Arc 14 - Absolute Wish - Part 11

The Dragon was possessing the mercenary Alek.

“Behold...”

The Dragon was floating above the ground, looking down at Nazar.

Suddenly, he felt something weird around him.

An invisible cube of some sort had appeared around him.

“My 『BLACK UNIVERSE』!”

The Dragon - inside Alek’s body - spread his arms wide.

He tried to touch the walls of the cube so he could destroy it.

But no matter how much he extended his arms, the cube grew bigger and bigger, making the walls unreachable.

But on the outside, the walls of the cube were unaffected. They were not changed.

“『Oh?』”

I am not shrinking, but the cube isn’t expanding outside either… What kind of cube have you made, God?

He looked at Nazar with thin eyes.

Huh? It seems I am stuck here. I cannot leave this body. Interesting.

“You will pay a hefty price for your crime, Dragon.”

The cube in Nazar’s hand spun even faster than before.

A hint of dark colour was added to the cube.

The Dragon squinted his eyes.

The cube around him grew a little darker while at the same time, it was growing larger and larger.

He felt very small as if he was just one man inside an infinitely big universe.

Yet I look the same from the outside. And I am not shrinking either. To show this much degree of control over space...

He snorted.

It wasn’t a mocking reaction.

“『Impressive, God.』”

Nazar was blocking him from going out of this cube, but there was something else which was happening to the Dragon.

My power seems to have vanished… Ngh.

The Dragon felt intense pain inside his head.

My mind is being attacked as well… Ah.

He swallowed his saliva again as the pain within him increased.

He wasn’t just feeling pain physically or mentally.

He is attacking my very existence.

The cube was attacking him on three fronts at the same time.

Inside this cube, planets came into creation. Then moons. Then suns. Then galaxies.

It turned into a universe of itself.

Inside a universe so big yet so small, the Dragon fell to his knees in pain.

There was no ground but even then, he felt like he had fallen onto the ground.

“Nothing to say, imbecile?” Nazar spoke to him as he continued to laugh sinisterly. “After all that bragging, you have gone quiet. Wait, don’t tell me this is the end of the rope for you?”

The universe around the Dragon started to shake violently.

“The pain, suffering, sorrow, jealousy, loss, violence, anger… All the negative thoughts, actions, feelings… Everything that has happened and might happen… From an ENTIRE MULTIVERSE!” Nazar spread his arms wide. “Everything turned into a singular attack.”

Since it got a little noisy, Eddie, who was lying down a little further away from Nazar, slowly opened his eyes as he groaned.

He has removed my very powers. I am no different than a mere human. To make matters worse, I cannot leave this body.

“Oh and that’s not the best part of it.”

Excitement welled up in Nazar’s chest.

He hasn’t felt this excited in a while.

“Your powers have been stolen and added to the barrier. It will amplify it by a trillion-- no, let me make it sextillion and shoot it back right at you.”

Once the cube appeared, it stole the power of the Dragon and made it it's own.

That power was now being amplified as ticking noise was heard by the Dragon.

“Behold...”

Every planet and galaxy started to explode.

The explosion was redirected right at the man -- Dragon -- who stood at the centre of it.

He tried to raise his hand to cover his eyes, but a beam of energy shot him from every angle, so instead, he steamed in pain and agony.

“My...”

The anger within Nazar had vanished completely.

Only excitement remained within him.

He shouldn’t be feeling excited, not when he is trying to kill someone like the Dragon, but he couldn’t help himself.

He hasn’t used the 「Black Universe」 in a very long time.

Considering he has made a few changes to it, he was excited to see what kind of fruits he can reap.

“『BLACK UNIVERSE』!”

The Dragon continued to scream in pain.

He should have died a second ago, but Nazar made sure he lived for a little longer so he could feel more pain.

And so, the cube lit up with white light, which was brighter than a supernova.

Every explosion and energy beam was aimed at the Dragon, even people on the outside could see that.

Lucifer smirked, enjoying the beautiful view of suns blowing up like flowers blooming and energy beams flying as if they were fireworks.

