Chapter 84 - Arc 11 - The God/dess and the Mortal - Part 6
“Holy crap, what is this?!” Laura said out loud as she looked around with her mouth opened wide.
“It’s a library,” Nazar replied as he stated the obvious with a rather blank look on his face.
Inside the spaceship, there was a massive library in it. One of the main reasons he has this spaceship is because he needs to keep his nerdy stuff - such as comics, manga, light novels, books, collectables and more - somewhere safe.
“Yeah, I can see that… But holy shit, the number of books and posters and toys… This is insane.”
“It is…?”
“Mm-hmm,” she nodded. “How much did you waste on this?”
Nazar looked away as he nervously scratched his cheek.
“A few million.”
“Oh, I se--… Wait!! A few million?!?!” Laura blurted out with wide surprised eyes.
That amount was a huge number.
“Okay, give me back my money. I spent over a hundred pounds on your birthday.”
“Wow, so stingy.”
Nazar’s eyes lit up with yellow energy for a split second.
“Now, it’s added to your account.”
When he used technopathy before, it was blue but right now, it is yellow. Nazar constantly changes the colours of his energies to confuse his enemies.
Laura took out her phone.
“Why is there Wi-Fi here in the first place?”
“Because Eddie comes here often.”
“Ah.”
Going through her phone, her jaw dropped.
“....What the fuck?”
“What?”
“How many zeros did you add?”
“Like four?”
“Thanks… But holy shit, that’s toooooooo much.”
Nazar laughed.
“Anyway...”
He looked at a large number of graphic novels, comics and manga.
“This is where the comics are. It’s organised by each publisher and each title in the correct order.”
“Cool.”
Laura was still looking at her phone, which had the bank app open. She couldn’t believe the amount of money she had.
“Next to that is the manga section. It’s organised by each publisher. And-- Are you even listening?”
“No,” she replied bluntly. “I can’t believe what I am seeing. Who just sends thousands of pounds in return for just one hundred?”
“Me,” he raised his hand as he smiled stiffly.
She frowned.
“Okay,” she put her phone away. “You can show me around now.”
“Where was I…? Ah. Okay, so that’s the light novel section, that is the novel section, that……… Nevermind that. If you want to read anything, you can choose something from here.”
As Laura looked around and admiring this large library, Nazar continued.
“I also have DVDs and Blu-Rays here too. Though, most of them are anime.”
“Oh...”
While looking around the library, she found an odd magazine which did not belong here.
“This is...” she picked up the magazines.
No, it was not an adult magazine.
“It’s a magazine about wedding dresses. There are a few others around too.”
“Oh.”
Laura flipped through the magazine.
“You want to get married to someone?”
“Uh, this is not mine. It’s Eddie’s.”
She nodded her head as she flipped through the magazine.
“You remember Eddie, right? Norse God.”
“Of course. I won’t forget a hot guy like him.”
Nazar smiled thinly.
He raised his right hand and in it, large metallic darts appeared between his fingers.
“I am going to kill him.”
Laura laughed.
“See? You do get jealous. I knew it was going to work.”

“Shit, you got me there.”
The darts disappeared.
“So… Does he want to get married?”
“He was thinking about it.”
“Oh.”
“I still don’t understand why people get married. Any ideas?”
Laura placed the magazine and picked up another one.
“Everyone has their own ideas but I think it’s because they want to be together with one person forever, share their life, happiness and sadness with them. Also, have children and stuff like that.”
“So… Not so different than just a normal relationship?”
“Kind of. But at the same time, when you are married you are more committed and have more responsibilities.”
“I see...”
“What, you want to put a ring on my finger?” she said jokingly as she laughed.
“Hm, not sure. Do you want to?”
“I wouldn’t hate it.”
Laura flipped through the wedding magazines for a few minutes while Nazar reread everything in the library.
Standing on the other side of the library, he stared at the ceiling.
“From what I have read in these comics, manga and light novels, I guess marriage doesn’t seem too bad.”
Though he said that out loud, Laura was too far away to hear it.
“Mariage--"
"Nazar!"
Hearing her voice, he put the book back and teleported next to her.
"Wanna explain what I just came across here?"
Seeing what was in her hand, his cheek twitched.
"Er… It's not what it looks like," he said stiffly.
"Oh?"
"Yes. It's not a hentai book. Just a… borderline hentai."
"Right…"
"It has a good story....... The characters are great too."
Laura stared at him.
"Actually, it's not mine. It's... Uh, Eddie's. Yes, it's his."
Nazar wiped his hand and all the questionable books seem to have gone somewhere else. Even the one in Laura’s hand.
"Leaving his stuff here. What an idiot."
Laura sighed heavily.
“That was a good move.”
“Thanks.”
“It wasn’t a compliment.”
His smile vanished as he said, “Oh...”
