Chapter 66 - Reawakening - Part 7
Monday, 7th June - Chias, Chochica Empire - Andromeda Galaxy:
Nazar teleported into the dark conference room and found Baros sitting alone.
“Why did you call me here, Baros?”
“Why did you not--”
“Kill you?”
Baros nodded.
“Why should I?”
Nazar sat opposite Baros.
“Did you not notice what Darkness… Lillian said last night?”
“Lillian? That’s her name, huh?”
“But that’s not all. I went against you yesterday. I stop--”
“Dude, you are one of my closest friends. And one of my closest and most loyal allies. Plus, I might need your help so I need to keep you around.”
Baros chuckled.
“And how on earth do you think I would run this whole damn empire without you and Solace and Lian and the others?”
“Yes. But insubordination should be awarded with punishment, no?”
“So, what? I don’t want to be the kind of king that punishes people simply for what they believe in or what they love. You love her, don’t you?”
Baros did not answer.
“So, what? What’s the problem here? Why are you so against something which makes you happy...”
Nazar noticed something.
“I sound like a hypocrite but there is nothing wrong with you being with Darkness. If it makes you two happy, who are we to judge? Who are we to stop you?”
“...I see.”
“Remember a few days ago when you said that we need to change the empire? It’s too old fashioned?”
Baros nodded.
Even though it was dark, Nazar could see that.
“I know you meant just for me as the monarch… But that’s the thing, you were not allowed to have any form of relationship, did you?”
“Yes...” he said slowly and with a lot of sadness in his voice.
“And since you did not like the Church of Michael that much, you did not follow them closely and in private, you had a weird relationship with Darkness.”
“I was allowed to have a relationship but only if it was with one of the nobles.”
“The nobles can kill themselves for all I care.”
“Which is why I wanted you to change it.”
“I sure will. Not for myself. I don't care about what things are allowed or accepted by others. I do what I do."
Nazar chuckled.
"Maybe one day I won’t be the king of this empire… Maybe I will die, so the next person in line should have more freedom. Plus...”
Nazar stood up.
“The rules set by the Church needs to go away completely. It shouldn’t dictate any part of our lives.”
“I agree,” Baros said as he nodded.
He was still feeling guilty about what happened.
“And don’t worry. I won’t kill you. Why should I? Insubordination? Fuck that! Who cares? And you didn’t betray the empire. That’s not how it works. If you went against the empire, gave Darkness information and tried to kill me, then yeah maybe... But you didn’t, right?”
“Of course not,” he replied without any hesitation.
“Then what’s the problem?”
“...”
“I know what it’s like to be brought up in a confined space. Also, I think you should put yourself before the rest of the empire. I know you are still paying for what you did, but you have already been punished enough. Put yourself before the empire.”
Baros was not sure what to say.
“But of course, don’t don’t try to sell us off.”

Nazar laughed again.
“Thanks...”
“Dude, don’t bother with other stuff. Live your life the way you want it.”
Nazar started to walk away.
“On Earth they say, “life is too short to worry about anything.” So...”
The door to the room opened and there was light for the first time in a while.
“Live a life that is worth living."
He knew how hypocritical he sounded, but he said it anyway.
"Live it to its fullest.”
Nazar waved his hand without looking back, and left the room.
As soon as he left, the door closed behind him and Baros was left in the dark again.
လလလ
While Nazar showed the floating city to his family, someone else on Earth continued their search.
The white-haired and red-eyed woman who is not a human searched for Nazar.
“Where…? Where…? Where?!”
Right now, she was sitting behind a desk inside a police station, invisible. She could not be seen by the naked eye.
She had also placed the whole place under an illusion and no one entered the room.
Looking at their database, she found many people with the name ‘Nazar’.
In 1984 of this world, the leader of the world at that time - the demon known as Zerathos, whom the world did not know about and might never will - set up a system called ‘Public Bank’.
It contains all the data of every citizen in the world. It can only be accessed by the authorities. So, each police station can access the system. However, the system can only be used with a certain level of clearance.
