Chapter 38 - Rise of the Demon King - Part 8
Lucifer's Dimension:
In Lucifer’s dimension, he was sitting down in his study.
It was a large study which contained over a million books.
He has nigh-omnipresence and nigh-omniscience so he knows almost everything but even then, once in a while, he sits down and read some books on old beings who no longer exists. Of course, he takes it from the Eternal Library.
Sitting down alone in his study, he felt something. Something ominous.
With a serious expression, he stood up.
Walking outside of his mansion, he found a massive four-headed demon in front of it.
“Lucifer.”
Seeing him, Lucifer just sighed.
“What do you want, Demon King?”
Slowly flying up, Lucifer smiled.
“I came to say ‘hi’.”
Floating in front of one of the four faces of the Demon King, Lucifer narrowed his eyes.
“I have a question...”
The Demon King smiled thinly.
“Are you as powerful as people make you out to be?”
“That depends on who you ask.”
“I was thinking… ”
Around Lucifer, a dark energy sphere appeared.
“Can you withstand my Dream Sphere?”
The Demon King laughed as Lucifer could no longer be seen by the naked eye.
“God couldn’t do it with a mere robot’s help, so let’s see if an angel can do it.”
The Demon King watched the sphere very closely.
“That robot...”
He clicked his tongue.
“She is formidable… Hrm?”
He was watching the sphere closely but something happened.
It had vanished from his sight.
With an angry look on his face, Lucifer stared at the Demon King in his eyes.
“A Dream Sphere? Did you really think that I wouldn't be able to withstand such a simple attack?”
Clenching his fist, Lucifer moved.
He was moving at a speed that the Demon King could not keep up with.
Lucifer was an angel. Then he was a fallen angel. However, around 21 years ago, he was upgraded by Nazar. Right now, he is an angel, a fallen angel, a demon and a God.
However, he is not using his angel, fallen angel, demon or God powers.
“Here is the thing, Demon King...”
The Demon King was punched in the face.
“Argh!”
The Demon King shouted in pain as the bones in his face were broken.
The Demon King’s body tensed up in surprise once he saw his broken teeth flying by.
“I never have to use my full power. Even without those upgrades… I am more than enough.”
The Demon King could hear Lucifer but he couldn’t trace it.
“Raaghghghg!!”
Shouting, he swung his arms around.
However, in the next instant, he cried out in pain.
“Argh!! My… My arm?!?!”
Lucifer had ripped off his arms.
“Argh!”
Feeling intense pain, he found out his wings has been broken too.
Lucifer then shot a massive beam of energy which scraped his ear.
In the next instant, the Demon King fell onto the ground because both of his legs went missing.
As the massive body fell on Lucifer’s mansion, it broke everything.
“Argh… Ahh… LUC--”
Standing on his chest, Lucifer smiled thinly as his red eyes glowed up.
“Did you really think you stood a chance against me?”
Shooting an energy beam from his eyes, the Demon King lost one of his eyes.
“At the end of the day, you are just an idiot who thinks they can stand a chance against me. Since I have been freed by Nazar from the clutches of the Supreme One...”

Spikes came out of the ground and stabbed the Demon King in the back.
Crying out in pain, he tried to move but it was impossible.
“I have noticed how powerful I truly am. I am on a similar level as them. They have a few powers as the elders which I don’t...”
Lucifer crouched down and looked closely as the Demon King.
“But if I really, really, really wanted to battle them...”
Chains came out of nowhere and strapped the Demon King to the ground.
“And stopped holding back...”
The Demon King felt something.
He was being pulled out of here.
But to where?
“I would be able to kill both of them and Archangel Michael at their full power.”
The Demon King forgot about the pain as he felt a chill ran down his body.
The look in Lucifer’s eyes was serious.
He was not joking.
“But!”
Lucifer stood up.
“I try to never play seriously...”
He looked up to the never-ending blue sky.
“Unless I am fighting Nazar.”
The Demon King forgot about the pain temporarily once Lucifer said that.
"You... He... What?"
The Demon King didn't want to believe what Lucifer had said.
“Your binding… That will keep you down for a few weeks.”
With a slight movement in Lucifer’s finger, the Demon King was forcefully teleported to Hell.
Lucifer looked around and sighed.
“What a pain...”
With a wave of his hand, everything was back to normal.
The destroyed mansion and the ruined garden was back to normal.
“To think he wanted to feed off my nightmares…”
Scratching the back of his head, he sighed.
“I am not that weak.”
He walked into the mansion as nothing had happened.

