Chapter 71 - Arc 10 - Final Planet - Part 2

10 years ago, Planet Eir:

Nazar flew threw a dark portal in the centre of the universe and ended up on the peaceful and beautiful planet known as Eir.

Nazar looked back and noticed that Solace and Omegan were not here with him.

“Hm, I guess they ended up in another place? Or were blocked from entering this place? I wouldn’t be surprised if its the latter.”

Both of them are powerful individuals and they can survive being thrown somewhere else. So, that didn’t bother him.

But something else did.

Right now, that odd disturbance he felt was gone now.

Landing near the town which was covered in walls, Nazar sighed.

“There is something different… Just what was it that I sensed? It felt like the normal disturbance but something was slightly different.”

Nazar jumped up and looked around.

The town was the same and so was everything else on the planet.

“Damn it!”

Suddenly, he saw someone on top of the hills, near the town.

She was wearing a black dress with a mask on her face.

It was a black mask that even covered her eyes. The mask had a complex symbol made from energy in it.

The same symbol can be seen behind her throne in Virrasil - a long, long time ago.

The symbol consists of a triangular shape inside a circle made of a dragon, with an eagle-like creature sitting on top of the circle. There is also an arrow piercing something inside the triangular shape.

Inside the triangular shape, it is a circular world with chess pieces on it here and there.

The circular planet is also covered by another circular shape like the rainbow but instead, it's made of red energy.

The symbol has many colours which change regularly but the red energy doesn't.

Her dress is also not a normal dress.

Upon closer inspection, Nazar noticed that it has energy running through it. It cannot be seen by a naked eye.

The straps of the black dress are made from black energy which Nazar cannot explain. The dress is made from some sort of molecules which he cannot explain either.

Either way, it's quite a beautiful dress with a lot of decorations made from energy.

Nazar knew who she was but for the first time, he saw a glimpse of her beautiful silver hair and snow like white skin.

Seeing that, his heart skipped a beat.

(Rina…?!)

Rina Greenphord. The only person Nazar knows in this world.

He immediately looked back at the town and noticed Rina , standing in front of her shop, selling fruit.

(Duplicate? Shapeshifting? Illusion? Reality warping?)

He shook his head.

(I can't get a read on this woman's DNA or energy signature. But Rina doesn't have anything…)

Not coming up with any answers, he took a deep breath as he looked at the woman before him.

"Long time, lover♡."

Nazar felt intense pain in his heart as he remembered the things she did to him.

"Still angry about our hot nights♡?"

Raging with anger, Nazar kicked the ground beneath him and shook the world.

"You are no fun," she said in a sulking manner.

Nazar shot himself towards her.

"I always wonder…"

The Queen continued as if Nazar was not shooting himself towards her.

She continued to talk in a mocking tone as she ignored her.

"You can do anything, right? Even become omnipotent, right?"

Nazar clenched his fist as he moved closer to her.

"But you can't make yourself happy, can you? It's rather pathetic. You poor pathetic soul," she said with a very kind voice.

He swung his fist towards her.

But suddenly something happened.

The distance between them increased. Extra bits of space came into existence.

With that, Nazar's sense of gravity failed and fell to the ground.

"You piss me off."

She moved.

"Why can't you be happy with your power? Why do you hate it so much?"

She moved faster than he could notice.

"Do you know how many people would kill for that kind of power? I am ready to sacrifice the whole omniverse for it. Do you hear that, you pathetic little creature?"

Being punched in the stomach, Nazar finally noticed that she had moved.

Being flown away, he tried to get a hold of himself.

She flew near him.

"Why do you want to be normal?"

Nazar heard the question but ignored it.

Seeing that, she clicked her tongue and flew up. Holding Nazar by his hair a few meters above the ground, she asked him another question.

"What is normal?"

Nazar kept quiet.

"Answer me and I will tell you something important about your family. Your father, to be specific."

Nazar's eyes widened.

"Wh-what?"

"Tell me, what does normal mean?"

She sounded very sweet and gentle but also very cold.

"What do--"

"Answer my question, maggot."

Not having another option, he took a deep breath and spoke.

"Not having powers. Not being able to do anything. Having normal friendships. Normal relationships. Normal childhood… Even if I had powers, I wanted to improve over time. Even if I had unlimited power, I would try and take my time and do it under my own free will."

