Chapter 87 - Arc 12 - The God Eater - Part 1
Wednesday 16th of June - Bradley Island, Earth:
Near the Carribeans was a small island is known as Bradley Island. It was a small island full of tall hotels, parks, resorts, an airport, a dock, a beautiful beach and more. The island is owned by Bradley Conglomerate. They use this island for many reasons, such as business deals.
However, for about 20 days each year, the island is used for BUST - Bradley University of Science and Technology - students. From across the world, all the graduating students come to this island.
It is a form of farewell trip. Or perhaps more business dealings.
But besides having fun, it is an opportunity for the students to come in contact with world-class organisations.
BUST has been the highest-rated university in the world for many years, standing above Oxford and MIT. Throughout their time at university, the students get offers from world-class organisations who want them to work for them.
Students have enough time to think about it, so in these 20 days, they have a chance to meet with these organisations face to face and give them an answer.
On this island, many passengers planes landed. Thousands and thousands of students were coming from across the world.
Since Nazar wants to continue his life as a normal human, he is also on this island with the rest of the students.
Nazar joined BUST, not because his friends were attending this university but because he wanted to test something.
Can the richest man on the face of the planet figure out who Nazar truly is?
To him, this was just a game. And it still is somewhat. That’s the reason he came to this island. He could have stayed home but didn’t.
However, what he does not know is that this trip will end horribly for him.
Once the planes landed, the students were taken into the hotels via an air train line - which is fully automated and very environment-friendly.
Each hotel has two receptions. One at the top floor and one at its lowest floor.
So, all the students checked in at the top floor and went to their given rooms. Nazar’s room was on the highest floor - which was the 20th floor.
Coming into the large room, he lay down lazily.
“Three years and he didn’t notice anything.”
In the original timeline, Nazar and Ishaya knew each other - though not too well. However, they hated each other.
“I mean, it was right in front of him. I acted like an idiot in front of people and then made all these insane stuff and he still didn’t notice… Maybe my acting was horrible?”
Nazar sighed heavily as he closed his eyes.
(It's been over ten years since I last slept… And since Emily "unlocked" me, I should be fine now, right?)
Thinking that he let himself fall asleep.
There was nothing but darkness.
But suddenly, from the darkness...
"Why did you not save me?"
Hearing a voice, he looked around.
(The Dream World…)
"Why did you leave me to die?"
Nazar recognised that voice. It belonged to Rina Greenphord.
(Come on… Wake up!)
He forced his mind to leave this place and go back to his body but it seemed impossible.
"Did I not matter to you?"
From the darkness, a snow-like white face, purple eyes and silver hair can be seen.
She had a sad expression on her face, almost crying.
“What if it was your lover from the human world? Would you have let her die too?”

Nazar struggled to breathe.
“No, no, no, no, no. You… You don’t understand… I tried. I-I tried.”
“Did you?”
She whispered in his ear.
“You didn’t do anything to save me. You just watched. You watched as everyone around you was killed because of you.”
Her cold voice stabbed him in his heart.
“You watched as all of us died,” another voice said.
Looking around, Nazar noticed that everyone who died on planet Eir was standing before him and spoke in unison.
“We died for no reason because of you.”
“No, that’s not...”
Nazar looked down as he fell to his knees.
“It’s… It’s...”
“It’s the truth. You let a whole world die so you could survive.”
“Pathetic.”
“Weak.”
“Selfish.”
“Shut up… Shut up. Shut UP! SHUT UP!”
“Pathetic.”
“Weak.”
“Selfish.”
Nazar tried to think of a way to leave this place but only one thing came to his mind.
“Pathetic.”
“Weak.”
“Selfish.”
Kill himself.
He tried to move his hand but he was too weak to move his hand.
“Pathetic.”
“Weak.”
“Selfish.”
“SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!”
As he screamed, he accidentally unleashed an omnidirectional energy attack and all of them vanished.
(I tried. I tried--- Shit. I could-- It’s not fau-- Argh!!)
When they died, he noticed he stopped shaking.
So, he held his index finger to his temple and shot himself with energy. His brain splashed across the floor (?) of this place.