Sixth Dimensional Plane of Existence:
The Sixth Dimensional Plane of existence. Or the Sixth Dimension.
There was a time when this dimension was empty. But the Supreme One had to sacrifice many angels to try and stop Lucifer when he first became a fallen angel.
They were offered a chance to come back as the Gods - and most of them took it.
Nazar appeared in this dimension.
It is nothing but bright white light.
However, that is only true if you don’t have enhanced vision for it.
Adjusting his vision to the sixth dimensional plane of existence, he can see past the bright white light.
Nazar was floating above a town that looked like it came out of a fantasy story.
Despite looking a little fantasy type town, it was shining like diamonds. Of course, it was not made of diamonds, but the whole dimension was shining.
There were houses and shops. And temples - which is essentially a prison. It has
Right next to the town was a large ocean full of blue water. Looking at, Nazar thought it was the most beautiful thing ever. Even the wasters were shining.
In the opposite direction of the ocean were large mountains and forests.
This world was constructed by the most powerful goddess, Esme, the leader of the Gods.
Beneath him were people who all looked like they were in their 20s.
Nazar landed in the small town.
"Hi, Nazar."
Nazar was greeted by a very tall and muscular man.
He was around 2.20 meters tall. Looking at him from afar, you would probably mistake him for someone like the Hulk.
He had black hair and black eyes. He also has a short beard and moustache.
He was Orion, the God of War.
Powered by anger, hatred, conflict and war, he is one of the most powerful Gods.

"Hi, Orion."
"What are you doing here?"
“Have you heard anything about the Demon King?”
“Dem--”
“Demon King?”
Before Orion could answer, a thin and muscular woman slowly landed in front of Nazar.
With beautiful pink hair and hazel eyes, she stared Nazar in the eyes.
That beautiful combination of hair colour and eye colour went very well with her light skin.
She was standing at 1.78 meters tall, just two centimetres shorter than Nazar, so she didn’t have to look up to him or down on him.
Despite her muscular and tall figure, she was also very beautiful and had a lot of feminine features.
Seeing her serious expression, Nazar frowned.
“Unlike most beings… I thought you world know something, Esme,” Nazar said as his shoulders drooped in
She was Esme, the leader of the Gods. And one of the most powerful beings in existence.
“I am well aware of him, Nazar.”
Nazar raised his shoulders once more and stood straight.
Instead of being worried, he looked excited.
“Do you?!”
“Yes, I do. He is the Demon King.”
“And?”
Seeing the anticipated look in his eyes, she smiled thinly.
“Oh? So, you want answers?”
With a smug look on her face, Nazar knew he couldn’t get the answer out of her.
“Please?”
“And what will I get in return?”
“My lov-- I will give you what you desire the most.”
With a blank look on her face, she said, “You were going to say--”
“No, no,” Nazar said frantically as he waved his hands in front of him. “I was going to say… Uh.. er...”
Feeling a cold sweat pour down on his face, Nazar averted his gaze.
Esme leaned forward a little and stared at him intently.
Scratching his cheek, he said, “Y-you know… It’s…”
“So, who is this Demon King?”
Hearing Orion’s question, she stood straight and sucked in a breath.
“A few days ago, I felt a new being come into existence. After a short while, I could no longer feel them. Just like I cannot feel you, Lucifer and a few other beings.”
“Oh?”
Nazar looked at her with a serious expression.
“So, what you are telling me is...”
“For an instant, he was just a normal demon.”
“Then who except me...”
Nazar bit his lip as he thought.
(Can it be the Supreme One… But if I remember correctly that dimension restricted his powers. Lucifer? Nah. Michael…? Now he can… but he doesn’t have his powers. Then who?)
“I sensed similar energy.”
Tilting his head in confusion, Nazar asked, “Similar?”
“Yours and Arosus.”
Nazar’s heart skipped a beat.
“Aro...sus…?”
Widening his eyes in horror, Nazar noticed his heartbeat was increasing.
“No… He would not do it… Right?”
Seeing the troubled look on his face, Esme placed both of her hands on his shoulders.
“Listen here, he is not the one. I promise you. It did not feel like him… But what’s with your reaction?”
Nazar touched his face.
He noticed the temperature of his face was very high.
(If it's Arosus doing this... Then does that mean everything so far has been... And he is working with that "Goddess" Michael mentioned...)
Nazar shook his head.
“Ah… It’s n-nothing.”
(No, that's impossible. Arosus wouldn't do this... right?)
Nazar turned off his emotions and Esme noticed the change.
She knew something was wrong but didn’t want to ask him about it anymore.
“Anyway, where is Arael?”
Removing her hands from his shoulders, she thought.
“Hmm….”
She looked toward the mountains.
“I think he went to the mountains.”
“Oh okay.”
Nazar looked towards the mountains too.
Esme glanced over to him with the corner of her eyes.
His emotions were back to normal.
He needed just a few seconds to change his mindset.
For a few seconds, he thought that Arosus might have gone rogue. And if Arosus does, it can only mean one thing: the end of everything.
Nazar created Arosus to put almost all of his omnipotent power into him. They also share the same memories, knowledge and physical features. However, Nazar doesn't share Arosus' memories or knowledge. It's because Nazar doesn't want to know everything about the omniverse.
Arosus also has all the knowledge of the time when Nazar became omnipotent. So, he is the all-knowing and all-powerful version of Nazar.
So, Nazar was scared that if Arosus did this, then things might mean the end of everything.
Of course, Nazar might be able to do something but it will be too late.
And the only way to get rid of Arosus is to merge with him, which means he will become the all-powerful and all-knowing being once more.
Looking at the mountain, Esme frowned.
"Oh for the love of… here we go again."
Nazar saw the trees in the mountain break apart.
He saw the mountains shatter in a distance.
"Ah, fu--"
Before he could do anything, he was punched in the face by a powerful God.
Flying through countless mountains that appeared out of nowhere, Nazar finally regained his footing.
"To think you would come here…"
He hears a cold voice from above him.
"Let's see who wins."
Standing up in the ruins of the mountain, Nazar sighed.
"Nice to see you again, Arael."
Arael was a tall man about 1.90 meters tall.
He was a light brown-skinned muscular man with brown hair and brown eyes.
Arael was also a very handsome man with a perfectly shaped face.
Unlike Orion, he didn't have any facial hair.
Arael was the God of Power, making him one of the most powerful Gods and one of the most powerful beings in existence.
"We have battled hundreds of times… but this time, I will be the winner."
Nazar just rolled his eyes.
"You know what… With zero wins from each side… Yeah, let's settle who wins."
Seeing Nazar with a serious expression, he narrowed his eyes and smiled thinly.
"Let's gooooo!!"
Shooting themselves towards each other, they started their battle.
As they clashed, the whole dimension shook to its core.

