Chapter 94 - Arc 12 - The God Eater - Part 8

13th of July - Planet Sayora:

In a galaxy far far away, on a beautiful and advanced planet of Sayora, an old man with light pink skin and grey hair, wearing a white gown like priests, smiled.

He was standing on top of a flat floating device.

A few people wearing black gowns were standing behind him.

“”

The old man’s soft yet energetic voice sent roars through the crowd.

“”

The people of Sayora has been looking forward to this for millions of years.

“”

The ceremony was being broadcast across the whole world.

“”

Everyone across the world roared at once.

“”

The priest spread his arms wide.

“”

“” said a singing voice as he appeared behind the priest.

The back of this person was to the sun, so no one could make him out.

Looking back, the priest squinted his eyes as he raised his right arm to cover himself from the light.

“”

“”

Manipulating the light, "God" made it so only the priest could see him.

He saw a light brown-skinned muscular man with white hair and red eyes float above him.

“”

Smiling thinly, the other person said, “”

The sun blew up behind him.

“Arosus,” he said in a cold voice as he narrowed his eyes.

Without moving, something on the planet changed.

The world started to shake.

And so, Arosus smiled widely once more.

“I have come to pay you back for your worship♫.”

As a peal of sinister laughter rang out, the man known as Arosus moved.

In what can only be considered an instant, he stood in front of every person on the planet.

He made everyone experience the worst of the multiverse.

Then he touched them. That touch fated them to eternal despair.

“Enjoy the afterlife♫.”

And so, everyone fell to their death.

Billions of people died in an instant.

“Oh, right...”

Waving his hand, the priest came back to life.

“I will give you a special reward.”

The priest died.

The priest lived.

The priest died.

The priest lived.

He was killed millions of times in an instant.

“Experience the worst of the afterlife♫.”

With a kick to the ground, the planet was reduced to ash.

“Now, my other half...”

He crackled with another burst of sinister laughter.

“Our fated meeting awaits.”

Earth:

Nazar felt a chill through his body.

“Finally.”

He could feel his other half coming.

He was close.

Closer--

“Closer than you think.”

In front of Nazar, a man who looked the same appeared.

“Been a while, Arosus.”

When Nazar reached omnipotence, he accidentally destroyed everything. Using the unlimited power, he brought back everything into existence.

To get rid of the unlimited power, he turned his energies into something else so others can use it as power.

But he still had a lot of power. So, he created a being and put his remaining powers into.

Arosus, the nigh-omnipotent God - standing one step below omnipotence - was that being.

Arosus has all the memories and all the knowledge of the omnipotent Nazar.

“Why have you finally called me, other self?”

“First of all, where have you been? Ten years ago, you said you were going away. Where?”

Arosus smiled as he placed his hand on Nazar’s shoulder.

“Let’s not waste time on the past.”

Nazar slapped his hand away.

“Who is she?”

Tilting his head to the right slightly, Arosus smiled in a confused manner.

“Who?”

“The Queen of Virrasil.”

“Ah, your memory is as good as usual.”

Arosus laughed.

“She is the Queen of Virrasil.”

“Thanks, Sherlock. Now, where is she now? What does she want? And who is she?”

“I am afraid I do not know that, my other self.”

Nazar’s eyes widened.

“............”

(This… Can’t be right.) Nazar thought to himself. (This is Arosus.)

“I know. An anomaly appeared. Something outside of my expertise.”

“Can you---”

“Pay the price.”

Nazar thought about it as he looked down.

“What do you want?”

“Kill the woman known as Laura Marino, the love of yourself.”

Nazar’s eyes widened.

“Erase her from existence.”

“!!!!”

“She is making you too soft and weak. Kill her and I can help you.”

“No.”

Arosus let out a sigh.

“Oh, right. Of course.”

Smiling, he narrowed his eyes.

“Get rid of the Ultimate Nullification barrier then kill her. Make it so she never existed and that not even you can bring her back. How does that sound?”

“I will not--”

“Oh, also do the same to your mother and your brother. I don’t like them. In fact, I hate them.”

“Arosus--”

Clicking his tongue, Arosus cut off Nazar’s sentence.

“Then we are done here, my other self.”

Arosus turned around.

“I had high expectations for this meeting but you disappointed me.”

