Chapter 43 - Birthday Gift - Part 4

1st of November 2020 - Dimension S:

Dimension S is short for Dimension Strength.

It was an empty dimension but people from many different universes came together and transformed it. They would transform it into a battleground. It’s a game of power. People battle in this game to see who wins the title of “Most Powerful Being in Existence”.

Here, each year, on average, 5,000 people from different universes and dimensions gather around and battle each other to see who is the most powerful.

It holds up to 30 million spectators who bet on these players.

The dimension is split into hundreds of arenas where people battle. The last two remaining will battle in the main arena, which is much larger than the other ones.

In the final match, even some royalties from the respected universes of the final two combatants make an appearance.

Nazar has been coming here for the last few years as a spectator. He has yet to participate in one of these matches as a player.

It’s not that these players are not powerful, it’s just he was not interested in it.

And because only one person from each universe can participate.

From Universe-1 AKA Prime Universe, a man known as Brawn.

Brawn is a tall dark green-skinned big burly beast. He stands over 2 meters tall and has a turtle’s shell-like skin with brown eyes which has no sclera. His skin is also designed like a turtle’s shell.

He has the same facial features and face design as a human, but he is nothing like a human.

“This guy is going to lose again, isn’t he?” Nazar said as he facepalmed.

For years, Brawn would take the first opportunity and consider himself the representative of Universe-1.

He is strong and invulnerable to all forms of attacks. Brawn is durable enough to withstand the explosion of the sun at point-blank. But his durability is not what makes him invulnerable. His true power is [Nullification]. He can nullify any attack that he can recognise.

Furthermore, having a speed that is near light speed, allows him to react to attacks and recognise them and nullify them as soon as it touches him. The attack cannot be nullified if doesn’t touch him.

Even telepathic attacks get nullified once he recognises it.

Over the years, he has fought many people.

Nazar and Brawn started out as enemies but seeing each other’s strength and invulnerability, they became friends. They battle each other regularly and find ways to hurt the other.

And for years, Nazar comes here.

However!

Brawn has yet to win a single match.

Because the final opponent is none other than the first angel, Lucifer.

Brawn’s invulnerability is what makes him stay until the end.

People have tried to get rid of him via other forms of attacks such as teleportation, but even that gets nullified once Brawn recognises the attack.

But when it comes to Lucifer, he comes up with attacks that Brawn cannot recognise and win in a single hit.

Today is no different either.

Brawn and Lucifer stood face to face in this large arena.

Everyone was looking at them quietly. No one was cheering for anyone.

It was not because they found the last battle boring but because they are waiting in anticipation of Lucifer’s new attack.

“Bring it on, big man,” Brawn said out loud as he pounded his chest.

“Who does he think he is, King Kong?” Nazar muttered to himself far away from them.

In the arena, Lucifer sighed.

“I wonder which attack I should use this time…”

Brawn smiled as Lucifer thought.

“What is that? Can’t come up with an attack? Hmph. I am disappointed—Argh!!”

While Brawn was babbling, Lucifer punched him in the chest, and he was thrown out of the ring.

“- Uh.. -”

The announcer was not sure what happened.

“- Can you, uh, explain to us? What did you do, Mr Lucifer? -”

Lucifer looked towards the booth in which the announcer was sitting.

As he gave them a fierce look, the announcer gulped.

Of course, that was Lucifer’s normal look. He has a very scary look.

“That was a normal punch. But around it was the emotion anger manifested as energy.”

“- …. What? -”

Nazar jumped from his seat and stood in front of Lucifer.

“Simply put, he manifested the emotion anger within him as a construct and placed it around his fist. Technically, he is punching him with anger manifested as energy. So, basically, uh... um… that was a fist made from anger.”

“- I-I guess that m-makes sense… -”

“It’s like the Lanterns from DC Comics. But instead of creating a construct made from anger and placing it around his fist. He turned it invisible and punched Brawn at a speed where he couldn’t recognise it.”

Of course, he knew that these people wouldn't know Lanterns from DC Comics but he said it anyway.