He bit his lip in anger.

She was also angry. But for a different reason.

She always wanted unlimited power in her life. But he has it. It's within his grasp. Yet he hates it. Yet he hates this life.

Overflowing with anger, she wanted to steal his power even more and make it her own.

Who wouldn't want to be omnipotent? Who doesn't want limitless power? Who doesn't want to be the most powerful person ever?

"I don't want to do it because someone forced me to reach that place. Do you have any idea what it's like to not have control of your own life? If that life even worth living?"

"..."

"Is that even life in the first place?! Can you even call such thing life?!?!" He spat out.

For some twisted reasons, she understood.

"What's even the point of it? I am not… Would you live a life like that?"

For some twisted reasons, she sympathised with him.

"I thought I could live a different life. But with you and the dragon involved… I don't think I can have that."

Her body twitched slightly.

"Dragon…?"

"Do you know--"

Not getting the answer she was expecting, she cut off his sentence.

"Anyway, let me tell you my part of the bargain."

Nazar's shoulders tensed up.

He could tell that she was smiling thinly behind that mask of hers.

"Your father…"

He gulped, waiting for her sentence to end.

Anticipation built up within him as his heart started beating faster.

What could she know that he doesn’t? What if its a lie?

He is ready for whatever he tells her.

However, he was not expecting this.

"Is dead☆."

She said in a cheerful voice.

"...."

So many things went through his mind in an instant.

Looking at her in disbelief, he blurted out, "Eh?"

"Your father is dead."

“Did you...”

Nazar’s emotions went out of control.

He always holds back his powers. He has divided his power into nine different forms. But once his emotions go out of control, the boundaries of those forms are broken apart and it becomes one.

So.

What happens when he has all of his powers?

Well, his power levels increase significantly.

In this state, he could fight many people like the Demon King and win.

“Kill him?!”

Suddenly, the skies of the world turned grey.

Thunderstorms struck the world.

The Queen looked up at the sky and said, “Oh?”

Nazar clenched his fist.

He swung his fist but the space between them increased.

However, that did not do anything.

Nazar punched the air.

(This fucking bitch… How fucking dare you?!?! What had he done?)

The dimension warped around his fist, then it was thrown towards her at an unimaginable speed.

She tried dodging it but her movement was restricted.

So, she was punched by a warping dimension in the face and thrown to the other side of the planet.

Without thinking, Nazar moved.

He was not in control of his body. He let his body control him.

Letting the body take control and stop thinking, he could use his powers well in this world

Whenever he came to this world, most of his powers were restricted due to not understanding the nature of this world.

“To think...”

His eyes welled up.

“The shield failed…”

He screamed as he moved towards her.

He moved faster than the speed of light. He moved so fast that everything was frozen.

He swung his fist once more. He swung it once more.

“You are like a child...”

The Queen stood before him and suddenly, Nazar stopped moving too.

Nazar was not sure what was happening.

He was standing face to face against the woman on the ground.

The energy on the symbol was different. It was becoming darker and darker.

“I didn’t kill him. He died because of you.”

“Huh…?”

“Your father got into an accident. Died a normal death. If only you were there, you could have saved him.”

Nazar looked down as he tried took control of his emotions and his mind. He did not let his body take any more control.

Nazar thought about what she was talking about. When did his father die? Why did he die? How did he die?

“Anyway, he died because you weren’t there to save him. He died on a hospital bed.”

“But I saw him...”

“You didn’t think he was dead. You couldn’t believe it. So, the universe wanted to keep you happy and made it appear as if he was still around.”

Nazar thought back to every time he saw his father. His mother acknowledged him many times. So...

“Those who see him, don’t see him after you look away. So, once they see him, they also forget that he is dead.”

Nazar wanted to throw up because of what he has been doing to his family.

Even if they don’t remember, he is still doing something terrible.

“How does it feel to know that you have been doing horrible things--”

She suddenly trailed off once she noticed something.

"I couldn’t manipulate his emotions at all..." She whispered to herself. "This is… worrying."

But deep down, she felt something else. .

(Becoming omnipotent…) she smiled as she thought.

She was excited.

(Seems exhilarating!)

Not caring about what she said, Nazar turned off his emotions and moved.