လလလ
He coughed with his eyes half-open.
“I tried...”
“Are you okay?”
Hearing a familiar voice, he opened his eyes fully and saw Laura’s face, who was sitting on his bed near him.
“...”
(So, that’s why...)
“Thanks.”
Laura tilted her head in a confused manner.
“Well, either way, the whole island shook so I came here straight away.”
Nazar’s eyes widened.
“Solace opened the door.”
“Oh.”
Nazar sat up and looked around.
“Don’t worry, I made sure no one else would notice it,” Solace said. “Except her, of course.”
"Why?" Nazar asked.
"If I forcefully push you out, you will only hurt yourself. But that energy within her keeps you safe - well to a degree."
"Sorry about that," he said to Laura with a stiff smile on his face.
Standing up, Nazar stretched his arms.
“I guess I gotta disconnect myself from the Dream World,” he said slowly.
“Well, whatever you do, don’t mess up again. I can’t be asked to come here every second,” she crossed her arms in front of her chest and puffed her cheeks. “Someone’s giving me way too much work, you know?”
“Sorry.”
“Just because I am not a human, doesn’t mean that I shouldn’t get a break once in a while.”
“Sorry, sorry.”
"I will report you to the inter-galactic council for not treating me fairly."
Solace vanished into thin air.
“So, you had a bad dream?”
“...”
Nazar stared at the blue ocean.
“Something like that.”
“With the amounts of powers you have, I thought you wouldn’t need to dream?”
“That is true. I don’t dream but whatever Emily did, some stuff was changed within me.”
“Emily?”
Laura’s eyes widened.
“You mean the one…?”
“Yep. That one.”
She seemed worried.
“I don’t think she will do it again. Last time, the Nameless One was in control of her body.”
“Oh...”

"Either way, I can stop her if it happens again... I think."
Nazar let out a heavy sigh.
“I wonder what Harry and Chris are up to? I haven't seen them in a long time.”
“Don’t know, honestly. Haven’t seen those guys in a while either.”
“Oh.”
He pulled out his phone and called one of them.
“It went through but---- That increase heartbeat belongs to...”
He sucked in a breath.
“What is it?”
“Is that the case, huh?”
(What the hell…? I wouldn’t be surprised… But even then-- Since when? Why? How did it happen? Should I remove it-- No, that would… Shit!)
Nazar looked at Laura.
“It’s… I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.”
Nazar moved his hand and four other people appeared in the room.
They seem surprised. However, the two of them seemed scared too.
“Wh-wha-what?” Laura blurted out with her eyes opened wide.
“Harry, Chris… You remember, right?”
He saw how they struggled to breathe due to fear.
”Let’s talk.”
He smiled gently but they definitely did not see it that way.
“I should have told you a long time ago.”

Far from earth, in the darkness of space, Reaper flew as fast as he could.
He tried teleporting in but the beast’s presence was interfering with the numbers.
One simple mistake and Reaper could end up on the wrong side of the blade.
(I need to go faster… I have to warn him before it’s too late.)
He narrowed his eyes.
(Space and time are related. They are concepts which are quantifiable into numbers. Now, if I just...)
Time slowed down around Reaper.
But.
(Space is… It's not working. Whatever that thing is, he is changing the numbers too fast. Since he stole Nazar's power from the Quantum Realm and me, his powers and control over the universe increased significantly.)
He gritted his teeth.
(It will take me many minutes even though I slowed down the flow of time. With the numbers constantly changing, my speed is slowing down too. Well, my low energies are also part of it. But...)
He doesn't care about a planet like Earth but he is worried about Nazar's wrath. If Earth is destroyed, he will definitely let loose and it will affect everything.
So, he wants to save Earth for his own survival.
With numbers constantly changing, he is not sure anymore. Can he even reach there on time?
(I was never as fast as Rewind or Meltdown.)
Reaper was physically the strongest person on Jabalot Empire. He could lift the weight of 50 planets with ease. But he was never the fastest.
To make up for his speed, he used to manipulate time and space. Or teleportation. But since the numbers are changing constantly, they are useless.
