Chapter 72 - Arc 10 - Final Planet - Part 3
10 years ago, planet Eir:
Two being stood on top of the hills - far away from the town - and looked down upon the fantasy-like town as they talked. They could not be seen by anyone or anything.
“So why did you call me here, my queen?”
“I can’t manipulate his emotions!”
“I see...”
One of them was a woman and the other one was a man.
Two beings who have been messing with Nazar for a while.
“Hm, interesting. Why is that?”
“I… I don’t know.”
“Aren’t you the “real Goddess”? Shouldn’t you know simple things such as these?”
“Don’t talk to me like that you pathetic mag--”
She trailed off as she remembered something.
Last time she called him a maggot, he got annoyed and hurt her.
“Respect is a two-way street, my queen. You have to give respect to get respect.”
She sighed heavily.
“If I can’t manipulate his emotions… We have already lost. So, we need to reverse--”
“Not possible. He is out of everyone’s view, including Arosus. I believe he might have gotten an upgrade.”
“Oh?”
“It’s a theory of mine, but I think his meeting with Emily did not...”
“Wait, Emily?!”
Ignoring her, he continued, “Go the way we predicted.”
“How?”
“I believe they went to their original state. She helped unlock his potential. And now… Long story short, I don’t think we can mess around with him as we please. So...”
“So?”
“You were right, my queen. I should have listened to you.”
She had no idea what she was talking about, but she seemed proud.
“We need to use that personality of his and push him. Now, go and tell him while I manipulate that personality of his.”
“Okay.”
“But if that doesn’t work...”
She sighed.
“I guess we will have to give up.”
She laughed bitterly.
“Hm, I guess so. But we still have another trick up our sleeve.”
“Her.”
“Yes, her.”
“Failure might be the only option with him but…”
The other being smiled thinly.
“I don’t lose either.”
The queen looked at him on reflex. She felt a chill run down her body when she looked at him.
“Anyway, that’s why we changed our plans slightly and put him here. We need to test him out here. This is a golden opportunity. So, what if we cannot mess around with him on an emotional and mental level?”
“...??”
“We can test him out here. Test out his powers. Test his will. Test his mind. How he thinks. And more.”
“I thought you already know that?”
“I do. But a first-hand experience will be very helpful for you.”
“Ahh...”
The other being started to vanish.
“Take your sweet time, my queen. I have done my part. I have made sure that all of his high-level powers are rendered useless here.”
She felt somewhat annoyed at that but she also knew that it was necessary.
“He is yours.”
Vanishing into thin air, the queen of Virrasil was left alone.
“Now then...”
Taking a deep breath, she moved.
This could be her last chance.
If she fails, she might as well drop off from the game.
She has another trick up her sleeve, but will that even work against him?

8 years ago, planet Eir:
After being in the sun for two years, Nazar finally opened his eyes.
Standing naked in the sun, he thought to himself, (My nanites… It has been completely destroyed Without a power source, it couldn’t survive. Without a power source, it could easily sustain itself up to six months. And I got rid of my powers...)
He looked around.
(I think I need to upgrade them.)
He analysed the sun.
However, he did not find anything. It was as if the sun hadn’t aged a day.
(How…?)
Nazar sighed and then analysed his own body.
(Two years have passed, huh?)
He flew away from the sun and towards the beautiful world before him.
All this time, his eyes might have been closed, but he was still thinking. He thought about how to leave this world but nothing came to his mind. He used that time to analyse everything but it was useless.
After a short while, he reached the planet.
He noticed that he did not have clothes, so he made some clothes for himself the moment he landed in this world.
He sat on top of the mountain and sighed heavily.
(Shut up!)
For the last two years, he has constantly been hearing noises.
(All of you!)
However, the voices in his head didn’t stop.
They all sounded angry.
(It wasn’t my fault. I… Just shut up! All of you before I kill you.)
But the voices didn’t stop.
He sighed again.
Sitting there, he just listened to the voices in his head in an annoyed manner for days.
After days and days of bickering, they finally shut up.
