Birthday Gift – Part 6

Laura was lying down on the bed and Nazar had his eyes open wide.

Laura had said, “I remember.”

“Since when?”

Nazar was not surprised but he was worried.

(Who did this? Was the personality I met a few minutes ago? Or the Goddess Michael mentioned?) Nazar thought to himself.

“10 days, I think?”

“Just you? Anybody else?”

Laura shook her head.

“I don’t know.”

“So… You know--”

“About your powers? Of course.”

“I see.”

Nazar took his normal form.

In this form, he is slightly more muscular and intimidating.

Nazar sat on a chair which appeared out of thin air.

He hadn’t teleported it but instead, he created it by manipulating the molecules of the air.

“N-Nazar?”

Laura seemed troubled, so she sat up.

“Let me test something out.”

Nazar lowered his gaze.

“………………………. …………………………………. ……………………………. ………………………………………… …………………………………………………………. ……………………….. ……………………………………………………… …………………………………………….. …………………………………………………. ……………………………………….. ………………………………….. ………………………… ……………………. ………………………………………………………………………. ……………………………………….. …………………………………….. ……………………….. …………………………………… …………………………….. ………………. Did you get that?”

“Get… what?”

Nazar was not surprised.

He wanted to see if he could tell someone else who is not one of the powerful people around him like Solace.

“There is something going on with me which I cannot explain no matter how much I try.”

“Solace…”

Laura trailed off.

She didn’t want Nazar to know about the meetings between her and Solace. She didn’t want Solace to somehow get blamed for all of this.

But it was too late.

“So, Solace knew about this? And that’s why she was on Earth?”

Laura looked at Nazar with wide eyes.

“Let me guess… You two made a promise and that’s why she didn’t say anything.”

“Yeah…”

“I see…”

Nazar looked her in the eyes.

“Do you want me to ta--”

“No!”

“Okay.”

Laura seemed surprised that Nazar didn’t try to persuade her differently as Solace tried.

“So, what do you think?”

“Think about…?”

“Think about why I didn’t tell you… Or why… Or why… I don’t know, anything?”

“Everyone has the right to keep their uh… well, secrets.”

“You are being way to calm about finding out that your boyfriend is…”

Nazar trailed off.

Laura knows what Nazar truly is now that she remembers.

“That you are probably the most powerful person in the universe?”

(Well, I am not exactly the most powerful in this form but…)

“Yes.”

“I already got used it to it in the other world… Timeline. And I had time to think about. I got these memories back like 10 days ago, you know?”

“Fair enough.”

“You are lucky I got my memories right after the final exam. If I had gotten it a little earlier, I would have failed."

"I see."

They both sat in silence and thought.

After a while, Nazar stood up.

(Today is going to be a long day. At least I should wear something comfortable.)

He tapped his right chest twice and his clothes changed.

He was now wearing black jeans and a black shirt.

“Hey, how does that work?”

“My clothes?”

She nodded.

“My clothes are made of nanites.”

“No, no, I know that,” Laura said as she stood up. “I was wondering how you make it work by just tapping it?”

“Ah.”

Nazar held out his palm and in it, a small device appeared.

“This is the device.”

Laura looked at it closely.

“This works differently… But mine is connected with my nervous system and my brain. With it, so it responds to my thoughts. When I touch it twice, it sends a message to my brain. Once that happens, I send a ‘message’ back and it does the work.”

“Oh, that’s interesting.”

Nazar handed the device to Laura.

“This one is the newest version. I have been working on it for a long time now and it’s finally done.”

“What’s the difference?” Laura said as she took the device.

“It has an AI system. When you are outside, your clothes don’t change. And the clothes are made from polymer instead of nanites like mine. So, it's much easier to wear.”

“That’s it?”

“Well, it has a few other features, but these are the most important ones.”

“Ah.”

“As for mine, well, mine is a highly modified version. The clothes are made of nanites and if a normal human wears it, it will itch a lot. As for other capabilities, it has teleportation, flight, armour, force field, etc.”