"Right, forget that. That's not why I called you here."
"Oh?"
"It's about…"
She looked down as she continued.
"It's uh… Um, remember my brother? Do you know where he is?"
"He is at school."
She frowned.
"I mean the older one."
"Ah…"
Laura's brother, Marko, in the original timeline, was taken by the Nameless One and changed.
"I haven't seen or sensed him anywhere on the planet. I don't know what happened to him after time was nearly destroyed. Sorry."
"I see… I wish he was still around. I wish I had gotten to know his child better."
A sad smile appeared on his face.
"Who knows? He might still be alive. This world has surprised me quite a lot in the past."
"Hm, hopefully, he is still around. He seemed happy in the end."
"Well… A lot of people did."
"Really?"
"Of course, this is better by a thousand miles but that other one had its… Hm, I don't want to say moments but definitely had a few good things to offer, I think."
"I can't say I agree but you do you."
“Look, I am not saying I like that world. But it had some good things. Like our meeting… Actually, nevermind. Considering the circumstances, I guess it’s not that good then?”
“I can see where you are coming from. But still-- Big NO!”
“Fair enou-- Hm?”
(Was that...?)
Feeling odd energy from a faraway place, Nazar frowned.

“It… Hm,” he scratched his chin as he thought. “A black hole? In the centre of NGC 6946?”
“NG--What?”
“Have you ever heard of a galaxy called the Fireworks Galaxy?”
“Nope,” she replied immediately. “Is it far?”
“It’s only a few million light-years. Shouldn’t take more than a few seconds to get there.”
Her jaw dropped in a surprise.
“Whaaaaaattttttt?????”
Nazar smiled stiffly.
“Well…. I can go even faster if I teleport.”
“Oh, I see… So, shouldn’t you be going?”
“Yep. I really should.”
Nazar prepared to teleport out.
“Ah, before you go, send me back to earth. I need to finish packing.”
“Okay.”
She kissed him on the cheek as she vanished into thin air.
“Now then...”
Nazar teleported out of the spaceship and went to the Fireworks Galaxy.
His eyes widened as he looked at the black hole.
“Motherfucker, I knew it! But---- What do you think you are doing?!?!”
“Ahhhhhh. Nope. Nope. Not my fault. I was going… Hehe. Look… Ah, you know that great planet far from here? It is so gorgeous---”
“Bitch shut the fuck up!”
A brown-haired, brown-eyed man nervously laughed as he scratched the back of his head.
“Arael!”
Nazar moved fast and punched the God of Power in the face.
“Ow, ow, ow, ow. Let me explain!!!!!!!!”
The Living Black Hole soon vanished into nothing.
“Let me guess… You wanted to see how big it could get? By making it eat a WHOLE FUCKING GALAXY?”
“Well...”
Arael jumped back.
“I am heartbroken.”
“I don’t care--- What do you mean you are heartbroken?”
“Esme rejected me again...”
Seeing his shoulders hung low, Nazar thought.
(What is the correlation here? Why would his rejection lead to--)
“Did you try to get over your failure by destroying a galaxy?”
“What? Of course, not! That was just a joke. I...”
Arael avoided looking Nazar in the eyes.
“I was… Uh… You know… ………………...”
He muttered something under his breath and Nazar did not hear it.
“Say it out, Arael and I will let you off this time. Got it?”
He let out a heavy sigh.
“I was bored.”
Nazar’s right eye twitched in anger as he smiled.
“So, I tried to create my Living Black Hole here to see what will happen. We both know I would have not killed any of the planets. I just wanted to see if it can be materialised in this dimensional plane of existence.”
“Right…”
Nazar was not convinced by his answer.
“I am 100--99--50% telling the truth.”
“That drop from 99 to 50 is very high.”
Arael shrugged.
“Look, I was bored. And wanted to test out my Living Black Hole.”
Nazar’s hands were itching to strangle him to death.
“Hey, Nazar...”
Arael stood next to Nazar.
“I love Esme.”
“............................................”
“I want to marry her.”
“Good luck,” Nazar replied with a blank look on his face.
“So, help me out.”
“I can help you die. Do you want that?”
“No, thank you.”
“Please tell me you are joking.”
“Of course,” Arael said as he slapped Nazar’s back. “We are Gods. Angels, demons and Gods don’t care about such primitive things such as love or sex. Or at least most of us don’t. Some do, disappointingly.”
“Oh cool. You had me worried for a second. I thought I had to kill the Gods now.”
"Huh???"
Nazar rolled his eyes.
“As for the true reason I was here… I just wanted to test out my Living Black Hole. Surprisingly, it works perfectly in every dimension. Up to the sixth one, anyway.”
“Yeah, no shit Sherlock.”
“By the way, I have made many changes to it.”
“Oh?”
