Chapter 60 - Reawakening - Part 1

Sunday 6th of June - London, UK - Earth:

To keep his cover as a normal human, Nazar not only studied like a normal person but also had a part-time job at a cafe.

It was a cafe in central London, owned by someone he knew in the original timeline.

Not too long ago, it was packed with people.

And Nazar, the unordinary human was pretending to be an ordinary human.

Working in the cafe, he was a human with odd features such as white hair and red eyes. But for reasons, people didn’t bat an eye. To them, this was normal.

It's simple. Decades ago, Nazar hypnotised everyone on Earth. Everyone accepted his odd eye colour as something normal.

White hair, though, it is not natural for young people to have in this world, they can still dye their hair using artificial colours.

In this cafe, he was working for a Japanese woman in her early fifties who looked very young for her age.

She was a thin and slender woman with long black hair that reached her waist - which was now braided so it does not get in her way - and black eyes.

This beautiful woman was Mikasa Jones.

Yes, that’s right. She was Emily Jones’ - Nazar’s friend - mother.

In the original timeline, she was not a stranger to Nazar. In fact, when Nazar was young, she taught him a few things and considered Nazar and his family very close.

The store was closing soon, so Nazar was about to leave soon.

Last year, Nazar was dared by his friends to work in a cafe since he would look ridiculous for some reasons. So, he found a job here and started working. That dare helped him keep up the cover.

“How much longer of your uni is left?”

Nazar was finishing up in the kitchen when he heard Mikasa’s voice.

“Like ten days.”

“Ah, okay. I guess I have to hire someone new then.”

She laughed.

“Well, all good things must come to an end.”

“Yes, including your shift. I am not paying you extra.”

Nazar laughed.

“I am finished anyway.”

Nazar wiped his hands and left the kitchen.

Coming out, he saw Mikasa counting the money.

“Today was really busy.”

“Yeah...”

Next to the counter was a locker. Nazar took out his wallet and phone out of it.

“Well, sorry about that. You had to do more than usual. Bel was supposed to be here too but she got ill.”

“Nah, it wasn’t much.”

Nazar unlocked his phone and found out that Emma had sent a message.

Opening the message, Nazar sighed lightly.

(“Come home for dinner, will you” huh? They are getting used to me having powers way quickly. Oh well...)

Nazar was looking at his phone once the door opened.

“We are clos--”

He turned around and trailed off once he saw who it was.

It was someone he wanted to avoid for the rest of his life, if possible.

“--ed for today.”

“Oh, don’t mind her. She is my daughter.”

Entering the store was a petite woman in her early 20s with blonde hair and blue eyes. As soon as she entered, she winked at Nazar.

“Oh, I see.”

Nazar, of course, knew that but he wanted to pretend he did not.

Nazar forced a smile on his face and nodded, greeting her.

“H-hello.”

He put the phone in his pocket and walked towards the entrance door.

“Oh, Nazar...”

Mikasa called out to him.

“There is a chair and a table left outside. If you don’t mind...”

“Yeah sure.”

Nazar left the cafe and Emily walked closer towards her mother.

“Mom, do you remember when I told you a story a while ago...”

“Hm?”

“I told you my story about how I have powers and created by this old God, right?”

Mikasa nodded.

“And that there was someone else too. He was the main one and he basically became a God.”

“And then you were taken over by and nearly destroyed everything?”

Mikasa chuckled.

“Yes.”

“So?”

“Remember how I told you about the human who became a God?”

“...Yes?”

Nazar returned to the cafe with the chair.

Emily smiled thinly.

”Well, that God...”

Emily pointed towards Nazar with her chin.

“Mom, he is that God who destroyed everything and then recreated it.”

Mikasa looked at Emily in a dazed manner.

His form changed.

“Nazar is the human who achieved omnipotence, destroyed everything accidentally and recreated everything.”

Hearing that, Nazar’s eyes lit up with red energy.

Moving at super speed, Nazar held Emily by her neck.

However, her smile didn’t waver.

“Let’s talk.”

Mikasa was not sure what happened.

Dumbfounded, she looked around.

“Wh-what…?”

Mikasa knows that Emily has more power than most, so she is not worried. But she was confused about what just happened.

On the other side of the world, Nazar threw Emily onto the ground.

“Speak!”

With a cold voice and red glowing eyes, Nazar spoke.

However, Emily merely stood up and fixed her thin summer dress.

“Long time no see, old friend.”

“I am giving you 30 seconds to speak. Say anything I don’t like or unnecessary, I will throw you into the 8th dimension and you will die.”