“Ooh. That’s interesting.”

Laura sat down as she looked at the device closely.

"Try it on. I have been meaning to test it out on someone."

"So, I am your Guinea Pig?"

"...No."

“How do you use this?”

“Here let me show you.”

Nazar went closer and took the device.

He then placed it on her right chest.

“Are you sure about this?”

“Yes.”

Laura seemed nervous so Nazar laughed.

“Don’t worry, it will be okay.”

Nazar used his technopathy and activated the device.

(I can do it without technopathy, but this should make it easier.)

“I am just finishing the setup.”

“O-okay.”

Laura suddenly felt a little electrical current move through her body.

However, it didn’t hurt her at all.

“Now you should be able to manipulate your clothes. Just think about the clothes you want and you will be wearing that. Once it changes, you can lock it by thinking about locking it. The AI will then take over. It will not change your clothes until you are back in a safe place. You can set a safe place just by being in a place where you feel ‘safe’. It monitors your heart and figures out where you feel safe.”

“That’s… How long did it take you to make this?”

“50 hours in super speed.”

“Impressive.”

“Is it?”

Laura smiled.

“I don’t know much about super speed… but it does sound impressive.”

“Thanks, then.”

Nazar smiled widely.

(Cute!) Laura thought to herself.

“Now, check it out.”

Laura got onto the bed and lay down.

Nazar was confused.

“What are…?”

“Let’s see if it can give me any kind of clothes I want.”

“Okay, just tap your chest – either one – and then think.”

“Okay!”

She did as Nazar told her and her clothes changed.

Seeing that, Nazar blushed and averted his gaze.

“Was not expecting that,” Nazar muttered to himself.

“So, what do you think?”

Laura spread her arms as she showed her black lingerie.

“It looks good.”

“At least look at me when you say that!”

Nazar looked at her.

"Yes, it looks good."

“I still have a little time until work, so…”

“Hm?”

“Want to continue from here on out?”

“Uh…”

Nazar was not sure what to do at that moment, so he looked away again.

“Laura…”

Seeing the troubled expression on Nazar’s face, Laura’s clothes changed. She was wearing black jeans and a black shirt. Unlike Nazar’s, it was more formal.

“There is something I need to tell you.”

“What is it?”

“Do you want the short and out of context version where you freak out and get angry? Or the longer one where you still do the same but just not as much?”

“Let me guess, you cheated on me?”

Nazar looked at her in reflex.

“From your reaction… I am right, aren’t I?”

Laura sat up.

“Go on. Explain.”

“In March, I felt a disturbance. When I was trying to find out what it was, I came across a Greece-like planet. In there, I saved the princess and the planet. Later that evening… Well, I blacked out. And the next thing I remember was the middle of space, early in the morning.”

“…”

Laura was not sure how to feel about this.

“And now, I found out that I had slept with the princess.”

“…”

"I remember, since I left on that quest, I had totally forgotten about you until today. I didn't even know we had a thing. Or that I slept with a princess."

Laura stood up and picked up her purse.

“I see…”

She was not sure what to think about this whole situation.

She opened the door of the bedroom and looked back.

“Is that all?”

“Not really. But I can’t explain the other one. Earlier... I tried to tell you but someone is blocking me.”

“Oh, okay.”

She smiled then left the apartment.

Nazar looked out of the window and sighed.

(Gehehehehe…)

“You were right. This didn’t last long at all.”

Nazar was talking the voice in his head.

“You win.”

Chias, Chochica Empire – Andromeda Galaxy:

Later that evening, Nazar and thousands of aliens had gathered in the Castle.

It was his birthday celebration.

He was very worried about Laura but as usual, he put on a smile and didn’t show it on his face.

Events like these are used to deepen the relationships between different empires.

The even was nearing the end and it was time for the main part of the event; Nazar’s speech to his people.

Of course, the majority of the attendants have already left.

Nazar was sitting in a room that was filled with monitors and cameras.

He was wearing formal clothes.