The public does not know about the system. This system, after all, contains every form of information about the citizens. Their work history - even if it was done in the dark - education history, relationship history, criminal history - if any - medical history, and more. The data has been gathered with the consent of the citizens.
The system was created to find any signs of superhumans, so the demon could use them as his soldiers.
When he was in control, he made sure that each government has its own rulers, so no one suspects a thing. He controlled the higher-ups of each government and that’s how he ruled.
In the year 2000, Nazar killed him and free all the high ranking individuals of the government. He also removed their memories and no one knows about the secret ruler.
After his fall - which no one knows about besides Nazar and a few powerful beings - the governments continued using the system as it helped them a lot to find out about criminals and take them down.
Alice Brown - the demon’s daughter - was now getting frustrated because she did not know Nazar’s surname.
In the original world, Nazar had removed all the records of his surname and removed that particular name from everyone’s mind.
And since she did not know his parents in this timeline - as she did in the previous one - she cannot recall it his surname.
Now, going through many similar names was starting to annoy her.
Since the Public Bank contain data of every citizen of the planet, the number of people with the name ‘Nazar’ was pretty high.
“Why did he use such a crappy name?” Alice said as she hung her shoulders low.
She could easily sort the names by different categories, such as country, but she thinks that he might have not lived in the United Kingdom.
“This software is annoying.”
Public Bank is one of the most secure systems on the planet but Alice accessed it easily because she remembered her old credentials.

Alice was surprised to find out that she could still use it.
“I wonder why I can’t go to hell...”
Ever since the Demon King has come into the picture, Hell has changed. So, it is not too far fetched that he has blocked entrances to Hell.
“Which is why I have to find this idiot and ask him. He always knows something. There isn’t something he doesn’t know!!”
She hung her head low as she realised something.
“Ahhh, who am I kidding? He barely knows anything himself...”
She continued to search for him for a very long time. After all, he is her best bet.
It wasn’t until the next day when she finally found his name.
“So, his surname is Hall?”
Anyone would be exhausted from staring at the screen for over 24 hours but she is different. She is not human.
But then again, it was partially her fault. She had clicked on the correct name a few times. However.
"Why the hell did he change his hair colour and eye colour?!?"
Last time she saw him was when Nazar has black hair and black eyes.
"I was actually expecting him to not have his name anywhere in the database. Kind of disappointed."
She did say that, but deep down, she was very relieved.
“Now, where do I find him?”
Sucking in a breath, she vanished into thin air.
လလလ
Plymouth, UK - Earth:
Since she had found his home address, she teleported there.
Appearing in front of Nazar’s house, she took a deep breath.
“Okay, okay. Calm down.”
She hesitated to knock on the door.
“It’s not a big deal. Just knock the door and ask him what’s wrong.”
For some reasons, she was very anxious to knock on the door.
“Wait!”
Her body stiffened up.
“What if he doesn’t remember…? What if…? What if he is…?”
She shook her head as threw away those thoughts.
“Phew. Take a deep breath and knock on the door.”
And so she did. She knocked on the door with a stiff hand.
She waited and waited and waited but…
“There is no answer?!”
She clicked her tongue and closed her eyes.
“I should have done this from the start...”
Her dark grey and white wings shot out of her back.
Collecting all of her magical energies into her wings, she searched for him.
She searched for the most powerful human ever.
“Huh?”
However, she could not find him anywhere on this planet.
“Where is he?”
What else was she supposed to do? There was no other way for her to find Nazar.
Many different thoughts flashed through her head.
“What if he is dead?”
But she quickly dismissed that thought.
“He can’t die, right?”
She sighed heavily.
“But even if I find him? Will he really have an answer for me?”
There was a lot of doubt in her heart. But at the same time, she knew that there was no other option.
"I guess I will go to the other address that was written under his name."
She vanished into thin air.
She wanted to find Nazar but she was not expecting Nazar to find her.