He felt happy.

“How does it feel to be a mor--”

“Yo, dumbass,” Eddie, who just sat up and was scratching his eyes, spoke lazily, “what are you talking about? I am not dead.”

With the creaking sound of his neck, Nazar turned around and looked behind him.

Seeing that Eddie was perfectly fine, his face brimmed with happiness as the evil smile vanished from his face.

His excitement vanished and got replaced by genuine happiness.

“Oh--”

However, that happiness did not last long.

BOOM!

Someone landed with force.

The pocket reality was destroyed into small pieces, so the island was brought back into its rightful place.

Nazar created a shield around Eddie to protect him.

Seeing how there were innocent bystanders, Lucifer created a barrier to protect them.

He tried to teleport them out of here, but the Dragon’s presence along with the new people who landed around the planet, it was interfering with the laws of physics and nature.

It will take a short while for Lucifer to fix the damage done, so he just created a barrier to protect them.

Nazar looked at where the person had landed.

Since part of the island was sucked into a pocket dimension, the buildings in the real world were unaffected to keep Nazar’s focus away from the pocket dimension. Furthermore, the Dragon had recreated those buildings within the pocket dimension to confuse everyone on this island and not question things.

So, one building crumbled to pieces when the person landed.

As the dust cleared, Nazar saw a petite woman in a shiny skin-tight black armour. There were thin purple vertical energy lines from her shoulder at arm's length, and from her waist at ankle length.

On her chest, he saw a glowing emblem.

The emblem consists of a triangular shape inside a circle made of a dragon, with an eagle-like creature sitting on top of the circle. There is an arrow piercing something inside the triangular shape. Inside the triangular shape, it is a circular world with chess pieces on it here and there. The planet is also covered by another circular shape like the rainbow but instead, it's made of red energy. The emblem has many colours which changes regularly but the red energy on it never changes colour and stays the same.

Nazar saw the mask on her face, which had a similar design as her emblem on the chest.

Nobody could see her face, but both Nazar and Lucifer could tell who it was.

The flowing purple hair was another giveaway.

“That bitch,” Nazar gritted his teeth.

“Her...” Lucifer started to look alarmed.

“”

She spoke cheerfully.

“”

The Dragon was still inside the cube and was in pain, but he fought against the pain and looked at the Queen of Virrasil.

“” the Dragon replied painfully.

The Dragon and the Queen spoke in a language that was incomprehensible to anyone.

However, Nazar recognised the language.

Decipher. Decipher. DECIPHER!

The language he was using was extremely complex, which is why it took him so long to decipher his message.

But now he wants to know what he is saying. He won’t wait years for it.

“”

Damn it!

He tried to calculate the language and decipher it, but it was very dense. Too dense to decipher very quickly.

I want answers as to who she is, right?

Nazar nodded.

I am not asking for anyone’s help. I will fill in the clues myself.

Uneasily, he glanced around him.

I just need to find a way to decipher it but I can only think of one...

Nazar gulped.

If I used that power… I cannot use mathematics with that power. I have never used it before - except for when I reached that pathetic state of existence...

He bit on his lip angrily as he thought.

Blood spurt from his finger into his mouth.

I have never used it before. I have used a weaker version of it but never the real deal… I can't control this power with just my mind, it’s too unpredictable… DAMN IT! But I want to know what they are saying no matter what. So, what--

He felt a hand on his right shoulder.

Glancing right, he saw the side profile of his best friend.

“So, who is she?” Eddie asked him casually.

Eddie was scared of the pressure he was feeling from this new enemy, but then he shook his head and thought; What’s the point of being scared of something if I don’t understand it?

No, I can do this. It cannot be that hard, right? If its wishing, then I need to be thoughtless and only think about one thing--

Nazar fell to the ground suddenly.

Eddie widened his eyes and crouched next to him.

“Hey, what’s wrong with you?!”

Eddie’s worried words never reached Nazar.