He looked back over his shoulder with a look of disappointment on his face.

“As usual.”

He let out another heavy sigh.

“I am leaving. If you cannot--”

“Where do you think you are going, second hand?”

Hearing an emotionless and cold voice from behind him, Arosus’s eyes widened.

Turning around, he saw scars on Nazar’s face.

“Y-You...”

The God who is just a step below omnipotence felt fear.

“Been a while, copy.”

Arosus swallowed saliva once he saw the thin smile on Nazar’s face.

“Now, where are you going? Let’s have a chat, copy.”

“S-stop. Wh--Don’t--- Don’t remind me...”

Arosus placed his hand on his face as his eyes widened in horror.

“N… No… Not of that time. Not her--- Please.”

“The most powerful person in existence at the moment is scared of the images of his own mother and father.”

Nazar placed his hand on Arosus’ face.

“You poor little child… I have a counter offer.”

“S-stop.”

Due to their special connection, Nazar projected his earliest memories onto him.

He made Arosus see the time when his parents experimented and tortured him all over again. He made sure that Arosus sees it all again and feel the worst pain.

“Find out who she is or else...”

He brought his face closer to Arosus’ ear and started to whisper.

“Your cute little sister will die. I will make sure you watch as she dies.”

Arosus, when Nazar created him, he did not know the truth about his parents. And at that time, the only living relative of Nazar was Emma and Aria. He only cared about those two.

So, these two are very dear to Arosus.

Even though he has lived for a long time and see many things, Arosus still only cares about them.

“Also, that short cousin of ours. Should I kill them right now.”

Nazar remembered a new detail.

“Oh right!”

Arosus moved back.

“I heard Aria is pregnant. Maybe I should kill her child too, haha.”

Nazar laughed an emotionless laugh as he kept on projecting his worst memories onto Arosus.

“It’s funny how the most powerful being in existence is scared of his own parents. Couldn’t be me.”

Arosus tried to put away those memories.

“Now get me information about her...”

Nazar raised his right hand.

“Or they die.”

“Solace… Wha--What is she doing?”

“Charging a weapon. It will kill them in an instant.”

“No!”

Arosus looked up.

“You can’t Solace. If she dies, it activates a bomb that will definitely kill Emma and Aria.”

“I am a God. I can change it. It won’t happen. No matter what… they will not… ngh... die!!”

“All of you… You are just copies. I am the original. You all took roots from me. God? I am God. I reached that level. Not you or the current one. Me, the original.”

“...”

“Find out who she is and where she is. Got it?”

Arosus thought about it.

“Or else, Emma dies. Understand?”

“Okay.”

Nazar smiled.

“See. It was eas-- Hm?”

Nazar trailed off as he saw Arosus trembling.

“Pfft. Hahahaha.”

Arosus burst into laughter.

“Hahaha. Okay… Hahaha.”

Nazar was not sure why he would laugh.

“Ahh. That was...”

He couldn’t stop his laughter.

“Haha. Oh, man… Haha.”

Nazar thought about why he is laughing. It did not make sense. He did not say anything funny.

“Ahhhhhhh. What a disappointment… After so long you came out, original and that’s the best you could do?”

Arosus stopped laughing but it looked like he would burst into laughter at any moment.

“I guess the current one has been restricting your movements. I got a little excited since you are the only one who can prove challenge… But no, it had to be another disappointment.”

“...”

“And do you really think I care about the life of a few humans? I can create billions of them in an instant. And do you really think I am scared of them?”

(Switch!)

“Sure, I was. I hated them. But I got rid of those parts of me a long time ago.”

Nazar’s form changed as scars disappear.

“The pathetic God who won’t accept his place. What a waste. People would sacrifice everything for that power.”

“What is going on here, Arosus?”

“Oh, just having a little fun here. Heh. I played along, expecting something good… Though I got a little disappointed, I still saw something interesting.”

Arosus stood next to Nazar and wrapped his left arm around Nazar’s shoulder.

With his right hand, he pointed at the stars.

“I know who she is and where she is. But she is of no use to me.”

Nazar’s eyes widened. He thought he had the situation under control, but he was wrong.

"As a thank you for the laugh, I am holding my finger in that direction. That is where she is. If you..." Arosus smiled thinly, “pay the price I ask for, I will give you her exact location. Also, her name, goal, her next move, and more.”

