Chapter 83 - Arc 11 - The God/dess and the Mortal - Part 5
In a spaceship above Earth, Nazar was standing in a large bathroom and washing his face.
Looking into the mirror, he noticed the remains of blood on his face.
Even though he washed it, there were still some blood remaining.
He slowly touched his face with his index finger.
The dry blood disintegrated into nothingness.
“If only you worked on her...”
He sighed heavily.
“That was weird… Why did I cry? And I just ruined her good time. It’s almost like...”
He touched his beating heart.
“Why do I always feel so calm around her? I don’t know, but whenever I am around her, I can’t stop hiding anything. I can cry, laugh, show weakness, and more in front of her.”
It has always been like this.
Nazar only shows everything to certain people. Solace inevitably knows since she is part of him. Aarin knows because she always watches over him.
But when it comes to humans, Laura is the only one.
“There is no external manipulations from anyone. This is… This is just me. I love her. I trust her more than most. But what if I am bothering here?”
He turned around.
“Sorry, Laura.”
He forced a smile when he saw Laura.
She just got here and didn’t hear anything he said.
“Sorry for ruin--”
“Shut up.”
Nazar was not surprised by that. He expected her to say that.
“I mean, I cried yesterday in your arms. So… I guess this is me turning my debt?”
Nazar laughed lightly.
“Don’t worry about anything like that with me, okay?”
She walked closer to him and placed her hands on both of his cheeks.
“It’s not bothering me. In fact, I don’t feel like the distance between us is as big as it used to be. Every time you show emotions or a ‘weakness’ like that, it just makes you more human. And loveable.”
Seeing the gentle smile on her face, all of his worries vanished for a brief moment.
“Come here.”
She kissed him on the lips and then hugged him.
“Thanks.”
“For?”
“Everything.”
“Haha, you’re welcome, sweetie.”
She suddenly stopped hugging him.
“Wait!”
“Hm?”
He seemed worried for a second but once he saw the playful smile on her face, his shoulders relaxed.
“Why don’t you call me a cute name too?”
“Well, I have been thinking but I couldn’t come up with anything. Most seem either too basic or too cliche.”
“Oh… Well, I don’t care. Just call me something nice.”
“Okay… Um… How about… Got any clues?”
“Sweetie.”
“Oh, hi sweetie,” Nazar said stiffly.
Laura laughed.
“With that tone of voice and that personality… Yikes.”
“That bad?”
“Yep. Not fitting at all.”
Nazar’s shoulders stooped.
“I knew it!”
“At least you tried,” she said as she hugged him again. “Unlike other idiots in my life before.”
“Well… I guess I do have something that they don't.”
“Yes, you do. And by the way...”
“Hm?”
“Bring my phone to me.”
“Okay?”
Her phone appeared in her hand from thin air.

“Here let’s take a picture.”
“Are you sure you want your pictures tainted ugly because of me?”
She looked at him.
“I forgot you have an inferiority complex.”
“Hm?” Nazar was not sure what she was talking about.
“Anyway, turn around and face the mirror.”
“Okay...”
Nazar did as Laura said.
Facing the mirror, Laura stood in front of Nazar and opened the camera app.
“Now then… Take off your shirt.”
“Hahaha… Wait, you are serious?”
Laura nodded.
“I wanna show off your muscles to my friends.”
“Right...”
“Come on, do it.”
“Ah, whatever. Let’s do it.”
He tapped his chest twice and the shirt disappeared.
“Okay… It’s embarrassing to show myself half-naked to the world.”
She looked back at him with a blank look on her face.
“I am in a sports bra and shorts, okay?”
“And?”
She frowned.
“You are so annoying.”
Nazar’s shirt appeared once more.
“Whatever. Let’s take a picture like this.”
Nazar just stood behind her awkwardly as Laura took a picture.
After many tries, she finally took a good picture of both of them smiling.
Walking out of the bathroom, they entered the kitchen.
Nazar opened the fridge door and took out some ingredients.