Hell:
The Demon King was bound with chains.
Chains that burnt with fire that was greater than anything else the Demon King has felt.
It was burning his flesh.
Crying out in pain, for the last few hours the Dullahans has been trying to save him.
But.
They couldn't do anything.
The Demon King couldn't even move.
He could see his limbs near him.
His body should have been healed by now but those chains are keeping it busy.
The healing factor heals his burns as soon as it happens, so it does not have time to regrow his limbs.
“LUCIFERRRRRR!!! I WILL KILL YOU THE… ARGH!!”
Once he said Lucifer’s name, he noticed that the chains got even hotter than before. He felt even more pain.
“LUCIFER!!”
He felt increased pain.
“Huh?”
With a wide-open mouth, his eyes opened to reality.
He can’t even take his name without feeling increased pain.
It was at that moment, the Demon King realised something; he should have stayed away from Lucifer.

Planet-Eater Reincarnation (in Star Wars)
He wakes up without being able to see, taste or hear. Or even smell! But, after developing an eye for himself, he's able to recognize two facts: one, he is no longer human, and two, he's not on Earth anymore. He's in the middle of an asteroid field, stuck on a moderately large one with nothing around him but endless space. Heck, he's not even in the solar system! And now it's up to him to grow larger and stronger in order to avoid being eaten. Going by the leviathan-sized creatures swimming about the asteroid field, he has a long way to go before he can so much as try to live calmly. ---- Don't let the fanfiction tag scare you off. This only barely takes place in that universe since I like the basics of the lore and nothing more. It will barely feature a single prominent character, and the focus will mostly just be on the main character trying to grow himself out of danger, in the meantime denying the very idea that he could possibly be lonely. The first few dozen chapters will entirely focus on him growing from almost a gnat all the way to a real asteroid-eater. After that, an actual story will appear. Got the idea when I was reading the 2017 Darth Vader comic and my mind suddenly flashed back to that scene in the original trilogy when they're in some asteroid field and almost get eaten by a big monster. I loved that scene, and my inhibitions will no longer chain me. Enjoy, but don't take this too seriously.

Leftover Apocalypse
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] This is a story about the newly-adult Calliope Smith having a terrible day that ends in her getting mysteriously teleported from Phoenix, Arizona to a fantasy world where her life is in constant danger. She considers this an upgrade. Someone evil is looking for her, and she doesn't know why. Someone who seems to know a lot about her has promised they'll help her, but she doesn't know who they are. All that matters to Callie is that magic is real and one way or another she's going to learn it. The end of the world is coming up, sure, but Callie won't need to worry about that. In fact, by the time she even finds out about it one of the doomsday devices will already be destroyed, and the authorities will be well on the way to dealing with the other one. It's fine. Everything will be smooth sailing. Almost certainly. Probably. Chapters are usually about 2500-3500 words, and the goal is to post 2-3 per week but I sometimes get busy or have some writers block. It's your standard portal fantasy / Isekai premise, but unlike some the main character's time on Earth and how she got pulled into another world will (eventually) be explored. Some slight GameLit-feeling stuff later, no menus or level-ups but there's something suspiciously like a skill tree when the magic system gets going. No number crunching, and while the main character will get to do some silly stuff she won't be a god like in some fics (and will in fact spend a lot of time being badly outclassed by her enemies). Some reader interaction, ranging from adding to the worldbuilding to occasionally making big important decisions about skill progression. Please note that the main character is flawed and impulsive, and will make some stupid decisions. That's part of the story, but I get that it's not for everyone. Trigger Warnings: Foster care system references, crappy parenting. Some mental health adjacent stuff, specifically the main character has some issues where she experiences varying levels of empathy and emotional vulnerability depending on the day (it's complicated and not meant to portray any real-world conditions). Occasional violence including mention of death and grievous bodily harm, but no detailed descriptions of gore.
