Chapter 91 - Arc 12 - The God Eater - Part 5
“Power this, power that. Power this, power that! POWER THIS, POWER THAT!”
Nazar had placed a layer on top of the multiverse. In the place where Earth was supposed to be, was an empty planet created by Nazar in his demon form not too long ago.
“Everyone loves power. Everyone wants power. You want it too, don’t you, beast?”
The odd-looking beast known as the God Eater was standing on the planet.
“Then let me give it to you. Let me give you power. More than anyone else. More than anything else.”
This beast was feeling a fear never felt before.
“Let me show you WHAT TRUE POWER IS, YOU PATHETIC CREATURE!”
Space bent in half as Nazar reduced the distance between them.
Reality was answering his commands.
“LET ME SHOW YOU THE CURSE OF POWER!!”
In the next instant, before the beast could react, Nazar was holding the God Eater by his neck.
“Can you handle it, mindless creature? CAN YOU?!?! CAN ANY OF YOU HANDLE IT?! CAN ANYONE HANDLE THIS CURSE?!”
“Your power is pouring into me...”
The beast put on a smile.
“I win.”
Nazar returned a sinister smile towards the beast, sending unpleasant chills down his body.
“Behold omnipotence.”
Nazar poured all of his powers into the beast.
“You want power, right? HAVE IT ALL!”
Nazar stopped holding back his power. He let out everything he had.
“Yessss!”
The beast growled happily.
“You are so stupid, God.”
Nazar chuckled as he poured more power into the beast.
“Why would you give me the power to destroy multiverses? If you are thinking I will overload, you are severely mistaken? I am a weapon created to reach the same position as you.”
“I am a weapon myself. To be used by others. But!”
Nazar narrowed his eyes as he poured more power into the beast.
“I am going to save you. I will save you from this burden!”
“....?”
The beast felt more and more power. Its powers were increasing significantly.
(Don't think about it. Don't think about it. Don't think about it.)
Nazar kept seeing the face of his father, Rina and many people who died on planet Eir every time he killed this beast.
He tried to not think about it throughout this whole battle but this time, this beast can truly die.
(Don't think about it. Don't think about it. Don't think about it.)
“I know what it’s like to be a weapon. So, I will free you. I promise you...”
Nazar smiled widely at the beast as his powers left him.
“I will save you.”
The beast was not sure what to do. He had gotten the power he wanted but something was off.
“The power… It’s not going into the queen. Did you...”
The beast tried to break free but Nazar did not let him. He poured more and more power into the beast.
“Did you break our connection?”
“Of course. I am saving you.”
“I don’t need… grr… your saving!”
The beast punched Nazar in the face but he did not care.
“I only have a few more seconds left… So, try not to struggle.”
“I said I don-- !!”
The beast noticed cracks appearing in his body.
“You are trying to kill overload me by killing me?”
The beast laughed.
“That will not work. I will-- ??”
“I told you, I will change you. And so I did.”

“I willlll killllllllllllllllllllllllllll youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu----”
BOOM!
As Nazar poured all of his power into the beast, he exploded.
It was part of Nazar’s plan, so he had already placed a protective barrier around them. The damage to the multiverse was zero but the alternative layer above it was destroyed.
With the layer, that other planet was destroyed too.
So, right now, Nazar was floating a few meters above the ocean.
“I hope that… kill--”
Nazar coughed blood.
(If he isn’t dead, then nothing can...)
Nazar’s eyes shut as he started to fall down.
(Was it a mistake…? What if… What if he doesn’t die? What if I doomed every… one...)
Nazar’s mind went completely blank.
Within seconds, he fell down to the deepest parts of the ocean so he did not notice the chaos above.
Above the ocean, a white light appeared.
The beast growled loudly at the blue sky above the Atlantic Ocean.
“To think you survived that...”
Solace and Reaper were floating next to him.
“You are truly the God Eater,” Solace said in a mocking tone.
“Do you think it will work?”
Solace nodded.
“How much? I am not doing this for free.”
"..."
"I only came here because I didn't want this beast to destroy Earth. If he did, Nazar's wrath would have been too much. I was just going to inform you or him {wish I could communicate but I blew up my device and communicating via telepathy seems impossible because of the range} but don't expect me to help you defeat him."
Solace sighed.
“50 million units.”
Reaper thought about it.
“I can work with that.”
Reaper clenched his fist as he shot himself towards the beast.
Before the beast died, he made himself another body.
