Chapter 69 - Reawakening - Part 10

Friday, 11th of June - Plymouth, Earth:

Nazar and his family were talking near the pool. Nazar was explaining what he had been doing and he was telling them about the wider universe. Suddenly, the topic drifted somewhere else.

Nazar was standing next to the pool.

Emma was sitting near the pool, with her feet dangling in the pool.

“So, you want to be a grandmother?” Nazar said as he looked at his mother blankly. “And out of everyone...”

Near the pool was a metallic table with an umbrella on it. His mother, brother and Angela were sitting at the table and drinking cold drinks.

“Yes, I am asking you. I have given up hope on them,” Aya said as she smiled. “So, I thought I would ask you. Get married. Have a child. So, I don’t die without seeing my grandchildren like your...”

She said something but Nazar couldn’t make it out.

Nazar tilted his head in confusion but ignored her.

“Anyway, why not them?”

“Dude, there is no way I would go through that amount of pain,” Emma said as she took bite off her ice cream.

Seeing that, Nazar narrowed his eyes.

“How can you even take a massive bite off ice cream?”

The ice cream evaporated.

Emma frowned.

“I hate you.”

Emma picked up some water from the pool with her hand and splashed on Nazar’s face.

The water evaporated immediately.

“Anyway,” Nazar looked at Aeron and Angela. “What about them?”

“Errr...”

Aeron scratched the back of his head and looked away.

“Ahem,” Angela smiled as she crossed her arms in front of her chest. “I am a little too young unlike certain someone here who is older than his parents.”

Nazar sighed.

“So, that’s how you came up with that idea, mom?!”

“It’s still weird getting used to finding out my son being older than me,” she said as she rested her chin on her hand and sighed, pretending to look sad. "And since you are this old, you don't want to die alone, right? Just get married and have a child already."

Nazar's cheek twitched.

Looking at his father, Nazar said, “You too?”

His father nodded slowly.

“I see...”

Nazar looked at the pool again.

“Look, some stuff happened. And I needed… Speaking of, what did you guys think of your stay in Chias?” Asked excitedly as he changed the subject.

“Why do you have a floating city?”

“Heh,” Nazar smiled thinly. “Because I can.”

Emma rolled her eyes.

“If I had powers, I would make cooler stuff.”

“Well, you don’t. So...”

Looking down at her with a smug look, she elbowed him in the leg.

“Cunt.”

“Let’s forget that. I need to know...”

“Kn--”

“When are you getting married?”

Nazar looked at her blankly.

“Never.”

“If you don’t, arranged marriage is also an option.”

“Emma, shut up.”

“I already know a perfect person.”

“Oho? Who is that?”

Nazar looked at her with great interest in his eyes.

“Her name is...”

Emma smiled thinly.

“Emily.”

"Never."

Emma sighed.

"Anyway, what happened to that smoking hot guy? The guy in the armour."

"He has a name and it's Baros."

"Yeah, him. What happened to him?"

Nazar shrugged.

"Nothing?"

"Did you kill him?"

"Why would I do that?"

"Uh, don't know but you seem a little dodgy."

Nazar stared down at her blankly.

"You are annoying. I will literally throw you to the other side of the multiverse."

"Ooh. Scary."

Nazar laughed.

"You are lucky I am not ruthless. Because I would have already done it by now."

"Is that so?"

Nazar nodded.

"Let's leave that aside…"

Nazar looked back at his brother.

"How do powers work in this world?"

"Depends on what kind of power you are talking about. There are many forms of powers. Cosmic, magic, and more. And they all work differently."

"Magic is real?"

"Magic is real?"

"Magic is real?"

Seeing them (except for Emma) say that in unison, Nazar facepalmed.

"Magic has been a thing for thousands of years. And I told you about the angel too. So, that should give you an idea, right?"

They looked at each other blankly.

"Let's see… People like the prophets and the saints held immeasurable power."

"Wait!" Emma said out loud as he looked at Nazar with a confused look. "I thought you were the first superhuman?"

"I am."

Seeing the confused expressions on their faces, he let out another sigh.

"Okay, so angels were the Supreme One's soldiers. His personal army. Demons were created as a counterbalance."

"Okay?"

"Then you have the 3rd dimensional Gods. They are kind of like angels. They do the same thing as angels but just on a much smaller scale. For example, if an angel of emotion dies, that emotion would vanish from existence. If the Gods of were to die, nothing will change."

"So…"

"What I am saying is, these Gods are kind of like weaker versions of the angels and get powered by their assigned...uh, thing. But if they were to die, nothing will change."

"And their purpose is?"

"To help the citizens of their universe. Angels… They are higher beings and wouldn't worry just about anyone. So, these Gods are created to help the people of this universe. Before you ask, each universe has its own Gods. They can hear your prayers and answer them - if they want to, that is."

Emma scratched her head.

"But what does that have to do with Earth? And the prophets you mentioned?"

Nazar looked at her excitedly.

"People like the prophets and the saints were also a creation of the Supreme One. Lucifer created Earth and humanity."

