Chapter 70 - Arc 10 - Final Planet - Part 1

Friday, 12th of June:

In the dark of space near the centre of the universe, the universe got ripped open as Nazar walked out of it.

However, he was different.

Devoid of emotions, he smiled thinly and said to Solace, “Now, let’s get to work.”

“Nazar...”

The leader of the third dimensional Gods, Omegan, looked at Nazar suspiciously.

“What happened there?”

(So, only 2 minutes have passed in this world?) Nazar thought. (10 years of that is only 2 minutes here. So, she messed around with time there. Or perhaps here...)

He quickly dismissed that thought.

(I don't sense any changes to time in this universe.)

“...Nothing.”

“Huh?”

“Anyway, you don’t need to worry about that world anymore. It’s...”

The emotionless Nazar averted his gaze and looked at Solace.

“Dead.”

“What?”

Omegan blurted out in surprise.

“What do you mean by that “world”?”

“It was another multiverse.”

Omegan seemed surprised.

“I will tell you the rest later. First, I need to deal with something else. Something personal, if you don’t mind, Omegan.”

“Personal…?”

Nazar looked at Solace.

“My father… Is it true?”

“What is…?”

Solace was not sure what he was talking about.

“I don’t know what you are talking about.”

“She told me that he is...”

“...What?”

Solace looked through all the data she has on his family.

After a short while, her eyes widened.

“How did I not notice?”

“I see.”

He looked down at himself.

Seeing the scars, he clicked his tongue.

Clothes appeared around him.

“I am going to the afterlife.”

“Oh okay. I will--”

“No.”

“Nazar. Explain--”

Nazar looked at Omegan coldly, “Not now.”

Nazar slashed his hand and a doorway to the afterlife opened.

“I will be back soon.”

He changed.

The scar on his eye vanished.

Emotions appeared on his face.

As a warm and gentle smile appeared on his face, he said, “Just wait here for me, Solace.”

Solace and Omegan exchanged glances.

“I called off the Gods a while ago. But...”

Omegan was not sure how to feel about all of this.

He was not sure what to make of this new “multiverse”. He also wondered how the other “world” died.

“Omegan...”

Omegan is the leader of the Omega People. They are energy beings.

They are genderless beings since they are made completely off energy. So, everyone one of them has a personal preference of what gender they want to be when they take their physical form.

Omegan prefers to take the form of a male human.

“I am sorry about all of this.”

Nazar asked Omegan to keep a close eye on this disturbance. So, he caused them quite a bit of trouble when he asked them. And of course, sometimes he can be rude. Like right now.

“He can be hard to deal with sometimes. I will… I apologise on his behalf.”

“At this point, we are all used to it by now. But then again...”

Omegan let out a long breath.

“He is after all our creator. The ultimate being.”

Omegan is one of the few people who knows Nazar’s true nature.

“But even then, he needs to learn to respect others. At least as your elder.”

Omegan laughed.

“You are funny as usual, Solace.”

“Why thank you.”

“But don’t worry, I don’t mind it.”

“I see. Thank you for that, Omegan.”

Solace smiled sweetly at him.

“I shall get going now.”

Omegan was about to leave but he said something else.

“Tell Nazar to meet me soon. We need to discuss something. Especially about what happened today.”

Solace nodded at his serious tone.

“I will let him know.”

Omegan vanished into thin air but Solace waited for Nazar.

Heaven:

Nazar came to one of the heavens frantically.

This is where the souls of dead people end up.

Heavens are guarded by barriers set up by the angels. No one can pass these barriers except for souls which are supposed to be heaven. Nazar can pass through the barriers due to him being from a higher dimensional plane of existence.

If any problem occurs, the angels will take care of it.

Coming into one of the heavens, Nazar looked around.

Moving faster than the eye could see, Nazar searched the heavens.

However, he did not find what he was looking for.

“AARIN!!”

Shouting on top of his lungs, he called someone extremely powerful and someone very close to him.

Aarin, the angel of love.

But does he know what happened to her recently?

“AARIN!!”

He shouted and shouted and shouted.

But Aarin did not show up.

(Where the hell…?)

But above him, someone else showed up.

“What brings you here, Nazar?”

Looking up, he saw an angel with long black hair and black eyes.

She had a muscular yet feminine figure.

Her perfectly balanced muscles, breast size and beautiful legs made her extremely attractive. In the past, Nazar had a lot of indecent thoughts about her.

But then again, Nazar had a lot of indecent thoughts of people he met in his life before meeting Laura.

He would even create a mental reality where he would do a lot of things with that person.

Of course, no one besides Aarin ever knew about that bad habit of his.

“Anaiel, where is Aarin?”

Her name was Anaiel, the Angel of Pride.

She is a high-class angel. And an old friend of Aarin.

“Aarin...” Anaiel averted her gaze nervously. “She is somewhere else at the moment.”

Nazar clicked his tongue.

“Anyway, what brings you here?”

“It’s about my father.”

Her expression became serious.

“I see. So, you finally accepted it.”

His eyes widened once she confirmed it.