Light years away, in another galaxy, on an alien planet, a human with more power than anyone else narrowed his eyes.
"Oh?"
Nazar had been keeping an eye on the abnormal energies in the universe, so sensing it from Earth has him alarmed.
With an alarmed expression, he flew towards Earth.
လလလ
In a dark place, the archangel Michael clicked his tongue.
He was trying to find out why Nazar suddenly vanished from their view recently.
The great Archangel Michael who once stood at the top of everything was now powerless.
But it was not as if he does not have tricks of his own.
With a magical mirror, he used to look at Nazar and monitor him.
However, he vanished from their view completely recently.
He didn’t just drop from the magical mirror view but also from the eyes of higher beings such as Arosus and the Queen - who is known as the Goddess by some.
Right now he was being asked to find him.
“How do I find him?”
The seven mosters known as Seven Deadly Sins were standing right beside him.
As monsters who want only destruction, they could not do much to search for Nazar.
However.
They can provide Michael with energy to search for him.
It was useless. They couldn’t find it.
So, he was very frustrated.
But the seven monsters besides him were whispering to each other.
“No, you ask him.”
“I won’t.”
“I don’t ask such lower being--”
“What?”
“Oh come on, nothing will go wrong.”
“I wonder if his answer is funny.”
They thought Michael could not hear them.
He could hear them but decided to ignore them.
However, it was starting to annoy him.
“What do you want?!”
“Sooo… How did you lose your powers?”
Hearing Envy’s question, he sighed.
“I thought I told you before?"
The monster looking at each other with a confused expression on their face.
"You did?"
"I don't remember."
Michael let out a heavy sigh.
"God took it away.”
“Who is God?”
Wrath said with a fire in his voice.
“The guy you guys fought before--”
“Oh, that weakling?”
Michael was annoyed when Pride cut him off.
“That puny human is your God? Pathetic.”
Michael clenched his fist.
“Oh, is that so?”
He was overflowing with anger but tried not to show it on his face at all.
“So, how did you lose?”
“...”
Michael sighed.
“His control over the angels is very high. Removing their powers, replacing them, killing and creating new ones. And more.”
"Hmm."
It seems as if the monsters were not satisfied with the answer.
The monsters were created by Lucifer as an experiment a long time ago. So, in theory, angels exist in a higher position than them.
In their own dimension, their powers should be unrivaled by beings from other dimensions.
So.
When the monsters fought Nazar, he couldn't do much again him. And Nazar was the one who was getting beaten.
"Ehhhh. I still don't believe it."
Michael's shoulders dropped in an annoyed manner..
"Just don't tempt him. You won't like it if he ever gets serious."
The monsters clicked their tongues in unison.
"I guess we fought two different people."
"Anyway, Michael…"
He looked at Pride with an annoyed expression.
"Why are you working for the Queen? Or the Goddess?"
"Why are you working for her?"
Michael answered his question with another question.
"Well, she promised us destruction."
"Ah…"
Michael seemed somewhat disappointed despite expecting an answer like this.
"I want her to return my powers to me."
That is his goal. Always has been.
But for some unknown reasons, he is feeling conflicted.
"So, you became her errand boy?"
Sloth laughed.
Michael looked down.
"I will do anything to get back my power and put that human in his place. But then again, if he was serious, no one would stand a chance."
"He seemed ser--"
"No, he didn't. He was playing around."
Michael, reminiscing about an unfortunate memory, smiled bitterly.
"The last time he was actually serious, he killed a demon with a single punch. Even when his sister was taken over by someone else and with a demon's power, he wasn't playing seriously. He was surprised and confused but not serious."
The monsters exchanged glances and shrugged.
"For a second, I thought he would lose control and wreck everything but he didn't. Which was rather surprising in its own way."
Michael looked at the magical mirror before him.
"Well, whatever happened then, we should be happy. That could have gone badly. But this…"
The mirror could show Michael everything inside the ultraverse - save for a few beings and places - so he was wondering what happened to Nazar and why he vanished from his view.