“Even though my powers are limited, you cannot do anything to me, mortal. I hold more power than you. I will destroy this world.”
“Not even your God could--”
“Now that I am paid, I am different. I am determined. And thus...”
Solace’s shoulders dropped low as she sighed.
“You are very pricey,” Solace muttered under her breath.
The beast shot an energy beam towards Reaper.
“Die, mortal! I need you-- Hrm?”
Reaper deflected the energy blast with his right hand.
“You see, I have absorbed more energy than I can hold, so I will give it to you instead.”
He flew close to him very fast and touched him.
Pouring his power into the beast, Reaper looked back at Solace.
“I am ready.”
“Perfect!”
A dark square energy barrier covered all three of them.
“Wh-what is…?”
The beast looked around with fear and confusion in his eyes.
Solace did not say anything, nor did Reaper.
“What are… grr… doing to… ugh… to me?!”
The dark square around them unleashed energies into the beast.
“What is… What is happening to meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?”
(The beast only stole Nazar's power. He was not made to contain other energies for long. Perhaps it's a personal preference of the beast but he got rid of other powers rather immediately.) Solace thought to herself. (Whatever the case is, Nazar changed him. Besides Nazar's energy, everything else is like a poison to him. He couldn't change its primal feature but this will do.)
Solace and Reaper were pouring everything they had into the beast.
(Before it dies, it goes back through time. It’s existence reverse to 0. But it retains its power and intelligence.)
The beast cried out in pain.
(So, Nazar removed that. This thing will die as soon as it is killed. It won’t go back to 0. So, this beast created another body to counter that. A defective body, but still a shell of flesh that lets him survive.)

She smiled thinly.
(But of course, Nazar planned for that. So, he helped in making this body for him. The beast did not realise it, but it was playing on Nazar’s palm.)
When the other Nazar- Nazar #2 - took the back seat, he helped come up with this plan.
(Nazar made sure the new body is weaker than before and every other form of energy is like poison to him. And he gave this beast a mind of its own.)
“Nooooooooooooooooo! I… I don’t want to die. Please.”
(And emotions.)
“Please save me...”
(The beast did not have emotions, but stealing Reaper's and Nazar's powers, he also stole some of their emotions. So, Nazar forced emotions onto him. He had emotions of his own now. And Nazar made sure he will those emotions in the new body too.)
The beast looked around frantically in pain.
“GOD!!! SAVE ME!”
(He wanted to save you. And so he did.)
“GOD!! YOU PROMISED… SAVE ME!”
Solace licked her lips as a thin smile ripped her face in half.
“This is your salvation,” Solace said as she laughed sinisterly. “We are saving you, poor beast. This is your salvation.”
“I DON’T WANT TO DIEEEE! GOD! PLEASE-- YOU PROMISED!”
Solace’s hair grew longer and longer as a thin smile appeared on her face.
“Your salvation is coming. We will save you,” she said with a thin smile as her hair slithered like snakes around her.
She slowly moved towards the beast with red glowing eyes.
“Die!”
Even the assassin Reaper shuddered at the sight of Solace.
“Please… I beg you… Save me-- Urk!”
Clenching her fist, Solace punched the beast in the chest
Her hair slithered like snakes and stabbed the beast all over.
Through the hair that stabbed into his body, she poured a new form of energy into God Eater.
The beast exploded into small pieces immediately and vanished forever.
“Ahhhh. That was fun,” Solace said as she smiled widely.
The dark square vanished into thin air.
Solace licked the blood off her hand.
“I wish the beast would come back one day. It was really fun.”
“What if Nazar wanted to save him?”
Solace laughed.
“We share the same mind. I know what he is thinking and what he wants to do. Do you think I carry out most of these tasks by myself? Nah, I just do what he wants me to do.”
Solace ran her fingers through her hair and tied it back.
“I do keep some secrets from him but that is because it's one of my features. Yeah, he is weird.”
“So…?”
“Yes, this is what he wanted.”
Reaper was not sure what to say about that, so he asked another question.
“We poured quantum energies, magic, psychic and other forms of energy but…”
Reaper narrowed his eyes.
“What was that energy at the end? I couldn’t recognise it?”
“Emily’s. It’s the most anti-Nazar energy you can find. It can hurt even him. So, add that to a crap ton of other energies, the beast did not stand a chance.”
“Emily…?” Reaper said slowly.
Reaper, of course, have never met her.
“She does not know, but I have been tapping into her powers☆,” Solace said with a malicious smile.