“I have been calling Harry and Chris. But they aren’t picking up. Any ideas, Laura?”
She shook her head.
“I have got no clue. Just use your powers and look for them?”
“A tempting option. But I try not to spy on those close to me, haha.”
“Oh?” She narrowed her eyes. “You are telling me you never watched me take a shower? Or when I was changing my clothes? Or sleeping with someone?”
Nazar shook his head.
“Wow. You sure know how to make your powers feel useless and boring.”
“Ouch. That hurts.”
“But seriously, you never peeked? Even a little?”
Nazar shook his head as he said, “No! I never will.”
“Ahhhhh. Why are you so disappointing?”
He shrugged.
“I am giving you permission to peek at my body whenever you want,” she said as she winked. “Or touch my body♡.”
“So, what do you want to eat?”
“You.”
“Wow, I didn’t know you were a cannibal.”
She picked up an apple which was on the table and threw it at Nazar.
The apple sliced into many parts and Nazar sent it back to her.
Floating in front of her, she picked one of it.
“Either way, I am hungry. Been a long time since I ate.”
“You can eat me.”
Nazar chuckled.
“Tempting offer. But I am still hungry.”
“Fine,” she said as she sighed. “Whip something up for me too.”
“What would you like?”
Before she could answer, Nazar raised his index finger to stop her.
“Except for me.”
“Aww, damn it.”
She sat up on the table.
“How beautiful are my legs?”
“I would like them to crush me. That’s the only acceptable way to die.”
“Let me know when you die.”
“Suffocation by your breasts is also a good option.”
“Lucky for you, I have got both.”

“I know. It’s the only reason I fell in love with you?”
“Whaaaatttt?”
Nazar laughed.
“Anyway, forget about my sexy body…”
She looked at herself and noticed sweat all over her body.
Seeing the sweat on her body, he averted his gaze because of how erotic it looked.
”Why is it so hot here?”
“It’s because I am here.”
She stared at him blankly.
Staring at him blankly, she took a bite from the apple slice that was floating before her.
Minutes passed and she kept staring at him blankly.
“I...”
She wanted to say something but then stopped herself.
“I am not lying, though,” Nazar said trying to make the joke appear less cringy. “I give off low levels of solar radiation.”
“Right… Wait, isn’t that lethal? Especially for me?!”
He shook his head.
“No, it’s enough to give you a decent amount of vitamin D. But not too lethal. Plus, it’s only sometimes. Mainly because you were lacking some vitamins D. Sorry if I--”
“Nah, thanks. Don’t apologise for everything. You are not Canadian.”
They both laughed.
Seeing how Nazar was avoiding his gaze, Laura smiled thinly.

“At the end, I didn't get to eat," Nazar said as he sat up in bed.
"Well, it's not my fault. I just took off my clothes and did some stuff. You didn't have to join me."
Nazar’s clothes appeared around him.
“When you were in the other world? Or whatever it was… You didn’t do anything?”
“Like?”
“I don’t know, sleep with some random beauty?”
Nazar shook his head.
“No. I can get rid of my sexual desires and such.”
“I guess, that’s pretty cool.”
“But I didn’t get rid of it at all this time.”
“Hm, why? Wouldn’t that have made it easier?”
“Well… I wanted to prove something.”
“And that is…?”
“Remember what I told you about me losing my memory of sleeping with that princess?”
She nodded.
“Well, I wanted to make sure nothing like that happens again. And I didn’t want to take the easy way out.”
She sighed.
“I don’t understand you sometimes.”
“Yeah, me neither.”
Nazar looked back at her.
“But if you don't believe me...”
Throughout the room, small holographic screens can be seen.
“Here.”
All of those screens showed Nazar’s memories of the last ten years.
“I can digitise my memories. You can go through them slowly--”
“Dude, I believe you. You need to understand that sometimes people joke.”
“I get that you were joking but I still wanted to explain,” Nazar laughed nervously.
“Now now let’s go and prepare some food! I am getting hungry.”