"This is serious. We need to find a way and figure out what happened to him. Something has changed in the playing field and we need to take the upper hand again."
The bored monsters finally seemed to care about what Michael was saying.
"And how are we…?"
"Well, the Goddess wants to send him somewhere. And probably want to examine him thoroughly when he is there."
"And how do you know he will go there?"
"The path for him is set."
"Oh?"
Michael looked back at Wrath and smiled thinly.
"Because there will be disturbance again. Soon. Very soon."
လလလ
London, UK - Earth:
Alice, the half-demon and half-angel suddenly appeared above the city and started to fall.
"Wahhh?!"
She flapped her wings and floated.
"[Teleport Intercept]?"
Teleportation is perhaps the fastest way of travel.
It can take you from point A to be B very quickly.
Despite what people believe, it is not an instantaneous form of travel.
To teleport, one must enter another dimension at point A and then reappear in point B. And the time it takes to do that is usually about one second.
So!
To be able to intercept teleportation, one must be extremely fast and powerful. And they must have exceptional calculation abilities.
"It must be him!"
Now, what happened here?
Someone calculated her trajectory and messed with it by replacing point B with a non-existent point - C.
To do that, one must have changed the numbers of not just the planet, but the whole planet.
"Hm?"
The half breed suddenly felt the whole world vibrate.
Then it was followed by an extremely loud sonic boom which did not seem natural for someone moving at that speed.
And in the next instant, she saw a fist coming towards her.
“Alice?!”
(But her energy signature and power levels are different?)
Nazar’s eyes widened once he recognised the person.
But!
His fist was only inches away from her face. He could have stopped it but he wasn’t thinking about that.
So many questions appeared in his head about why she is back and he forgot to stop his fist.
However, to defend herself, she raised her hand.
And.
To both of their surprises, Nazar fist was stopped by Alice.
"Huh?"
The shockwave of the blocked fist caused damage to a few nearby buildings.
Confused, he looked at his hand.
This fist was powerful enough to destroy a planet with ease.
Nazar knows Alice. Against anyone - who isn't a demon or an angel - she can't do much. She is almost powerless.
And yet!
"You stopped it…?"

It would take a lot to catch up to players with such an enormous head start. Lucky for him, he was a special type of gamer. A SpeedRunner So.... It has been a hot minute. I don't like talking about my personal life, but suffice to say I had some fairly bad times for the last couple of years and have only just recently pulled myself back to good health, physically and mentally. I have a very supportive partner, and am put together enough that I want to get back to doing what I love. Writing nerd fiction that I am too embarassed to try to explain when people inevitably ask what my books are about. Still beats when I used to write erotica. Story updates for book 3 should be on a daily schedule, baring unforseen circumstances. The majority of chapters from books one and two have been pulled down to keep with amazon's KU rules. Book one is found here. Book two is found here. If you like the story, please comment or favorite. Each comment goes a long way towards pushing visibility for the story, which means more people get to see it and I feel slightly more validated as a writer. I have a discord now where you can ask me things and I can be like 'no. no. I'm not answering that. no."

Arround him, the era shifts as immense powers struggle and scheme for the world's future. Join our protagonist as he travels through exotic lands, meets strange and funny creatures and learns to remain human amongst the carnage. Author's note: This is the first story I'm writting in a coherent manner (I have written a lot of DnD background stories in the past), so bear with me if I make boring or overdescriptive bits: I'll regularly come back to rewrite whichever parts feel unpolished, especially grammatical errors. I would also appreciate any corrections or suggestions.

Creature Feature: InGen Hybrids
The fossil record is obviously incomplete, which means InGen's experiments with the hybridisation of various prehistoric creatures are probably not over. With that in mind, this guide is likely incomplete. But if you're writing Jurassic Park or Jurassic World fanfiction, or stories told within that pretty awesome universe, then any of the creatures found in these fair pages should be considered entirely canon!