It was a black suit with the flag of Chochica on his right chest.

He also had a red cape and a sash covering his left shoulder and his left chest.

This message was being broadcasted across the whole empire live.

In front of everyone, a holographic screen had appeared, and it was showing nothing but Nazar’s message.

“”

Most people were expecting his message at this time.

“” Nazar shook his head. “”

People on the roads, streets, houses, spaceships, and more were doing nothing but listening carefully to Nazar’s message.

“”

Nazar stood up.

“”

Nazar smiled.

“”

Nazar chuckled.

“”

Nazar raised his hand.

“”

The castle was in a city called Monarcity.

This was where most of the other important offices and ministries of the empire were located.

“”

The entire city of Monarcity trembled and started to lift up.

“”

Within a few minutes, the Monarcity was floating tens of miles above the ground.

Nazar looked down.

The people below, from the surrounding cities of Monarcity, watched in awe as the city went up and up.

“” Nazar said with a smile on his face.

It looked like a bright star inside their atmosphere.

“”

Nazar smiled thinly.

“”

Nazar seemed very excited.

“”

The screen stopped showing Nazar and instead showed the people on the many streets.

The images flashed through their screens very quickly.

“”

The image on the screen changed once more.

It showed an image of the floating Monarcity from down below.

“”

From below and on the screen, they saw fireworks being shot from the floating Monarcity.

All around the world, the skies were filled with fireworks.

“”

Nazar smiled and waved.

The screen continued to show only the fireworks for the many more minutes.

Lucifer’s Dimension:

Lucifer was sitting near the sea in his own dimension when someone appeared near him.

“Why did you call me here, Lucifer?”

Lucifer looked at Aarin without standing up.

“Didn’t you want to keep your dimension a secret?”

“That’s true…”

Lucifer looked at the sea in front of him once more.

“It’s Nazar.”

“Oh?”

“Do you remember what I told you five months ago?”

Aarin nodded.

“I observed Nazar. One of his personalities wants to be a God.”

Aarin’s eyes widened.

“What do you mean?”

“One of his personalities wants to be a God. And it's of messing around with him. Messing with memories and his life. And his emotions.”

He stood up.

“I just wanted you to know since you are close to him.”

He looked at Aarin again.

“But I also wanted you to know that you,” he said as he pointed at her. “Might be able to do something about it.”

“I am not that pow--”

“I am not talking about power. His power is related to his mental state and emotional state.”

“Oh.”

“You are close to him. So, maybe be around him most of the time and help him in any way you can. Or...”

“Okay. But!”

Aarin glared at him.

“Are you going to tell me what happened last night?”

“Ah, that.”

Lucifer was unfazed by her glare, of course.

“That’s how I confirmed what I told you right now.”

“Oh?”

“Anyway, stay close to him. See if anything is wrong.”

“Okay, got it.”

Aarin was about to leave but Lucifer said something.

“Oh, and be careful.”

Aarin looked back to Lucifer in a confused manner.

She found it odd that Lucifer would ever say something nice like this to anyone.

Angels work differently, especially emotion-based angels.

An emotion-based angel must have a strong feeling of their emotion towards a certain someone or something. For example, when Aarin became an angel of the emotion love, she was asked to love someone with all her heart. If she stops loving that person, her powers will decrease significantly and she can even lose her status as an angel.

Furthermore, that feeling towards someone will not change at all. It will affect their power levels and status.

So, when she was asked to love someone, she directed all her feelings towards Lucifer. Lucifer is the love of her life.

When Lucifer said “be careful” to her, she thought something had awakened in him.

However!

“We are also dealing with someone way above our pay grade. They are also around Nazar, so as soon as something troublesome happens, call me. Send me a telepathic message. If I have a beacon-like you, I might be able to figure something out about our mastery attackers.”

“Oh, okay,” Aarin sounded disappointed.

Aarin vanished into thin air, leaving Lucifer alone.

Lucifer knew why she looked so disappointed but he didn’t bother.