This existence is divided into eight different planes of existence. This world is in the third plane of existence.

Hell and Heaven are in the fourth and fifth. The Gods live in the sixth dimension. The seventh dimension is empty.

Nazar is from the eight dimension.

To kill Emily who was taken over by the Nameless One, he threw them into the eight dimension.

“Haha, do you really think that will work again?”

Nazar’s eyes widened once he noticed the increasing power levels of Emily.

Emily tilted her head a little as she smiled thinly.

“Scared, babe?”

Emily moved.

Punching Nazar with enough power that could shake galaxies, he found himself thrown to another dimension.

“Worlds are shaking. The universe is rewriting itself to me. Time moves. Futures created. Timelines destroyed.”

Nazar was killed by that punch.

His upper body could not be found anywhere.

As Emily talked to herself, Nazar reformed himself.

“Your durability… I am disappointed. At one point you could easily withstand a punch far more powerful than mine. What happened?”

Nazar looked around but he could not recognise this dimension.

“People grow more powerful and you keep making yourself weaker and weaker...”

Emily sighed.

“How are you going to stand against her?”

Nazar’s eyes widened.

“What?”

“Aaaaahhhh. I was wondering, have you told your hot girlfriend about what happened between you and that Goddess?”

Turning off his emotions, Nazar stood still.

"By the way, did you ever wonder why she loved you--"

Nazar moved. He moved so fast that not even Emily could not comprehend it.

Feeling an energy sword in her back, Emily jumped.

Turning around, she noticed Nazar with an odd dark purple aura surrounding him.

"Oi, oi, oi…"

On her face, a stiff smile appeared.

"I didn't think you would take this so seriously."

Nazar sucked in a breath.

"Speak!"

"L-let's talk this out instead, okay?"

"Hrm."

The dark purple aura around him vanished.

Seeing that, Emily let out a sigh of relief.

"Let's try that again."

Nazar was staring at Emily, who was standing far away from him now.

Nazar noticed the universe reversing as if it was a VHS tape.

"By the way--"

Emily trailed off.

"Never mind."

Nazar stared at her.

"Do you know how much I hate you?"

Emily moved.

"Do you know how much--"

Emily was standing still again.

Nazar noticed what it was.

"Damn it!"

"Your time shenanigans are useless against me. I don't exist in the same linear world like you."

"I know that," she said as she gritted her teeth.

Emily sucked in a breath and smiled.

They were back on Earth.

Emily was thrown to the ground.

Without saying a word, she attacked Nazar with enough force that shook universes.

Nazar found himself designated into nothingness.

He is very durable but in this form, he has limits.

Reforming himself, he found himself in another dimension again.

As soon as he reformed, Emily punched him in the heart again.

However, this time, Nazar was ready.

Emily laughed.

"[Vector Manipulation]? Really?"

Vector Manipulation is an ability which allows the user to manipulate almost everything they come in contact with. However, like all abilities, this also has a limit. The user must be able to calculate a huge quantity of numbers in a short period of time. For example, if the user wants to reflect an attack from a bullet, they must be able to calculate the speed, weight, height, width, damage capabilities and more in order to manipulate it.

Another limitation of the ability is that if the numbers change even slightly, the ability will be rendered useless.

"I knew you were a big fan of the Accelerator but never expected you to be using his powers even today."

She chuckled.

“But that’s the thing about you, isn’t it? You have never come up with one original power or ability or a feat. Haha.”

Emily shot an energy beam towards him.

However, the beam was reflected back towards Emily.

Dodging the beam, she frowned.

But!

"It's following me?!"

The beam didn't let go. Nazar was manipulating the vectors in the air to stay in contact with the beam and manipulate it.

"If that hits me, I will be in a lot of danger. It's powerful enough to hurt Lucifer. Damn it!!!!----Ah."

Emily landed and gestured.

"Let's talk this out. Please."

Nazar did not reply.

"Time out!"

All of sudden, they were back in the cafe.

Emily just told her mother that Nazar is a God.

"...Eh?"

Miksaka looked at Nazar in a dazed manner.

Nazar's form changed. However, it might not be noticed by a stranger.

“Let’s talk this out, Nazar. Please? For her?” Emily pointed towards her mother.

“...”

“Look, you attacked me first.”

“Be--”

“Yes, because you thought I was still taken by the Nameless One?”

Emily sat on one of the chairs.

“Fair enough.”

Nazar sighed.

“Well, sorry. But you killed me like three times. So, fair and square?”

Emily laughed.

“Also, I was checking something when I reversed time a few times.”