“Sure.”
Clothes appeared around Laura as Nazar’s eyes lit up with blue energy.
“Thanks.”
She stood up.
“How many women have you slept with?”
(Including dead timelines and not so fortunate events...)
“Six.”
Laura’s eyes widened.
“Shut up.”
“What?”
“You are telling me you have only slept with six women in the last 500 years or so?”
“Well, in this timeline, it’s only four.”
“I don’t believe you.”
“Why would I lie?”
“Fair enough.”
Nazar opened the bedroom door and left with Laura as they continued to talk.
Right outside of the bedroom was the kitchen.
“You?”
“Hm, you are the 15th.”
“Oh cool.”
“Are you jealous.”
“Why would I be?”
She frowned.
“Anyway, it probably would have doubled if I hadn’t met you that summer. I can’t believe I didn’t sleep with anyone for more than a year.”
“Well, I am sorry for stopping your growth," he sincerely apologized from the bottom of his heart.
She sighed.
“Do you ever get jealous?”
“I don’t see the point of jealousy.”
“I see… That’s great, I guess. I have to admit, I do get jealous when other girls thirst over you.”
Nazar looked back at her in reflex with a perplex expression on his face.
“I don’t know which reality that happens in, but I would like to visit it. It would be cool if I had girls thirsting over me instead of looking at me as if I am trash. I thought my white hair and red eyes would make me popular among them.”
Her eyes twitched in annoyance.
She knows that he manipulates people subconsciously when they are around him, but even then, she was annoyed.
“Well, I am not sure about myself, but I have felt that a lot of the guys had weird fantasies about you. It’s odd when you can see their thoughts.”
“Not surprised,” she replied with a blank look on her face. “We all have weird fantasies.”
Nazar started cooking.
He used his powers to move around the ingredients and objects.
“You know, I have to say something,” she smiled. “You have been very passionate since you came back from that world.”
“Yeah...”
Nazar remembered planet Eir. When he was on that planet, most of the time, he wondered what had happened to the people close to him. He wondered if they have moved on and forgotten about him.
“You know, when I was in the other world, I always feared… I feared that 10 years had passed for you guys too. I feared that all of you have moved on. Forgotten about me. Or worse, dead.”
But since he came back and found out they still remember him and haven't moved on, he was happy. So, he wants to be close to them as much as possible.
"From now on, even if years past for me, I will wait. I will defy death."
Laura laughed.
"Thanks."
"Can I even defy death?"
Nazar shook his head as he answered her question, "No."
She hung her shoulders low.
"Should have expected that."
(I love him.) Laura thought to herself. (I don't know why I felt that distance...)
She smiled.
(But I feel like it's decreasing as every second passes. It's not a relationship between a god and a human… It's between a human and a human.)
Laura started to help Nazar in preparing the food.
(Well, a human and a human with powers.)

A guy reincarnated as a sloth and is too lazy to be a protagonist
Hey, so do you also love a Story about people getting isekai’d into another world into a body of a monster that can evolve? Yea, sucks that most of them are either Harems (honestly, at first I was like "weird flex but okay", but now every fucking story that looks like it could go somewhere just throws the MC a new love interest every 3 chapters or so), or idiots that trust the first human they see to not kill them. Also, is it just me, or do most of them evolve into a human-ish Form way too fast? I mean what is the point of a monster MC if the guy is practically just an overpowered human? Well, after like about 3 years I am kinda running out of good stories, so I'm gonna try to make one myself. It's probably gonna be pretty bad to be honest, but it has no harem so it is already better than 3/4 of novels out there. And I haven't even started yet! But to be serious now: The story is about a pretty lazy guy who reincarnates as a sloth....I haven't really planned more for now... well, good luck to me I guess. Also I am not sure if I want this to have blue screens yet... I mean they look pretty neat but personally I'm kind of sick of them. PS: If you wondered, no I am not the person that took the photo of a sloth with sunglasses...god, that dude must be living the Life...
