Chapter 121
Arc 14 - Absolute Wish - Part 5
“Hi,” Nazar went to the back of the house and near the pool, he sat next to his brother. “So… Uh… You wanted to talk to me?”
Aeron, in his usual angry look, faced Nazar in reflex.
“That was DAYS ago!” he said loudly.
Nazar smiled stiffly.
“Sorry...”
Aeron let out a heavy sigh and there was silence between the two of them for a short while.
“What you did to mom… That was not right.”
With a distant look in his eyes, Nazar nodded, “Yeah.”
“Then why go through with it?”
He looked down.
“I… Sorry.”
“I am not saying, I need you to apologize to me, I just hope you think about it before you do something. I don’t care what you do with aliens, but at least do it with mom. You can’t just dump all of this on her.”
Nazar could not say anything but keep quiet.
“We already talked about it in the old world but I will say it over and over again if I have to.”
Aeron narrowed his eyes and continued to speak in a stern tone.
“Mom was under the control of the demon. She tried to fight back against his control. She would tell me all of this when once in a while the demon would let her free. He did it so he could taunt me.”
“I know that. But the way I see it, there was something good for her in it too,” Nazar removed the guilt from his eyes and spoke in a serious tone. “Or am I wrong to think like that?”
“What do you mean?”
“Don’t you think she would want to talk to the child she was forced to hurt? Don’t you think she would be happy that I no longer have to fear her and keep my distance?”
“Hmm.”
To Aeron, what he was saying, was not wrong.
Although Solace was posing as Nazar, there was still a huge distance between her and their parents. And when Nazar would return to Earth, the distance would only increase.
His parents talked a lot about how distant Nazar was from the rest of them and they wanted it to be different.
“But avoid doing something like that in the future. You seem like an obnoxious moronic child who only cares for his own emotions while ignoring the emotions of everyone else.”
“Yeah, I kind of noticed,” Nazar breathed a small sigh. “I am trying.”
“Hm,” Aeron looked away.
Silence overwhelmed the atmosphere once more.
“Wow, our conversations are as dry as a wood,” Aeron spoke with a stiff smile.
“Yeah… we need to find a middle ground, huh?”
“Hmm.”
“What do you do in your free time?”
Aeron leaned back in his chair and looked up to the blue sky.
“Read.”
“Novels?”
He shook his head.
“Published theories and academic works of experts.”
“Oh, makes sense. I have read all of them too.”
Nazar leaned forward in his chair.
“Do you want Einstein’s original papers?”
Aeron looked Nazar in the eyes.
He was serious.
“What?”
“And I don’t mean the online copies or reprinted ones… The real thing. The original paper and notes he wrote.”
Aeron stared at Nazar in disbelief.
“A few years ago, in an underground auction, I bought it for fifty million. There is a huge price on these original papers.”

“FIFTY MILLION?!?!” Aeron frantically stood up.
In return, Nazar nodded with an accomplished smile.
“I also have got a few original papers of other scientists throughout history.”
Nazar smiled thinly.
“Newton’s too.”
Aeron’s eyes widened.
“No way... That's impossible?”
“Eh, not really. Especially with the demon around. He kept them safe. Anyway, I also got every letter he sent and his personal journal.”
Aeron sat back down, not knowing how to take this.
“How rich are you?”
“That’s what you pick up from this conversation so far?!” Nazar blurted out aggressively.
Aeron rolled his eyes.
“My personal wealth is around a few hundred trillion.”
Aeron choked on his saliva and started coughing.
“Are you okay?”
Nazar swiped his hand across the small table and a glass of water appeared.
Aeron picked up the glass and drank from it immediately.
After a few short moments, Aeron took a deep breath.
“Who did you steal it from?”
“Uhhhhhhh,” Nazar stared at him blankly.
Who would accuse their brother of stealing money?! Nazar thought to himself.
“I own over a million casinos across the universe. And around 5 on Earth. I have connections with the underworld across the universe,” Nazar said casually. “There is a lot of money in that.”
Aeron could not believe what Nazar was saying.
There was also a sense of disappointment in his eyes. He was not sure how else to react to hearing that his brother is involved in criminal activities.
“I have sold most of my weapons and robotic models for billions. And since I was the one who invented nanotechnology, I earn billions from that each year t-- Ah.”
Nazar remembered something which happened not too long ago, so he stopped talking about inventing nanotechnology, so Aeron treated it as if he misheard Nazar.