Emily moved the chair.

“Anyway, sit down next to me,” she said as she pointed at the chair opposite her.

Nazar sat next to her.

“Uh… can you bring back my mom's memories? I tried but I can't make it work properly. Psychic powers are not my thing.”

Nazar looked at Mikasa.

"Oh, and do the same to my bother and my dad. Got it?"

As his eyes lit up with blue energy, he said, “Remember!”

Memories bombarded into her head, so she fell down.

But before she hit the ground, Emily had placed a barrier around her. So, right now, she was unconsciously floating in the air.

“To begin with, I hate you. I absolutely fucking loathe you.”

“Thanks.”

“But I also love you. Though, not romantically.”

“Thanks.”

“However, I am 99% sure that in a few years time we will be married and have kids.”

Emily brought her face close to Nazar.

“How many kids do you want, dear?”

Nazar shot her with an energy beam.

“Ouch! That’s domestic abuse,” she said as she messaged her face which was hit by an energy beam.

“S--”

“Jokes aside. There is a big problem.”

On Emily’s face, a serious expression appeared.

“I have been avoiding you for a very, very long time.”

“Same.”

“But I found something interesting recently. Or rather something horrible and I don’t think anyone besides you is capable of solving it. And it’s something…”

She looked at Nazar.

“You are also dealing with right now.”

“Oh?”

“The-- That woman has been resetting time on a scale never seen before. And it has been a hassle.”

“Huh?”

“Speaking of, stop stopping time every single time, you dumb fucking bitch.”

Nazar looked at her.

“You are giving me a heart attack. I always think the Nameless One is back and he is fucking shit up again.”

Nazar was not sure what she was talking about.

“Back to the topic at hand; don’t let another time reset. If it happens, then we are all fucked. Even I won’t be able to fix it.”

“Emily, I might be an absolute idiot when it comes to time and shit… But there is no way I will be affected by linear time manipulation.”

“That’s where you are wrong, love,” Emily said as she waved her index finger in front of her face. “This isn’t linear time manipulation. This is time manipulation on megaverse level.”

Nazar’s eyes widened.

“You are familiar with ultraverse and megaverse, right?”

“What’s a megaverse?”

“What kind of God are you?”

Emily sighed.

“Ultraverse is what some people call existence since they don’t know its official name, right?”

Nazar nodded in a confused manner.

“A megaverse is a collection of ultraverses.”

“Wait, there is only one ultraverse. Where are you--?”

Emily facepalmed.

“Motherfucker… You are a disgrace to your power.”

Nazar just stared at her.

“There are more than one ultraverse. In fact, there are thousands.”

Nazar’s eyes widened.

“And a megaverse is a collection of ultraverses.”

Not knowing what’s going on, Nazar just clicked his tongue.

“So, like omniverse?”

She shook her in an exasperated manner.

“For the love of… No. Megaverse is a collection of two or more ultraverses. An omniverse refers to EVERYTHING.”

“Ah, okay...”

Noticing the confused look on Nazar’s face, Emily frowned.

“Anyway, she is resetting time on megaverse and beyond level. But even then, not everything goes according to her plan, fortunately."

“So, not on linear level which deals… Wait, explain linear timeline to me. To my understanding, it is on ultraverse level.”

Emily laughed.

“Linear time manipulation only affects a particular dimensional plane.”

“So…?”

“Yes, when we did it last time was on ultraverse level. But she is doing it on megaverse level.”

“I see… I guess I need to readjust my existence on a megaverse level now.”

Nazar sighed heavily.

“I wonder how I am going to do that.”

“You don’t have to do anything, friend.”

“Hm?”

“You know what we are, right?”

Nazar nodded.

“Created by an old God to ultimately fall in love and see how powerful our child would be? Haha. Oh, and you are to be my power source?”

She nodded.

“But we are more than that.”

Emily placed her palms on Nazar’s face.

“To make it work, we need to be connected physically… Do you want to kiss?”

Nazar rolled his eyes.

“Fine, we can do it differently then. Let’s go to my room and do it there. I have a condo--”

“Emily...”

She sighed.

“You are no fun.”

Both of their eyes lit up with purple energy.

“Here goes… everything.”

Nazar found it hard to breathe.

“What...”

“Shhh.”

Suddenly, being bombarded with memories of dozens of timelines which were not supposed to exist, Nazar fell to the ground.

“How...? No...”

“Oh yes. You missed on a lot of stuff, babe.”

“This… can’t be, can it?”

“Take your time, dear. Digest everything that’s been fed to you.”