“You don’t seem too sad,” she said half-jokingly.

“I found out about it 10 years ago.”

“....How?”

“Long story.”

Nazar looked around uncomfortably.

“Can I… Can I see him?”

It’s against the rules of heaven to have a living person meet a dead one.

“I will make an exception this once,” she said with a gentle smile.

“Thank you, Anaiel.”

Anaiel flew away and Nazar followed her closely.

After a short while, Nazar landed near a beach where an old man with black hair and grey eyes was sitting down on a chair under a tall green tree.

He was wearing white shorts which reached up to his knees and a grey sleeveless shirt with white vertical stripes.

He was holding a juice glass in his hand.

Nazar went near him while Anaiel kept her long distance.

“Dad...”

The old looked at him and widened his eyes.

“Nazar…?”

Nazar’s eyes welled up.

“Wh-what are you…? Son, what is going on?”

His father, James, was worried that he might have died.

“...sorry. I am so sorry.”

Nazar’s voice cracked up.

“I am so sorry. I wish...”

His father stood up, still confused.

“I should have been there.”

Streams of tears came pouring down on his face.

“I could have saved...”

He lost strength in his knees and fell to the ground as uncontrollable tears streamed down from his eyes.

“I am sorry.”

“Nazar?”

He placed his hand on Nazar's shoulder as he crouched down.

“So, what happened to you? Did you… Did you…?”

He couldn’t bring himself to say it.

Seeing that, Anaiel broke her promise of staying away and sent James a telepathic message.

(“No. He isn’t dead.”)

Hearing the voice in his head, he looked up at her.

(“In fact, he can’t die.”)

He was confused but she did not say anything else.

Looking back at Nazar, he said, “Hey, it’s okay. Death is… Natural.”

Nazar looked up to him with teary eyes.

In the original world, he hated him. He feared him.

So, even in the current timeline, he kept his distance. But that doesn’t mean he didn’t care about him or love him.

This was his father.

“Yes, but I am not a human! So. So. So. I could have--”

“Calm down, son. Take a moment and then we will talk.”

He was not sure what Nazar was talking. He is confused as to why Nazar is here and why he doesn’t consider himself a human anymore.

Nazar bit his lip so hard that he tasted his own blood.

“I am sorry… I should have been there.”

His father hugged him tightly as he cried.

Even though she told him about his death 10 years ago. He had a lot of time to cope with it.

But even then, he still hadn't come to terms with his father's death.

After a short while, his father broke the silence.

"If you are not dead, how did you get here?"

Nazar wiped the tears off his face and looked at him.

"I… I have powers."

"Powers?" He seemed surprised at that. "So, what can you do?"

Nazar chuckled sadly.

"Everything."

His father laughed.

“Come on, you are not God. You are a human.”

Nazar did not refute that.

Why would he? He always tries to ignore his true nature. He considers himself a human.

“I can do almost everything.”

He also remembered that at the moment, he doesn’t stand a chance against the queen of Virrasil.

For the last ten years (for Nazar), she had nothing but mess around with him one way or another.

“This is somewhat surprising. But I still have trouble believing you have powers.”

His father stood up.

“It’s kind of hard to believe that a human has powers.”

A worried expression appeared on his face.

“Are you sure you are not dead?”

Nazar laughed as he stood up.

“You are in heaven. There is an angel standing,” Nazar pointed towards Anaiel. “And no, I did not die. I merely crossed the barriers of the two worlds and came here.”

“Wow,” James seemed impressed. “That’s… That’s pretty good, I guess.”

He was still not sure how to feel about all of this.

“Do they know?”

“Hm?”

“Your mother and siblings, I mean.”

“Ah.”

Nazar lowered his gaze.

“Yes. I only told them a few weeks ago.”

“I see.”

James seemed somewhat relieved.

“How is your mother? And Aeron? And Emma? And Angela?”

“They are doing great. All of them.”

“Well, that’s great to hear. As long as they are happy and enjoying their lives.”

A serious expression appeared on his face.

“Keep them safe, Nazar.”

“I will. They won’t get hurt.”

Seeing Nazar so determined, he breathed a sigh of and smiled.

“So, how’s life in the afterlife? If you don’t like it, I will take you somewhere better. Or maybe bring you back to the land of the living.”

His father laughed.

“So and so. That angel was kind enough to bring me here. If not, I would have gone to hell.”

“Angel…?”

Nazar looked back and glanced at Anaiel.

She shrugged.

Nazar smiled and nodded at her as a way to thank her.

“So...”

Nazar turned and looked back at his father.

“Is everything okay? Why did you seem so… I don’t know, but sad and somewhat scared?”

“Ah… Not much. It’s just...”

Nazar bit his lip as he remembered what happened in the other world.

“I see," seeing the complex expression on his face, James did not want to ask him any more questions.

“I know it’s selfish… But can you forgive me?”

His father looked at Nazar on reflex.

“...Huh?”

