Chapter 7 - Sins - Part 3
Chias, Chochica Empire:
Baros in his shiny armour was standing on top of a roof with Lian.
“”
“”
He looked back at her and saw her doing nothing.
She was just standing with her hands tied behind her back.
“”
On his face, a confused expression appeared.
She pointed up towards the sky with her index finger.
Baros followed her finger and looked up.
As he did, he sucked in a breath.
“”
What he saw was a massive green magical circle above them.
“”
“”
He realised something.
Something was off here.
“”
“” Lian said as she nodded with a smile.
“”
These colours only relate to angelic magic. Demonic magic is completely different.
“”
On Lian’s face, a proud smile appeared.
“”
“”
“”
Baros started to look surprised again.
Before he even noticed it, she had already fired the energy beam.
Low sand rang throughout the area and Baros immediately looked back only to find a massive beam of bright green energy.
“”
He was truly stunned at this.
“”
“”
Baros took a deep breath as he stood on the edge of the roof.
The energy beam vanished and he immediately jumped down.
He stabbed his sword and the barrier of the seven people vanished.
As the barrier broke, his sword stabbed into the head of one of them.
Baros felt a little happy since he found out that they are not invincible.
He was still in mid-air but his sword was going deeper into one of them.
He took out his sword and jumped back a little.
He landed on the ground and swung his sword so the blood can fall off it.
However.
He noticed something.
There was no blood.
He looked closely at his sword and then the person he had stabbed.
That person was perfectly fine.
They were still standing and looking at him while repeating a sentence.
“”
“”
“”
“”
“”
“”
“”
The sentence was repeated by them in order.
“”
Baros swung his sword and cut off the legs of a few people before him.
They fell to the ground.
He moved at supersonic speed before more people could block his way.
There was no one in front of him for a second.
He had a clear shot.
And he took it.
His sword slashed through the heads of the seven people.
They should be dead now.
But once Baros looked back, he found something unexpected.
Their heads were supposed to fall down to the ground but it never reached the ground. Their heads were reconnecting with the bodies once more.
“”
Two wings appeared behind Baros and he flew up.
After a little while, he stopped and looked down once more.
His sword vanished.
He raised his hands above his head.
He started chanting a spell.
Then above him, hundreds of red magical circles appeared.
“”
(“Don’t!”)
He heard a voice inside his head.
(“I know how to get rid of it.”)
“”
BOOM!
He heard a sonic boom.
Before he could even react to that, a figure was shown flying down.
But immediately after, he couldn’t see anything except for bright white light.
လလလ
Lian watched Baros as he ‘killed’ one of them.
“”
She trailed off when she found out that none of them was killed.
Then she saw Baros cut off the legs of a few people.
She clicked her tongue when she saw him do that.
“”
She remembered that she has killed a lot of innocent people in her life too.
So, she didn’t really feel bad about this.
But then all of a sudden she saw Baros fly off.
It was too fast for her to see what he did.
He jumped back and then the next thing she knew he was flying off.
“”
She looked up and tried to follow him but he has already vanished from her view.
Her body tensed up once she saw those magic circles.
“”
Immediately after she heard a sonic boom.
She saw the magic circles vanish.
“”
She didn’t even get any time to feel a little relaxed.
It is because the roof shook as soon as Nazar landed on the ground.
He landed next to the seven people with enough force that most people lost their footing.
Even Lian fell down on top of the roof.
“”’
She covered her eyes because there was bright energy that covered the whole place.
“”
She gritted her teeth.
“”
All of this happened in mere seconds.
လလလ
Nazar left the room not too long ago.
He teleported to outside the city.
He flew above it and saw what the situation was.
He always found the seven people and flew close to them.
As he was flying, he placed a barrier around the whole city.
“Now then...”
While flying, he held his palms together and between it, an energy ball appeared.
The energy ball started to increase in size.
He held it in one hand and then started to land.
(Maybe I should slow down a little… Eh, fuck it!)
He landed on the ground and smashed the energy ball on the ground.
A bright white light exploded.