No way in hell he invented nanotechnology, Aeron thought.
“Someone offered me two thousand trillion so they can buy Solace and her schematics. Of course, she is worth more than that.”
Nazar was reminded once again that Solace is missing. He has been searching for her a lot last night but did not find her anywhere.
She is powerful, so she should be fine…
That was his excuse.
He thought it would be alright.
But deep down in his chest, he felt pain and doubt. He doesn't want anything bad to happen to her.
He shook his head and put that aside for now.
“What a moron. I had to kill him for such a low offer.”
The stunned Aeron slumped over the table.
“You… Don’t tell mom about you being a criminal, okay?”
“I am not a criminal, though?”
Aeron glanced up and seeing the aloof look on his face, he let out a heavy sigh.
“It is true, I am part of huge underworld organisations across the planet, but-- Oh. Actually, yeah. That’s true. I am a criminal.”
Aeron banged his head on the table.
“God, I want to kill you so badly.”
Nazar shrugged.
“You can kill me.”
Aeron raised his head immediately.
“Uh?”
Nazar clasped his hands together.
“Inside a game that is.”
Separating his palms, Aeron heard chirping noise.
“I am not going to bother guessing, because it will be wrong… So, what are you doing now?”
“Developing a game.”
Aeron blinked a few times in confusion.
လလလ
“That was fast,” Aeron looked impressed.
Right now, Nazar and Aeron were sitting in their living room and playing a game in front of a large TV screen.

“I have never played games before, so this is… interesting.”
Aeron glanced down at the holographic controls.
“Are all game graphics this good?”
Nazar shook his head.
“Not on Earth, no. But on some planets, it’s rather normal.”
“I see.”
They were playing a fighting game. One of the characters resembled Nazar and the other resembled Aeron. Of course, the game version had superpowers.
Seeing himself inside the game, Aeron felt uncomfortable.
“Um… Can you change the design a little?”
Nazar was not sure why, but he agreed.
“Sure,” his eyes lit up for a moment.
The character’s design changed into Eddie.
For a moment, Nazar wanted to change it into Solace but he did not want to think about her at this moment.
“This is the longest conversation we had in many years.”
Nazar felt a little happy about that.
“Yeah,” Aeron nodded. “We barely talked here or in the first world.”
“Haha, yeah--”
Nazar’s eyes widened.
With a serious look, he turned around and faced Aeron.
“First world?!” Nazar sounded very worried.
“Yeah...” Aeron looked down with guilt in his eyes. “I remembered the old worlds since I had your brain. All of them.”
“For how long...?”
“Since I got my old memories back. It was the first world but then slowly, more worlds appeared.”
Nazar looked at the screen once again.
“Do you want those memories removed? A lot of them are quite painful, no?”
Aeron shook his head.
“No, I am okay with them.”
“I see… You should have told me earlier.”
“I should have. But...” Aeron looked with complicated feelings.
“I get it.”
“You do?” Aeron was surprised.
“Mm-hmm,” he nodded without looking back at Aeron. “You are quite similar to Eddie.”
Aeron was not sure what Nazar was talking about, but he was interested in what he meant. So, he listened with curious ears.
“I hate to say this but… there is envy within both of you when it comes to me. I have everything. Everything has been spoon-fed to me, whether it is power or knowledge.”
Nazar smiled bitterly as he lowered his head.
“I haven’t had to work for anything. It all just came to me. And not just that. People too. I have this uncanny yet unfortunate ability that attracts people to me. Friends and allies…”
Aeron looked back at the screen.
Nazar was telling the truth. Aeron is envious of him.
However, that’s not all.
He also dislikes Nazar for acting the way he does. Always considers himself the victim and is quite selfish. Anyone would have been bathing in glory with all that power but Nazar does the opposite and whines about it.
That angers him a little.
He also hates how Nazar is given a free pass for all the wrongs he has done.
Putting that aside, Aeron forced a smile on his face.
“Anyway, how do you play this game?”
Nazar raised his head.
“You still haven’t figured that out?”
Aeron shook his head.
“Okay,” the holographic controller turned into a holographic keyboard. “Use ‘A, D’ to move around. ‘Q, P, O, I, U’ are for attacking. Use ‘S and W’ together with the attack keys and use it for combos.”
“Ohh...”
He was still not sure, but he decided to try it out and hope for the best.
Ignoring the movement keys, he focused solely on the attack keys.