(Wait.)
Reaper's ability is to manipulate quantum physics. The energies which allow him to manipulate quantum physics come from an inter-dimensional place called the Quantum Realm.
(Can it…?)
Ahead of him, in the dark place, a doorway opened. It was made from glowing blue energy.
Going through the glowing blue energy doorway, he entered an energy dimension.
Illuminated with white and blue energies, Reaper had to close his eyes since it was hard to see.
(This place exists outside of our universe. So, it should not be affected.)
He sucked in a breath.
(So, if I open a doorway in another place - Earth - I should get there instantly.)
His mind raced faster than the speed of light.
He thought and thought.
Reaper can open a doorway to anywhere in the universe, but he is not sure how he will open it when he doesn't have the number.
(If I do not find a way, I will use this opportunity to recharge.)
As he absorbed the energies, Reaperthought back to a conversation he had with a friend a long time ago.
(If I remember correctly, Weq said that any energies which come from another dimension - like magic - can theoretically ignore the laws of the universe.)
This theory, however, has never been tested.
(Every universe have their own set of laws. Which in return means, it has its own numbers. So, since my power comes from another dimension, what if I...)
He sucked in a breath and closed his eyes.
(To teleport, I need to have the correct numbers for the location. But with extra-dimensional energies - like magic - you can reach that place without the numbers.)
In other words, a user can reach their destination just by thinking about it.
(It’s time to test out that theory.)
Reaper has been to Earth only a few times, but even then he knew the numbers of it. And if he didn’t, he would just lock onto the energies of Nazar and get there.
But without numbers, he needs to think about the location and get there.
However, he cannot recall a single location on Earth.
But he doesn’t need to.
(Mars. I remember battling an ancient entity from another dimension recently.)
Reaper thought to the red planet Mars and vanish into thin air.
လလလ
On Earth, away from the island:
In the middle of the ocean, the fish were living their normal quiet life when suddenly half of the planet shook.
Somewhere in the Indian Ocean, near Australia, someone landed.
No, a beast landed.
It was a 3-meter tall beast with a dark glow surrounding it.
This beast had teeth that resembled orcs, white eyes that resembled a Griffin, a big nose that resembled a Unicorn, two horns that resembled the demons, ears that resembled the dwarves, and a face shape that resembles a gorilla. The beast had legs that resembled a werewolf and arms that resembled the Fenrir. Its body was covered in hair completely. It had long and wavy hair on its head.
“I sense it… God’s energies. It’s faint--”
The beast looked around him at the bottom of the ocean.
“Decoys. Many of them.”
The beast smiled.
“Your reputation lives up, God.”
Narrowing his white eyes, it continued.
“Matter not, I will hunt every decoy and eat their power.”
Growling, he jumped from the water towards Australia.
“Now then...”
In a single leap, the beast went from the middle of the Indian Ocean to the middle of Australia.
Most of Alice Springs town reduced to ash when this growling beast landed furiously.
The injured people tried to get up and run away but the beast growled at the sky.
“Hrm. I sense… There.”
The beast smiled once it located the energy.
Leaping from one side of the town to the other, the beast found it's prey.
A brown-haired, green-eyed man called Chris Fisher.
He was driving through the town when the beast landed on top of his car.
At the last second, he managed to place a barrier around himself but his companion was turned into paste.
Chris jumped from the car using one of his gravity bubbles.
He tried not to think about the death of his companion.
“Oh, you are not God at all.”
“???!”
Chris tried to increase the distance between them but the beast was too fast for him.
The beast held him up by his head.
“God’s energies are mine now.”
Sucking all the energies from him, the beast threw away Chris.
“The stronger… No, the weaker. God would not want to draw attention.”
What this beast does not know is that Nazar's energies are hidden. He will never find Nazar like this.
The beast calling itself the God Eater leapt once more.
“God must be concealing himself. Pretending to be weak.”
Leaping from Australia to South Africa in a single bound, he landed in front of Arno, destroying most of his town.
Before he could react, the beast had sucked out the energy out of him.
And so, God Eater moved on to his other targets.