Even though he had told them before, they were still somewhat surprised.

"So, he created people like the prophets - who are basically the 3rd dimensional Gods - to try and keep a close eye on Lucifer's creation. And to try and spread the message that Lucifer is evil and he is the devil. Just so he could take revenge on his son."

"Wait, what?"

"Since it was Lucifer's creation, he couldn't especially mess with them or control them. So, he tried to do it through prophets and saints and similar beings."

"..."

They all looked at each other blankly.

""Ehhh?!""

They said in unison.

For some reasons, Nazar was really excited to share that knowledge with them. He just wanted to show off the knowledge he had obtained.

"So, that's how magic came to this world. No."

Nazar shook his head.

"Magic was always here. But the idea, instructions and spells came to this world via the prophets and saints and similar beings. And that's why they cannot be considered superhumans because they were created by the Supreme One somewhere and then put on this planet."

"But doesn't that mean…?"

Before Aya - his mother could even finish - Nazar knew what she was going to ask, so he held his index finger up, stopping her.

"Yes, I was put in by someone else. But it needed a human parent catalyst. And it couldn't have been anyone. So…"

His mother smiled in a relieved manner.

For some time, she was worried that Nazar was not even her child. So, she felt relived once she heard that.

Nazar suddenly narrowed his eyes.

(Ever since Emily has unlocked my full potential - or some of it - something has been off here. I just can't point it out yet. But what is this uneasiness? And I only feel it when I am around them… What is wrong here?)

As he was thinking, Angela asked another question.

"So, how does magic work?"

"I am glad you asked."

Nazar smiled and continued.

"To use magic, you have to exchange your life force for it."

That seemed to have surprised them.

"You die if you use it too much."

Emma shuddered.

"Why would anyone even use that?"

"Because people are power-hungry? The kind of things they do for power is staggering."

"Can you use magic too?"

Nazar nodded.

"Yes. But I hate it so I can't be asked with it."

"I see… So that's why people haven't been using magic around?"

Nazar laughed.

"You think humans haven't been using magic?"

Emma nodded.

"UK has the highest magic rate on the planet. People like the Royal Knights, MI6, and the Navy has been using it for decades.”

“Royal Knights…?”

”You don’t know them?”

Nazar remembered that there are a lot of things the public does not know about.

“Anyway, Bradley Conglomerates has developed weapons that uses magic.”

“Since they are not living beings...”

“Yep. It doesn’t require the same form of exchange.”

“Why does magic requires life force in return?”

“Firstly, because it leaves a toll on the body. Secondly, to bring in balance. The Supreme One made it so there is some sort of exchange so it’s not abused. If magic did not have a price, the balance of the multiverse would have been off. You could have normal humans fighting angels and such on the same playing field.”

“Ahhh. I see.”

“You can still do it if you have good calculative abilities, but that’s rare.”

"You also mentioned cosmic powers, right?"

Nazar nodded at Angela's question.

“How does that work?”

“Well, there are many different forms of “cosmic” powers. But mostly, cosmic power means harnessing external energies, such as using the energies of the quantum realm. Or energies from other similar sources.”

Nazar waved his hand and a few energy balls appeared before him.

“To use cosmic power - like any power - you need to have exceptional calculative abilities.”

“Oh?”

“Basically, let’s put it this way.”

The energy ball vanished and a light construct appeared.

“If you want to shoot an energy beam...”

In the construct, a drawing of a man appeared. He was holding his hand up.

“If you don’t calculate things such as wind, light, gravity, etc. etc. You won’t be able to shoot the energy beam properly. Energy is not solid. So, to keep it together in a blast, you need to take into account all of these things. If the gravity changes, the energy blast will get messed up and it could lead to the blast being turned into nothing or you could lose control and leak out more energies than necessary.”

“I see...”

“Teleportation and attack negations and attack reversals require the most calculations though. Teleportation… One wrong number and you could kill yourself and perhaps even damage more than just that.”

“That sounds very complicated,” Aeron said with a stiff smile.

“It does,” Nazar replied with a smile. “But after a while, you get used to it.”

“What if you don’t know how to calculate properly?”

“Hmm...”

Nazar scratched his chin as he thought.

“If you can’t, then you cannot use your powers properly.”

“What about angels?”

“Ah, angels...”

The construct vanished.

“Angels, demons, and magic users don’t follow the same rules. Same with Eddie.”

“Eddie?”

Hearing his mother’s question, he was about to answer it but…

“Norse God. The new guy around here.”

Emma answered it with a proud look on her face.

“I know a superhero or two.”

“Good for you, Emma. Want a medal?”

“Yes, please.”

Nazar sighed.

“Anyway, who are those superheroes?”

“Emily, Norse God, and you.”

Nazar looked at her blankly.

“What?”

Suddenly, a gust of wind came and Emma fell to the pool.

“Uhhh… What the fuck, dude?”

Nazar shook his head.

A vortex of wind picked her up from the cold water.

(Mix in a little heat...)

And her clothes were dry.

“Heh.”

The vortex of wind landed her near Nazar.

“I hate you.”