Reaper sighed as he scratched the back of his head.
“Some of these things are far above me.”
He flew away.
“I guess so.”
She started to stretch her shoulders.
“Imagine if he heard about my other sources of power. Like Arosus and the Nameless One. I am pretty sure he… would...”
She trailed off.
“Should I really be keeping this a secret from Nazar? I know he designed to me have some freedom... But is it really necessary?”
Solace stretched her feminine yet muscular body.
“I guess one of these days I should tell him about all the secrets I am hiding from him. Especially about Nazar Prime.”
လလလ
It’s dark.
I can’t see anything.
Did I defeat that beast? I would be happy if I did…
!!
But if I didn't, everything will die…
Tch.
Fuck!
Why did I have to become so careless? So, what if I got excited? I don't have the right to be excited. I never had it!
This power… I fucking hate it.
If only I had reached that status by myself. I would have boasted this power. I would have… I just can't accept this! Being forced into a position higher than everyone else… I hate this!
Imbued with more power than anyone, I can't even get excited during battles. I can't even let loose unless I destroy everything.
What kind of fucked up existence is this?!?!
All of you cunts want power… SO FUCKING TAKE IT!!! ANYONE... JUST TAKE IT!!!!!
.......
I should have given it to the Nameless One or the Supreme one--
No. That would have ended badly.
Emma, mom, Laura, Aeron, Aarin… If I had given them power, none of them would have existed.
....
I wish I could have spent more time with them when I was younger. I wish I didn't run away then. I wish I… I wish…
If I only that dragon didn't appear at that moment… If only it gave me the answers I was looking for… If only it didn't send me on a wild goose chase… I would have had a better life. A somewhat of a normal childhood. I would have spent--
No, I was scared. It's my fault.
I didn't want the old world to repeat itself here. I was scared of my own parents. And in turn, I lost a lot of things.
I forced Solace to become me while I watched from afar.
Being the most powerful being in the universe and scared of two normal humans… Absolutely pathetic.
Solace…
We share a brain. We think the same. We even feel the same most of the times.
I really should set her free one day, shouldn't I?
She would want to live a life of her own too.
Solace might not have a human body but she is more human than me. The least she deserves is a free life.
But…
I need her, don't I?
She is important to me. I love her.
Heh.
Not like that, of course. But I still love her deeply.
She is always there for me. No matter how dark it gets, with her around, there will always be light.
Ahh. I see light again.
"...up!"
And I hear her voice again.
"Do you want a wake up kiss?"
Seeing her face, it always calms me down.
"Nah. I am good."
Now that I think about it, I did base her off Laura. She shares similar features.
Technically I made her a combination of Laura and a lot of fictional characters… But I wish to forget about that phase of mine.
If only the Nameless One wasn't influencing me, she probably would have looked very different.
But at the same time, I don't want her to change her appearance. I like this one.
"Your powers are allllllll gone now."
….What?
"Temporarily, anyway."
… I got excited for nothing.
Sigh.
"Hey, Solace…"
"Yes?"
"Can I die?"
"..."
She thinks and thinks. I can see her thoughts and she sees mine.
We are not hidden from one another.
We share a special bond.
"But we pretend to be a little more normal."
"Yes, Solace," she smiled.
I never wanted to admit this, but she has one of the most beautiful smiles I have ever seen.
"Aww, you will make me blush."
Shut it!
"Anyway, you won't die. If you did, you wouldn't be this depressed 99% of the times."
"Then why does it feel like dying?"
"Hm?"
"Right now, everything is dark. I can only see your face. And I can barely make it out."
"..."
Silence then laughter.
"Come on, don't sulk. You can't die, unfortunately. Don't give yourself false hope. Nothing good comes out of it."
"No... This time, it feels different."
"Do you want me to heal you?"
It would be easy but...
"......No."
"Okay."
"Can I ask for a favour?"
Do I really…?
"Sure."
What if I…?
"I want to see my mom."
"I hear a but coming."
"But… Is it alright to burden them like this?"
"Yes. I think she will be happy, instead of thinking of you as a burden."
"I see."
"You should be glad you have a great mother like her. If only you realised this hundreds of years ago, haha."
Her voice is becoming fainter and fainter.
Am I going to die…?
"Can you please take me there?"
Do I want to die?
I always wanted to die. But…
"Of course."
It's getting even darker.
"We will…"
Her voice is gone now.
It's dark. Cold. Empty.
And I am...