As they did, he made up his mind and went and met the one person who he knows here. He is hoping she will give him an answer.
Under a large tree, near the town, a woman was sitting under it.
“Oh...”
With a heavy heart, he went closer to her.
“Didn’t expect to see you here again, Nazar.”
“Yeah, me neither.”
With a snow-like face, purple eyes and silver hair, it was a woman known as Rina Greenphord. She was currently sitting under a large tree on top of the hills.
Nazar stood near her and looked at the town.
“I hope I didn’t offend with what I said the last time we met.”
“No, not really. Just surprised.”
“Would you really call that surprise?”
“Hm.”
Nazar felt the cold breeze under the summer sun on his face.
“Say, Rina...”
She looked at him for the first time since he got here.
“What exactly is this planet?”
Confused, she tilted her head a little.
“I am afraid I don’t understand the question.”
“Forget I asked.”
“Hm?”
“Nevermind that… Has anything happened since the last time I was here?”
She shook her head as she looked at the town beneath her.
“Interesting...”
“How long has it been since the last time we saw each other?”
“Two years, I think?”
“I see...”
The air between them was rather awkward because of what happened last time.
Last time they met, she confessed to Nazar.
(This is really awkward.) He thought to himself.
To avoid the awkward situation, Nazar looked around in quiet.
After a while, he had nothing to do so, he just stared at the town too.
(It feels a little weird… I feel a little bad for her… But hey, it’s not my fault.)
While Nazar was in the sun, he did not just sit there and do nothing. He had been analysing this world and the sun subconsciously.
(The gravity of the planet doesn’t seem to weird. Neither does its magnetic fields. The sun rays shine… Hydrogen atoms are what makes our sun. But this… It’s not made from hydrogen atoms. It’s made from...)
He ran many scenarios in his head but none gave him an answer.
“It’s made from carbon, oxygen and krypton atoms, instead. It’s also much, much, much hotter than our sun and has a far greater gravitational pull - which isn’t the oddest thing about it.”
“Huh?”
He had forgotten that he was speaking out loud right now, so Rina heard him and looked at him with a confused look on her face.
“The atomic structure of it… I just don’t understand it.”
Rina watched Nazar with a confused look on her face.
“There are no stars, planets, moon, or anything like that. It’s just as if its this planet and the sun.”
He did not understand this place at all. This isn’t his universe. It’s is nothing like his universe.
“There is nothing here except for this sun and this planet. Odd.”
“Nazar?”
Hearing her sound, his thoughts broke off and he looked at her.
“Tell me… What kinds of creatures live here?”
She was surprised but the sudden question but answered anyway.
“Humans, elves, dryads, werebeasts - fox people, cat people, and more - fairies, dragons, mermaids, goblins, and more. There are more but I haven’t seen them yet. So...” she said as she smiled and scratched her cheek nervously.
“I see...”
(So, a fantasy planet - which I already knew. With all those kinds of creatures in it. They all seem to live here. But...)
“Has there ever been a conflict between the different creatures?”
She stroked her chin as she thought.
“If I recall correctly, there was a big war between the different species thousands of years ago. But the battle between the Gods and the demons united us. After defeating those two species, our world has always been at peace. We have lived in harmony.”
“And space…?”
She shook her head before he could finish.
“There were stars. Bright stars in the dark space. The moon too. But… I don’t know what happened. It suddenly vanished a few decades ago. They were gone. And only our planet and our sun stayed behind.”
“Was there ever any communication with aliens?”
“Aliens…?”
“People from other worlds?”
“Just the Gods and the demons. But that’s it.”
“I see...”
It reminded him of Earth a little.
Humans have yet to make contact with aliens or travel to another planet. Of course, he doesn’t count himself and a few other people in this. They are an exception.
(Could it be encased inside a barrier like Earth was?)
He soon dismissed that idea because if it was encased, he would have noticed it.
Not coming up with any logical conclusions, Nazar scratched his face with his fingers and blood spurted out of it.
“This doesn’t make sense… Ah.”