Inside his mind, Nazar was reliving the moments in which she had her ways with him.

Thanks to the energy within Laura, he got over it, but seeing those memories pop up caused him tremendous amounts of pain.

All this time, he thought he had gotten over those incidents, but clearly, he was wrong.

He tried his best to ignore those days, he really did, but some things can never be forgotten, even if centuries pass.

For a while, Nazar wanted to pretend it would come to pass if he stopped thinking about it. He thought he wouldn't be haunted by it if he focused on something else in life.

However, it can never be that simple. There is no easy way out of something like this.

“Hero ♡.”

“I love you ♡.”

“Hey, lover ♡, want to join me?”

Her words pierced his mind like needles.

To be more precise, those words were weaponised, so it attacked his brain physically too.

Blood started to stream down from his eyes and ears.

Eddie gasped as he stood up.

Looking down at Nazar, he held his palm at it.

“Rune Magic…”

Glowing rune symbols circled around Eddie.

“「Life of Yggdrasil: Extend Life」!”

「Extend Life」 is a magical spell which Eddie has learned recently. It taps into Eddie’s immortal life span and transfers it into someone else, healing them.

With a few words, glowing rune symbols also appeared around Nazar and started healing him.

Ignoring Eddie and Nazar, the Queen continued her conversation with the Dragon, “”

She giggled.

“”

The Dragon did not reply to her.

He did his best to ignore the pain he was in.

“”

The Dragon glanced at Nazar.

His eyes went wide.

“『Is that…?』”

“” she nodded happily. “”

Eddie was healing Nazar.

Everything was going perfectly fine.

But!

“Urk!”

Nazar’s eyes widened as he felt the tip of a blade penetrate him from the back.

WHAT THE...

Nazar coughed blood as he looked down.

A bloody blade was coming out of his chest.

Moving his hand, he touched the tip of the blade, which caused more pain than before.

It is as if my very existence is being destroyed at a molecular level.

Despite the pain, great confusion danced on his face.

There has never been a weapon that has hurt him like this before.

His very existence was being shredded apart, he could feel pain like no other.

“What the…?”

Eddie looked to his left and saw a dark-skinned woman with yellow energy.

“What did you do?”

She, too, was confused about this situation.

She was glancing down with a confused look at the golden glowing sword.

He looked back down at Nazar and said,

“「Life of Yggdrasil: Extend Life」「Life of Yggdrasil: Extend Life」「Life of Yggdrasil: Extend Life」「Life of Yggdrasil: Extend Life」「Life of Yggdrasil: Extend Life」「Life of Yggdrasil: Extend Life」「Life of Yggdrasil: Extend Life」”

He applied the same spell to Nazar many times over, but the problem did not change.

The wound was not healed. The blood streaming down him did not stop either.

“Hey, hey, HEY! WHAT IS--”

He swallowed his saliva as he jerked his head up and looked around frantically.

Seeing the woman, he gulped in fear.

Eddie turned away from him and helplessly looked at Lucifer.

Lucifer, however, wasn’t paying attention to that. He was trying to fix what was happening to this world.

The Dragon’s attack on the Ultraverse was simple since he just destroyed a bit of it, but the changes currently being made to earth was too confusing for Lucifer.

New problems appear every moment, mixing with the old one, in which case Lucifer needs to start all over again.

With complicated emotions rising, Eddie came to one conclusion.

"H-hold one for a sec."

He wanted to remove the sword from Nazar’s chest, but...

“Don’t!”

Nazar threw Eddie’s hand away.

“Don’t touch it. I can take this.”

“Wai--”

“Please, E--,” he trailed off because he wanted to avoid revealing his name. “Norse God.”

Eddie clicked his tongue in displeasure.

But he nodded and took a step back.

“Sure.”

After taking in a deep breath, which caused Nazar a lot of pain, he forced himself to stand up with the sword still intact.

He stood up painfully and turned around, facing the woman who was covered with a yellow glow.

She smiled stiffly as she gulped.

“Why?”

