not want to confirm if they had really returned.

“That makes two of us.”

“...”

“We both don’t want to know if our parents are back.”

“Parents are back… !!” her tone grew worried as she swallowed her saliva to wet her dry throat. “You don’t mean...”

“Yeah, my father died a few years back.”

“Did they kill him?”

“No,” he shook his head. “It was natural death. But don’t worry about that, you and I have a lot to catch up with, though we have to do that later, first we have to deal with this loser.”

Seeing how he wanted the topic to change, Alice threw away her thoughts of her mother and looked at her father, the demon.

Her mother was an angel, who died while giving birth to Alice - or perhaps killed, but she will never know - so she had never seen her. She knew a lot about her mother from Aarin, but she had never met her. However, she had no desire to meet her mother.

“Anyway, you should do what you want with him. We are in a frozen time, so take as long as you want.”

Alice nodded as her flaming sword materialised.

“There was so much I wanted to ask, so must I wanted to know, but right now, I do not care anymore. I don’t think you have the answers to my questions.”

She swung her sword as she jumped at him.

“And I have no desire to hurt you, you don’t deserve it. I won’t give you the satisfaction of angering me anymore. So...”

As her sword penetrated the soft meat of the demon, he screamed in pain.

The sword went through his body and stabbed his core, destroying it, killing him.

Alice turned around and walked away.

“Do what you must with him.”

“It is done, he will walk to the ends of the worlds and suffer in their stead. And eternity of constant pain awaits him, glorious.”

The demon’s body slowly reformed, but Nazar and Alice were walking far away from it.

He reached out his hand, but they were too far away.

They were long gone.

However, he could hear the scornful tone of Nazar.

“If I am to live forever, so will he. And if worse comes to worse, I will push all my pains on him too.”

“Sounds good,” Alice replied to him with a short laugh.

The demon clenched his fist in anger.

“Damn you… DAMN YOU, HUM--”

The next instant, a large explosion of light appeared around him, then it condensed into nothingness, taking the demon away forever.

Nazar watched that from the corner of his eye and scoffed, “So, it begins.”

Alice heard his muttering but chose to ignore him.

“Alright, go to my home Plymouth and you will find Rebecca there.”

Alice stopped moving and abruptly pushed herself forward angrily.

She angrily stared Nazar in the eyes and asked, “Oh, I hope there isn’t something sketchy going on between you two.”

Her cold tone caused Nazar to move his head and upper shoulder back abruptly a little.

“What do you…?”

“She is in your home… and you knew her… TELL ME!”

For a split second, her eyes flared with red energy.

“What? No, no,” Nazar replied in a disgusted tone. “Of course, not. That would be like dating my stepsister.”

“...”

She moved back and coughed, trying to get rid of her embarrassment.

“Oh.”

“Yeah, she is dating my best friend, Harry. They have been together for a while now…. And I said that because she said something about dropping in on Tuesday or Wednesday, so I thought she would be there.”

“...”

Alice twirled around and looked away.

She was trying her best to get rid of her feeling of embarrassment.

“Jeez, Alice,” Nazar shook his head.

“I am sorry, that was a stupid accusation.”

“Like mother, like daughter,” Nazar said wearily.

Curious, Alice turned around and narrowed her eyes.

“She accused me of sleeping with you,” he shouted with even more disgust than before.

“Ugh,” Alice groaned in disgust too. “What is wrong with her?”

“What is wrong with both of you?!”

“Fine, fine, I will teach her to be better.”

“And who's going to teach you to be better?”

“...”

Alice looked left and right, avoiding his gaze.

“I don’t need teaching,” her tone suggested she could have said nothing more obvious.

Nazar groaned loudly with a weary face.

“Seriously, you--”

“Angel Killer!”

Nazar had resumed time in this place, so in the last moment, thousands of angels and Gods popped out of the thin air, floating above them.

Alice swallowed her saliva in fear.

She can kill any angel and demon, but facing a horde of angry angels and Gods, some of whom she cannot kill, caused her body to shrink.

Her eyes darted left and right as she analysed the battlefield and the players.

She is fast enough to react to these conceptual beings who can move faster than light, but no matter how much she dodges, it won’t be enough to keep her safe for long.

In the old world, Alice went to Hell and tried to kill the demons, however, she found them hard to kill, so she had to unseal her power.

But back then, she could only do that because she took the demons by surprise, but now, these angels, who are more powerful than the demons stood ready to attack any moment.

Unsealing her powers could prove useful, but by the time she chants the spell, she could be dead.

"Your end has come," spoke Azrael, the Angel of Destruction.

How long could she last before she die?

Can she ever see her child again?

Can she ever pay for her crimes against the multiverse?

What if she had taken Azazel's advice and fought against the control? Could things have turned out differently if she had never made a deal with them?