“Can you forgive me? If I was there, you would have been still with mom. If I was there, you would have been alive now. If only I told you guys about my powers a long time ago and something might have changed. If only---”

“As I said before, I am human. We are humans,” he said seriously. “We die. It’s only natural. So what if I died early? Everyone dies. And even if you have saved me, I would have died sooner or later.”

“...”

“Leave things to progress naturally, son. It’s the only way.”

He looked down.

“And I am certain the reason you kept it a secret is that you had your reasons. We all have secrets. And we have our reasons for them.”

He smiled at Nazar.

“So, I am sure you had your reasons. You don’t have to tell me. Or at least not now. But be careful in the future. Don’t keep secrets that can damage your life or your relationships.”

“Okay. I will take that into account.”

“That’s good, that’s good.”

After talking to him, Nazar felt relieved and all the sadness was washed away from him.

“I still remember the first day you were born. When I saw your red eyes. When I told her about it, she was so scared.”

(I… I remember that moment too.) Nazar thought to himself.

“We knew from that moment that you were… unique. We knew you were not like every other human around us. And then when your hair came out… It was white. We knew that something was different about you.”

In the original timeline, when they suspected that something was different about him, they experimented on him.

“So, we said to each other: just let the boy keep his secrets. When he said ready, he will tell us.”

Nazar did not tell them because he was scared that history would repeat itself. He knew that they were being controlled back then but even then, he kept it a secret.

“I am really happy that you are finally ready.”

He looked at Nazar with a wide smile.

“Ready to share your life with the rest of them completely. Ready to not hide from them anymore.”

He felt a little guilty for keeping it a secret until now but he knows that everyone close to him understands why he kept it a secret until this long. But even then, he feels guilty.

Imagine how different his life would have been if he had told them?

“If you are ready to share your life with them, make sure not to keep any more secrets. Well, of course, not big ones like these.”

Nazar bitterly smiled at him.

“They might be able to help you. Of course, not physically but emotionally and mentally.”

Solace also said something similar to him.

Nazar recalled the many dead timelines in which the queen of Virrasil killed his family and loved ones to keep him isolated.

“I see. Thanks for the advice, dad.”

"I have to say, I was not expecting your secret to be this big. I mean powers... Wow."

Nazar laughed.

"Well..."

“Leaving that aside, how is life treating you?”

Nazar’s bitter smile vanished.

“I would say somewhere in the middle. A lot of good stuff and quite a few bad stuff too.”

Nazar sighed lightly.

“I guess the good and the bad balance each other out.”

“Well, hopefully, things will get better for you.”

“Hopefully...”

Compared to his father’s enthusiastic comment, Nazar’s was just the opposite.

“Do you know what worried us the most when it came to you?”

“Hm?”

“We thought you would always be a loner. We always thought you would never be close to us. Or have friends. Or a lover.”

Nazar smiled bitterly again.

“When we found out that you had found some friends - Chris and Harry, we couldn’t believe it. I mean, who would even believe something like that?”

If it wasn’t for Solace, he would have not been friends with them either.

Most of the work was done by Solace and that’s how he got close to them.

(Can it be…?)

Realising it, his eyes widened. But only for an instant and was not noticed by his father.

(Was Solace being manipulated? Which lead me to become friends with them? Then meeting Laura? And then later Alice being saved……. She was being manipulated from that long ago?)

He threw away his thoughts and focused on what was in front of him for now.

“Still haven’t found a lover, have you?”

“As unbelievable as it sounds, I actually have.”

His father was extremely surprised.

“I don’t believe you.”

"Come on man, chicks dig me."

Nazar cringed at his own joke.

“”Chicks” don’t “dig” loners like you, son.”

“And how do you know?”

“Because I was a loner like you before I met your mother.”

“In this episode of “How I Met Your Mother”, you are going to tell me how you met my mother, right?”

He shook his head.

“No, I don’t think I will. You can ask your mother.”

“”How I Met Your Father”, huh?”

“I didn’t take you for someone who watches sitcoms, son.”

Nazar shrugged.

“I might have seen one or two.”

They both laughed.

After a short while, Nazar said, “I will come back again soon. But for now, I need to go and do something.”

“Sure.”

Nazar started to walk away.

“Nazar...”

He paused.

“Be careful, okay? No matter how powerful you are, there are some things even you might not be able to solve. So… Be careful.”

He had deduced that Nazar might be extremely powerful if he can go to the afterlife as he wishes and can bring him back. Of course, he also thought that there is a possibility of someone else helping him.

“And don’t let go of those who love you. You have been away from us and them a lot. So, don’t throw them away again. Please.”

“Okay. Got it.”

Nazar walked towards Anaiel.

“Thanks, Anaiel.”

“You’re welcome.”

Nazar’s form changed once more.

Emotions and expressions vanished from his body.

Scars appeared all over his body.

Seeing the scar on his face - it was as if his eye was slashed in half - Anaiel widened her eyes. However, she did not question him.

“If you see Aarin, please let her know I was here.”

“Okay.”

Nazar started to float.

“So, what happened to you?”

Nazar looked at her and then towards the sky.

“....A lot.”

He flew away as he thought back to what happened in the other world.