Nazar looked at Rina again, who was looking at him and cringing because of the blood.
“How old are you?”
“I lost count a long time ago… Hundreds of years ago.”
“Hm?”
Nazar analysed her physiology and she wasn’t older than 25 years.
“Weird...”
He took a deep breath.
“Well, whatever.” With a newfound determination, he said, “I need to get back to my universe.”
လလလ
Weeks passed. And then months. And then years. It has been seven years since he came to this world. He had searched every corner of this world and the sun. He also explored most of the dark space but could not find anything. He couldn’t find a way back home.
He sat under the large tree near the town and sighed heavily.
He was clueless. He couldn’t find anything. He couldn’t go back to his universe.
“This world is weird...”
It’s always sunny here. It’s always summer here.
“The water is made from carbon and helium atoms. The ocean… It’s full of mythical creatures such as mermaids…………… The hell?!?!”
Nazar held his head in his hands.
“These people use magic but fucking hell, there is no magic here. How is that even possible?”
Under the hot sunny summer day, with the breeze hitting his hair, he heard footsteps and looked up.
“Hi,” he said.
“What are you doing here?”
“Trying to think.”
“You have been thinking for years now. Maybe do something about this?”
In the last few years, Nazar and Rina had come closer friends. He also made friends with most people in the town and they have accepted him as one of their own.
“So, what brings you out here?”
Nazar lied back down on the green grass.
“I just saw you, so I came over to see what you are up to.”
“Oh...”
“Are you… Are you sure you can’t go back to your world? I know you have been trying… But are you sure you are trying as hard as you should be?”
Nazar sighed
“Yeah, sadly.”
She felt somewhat relieved.
“You have a family there, right? You don’t talk about them at all.”
He nodded.
“And friends. And a girlfriend. And a whole empire.”
“”Girlfriend”…?” Rina was not sure what he meant by that.
“A lover.”
“Ah...”
She felt pain in her chest, which she couldn’t explain.
“Then you better get to her… them back faster,” Rina forced out those words.
“I am trying… but this place is just too weird. I can’t seem to locate my own universe from here. It’s too… I don’t know, weird? Nothing here makes sense.”
“Is that so?”
For some strange reasons, she felt a little happy within. But she did not show it on her face.
“I can’t even use my powers properly here. The universe here is different. Calculations are… hard...”
Nazar suddenly sat up.
“Calculations!”
He sounded annoyed.
“The numbers are completely different...”
He shook his head.
“Yes, the numbers are different but powers work differently too… The powers here are more thought based than number based, perhaps? Hopefully not, because that would be rather annoying.”
He looked down at the ground as he thought.
“My powers are acting up… I can barely reach light speed sometimes. It took me days to get to the sun and burnt… !!”
Nazar looked at Rina with wide eyes.
“Say...”
Rina had no idea what was going on, so once he looked at her with fierce eyes, she tried to avoid her gaze.
“Do people die here?”
“...”
She looked at him.
“...” Tilting her head in a confused manner, she said, “Um, what?”
“Do people die here?”
She nodded.
“I think so.”
“You think so?”
“Well...” she thought about her answer. “No one has died in the last few decades.”
"Few decades…?"
Nazar’s eyes widened.
“Emily said--”
He shook his head and dismissed the idea.
“That’s not possible...” He sounded very unsure. “Right?”
He thought of something but did not want to accept it.
လလလ
Now, back in his universe, Nazar floated above planet Jabalot.
“This empire...”
He smiled thinly.
“Has run its course.”
Moving faster than the speed of light, he flew towards the planet. Solace followed him closely.
“You will destroy the whole planet if you don’t slow down.”
Nazar scoffed.
“You do your part, Solace. Let me do mine.”
Nearing the planet, he was faced with aggression from the planet.
(My powers are the same as they were. Everything is the same. I can use my powers perfectly fine. But!)
He purposefully went slower than usual to attract their attention.
“I need to test my powers. I need to be 1,000% sure that they are working well. I need to be 1,000% sure about my current power levels and limitations.”