And so did she.

“How do you know that he is dead? What if--”

“If you don’t believe me, unlock your vision and you will see if I--- Crap!”

She noticed what she had said.

“Thank you for the tip.”

The Queen kicked the air and a deafening sound rang out.

The shockwave from the kick threw away Nazar into a nearby mountain.

(That shockwave could have easily destroyed everything on this planet… She is keeping her attacks in check?!?!) Nazar thought to himself.

Nazar forced his body to stand up.

(What is her plan?)

But another gust of wind destroyed the other mountain.

Soon, thousands of debris fell on him, confining him.

Not too far away from here, the Queen laughed bitterly.

“Failure. Failure. Failure!”

She kicked the ground, the surface of the green hill was swept away and was replaced by a grey one.

“This sounds like a failure… I just need a little more time… Two months at best. By then, the dragon will be here…”

She stabbed her fingers into her face and ripped apart the mask.

“The dragon… I keep failing and failing and failing. Just come quickly, will you? Please! For once...”

She tasted blood as she bit her lip.

Despite feeling a lot of negative emotions such as anger, sadness, and disappointment, she also felt something else.

She was feeling excited deep down.

On the inside, she said, “This is exhilarating.”

This is what she was looking for. She didn't just want his power but she also wanted to the excitement of battling against an opponent whom you can never truly win against. She wanted to break him and be the first one.

She might actually achieve that. That filled her with a lot of joy and happiness.

But on the outside, she said something else.

She showed negative emotions. She was reeking of failure.

“If I can’t… If I fail one more…”

Breathing heavily, she waved her hand and the hills and mountains were restored.

Nazar was still stuck inside one of the mountains.

“Just once, I want to win. But it seems impossible now… I can’t even hurt him emotional-- Wait!”

She looked up to the sky with newfound determination.

“This time I will win!! I cannot give up this quickly.”

She clenched her fist.

“Don’t lose hope, princess,” she said as she smiled.

And just like that, she vanished into thin air, leaving Nazar under the mountains. He had not heard anything she said to herself.

Of course, he could but he was too busy thinking about something else.

Days passed and Nazar finally decided to leave the mountain.

Standing on top of the mountain, he thought to himself, (Is he really dead…?)

He didn't want to accept what she told him.

He didn't want to accept the fact that his father was dead.

He could have saved him. He really could. Only if he was there when they needed him.

(No...)

He shook his head.

(I can’t accept this. He isn’t dead...)

Suddenly, he realised something and hanged his shoulders low.

“So, that odd energy I was feeling at home was...”

He clenched his fist.

“Shit!”

Kicking the ground, he shot himself up towards the sky.

“Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? WHY?!”

His eyes welled up.

“Where was I? What the fuck was I doing?”

Nazar always felt a little fear around his parents, but even then, he felt intense pain in his heart.

(My memories… I had replaced it with fake memories… But now I brought them back and she was telling the truth.)

Deep down, he hoped that she was telling lies. But after restoring his own memories, all of his hopes were crushed.

She was telling the truth and that hurt him even more.

“Arrrghghghg!!”

He screamed at the empty space and flew towards the sun.

In a short while, he reached the sun.

Cowering in the middle of the sun, he closed his eyes.

Feeling intense pain within, he wanted to change that.

So.

He turned off his powers.

Being constantly burned by the sun, he thought the inner pain will go away.

He stayed in the sun for a long time.

Now, back in his universe, Nazar came back from heaven.

“Are you okay?”

Solace asked him a question immediately.

“Of course. Why would I not be?”

The Nazar devoid of emotions annoyed her.

“Anyway, Omegan wants to talk to you. About everything that happened today.”

“Okay.”

Nazar flew away.

“Solace, will you stand by my side no matter what I do?”

Solace, flying closely behind him was extremely confused.

“It depends, to be honest.”

“I see...”

“I will stand by anything you do except for...”

Nazar looked back at her.

“Hurting yourself. Whether it's emotional, mental or physical.”

“That’s good to hear.”

A thin emotionless smile appeared on his face.

“Now I can discuss my plan with you.”

“Okay… What if I had rejected?”

“...”

Nazar did not reply.

Despite not getting a reply, she knew the answer.

"Death, I see..." she said very slowly.