“I… I was told to hit you with that but I didn’t know what… Uh...”

Nazar clenched his fist.

“Y-you...” streams of sweat came pouring down on Ebo’s face, “You wouldn’t hit a woman, right?”

“Why wouldn’t I?” his voice was cold and evil. “Does that make you special in a way? Nobody is special. Not me, nor you. Not him, nor her. Nobody.”

With stiff movement, Ebo took a step back.

She threw her hands into the air, surrendering.

But Nazar ignored her.

She did her best to create a shield of energy at the last moment but...

“Pleas-- Ugh?!”

Noticing that, Eddie threw his hand towards Nazar, trying to stop him.

“Wa--” Eddie’s sound stopped because of how fast Nazar was moving. He, too, was frozen.

Nazar ignored him.

“You don’t get to hurt me and expect special treatment. Only two or three people get that. You are not one of them.”

With his right leg, he kicked her left knee, breaking it.

She had no time to scream in pain. Nazar was moving too fast.

So, he continued to kick her sides with her left leg.

The kick to the sides caused her back to break and she slowly started to fall.

Before she could fall, he held her by the neck.

There was a lot of pain in his body, but he ignored that and swung his arm back, pulling her in. Then he twisted his body to the left a little, swung down the arm which was holding her by the neck, and slammed the person into the diamond floor. He had manipulated the sand on a molecular level and changed it into something hard.

Blood spurted from her broken face, but she could not react in any way due to her low speed.

Nazar picked her up again.

He let her go and she was still floating in the air.

With his hands freed, Nazar punched her in the face with his left hand.

His right hand swung a blow upwards, directing at Ebo’s jaw, breaking it into pieces.

Twisting his body to the right, with the back of his left elbow, he slammed it into her shoulder, breaking that.

He twisted his lower body in 360 degrees and used the momentum to throw a right kick at her chest, breaking her ribs and throwing her away.

While she could not react in any way, her body was flying at an extremely fast speed, flying through a building and then through a mountain, decimating it to pieces.

In less than a second, her body was thrown out of the planet and was floating almost lifelessly in the dark space near the moon.

Nazar slowed down.

“--it!”

Eddie managed to finish his word.

Eddie glanced around worriedly and did not see Ebo Kojo.

“What did you…?”

Nazar felt bad for ignoring Eddie, but it is important.

For two reasons; he doesn’t want Eddie to be associated with Nazar considering how bad his image is and because he is worried about the sword in his chest.

She missed my heart by just an inch… No, to be more specific, it’s by 3 centimetres. I survived but...

Nazar glanced at the sword.

His senses were dulling, his hands were shaking.

I guess there is no other choice.

His hands extended like rubber and gripped the sword in his back.

Just by touching it, he felt like his hands would vanish forever. And it will render his arms useless for an eternity.

I must do it.

He pushed strength into his hands and pulled out the sword while screaming in pain.

THIS NEEDS TO END.

Dropping the sword, he glanced at his friend.

His friend has been using his mind for his power and not numbers, so it’s time for him to adapt to that method, even if it's for a brief moment.

“Please… Please stay back. I… Go save her. You don’t want to see this.”

Eddie bit his lip in anger.

But a human was about to die out there, so he blasted away from the island and went towards space.

Now then...

“Oh my, that was glorious, lover ♡.”

“Shut it, you pathetic excuse for a life.”

“Oooh, that cold voice is getting me worked up in places,” although he couldn’t see her face, he knew she had a predatory smile on her face. “Want to come to my bedroom?”

Nazar bit his tongue to suppress his anger.

You won’t make me react hastily. No, I am done. I will do things at my own pace. So!

He sucked in a breath.

Seal power.

He reduced most of his power to reduce unnecessary damage to his surroundings. If he did not seal that infinite power, the consequences of it will be too severe and the damage will be unrepairable.

Once the power was sealed, Nazar relaxed his shoulders.

He stopped thinking. If he does not stop thinking, the power will run wild and could potentially make great changes to his surroundings, most of which can be harmful.