However, Nazar was thinking too much about his failure to even notice where Arosus was pointing at.

(This was a mistake...) Nazar thought. (My final resort...)

“She thinks she can hide from me. It’s quite pathetic if I am being honest. And disappointing.”

Arosus let go off Nazar.

“I am a God. Maybe not the original, but I can destroy thousands of multiverses in an instant. Cause billions of big bangs.”

He held out his hand and in it, a small light appeared.

“Here, a new multiverse.”

Nazar looked at the small light.

He can feel the progress of it. He can see life in it.

“And now...”

Arosus clenched his fist and crushed the light.

Nazar gulped but Arosus merely laughed.

“It’s gone now.”

(I can call him home. I can take away his power and make it mine...)

Nazar clenched his fist.

(But the last thing I need is more power.)

"If you kill them all, I will give you what you want. I am afraid, everything has a price."

Nazar looked down.

(Damn it… This was a mistake. I shouldn't… DAMN ALL OF THIS!!!)

Gritting his teeth, he looked Arosus in his eyes.

"It's an order."

"No."

(Damn it. He is different now. With a phrase like that, I could control him before. What if…?)

"Are you working with her?"

Arosus stared at Nazar blankly.

"Answer me. Are you working with her?"

Not being able to hold it back anymore, he burst into laughter again.

"This has… Man, I do not regret coming here."

Nazar clicked his tongue.

"Dude, if I wanted to hurt you, I would have done it a long time ago. Plus, who do you think I am? I don't need the help of a weak person like her."

(He could be lying but with his arrogance… I don't think it's possible he is working with her.)

"This was fun. But ultimately a waste of time. If you can't pay the price, don't bother again."

"Wait!"

Seeing the desperate look on his face, Arosus smiled thinly.

"Name another price."

"Become the omnipotent God again. And then do all of this yourself."

"...."

Arosus laughed.

"Of course, it's the last thing you will do. So, I am gone."

He flew away, leaving Nazar behind.

In an instant, Arosus had left the multiverse.

"DAMN IT!!!!!!" Nazar roared in anger.

(If only…)

Nazar heard a sonic boom.

Before he could react, someone appeared in front of him and held him up by his neck.

"What the fuck do you think you are doing?"

Seeing the angry look in Emily's eyes, Nazar frowned.

"Calling him here… Are you out of your fucking MIND????"

"...Sorry. But I did not know what else to do. And it ended up being a complete failure."

"No shit fucking Sherlock!!! That's the fucking Arosus. The dude is a God. So what if he is part of you?"

Emily let go of Nazar as she clicked her tongue in anger.

"How fucking mindless can you get, huh? Have a little care about the rest of the universe, you dumb fucking idiot!"

Nazar massaged his neck slowly.

"How--- I swear-- Ugh!!!!"

She took a few deep breaths.

"I know you are desperate, but don't pull something like that again. Everything will work out somehow."

"When has it ever?"

Emily frowned.

"As you said, we are the NPCs of this world. Our decisions are affected by those around us. Nothing works out for us."

"I thought you overcome that part already," she scratched her forehead furiously as she muttered to herself.

"Leaving that aside, I played a gamble. I thought I could figure out something about her and her whereabouts… But as you can see, it ended in failure."

Nazar smiled.

"Plus, the universe is safe. I knew Lucifer would keep it safe."

Emily let out a sigh.

"I asked you to restore time but you didn't. But you called down God who could destroy us without lifting a finger. You are really smart."

"I will do something about time. But I won't ask for his help."

Emily frowned.

"You called down Arosus, who is billion times more dangerous than him. Are you stupid?"

Nazar kept quiet.

Away from them, above the planet on the spaceship, Solace pressed her back against the wall as she slowly sat down on the floor.

“Control it… Control it… Control it…”

Small cracks appeared in her body.

“Even though its less than 0.00000000000000000001% of Arosus’s power...”

When Arosus was on Earth, she used that opportunity to tap into his power.

Even though he was only here for a few seconds, she still managed to find a backdoor to his powers.

“It will take me a while to get used to this power…”

However, the power is too much for her at the moment.

“Nazar must not know about this.”

She closed her eyes as she took control of the power.

If she had gotten any more of Arosus’, she would have blown to pieces.