“Uhhhh?”
Nazar turned around and looked at him with mixed feelings of both surprise, annoyance and remorse.
But at the same time, he was felt a little happy. So, he smirked.
Nazar looked at the screen once more which caused his happy feelings to go away.
“Why did I lose?”
Aeron shrugged with a smug smile on his face.
“Ugh,” he groaned. “Button mashing did the work?! How?”
“Heh.”
“Fine, let’s go for anoth--”
“Nazar!”
The door of the room opened quickly and a frantic Emma entered.
“Hav-- Have you seen this?”
Seeing the horrified look on her face, Nazar’s heart skipped a beat in worry.
“This…”
Emma tossed her phone at Nazar, which he caught very quickly with his hand.
The moment he laid his eyes on the phone, his eyes widened.
“Alek?”
Nazar did not look up but he could feel the surprise and confusion on the faces of his siblings.
“He is a major player in the underworld. Anyone with even the smallest connections knows him. He is… They call him Alek, the Demon.”
Emma thought he knew him because of his power, but she was wrong.
“So, he has taken the whole island hostage and if I don’t go in a minute, he will kill one person. After the passing of one hour, he will kill another. Good strategy...”
Nazar tossed the phone back to Emma.
“But--”
“You are not going to go?”
Nazar averted his gaze.
What is in it for me? He wanted to say that out loud but kept it hidden deep down.
Instead, he squinted his eyes in pain.
Images of mortals being squashed like bugs flashed through his mind.
Dad...
His father was killed of natural death, but he was also a mortal. A mortal whom he couldn’t save.
Damn it!

Bradley Isle:
Since Monday, the island has been under the complete control of the No Names.
A terrorist organisation that excels in assassination and organised crimes across the world.
It was founded in 2005 by an unknown person who used the organisation to decimate a small city in the north of Bangladesh.
The culprit behind the attack was not known to the world. The No Names manipulated the information and blamed the attack on India.
Bangladesh and India went to war soon after.
The war ended quickly but with the crushing defeat of Bangladesh.
Then out of nowhere, the No Names came out and took the responsibility for the attack and causing the near fall of Bangladesh. They wanted to show off their might and how easy it is for them to cause chaos.
Through the years, they carried out similar attacks which caused friction between many nations.
Soon after, the No Names became the leaders of the underworld.
Today, they are hired by an unknown person to lure Nazar into this island.
Unlike usual, they have been given gear that is almost alien to them. They have never seen such armours and weapons before.
“The time is up,” Alek held a handgun at the head of a girl. “Babe, I guess you are the first today.”
“N-no puh--please do--” she pleaded for her life, but Alek just punched her in the face with his left hand. “Agh!”
“The hero did not show up.”
Alek then kicked her in the head, causing her to fall down.
“Nothing personal, kid. It’s business,” his tone did not match his kind words.
He gestured to the soldier next to him with his eyes.
“Yes, sir!”
The soldier rushed next to the girl and forced her to sit back up.
“Ple--- I- I don-- Please. I beg you.”
“Now stop crying, it’s making my heart ache, girlie,” Alek laughed.
He locked the gun, which looked no different than a handgun but instead of a bullet, it shot out concentrated heat that burnt everything in its path.
“Actually, please cry more. It’s a turn on, haha.”
His hand was on the trigger.
He was about to pull the trigger.
The girl’s brain will be splattered across the ground in less than a second.
BOOOOOM!!!
Above them, a deafening sound rang out.
“Gah?!” Alek screamed in pain as he took a few steps back.
The pain was too much, so he raised his left hand and covered his ear.
However, his right hand had accidentally pulled the trigger and the bullet left the gun.
BANG!
The girl was about to die, so she closed her eyes shut.
She had accepted her death with trembling lips.
But!
Electricity sizzled around the bullet, causing it to stop. The bullet just stopped before it reached the target.
The bullet is made from metal and it’s a good conductor of electricity. Metal has free moving localised electrons, so when a voltage of electricity is applied to the said metal, an electric field within the metal triggers the movement of the electron, making them move from one to another end. The movement of electrons from one to another end of the conductor creates a magnetic field around the metal, which then allows an electromaster to manipulate the movement of the metal freely.
THUD!
But between the bullet and the girl, something fell.
Unable to bear that heavy weight, the ground beneath it shattered and the dust flew everywhere.
“...Huh?”
The girl was alive.