The Living Black Hole appeared in front of them.
Nazar’s body jerked.
“Dude, what--”
“Watch.”
Seeing the calm and proud look on his face, Nazar found himself confused.
“What are-- Ooh?”
The Living Black Hole was standing in the middle of this galaxy and nothing was changing.
“Increase your size.”
Nazar and Arael’s size increased.
Being larger than a galaxy, they looked at the Living Black Hole from close up.
“So...”
“It will only occupy this dimension if I want it to. And it can eat anything. Matter, antimatter, dark matter, nothingness, light, magic, energy, and more.”
“Cool. And?”
“And it can feed off nothing when needed. I brought it here to fight you if I being honest. I want to see it’s limits.”
Nazar looked at him in reflex.
If he had not controlled his body and the space around him, the shockwave from that could have decimated worlds.
“I want you to fight it in your God Slayer - your most powerful form.”
Nazar’s eyes widened.
“How do you know…?”
Arael smiled thinly.
“I might not be able to access your powers but I know about you. Your powers and personalities/existences. You pretend your Destruction form is the most powerful but we all know, in this body, it is the God Slayer form.”
Nazar smiled as he let out a sigh of relief.
“My Godly powers are the most powerful but I will never use it unless there is no option.”
“Your powers are heavily related to your mind so your Godly powers are the weakest due to mental limitations. But you don’t have personal mental limitations when it comes to your other forms. You want to release that power, so that’s why it's more powerful than your base form. When in reality, it should be the opposite.”
“One of these days, I should kill you.”
Arael laughed.
“Now fight my Living Black Hole, please?”
“Why should I?”
“I need to test out its capabilities.”
Arael smiled thinly.
“And you don’t want to take chances, do you?”
Nazar sighed.
“Accessing Nazar Nazar 9.0, the God Slayer.”
His eyes went pitch black. His hair turned into energy. The colour of his hair changed ten times in a split second.
His height went back to his usual height too.
(10 seconds… That’s how I long I have in this form. I need to finish everything now!)
He mustered up everything he had within him. Nazar also used his surroundings to increase his power levels.
In this form, he has gained perfect harmony in mind, body, soul and energy.
His energies are not contradicting one another, so he is not as weak as he was when fighting the Queen in the other multiverse.
Nazar sucked in a breath as he moved.
Arael had made sure that they both were in another place. He didn’t want his universe to die.
“Now then… Let’s go, God!”
Arael seemed excited as he watched from afar.
But Nazar narrowed his eyes as he clenched his fist.
“It’s over!”
With a single punch, the large Living Black Hole was turned into ash.
Arael saw from very far.
His shoulders drooped in a depressed manner.
“I was sure… I made sure that it was powerful enough to fight the Supreme One!!!”
Arael sounded both excited and angry.
Nazar stood before him as he coughed blood.
“This form… It always leaves a toll on my body,” Nazar said as he smiled.
His form returned to normal.
“So… Is it strong?”
“Well, I wanted it to be able to destroy the Supreme One… But I guess it was a failure.”
“Why do you want to kill him?”
Arael stared at him blankly.
“Because he killed me.”
“Good point.”
Nazar narrowed his eyes.
“Aren’t you far stronger than the Supreme One? At your full power, I mean.”
“I am, but I would rather not use my full power. You know how much I hate it. You understand, don’t you?”
“Yeah,” Nazar replied as he remembered his own situation.
He understands why Arael won’t release his full power. It leaves a heavy toll on his body and can even lead to his death.
“Well, I did make Solace because I did not want to release more power than necessary.”
Arael smiled widely.
“See, we understand each other.”
“Sadly.”
Nazar laughed as he prepared to open a portal.
“If you need help recreating your Living Black Hole, let me know.”
“And if you need any help, let me know.”
Arael saluted as he prepared to teleport out.
Nazar, however, held up his middle finger as the portal swallowed him.
They went their separate ways.
Nazar went to Chochica Empire and Arael went back to the sixth dimensional plane of existence.

Embrace the Blade
Born crippled, it was no surprise when James Ransom died young, but he was offered an opportunity - a mission: to go to a new world and become strong enough to kill the hidden boss behind the final boss. Now in a new world he must research and study the system to take advantage of it, find his strengths; form alliances and find party members to become strong enough to face the end. This story does use Multiple perspectives and tells stories that add to the MC's. I've been given this feedback enough that I feel the need to mention that growth (levels, skills, classes, etc.) is slow, intentionally so, but constant. Credit for the cover goes to a commission for KemptBones from DeviantArt for the cover. This book is a rewrite of the original Embrace the Blade. The timeline for this one is completely separate and you do not need to read the original to understand what is going on. If you want to check out the original you can find it here (just a warning that they are NOT good): ETB Drafts 1&2 If you came here from the original EtB, WELCOME!!
