Chapter 126.2
First World, the Final - Day Part 2
October 31st, 2019 - The First Timeline:
It was morning and Nazar returned to his new home, which was a few miles away from his old one where he left Emily. He had gone somewhere with Laura since it was her birthday.
“I am hungry. I am going to go--”
Nazar trailed off.
He heard someone else’s voice in the house.
He immediately opened the door and rushed downstairs.
He opened the door of the living room and saw...
“Emily?” he shouted out with wide eyes.
Emily was talking to Emma.
It looked like they have been talking for a while now.
“Wh-what are--”
“Hi, Nazar. Why did you lie to me?” Emily said with thin eyes full of anger.
“What...?”
Solace? If you can hear me, tell me, how did--
Nazar searched around for Solace but he couldn’t feel her presence.
Did she kill her…? But how? That’s impossible? I should have felt-- Argh, I shouldn’t have been naive and left her alone. DAMN IT!
“What’s wrong Nazar?” Emma said.
Nazar looked at Emma and then Emily.
He analysed Emily again.
But everything was the same.
“How did you find this place?”
“I... I don’t know.”
Now that Emily thought about...
“How did I get here?”
She was not so sure herself.
She looked at Emma.
“When did I get here? And how?”
Emma had no idea what was going on but she answered her question anyway.
“You rang the bell about 10 minutes ago. When I first saw you, I thought you were some shapeshifter. Haha. But I don’t think that’s possible.”
She laughed bitterly.
Emily ignored that and looked at Nazar.
“So, why did you lie to me?”

Emily asked in a serious manner, but Nazar clicked his tongue in return.
Alright, I shouldn’t lie here now.
“Because I don’t trust you. I can’t trust anyone when that bastard is involved.”
“Ah?”
She looked surprised and hurt.
“Tch. I can’t trust you when he is involved. I don’t have... You see, he killed me a few million times. And killed you. And you expect me to believe that he just brought you back without a price?”
“Well, how am I supposed to know that?!”
Emily was angry.
For a brief moment, he thought maybe he should have been truthful to her from the beginning.
But at the same time, what is happening to her? Why does she not remember how she got here?
His train of thoughts derailed as he heard a voice behind him.
“Is-is t-that...?”
It belonged to Laura who just came downstairs.
Seeing the horror in her eyes, Nazar gulped.
“What’s wrong...”
He followed her trail of eyes and noticed blood in the kitchen.
Huh…?
Dumbfounded, he looked closely.
In the red pool of blood, he saw red hair.
Her heartbeat is gone?
In this house, there lives someone else with him and Emma; Aria, their cousin.
But now, she was dead.
Nazar looked at Emily (?) slowly who was looking down. Her face was ripped apart with a thin smile like a demon.
Nazar was at a loss.
His worst fear had come reality, but why was he so naive? Why did he not place proper precautions in place?
Emily raised her head and laughed.
“Hehehehehehe...”
Nazar felt a chill down his spine.
“I am back!”
It came from Emily’s mouth but it did not sound like her at all.
It sounded like...
“It’s me, your God♫”

Nazar gulped.
“I am back!”
She (?) sounded like she was singing.
And then Nazar felt something.
Nazar felt her (?) energies increase.
It kept on increasing.
“Ah!”
“Hehehehehehe... Did you miss me?”
Her (?) blue eyes turned red.
Her blond hair turned into black.
“You thought you could keep your loved ones safe from me?”
All of a sudden, Emma fell to the ground.
Nazar could no longer feel her life force.
In other words… She was DEAD!
He froze in his place.
“Huh…?”
He could not believe what he was seeing.
“Hey, you-- You aren’t dead, right?”
He chuckled bitterly as he entered a stage of denial.
"Oi, Emma... Pl--Please open--"
“You thought you could keep your world safe from me?”
Behind Nazar, Laura fell to the ground too.
Nazar did not even want to look back to confirm it.
“Wait...”
“You thought you could keep your universe safe from me?”
Nazar couldn’t even move.
The Nameless One killed him many times, so he started to fear him greatly, he even started to get scared of his own face.
Over a short period of time, he overcame his fear.
But now, it was back.
He couldn’t move because of fear.
“Hehehehehehe...”
He saw how Emily’s (?) energy increased even more.
“Hehehehehehe...”
Snap!
Emily (?) snapped her fingers.
Nazar saw a bright white light coming towards him.
And then--
And then--
And then --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fateless: The Silver Lining
It has been ten years of peace for the Union since the end of the great war with the eastern barbarian tribes, yet in the cold north of the Union's land, a new threat is looming. This time, an ambitious Lord is seeking to restore the yore pride of his kin, forcing the weakened Union into yet another unwanted war, as he ramps up the ranks of his army with thieves, murderers and mercenaries.* * *The temperature inside the forge was nearly twice as high as the one outside. A black-haired girl hammered a steel ingot into the shape of a blade. The heat of the steam was draining her stamina away, but her focus remained sharp as her sweat streamed down her face. Hit after hit, for hours, the sound of the hammering steel followed the rhythm of her breathing. Exhausted, she placed the blade into the water and wiped the sweat off her face using a drenched rag. Why are they screaming? Vatra dipped the rag back in the water, twisted it, and approached the window. Her mouth opened as her world shattered again into the living nightmare she had wilfully tried to forget. She bit her lips; it wasn’t a dream. The pulse of her heart rose. A cold sweat prickled her back. A mother was running, and a child was screaming. A torrent of smoke was emerging from the roof of her neighbour. Vatra’s eyes blinked. The mother lay on the ground, a spear through her back. A torch circled in the air and landed on the roof of her workshop. In the distance, a man wearing a banner well known to the world… Fateless is a philosophical medieval dark low fantasy centered on war, militaristic campaigns and geopolitical conflicts between multiple empires. This story follows the fate of Vatra, a former slave from the eastern Nar Empire who was raised in a culture far away from her own, forced into warfare against her will, and the fate of Lanaya, an ambitious half-angel exiled from her home whose existence is seen as heresy. As they wished for peace, both chose a path opposed to one another until their fate crossed. In this story where war dictates the law, love strikes them as a poisoned balm to which they grasp for with all their might, as it is in the darkest of times that the smallest flames may burn the brightest. * * * Tome 1 already completed and available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/Fateless-Silver-Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot/dp/B09LGSH1KK Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot-100547579135891/ I will publish 1 chapter per week (sometimes 2 if the chapters are too short for my liking).