“- I-I see… -”

Nazar looked at Lucifer.

“Let’s fight.”

“It’s against the rules.”

With a blank look, Nazar said, “You and following rules?”

Sighing, Nazar turned to his left and looked at the announcer.

“Yo, do you have an objecti--”

“- No. None. You can fight. -”

“Okaayyyy then.”

Nazar faced Lucifer and smiled.

Seeing that, Lucifer sighed.

“Base,” Nazar said. “And simple. Physical combat.”

“Sure.”

Nazar made sure that Lucifer doesn’t use his powers as an angel, fallen angel, demon or a God.

“- 3, 2, 1… GO! -”

Nazar and Lucifer shot themselves towards each other.

As their fists clashed, the shockwave of it was powerful enough to obliterate everything in this dimension.

Fortunately, none of the spectators or players was injured.

As soon as their fists clashed, Lucifer had placed a barrier around them.

The people were safe.

Nazar jumped back.

He kicked the ground.

“Oh?”

Using his telekinesis, he lifted those small rocks and shot it towards Lucifer.

“Uh, I thought you meant physical combat only?” Lucifer said as he dodged the incoming projectiles with ease.

“I meant that for you.”

“Oh.”

Lucifer jumped up.

Seeing that, Nazar placed a barrier around himself.

But Lucifer ignored that and jumped down.

Punching Nazar’s barrier, it shattered.

Before he could punch Nazar, he jumped back and frowned.

“Can you take this seriously?”

“Oh, yes, I am.”

Nazar shot an energy beam towards Lucifer’s head.

Annoyed, Lucifer deflected the energy beam with his hand.

“I need to test out how powerful my new force fields are.”

Lucifer stared at him blankly.

“I am working on making new force fields. Using it… It’s… uh… complicated. And it takes a long time, so I want to use this fight to figure out how powerful they.”

“…”

“They are made from—Woah, woah, woah! Calm the fuck down, Lucy.”

From Lucifer’s back, two black wings came out.

On top of his head, a pitch-black halo appeared.

“I am calm.”

Narrowing his eyes, Lucifer moved.

Seeing that, Nazar jumped back.

“Shit!”

“Who do you think I am?”

“Uh…”

From the ground beneath Nazar, a white beam of energy shot Nazar through his legs.

He fell to the ground.

“Ow, ow, ow, ow. I won’t have children now…”

Not believing Nazar, Lucifer kicked him the stomach.

“I won’t fall for your acting. I don’t believe your lies--”

“Yo, did you know that you can’t spell ‘believe’ without ‘lie’?”

Nazar stood up.

He wasn’t hurt. He just wanted to let Lucifer lower his guard and then attack him.

Lucifer, with a blank look, kicked the ground.

The ground opened and swallowed Nazar.

“Holy shit! This is a cool trick. I am stealing it. Wait! Why is there lava he—Oooh!”

Nazar thrown back out, covered in lava.

“Ah, fuck! My clothes got ruined. I am never wearing normal clothes again!!”

Sitting on the ground, he noticed Lucifer’s kick to the face.

Rolling on the ground, Nazar shouted, “JUST BECAUSE I HAVE ABILITIES THAT WEAKENs YOUR ATTACKS DOESN’T MEAN—Actually, wait, never mind. I don’t feel pain.”

Lucifer’s hand twitched and Nazar stopped moving.

“Uh?”

Lucifer had restricted Nazar’s movement using his telekinesis.

“Dude… You--”

“Shut up!”

He shot himself towards Nazar and punched him in the chest.

With a hole in his chest and coughing blood, Nazar’s eyes closed.

“My win, right?”

Lucifer dropped Nazar’s body and waited for his resurrection.

However.

He waited for far too long.

“It has been one hour, why is he still not back?”

Lucifer has been waiting for Nazar for an hour now. While he was waiting, he had rebuilt the arena and sent everyone back to their universe.

“Fuck!”

Nazar stood up immediately and checked his body while breathing heavily.

“That was… Fuck! That was close.”

“Hey, what happened?”

Nazar looked at Lucifer and said, “It’s… It’s kind of hard to explain.”