"Activating..."

With the gears of reality grinding, the mightiest ability in creation was activated.

Ripples were sent through creation.

Everything will obey the master of all. The Supreme God of everything.

“「Absolute Wish」.”

His voice was low, but she could hear it, which caused her body to freeze.

Around Nazar, a white glow of energy appeared.

His eyes glowed white, whiter than anything else in the world.

His hair glowed brightly with white energy.

“Ohhhh, is this it?!” the Queen of Virrasil shouted in excitement.

The Queen looked at the Dragon.

“”

Understand.

Nazar wished for one thing.

And so, he understood what they said.

“...truly paid off.”

Nazar could speak their language now.

He understood what she said.

More questions appeared in his head, but he ignored it for now.

If he has questions, he will find it himself.

So!

Nazar glanced at the Dragon inside the cube. His pain was worsening.

“「BLACK UNIVERSE」!”

He spoke two words.

And just like that, a huge explosion appeared inside the cube before it turned pitch black.

The man known as Alek no longer existed.

The Dragon was gone too, nowhere to be seen in this universe.

Who is she?

He wished to know her.

And the answer came to him.

His eyes widened.

Impossible!

He forcefully shook his head, trying to shake away those feelings.

But it all makes sense… Why did I not realise it before? Why I reacted to that voice…

If he turns off his emotions now, he might never get them back. Perhaps not even Aarin will be able to help.

Ahhh. Damn it!

As energy leaked from every part of his body, sending ripples across the creation, many beings noticed his presence.

They knew one thing.

The mightiest ability in creation has been activated.

Lucifer ignored that and focused on the planet.

Emily’s body started to shake without her control. She felt fear because of her standing as the God of Destruction, opposite of Nazar, who is the great creator.

Arael looked at Esme with starry eyes, begging her to let him go to Earth so he could see it from a closer angle.

The Supreme One descended from his own dimension onto the lower plane of existence.

Null noticed it too. The last thing he wanted to do was be in the presence of this ability, so he pulled himself out of the Ultraverse for a moment.

Arosus narrowed his red flaring eyes, as a thin smile spread across his face, “Oya? After so long… This is a sight to behold.”

Somewhen and somewhere else:

“So, you are saying they are related?”

The Supreme One asked Nazar who was sitting opposite him in the living room of Nazar’s family house.

Emma was standing between them, glancing at both of them with a confused look on her face.

“Yes, they spoke the same language.”

Nazar snapped his finger.

In front of them, a clear image of the island and their battle appeared.

They listened to the very short conversation between the Queen and the Dragon.

“I cannot understand them,” the Supreme One spoke, almost sounding defeated.

Throughout his long life, he always considered himself above everyone else, but right now, he could not even decipher an ancient language.

Nazar’s eyes lit up with white energy.

“She referred to him as “my old subject”.”

While the Supreme One listened, Nazar explained.

“Furthermore, she told him she is glad she didn’t kill him as a child.”

“I see… But knowing of their connection, does it really change anything?”

Nazar leaned back on the sofa and thought as he bit on his finger.

“They… These people from Virrasil have an interesting ability.”

“And that is?”

Nazar narrowed his eyes.

“Do you know how my powers work?”

The Supreme One did not hesitate to answer his question, “Whatever you wish for, becomes real. Be it power or world. Be it a state of existence or people. It needs no conditions to be activated.”

Nazar was slightly displeased that the Supreme One was spot on with his description.

“They have an ability… An ability that...”

Nazar paused for a moment and sucked in a breath.

“Copy.”

“...”

The Supreme One stared at him quietly.

“What do you mean?”

“Leaving that aside,” Nazar changed the subject, “do you know of a place called 「The World」?”

The Supreme One shook his head.

“Is that so…?” Nazar sounded disappointed. “I should have wished for it before...”

Nazar sighed heavily.

“Well, I might learn it differently. Maybe when I get more control over my ability.”

The Supreme One did not understand, but he ignored him and continued speaking about something else.