Could things have turned out differently if she put up a fight against her controllers?

But then she would have died.

No matter what route I take, I end up in this muddy puddle which drags me down to the netherworld.

She looked down, awaiting her death.

She was not going to fight, she would lose instantly if she tried.

She stood no chance.

The end was coming.

"Stand aside, angels."

Hearing the stern and powerful sound, she raised her head and saw the back of the person she wanted to hate.

Her mind turned blank as she was awestruck.

"Nazar…"

She did say he will face the universe for her, but at that time, she thought he was trying to assure her with empty words.

In the first world, he stood beside her in a war, but back then, he was manipulated to be part of it, so she was never expecting him to stand against the mighty angels.

"!!"

She widened her eyes and threw away her confused yet happy state.

This isn't right, she thought.

"No, don't, you will--" she reached her hand with a worried look on her face.

She knows he is powerful, she knows he is the creation of the Destroyer, but even he has his limits.

"You can't. You will die," she pleaded to him as she tried to hold him back. "You are strong, sure, but these… these things are…"

Nazar turned around his head ever so slightly.

He had a faint smile on his face, which caused Alice to be even more confused than before.

"We have a lot to catch up with."

Nazar arched his left hand, facing upwards. In his palm, a white energy ball was created.

"Go home now, Alice, go to your daughter."

"But--"

"No buts Alice."

"I--'

Alice swallowed her words and bit her lip in anger.

How could she let him get hurt for her? Especially how she badly she treated him sometimes?

"I will be home in a few minutes, so don't worry. It will all end in a flash."

"..."

She shut her eyes forcefully to keep the coming tears down.

"Damn it," she muttered under her breath.

"Please take this, if you don't, these angels will go for your daughter. So, go home and make sure she is safe. Ah, and please keep an eye out for my family. I don't want them to get hurt either."

Taking a few deep breathes, she opened her eyes with great strength.

Maybe it's cowardice, but I won't let anything bad happen to her, Alice reached her hand towards the ball of energy. Or them.

"Good, take the ball of energy and it will guide you home."

She did as he said, she took the ball of energy.

"See you at home."

While her expression was full of strength, she still worried deeply about him.

"Be… be careful, please."

He has heard that phrase many times before, but for the first time in so long, it felt like someone actually meant it.

Someone was worried for him.

Someone was worried he would be harmed.

"..." his smile widened ever so slightly in happiness. "Thanks."

That was not very reassuring to her, so she prayed to the God she never believed in to keep him safe.

She hoped the God above the clouds will hear her and come stop his angels.

But...

"I hear your prayer, Alice, and..." while his smile was faint, she could see both happiness and sorrow behind it. "They will be answered for you."

"Huh…" with many emotions soaring through her, she widened her eyes a little. With her mouth gaping open widely, she finally understood.

She understood what he told the demon.

She understood what he truly is.

"That means…"

The ball of energy exploded, and Nazar marched forward towards the angels.

Before she was teleported away, she caught a glimpse of this human marching towards the mightiest army in creation.

Then a flash of light washed over her vision, and everything became a blur for a moment.

Trillions of people die every second as their life span comes to an end.

Millions of worlds die each moment to give birth to new worlds and civilizations.

Dozens of universes die every minute to give birth to new and better universes.

In different corners of the multiverse, someone was forcefully teleported in for a split second and stole their pain, leaving the victims confused, but without pain and sorrow.

Then he was sent elsewhere.

The demon known as Zerathos was cursed to steal pain away from everyone, be it physical, mental or emotional.

On a young world of Z2890 of the Nebula 43 in Universe-55, a young girl lost her parents to bandits. She was crying in pain over their dead bodies but they suddenly woke up. Confusion, sorrow and fear overwhelmed her, but someone teleported in and then her pain was gone. She was no longer scared of the dead rising or felt sorrow in her chest for their death.

In a warship in the middle of a black hole, the crew screamed in fear for their life. Just moments before they died, the demon was teleported in and they died with a happy smile on their faces. Death might not exists, but at least they don’t feel pain anymore.

On the dry desert world of B66, Universe-289218, water was recently found. It's only resident jumped into the water as he finally felt alive… but only for a moment. He started to drown and could not be saved. He struggled to get out, but it was impossible. Then suddenly the demon popped in, and the pain was gone, so he gave in to death without any pain.

On a small world at the edge of a nebula, a child got separated from his parents for a rbief moment, so he started to cry. However, someone teleported in, stealing his confusion and sadness, giving him a chance to find them quicker.

A world fell to the horde of the zombies, but the people nor the world felt any pain when it exploded. It was because someone stole it's pain.

“Arrrgggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!”

The demon was being teleported to so many places in such a short time, he felt like he was being shredded into pieces.

The only thing he could do was scream in pain and agony.