“Oh?”

“Something… Something happened in the Void. I was, uh, fighting myself? My God-self… I was fighting… Fighting….”

Nazar looked troubled as he searched his memories.

“What was I fighting again?”

“Um…”

Lucifer noticed Nazar’s memories being erased.

He was worried but he didn’t show it on his face.

“Oh, it's nothing. Don’t worry, let’s go. Everyone has already gone.”

“So, who won?”

“Me.”

“Shit!”

Nazar smiled.

“Well, that was expected.”

Nazar prepared to teleport out.

“Anyway, see you later.”

Once Nazar vanished into thin air, Lucifer showed a troubled expression.

“I will need to keep a close eye on him.”

Lucifer watched closely over Nazar for the next few weeks.

On January first, when Nazar revealed his plan to Aarin, Lucifer watched from above him.

Lucifer watched as Nazar called down meteors and then save the world.

Once Nazar left to get rid of the meteors, Lucifer landed on the rooftop near Aarin.

“Did you hear that?”

Aarin said without looking back.

“Yes.”

“Did you noti--”

“The change in his personality? Yes.”

Aarin turned around.

“I am worried about him.”

“I will keep a close eye on him.”

Sunday, 7th of March 2021:

Lucifer watched as Nazar saved the world from the Gunslingers.

He watched as Nazar called down the Heavenly Lights.

There was nothing out of the ordinary.

Monday, 8th of March 2021:

Lucifer watched as Nazar change another world.

However, something did happen.

Later that night, when the princess came out to the balcony, Lucifer noticed something.

“A sudden change in his energy output…”

Lucifer watched closely as Nazar acted differently.

“For someone as loyal as him… That’s…”

Tuesday, 9th of March 2021:

On a weird planet which looked like it came out of a game, Nazar was standing face to face with a woman.

She had snow like face with purple eyes and silver hair.

She identified herself as Rina Greenphord.

Nothing was out of the ordinary until Lucifer noticed that Nazar’s memory was being wiped. It was different from the last time.

Last time, it looked like it was internal but this time, it seemed like someone else was doing it.

Lucifer tried to trace it but he couldn’t.

As he was tracing the attacker, he noticed something.

Everything went black.

After a few hours, the darkness will vanish and Lucifer would find nothing there.

“Huh?”

Lucifer looked for Nazar but couldn’t find him.

He also searched for the planet, but he couldn’t find it or any records of the planet.

For the next few days, Nazar would vanish without a trace for a few hours.

For the next few weeks, Lucifer kept a close eye on Nazar.

On the 2nd of May, when Emma was turned into a demon, Lucifer watched even more closely.

He was on his guard to stop Nazar if he goes berserk.

However, that didn’t happen.

“What…?”

There has been an incident in the past in which Emma got into a little trouble but Nazar went berserk.

And then he started acting like a God. Creating and destroying worlds, universes and concepts as he pleases.

After a while, they talked him back into normalcy.

Nazar then went into self-exile into another dimension for a few days. However, years and years had passed for him.

Coming back, he hated everything about his Godhood. And never wanted to play a God. Ever again.

Lucifer was worried he will forget that and reach that status again.

He is not worried because that’s Nazar’s rightful place, but he is worried what he will do again.

Last time, for a short time, Nazar had gotten rid of the concept of angels and demons. And of course, it had caused the universe a great deal of trouble.

Now, Lucifer was confused as to why Nazar did not reach that state.

Nazar didn’t seem too bothered by Emma being taken over by a demon.

“I see…”

Lucifer used the data he had collected from observation.

“Something is wrong.”

Many days later, Lucifer went to help Nazar against the Seven Deadly Sins.

But they vanished.

Nazar was not bothered by something like that either.

So, Lucifer went to meet the oldest beings in existence and seek their help.

With their help and Aiht’s, Lucifer managed to find out what had happened.

One personality of Nazar wants to be a God.

“And if that were to happen…”

Lucifer, in front of the oldest beings in existence, said with a worried look.

“We could all be in trouble.”