“Heh.”

“Stop laughing!”

Nazar sighed.

“Anyway, let’s get back to the discussion at hand,” Aeron said exasperatedly. “What kind of weapons does Bradley Conglomerates have? And of course, the British government?”

“Well, most weapons developed by that company uses magic as a power source. And that’s why they are so destructive. As for the governments...”

Nazar thought about it.

“They have been using it in fighter jets, submarines and more. They also have magic protected armours for the Royal Knights.”

“Wait, the Royal Knights are real?” Aya said with widened eyes. “I remember someone spoke about it a long time ago but didn’t really take them seriously.”

“Yes, they are. They are highly trained magicians and combatants in silver magical armours. They are faster, stronger, and more durable than most human magicians and soldiers.”

“Huh, seriously?”

“Speaking off… Bradley Conglomerates, they have developed extremely powerful magic-based weapons. I am hoping they will build a planet destroyer. ”

“Why?”

Angela’s quick question made confused.

“Why else? Because I want to see if they are capable of it,” he said as he shrugged. "And would be fun."

“Who can even stop that?”

Nazar laughed.

“I have fought a universe destroyer. A planet destroyer--Eek!”

Suddenly, he felt something soft on his back and two cold hands on his face.

“Oh my, what is going on here?”

“Solace?!”

Solace licked his left cheek.

“What’s up, lover boy? Don’t like me anymore?”

Solace did that because it makes Nazar angry and wanted to see the disgusted reactions on his family’s faces.

“Ugh, Nazar...”

“Come on, son… I thought you had a girlfriend now,” Aya said with a stiff smile. “Isn’t that a little...”

“It’s not what it looks like!”

Nazar punched her in the face with the back of his hand.

“!!”

But it did not do anything.

It should have sent her flying to the other side of the world but she didn’t even budge.

“Big problem,” she whispered in his ear with a serious tone.

Nazar’s body tensed up.

“Is that…?”

He felt it too.

Nazar had turned off most of his powers when coming here. He did not want to be disturbed but this was serious.

He looked at them and said, “I will be back soon.”

Nazar and Solace flew up towards space. Within seconds, they had reached the farthest reaches of the galaxy.

“It’s near the centre of the universe… Just like before,” he said as he gritted his teeth.

Nazar remembered feeling a similar disturbance not too long ago. It lead to some terrible stuff happening to him.

“I need to go...”

He took his energy form.

“Faster!”

As his speed increased, so did Solace’s.

They can teleport there, but it never works. Somehow, he ends up in the wrong place.

Flying in the darks of space, the blues of space, the reds of space, they passed away many different forms of stars and star systems.

As they were flying very fast towards the disturbance, someone called out to him.

“NAZAR!”

Nazar glanced back and saw another being made of energy. He was made from white and light blue energy.

“Don’t enter it. It feels different. It’s--”

“Don’t!”

Nazar increased his speed.

“Not now, Omegan.”

That was Omegan, the leader of the third dimensional Gods. The most powerful God of this universe.

“Listen here!”

Omegan was flying near Nazar right now.

“Don’t enter it. Whatever it is, it's different than before. Can you not feel it?”

“I can. It’s the same but something is different.”

“Exactly!”

“No, something is wrong on the other side.”

A while ago, Nazar had requested Omegan to keep a close eye on the disturbance. So, he knows how it feels. This time it's different.

Neither of them can explain it.

“I am not going--”

He sucked in a breathe.

In the dark of space, something even darker could be seen.

That’s where the disturbance is coming from.

“It’s like a portal...” Solace said slowly.

This is the first time Solace have come this far. This is the first time she saw it.

“I don’t care. Let’s go, Solace.”

Nazar took his original form as he entered the portal.

Omegan and Solace followed.

But something happened.

They were thrown back. It was as if there was a barrier keeping them behind.

“Solace…?”

“Give me a minute. I will know what’s going on. I can get us there.”

Omegan did not just stand around.

“I will call the other Gods. From what I am feeling, this can be very bad… Fusion is required.”

“Yeah… Call them in.”

Omegan called the other Gods.

At the centre of the universe, Planet Omega resides. That’s where the Omega People - the third dimensional Gods - live.

As Omegan called the Gods, Solace continued to analyse the portal.

After two minutes, something happened.

Space before them got ripped apart as if it were a piece of paper.

From it, Nazar came out.

“Nazar…?”

Solace looked at him closely and something was amiss.

“You are…?”

“Been a long time...”

Nazar said with a cold and emotionless voice. It was as if he was devoid of anything such as emotions and expressions and humanity.

“Solace.”

Solace looked closely at him.

His nanite based clothes were gone.

Analysing it, it has been a long time since he has been using normal clothes.

“What happened…?” Omegan said.

His upper body was completely naked, revealing his body.

“The scars… Why are they back?” Solace didn't understand why those scars were back.

His body had many scars on it. One on his left chest, one on his right eye - as if someone had slashed his eye in half, and many more.

“To remind me of the good old days.”

A thin emotionless smile ripped his face in half.

“Now, let’s get to work.”