……………………………
လလလ
Nazar opened his eyes a long time later.
He was in a familiar yet unfamiliar place.
(What am I…?) Nazar thought to himself.
He was laying down on the floor and Laura was standing on his stomach.
"Oh, you weren't kidding," Laura said while laughing. "Even your normal human body is very hard."
(When did this…!!!)
Nazar's eyes widened.
(Where am I?)
“What’s wrong?”
He looked at the confused Laura.
(Until I know more, I should pretend as if this is nothing and be my usual self.)
“.....Nothing,” Nazar said as tried to remove the surprised look from his face.
(This house… It’s the same house as the original timeline. This doesn't make sense.)
Nazar forced a smile on his face.
“So, why are you standing on top of me?”
“Oh, you said that your human body is far stronger than an average human, so you know, I was just checking it.”
“I see...”
“Hey, Nazar---”
Nazar looked at his left and saw Emma standing at the door of the room with a disgusted look on her face.
“What the…?”
“Why are you looking at me as if I am trash?”
Emma nodded and turned around.
“Wait, I can explain...”
She was about to leave the room but something happened.
The Queen of Virrasil appeared from thin air as she said, “Failure.”
From her hand, an energy sword appeared and cut Emma in half.
“...”
Before Nazar could react, the Queen did the same to Laura.
As their blood painted the room red, the Queen brought her close to his face.
“Another failure.”
Suddenly, Nazar found himself shredded into pieces.
And then everything went dark.

Path of Righteousness
What do you desire? What are you afraid of? You run away from one, pursuing the other. Is that all you are? Conquer your fears. Dig to the bottom and confirm, what you really want... ...For you cannot escape suffering and death. You only have a little time. Use it wisely. Uru, a young boy with no talent for magic or fighting, sets out on a quest to become an avatar of order, the physical embodiment of righteousness, in a distant future, where control of origin energy allows people to defy physics and manipulate causality. Mocked by fate and broken by impossible dreams, all that's left is to stand in defiance to cruel existence. Because there is a Truth out there, somewhere. Singular, transcendent, eternal. What would you sacrifice for it? *** This is a fantastic sci-fi epic. It's going to blend both western and eastern traditional fantasy tropes – like might & magic and cultivation – with rational sci-fi grounded fully in reality, to produce a purely fictional fairy tale. I'd like to deliver something light-hearted and yet wholly serious. An uplifting adventure exploring the unfathomable reaches of humanity, free of indecency, with a healthy dose of humorous banter, legendary beings, and most importantly – lots of exciting, firework-filled mayhem! I've tried reading many web novels, but there's a fundamental problem with them – the eastern ones are annoyingly repetitive, superficial and morally destitute, while western ones are often dark, convoluted and profane. There's only so much one can do to filter out the bad and try to fill in the gaps with their own imagination. It's one thing to eat tasty fast food, but if it's moldy and filled with toxins, then it's not only poisonous, but also disgusting. The appreciation of beauty and higher values is disappearing at an alarming rate. Although there are throngs of talented people out there, none of them are creating what I want to witness – an inspiring battle against impossible odds, ending in absolute victory. A triumph of the spirit so overwhelming, it crushes the spectator into his seat and takes his breath away. I'm looking for a real paragon, so now I'd like to try conceiving one. *** The MC's name comes from Tolkien's Elven dictionary in Silmarillion, 'Uru' meaning 'Fire', and 'Dagnir an Uruloki' meaning 'Slayer of Dragons'. *** Note: I'm neither a native speaker, nor an aficionado of literature – I've never written anything before, and despite proficient English my literary prowess is abysmal. It therefore takes me a painful amount of effort to polish the chapters and bring them up to par. Last year I wrote and posted some on FictionPress, but I stopped since it wasn't going anywhere. The appalling amount of filth and mediocrity being peddled in all the media nowadays – a result of no conspiracy to manipulate the masses, but plain supply and demand – is no longer just the triumph of form over substance, but most worryingly corruption of the latter. Who wants to read about ideals anymore? And yet, masses flock together to gobble up perversion and depravity. That being said, I can't rule out pitiful exposure as the culprit to my failure, so I am now once again trying to increase it here, possibly for the last time. If there are still human beings present, hungry or in need of a detox after eating too much garbage, make yourselves heard, so I can see a reason to continue the story. Otherwise it's pointless – I'm not going to make fodder for the masses, and I'm most certainly not going to throw pearls before swine. I'll simply stop writing altogether.