She opened her eyes and gasped for breath.
In front of her, she saw a muscular man with electricity flickering around him, still kneeling from the force of his landing.
Norse God - Edward “Eddie” Hunt - slowly raised his head and looked at the woman.
Although she can only see a blur when she looks at him, she could tell he was smiling.
“It’s okay now,” he voice carried confidence and hope. “I am here now.”
She let out a sigh of relief.
“Ah, so the hero finally shows himself. But not the one we wanted.”
Eddie slowly stood up as the blue sky was replaced by dark angry clouds full of angry roars.
“Why have you taken them hostage? Let them go before--”
“Before you take me to the police?” Alek raised his arms as if he was surrendering. However, his face said otherwise. He was making fun of Norse God. “Wheeee. I am so scared. Mother save… pft… me… HAHA!”
Bursting into laughter, he lowered his arms.
“Cmon now, did you really--”
KRAKABOOM!
This isn’t powerful enough to hurt him badly, but the size of it should scare him, Eddie thought to himself in a calm manner. He doesn’t like to hurt his opponents, but a little scratch shouldn’t be a problem.
CRACK!
Blue lightning slammed into the ground. It looked as if it would vaporise the entire island.
No, it should have. But something else happened.
Eddie widened his eyes.
“The...”
Dozens of armours had appeared around Alek.
As soon as they appeared, they had formed a barrier of green energy around Alek and saved him.
“The Godlsyers?!”
In the original timeline, they had used Eddie and his connection to the interdimensional energy - magic - and used it to create the monstrous armour known as the Godslayers.
Although they were created to battle Nazar, they failed spectacularly against him, but all things considered, it was an amazing achievement for the creators.
For the first time in the history of creation, they managed to access and use magic without paying the price for it.
Lian, who can use magic to extreme degrees without dying is due to her having 「Infinite Life Force」. For the thirty years which she was meant to live, she had infinite life force, which came from the life of the universe itself. The infinitely dark space is the reason why she could use magic on a level never seen before.
Outox Empire also managed to attain 「Infinite Magic」 from similar means, but they used reality - which means, they are using Vilramore's infinite life to power up their spells and technology.*
But humans managed to do it without needing to pay the price in any form.
The reason is simple: no one ever bothered to open a direct doorway to an empty space which contains magic and steal it from there. No, they thought about it, but they failed over and over again for various reasons.
“How…?”
Eddie swallowed his saliva to wet his dry throat.
The bewildered Eddie let out a groan of pain suddenly, “Gah?!”
He lost his footing as a blast of golden energy shot him in the back. But before he fell down, the sand came together and shot itself upwards, hitting Eddie in the chest and helping him to regain his footing.
Looking back, he saw a tall dark-skinned with glowing golden eyes - with no whites - and long silky black hair which also glowed faintly in gold.
On her hands, there were two golden bands.
Eddie can see the flow of energy, so he noticed that the bands were the source of her power.
“Who are--”
Before he could finish, the woman shot herself at him while shouting excitedly, “I WILL BE YOUR OPPONENT!”
လလလ
“What you are telling me… Are you sure?”
Nazar nodded in confidence.
“Hrm,” the Supreme One was not sure how to feel about what he had learned.
Nazar told the Supreme One something about the Dragon, but the Supreme One has doubts.
“How did you come to such a conclusion?”
“Because…”
Nazar breathed in, puffed his cheeks then let out a huge breath.
“Because I met him.”
The Supreme One stared Nazar in the eyes.
He was not sure how to react to that.
How is it that Nazar met him? And why does he not look satisfied? He has been looking for him for years and years, but his reactions show he was not satisfied with their meeting after so long.
“Well, sort of.”
“What do you mean by that? You either meet him or don’t.”
Nazar stared at the Supreme One for a moment before bursting into laughter. Forced laughter.
“Remember last month? When Lucifer and I fought?”
“Ah. I see.”
Nazar nodded.
“That’s why… That’s why I am disappointed. He didn’t wait long enough and now… Oh well.”
Nazar leaned back on the sofa.
“Ah. Thanks for the assist, by the way. The mess could have been even bigger if not for you.”
“Don’t mention it. I am not as heartless as I let on.”
“Ha...ha...” he laughed bitterly.
Emma, who was standing still in a stunned manner, glanced at Nazar and then the Supreme One continuously.
She had no idea what they were talking about. But at the same time, she was very curious, so she listened quietly.