The explosion from the energy ball covered everything inside this barrier in less than a second.
(That should do the job.)
Soon, the bright white light vanished and the people fell to the ground. Only those who were affected fell to the ground.
And for the first time, these seven people started to look confused.
They looked at one another.
“”
“Don’t worry. You can’t.”
Nazar stood up.
(My barrier is blocking all forms of magic for these people. Now they shouldn’t be too hard to take care of.)
A smile appeared on his face.
“No one can.”
These seven people looked around and saw everyone was lying down.
They also noticed that green energy was covering everyone.
But Nazar understood.
They didn’t say anything but he knew what they were thinking.
“I am healing all of them.”
These seven people looked at Nazar.
They kept staring at Nazar.
Nazar’s smile vanished.
These seven people averted their eyes from Nazar and looked around.
Nazar was confused as to what they were trying to do.
They looked at one another once more.
“Oh, is it because you cannot control these people?”
No, that was not it.
Nazar noticed something.
Something that shouldn’t be possible.
Nazar waved his hand.
“Well don’t worry, you are going to die next.”
He knew something was wrong but he didn’t show it on his face.
The ground split in half.
These seven people were swallowed in it and it was back to normal.

Even though other people should have fallen into it, but it didn’t happen.
They didn’t even move.
“Weird. Their magical energies didn’t vanish at all. It didn’t lower down.”
He wanted to buy a little time so he made the earth swallow them.
Nazar surveyed his surrounding.
The people were healing perfectly fine.
And they could not be controlled since they were inside an anti-magic barrier.
But.
“Why did their power not lower down?”
Nazar looked at the rooftop where Lian was.
He was about to fly towards her.
However, something else happened.
“Woah!”
The ground started to shake.
It shook violently.
“No!”
Before he could even react, seven beams of energy shot out upwards from the ground.
These very small purple energy beams shot up.
Nazar could feel the heat from it.
“Noooooo!” Nazar shouted out.
He forced the muscles in his body and moved.
He ran towards the people laying down.
(No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no….)
The beams of energy were getting bigger and bigger.
Magic shouldn’t exist inside this barrier.
But for some reasons, these seven people were unaffected.
They were using and emitting magical energies despite it not existing in this place.
The seven beams which were apart earlier started to come closer to one another.
(What?!)
Nazar didn’t have time to worry about that.
(Za Wardo-- SHUT UP! This is no time for jokes.)
“STOP!” Nazar shouted on top of his lungs.
The world froze.
Everything froze.
Time froze.
He stopped time and tried to move these unconscious people out of here.
But those beams didn’t stop.
(I stopped time and yet these energy beams are not affected by it?)
The beams merged together.
And it started to expand.
A few people got caught and they were instantly incinerated with this massive beam of energy.
Hundreds of people were lying down where these seven people stood a few seconds earlier.
But now there was barely any left.
(Accessing Nazar 2.0.)
Nazar’s form changed completely.
His flesh vanished and was replaced by energy.
The colour of energies that made him up was different. It was a combination of hundreds of different types of energies and each one had its own colour. And it looks like hundreds of different colours had come together that were moving freely in this small space with a silhouette of a man.
(Please...)
His speed increased significantly.
He moved around the beam and picked up one of the bodies.
He carried it to the rooftop.
Nazar did it while running.
If he flies, it will lower the time.
And if he tries to teleport them, it will be even longer.
If he uses teleportation, he will need to carry out many different calculations before he can move them. He has to figure out their height, width, weight, and do other calculations if he wants to move them. And that will take a long time.
So...
(Enter light speed.)
All of a sudden, his speed increased even further.
He moved around the energy beam and picked up the bodies and placed them on top of a roof.
(Ah…?)
He was about to turn around and take away other people, who were lying down farther away from these seven people but something else happened.
The beam vanished.
The energy beam was no longer to be seen.
Nazar exhaled slowly as he saw the beam vanish. Of course, he couldn't exhale in this form but in his mind, he did it.
He thought it was over.
He felt a little relaxed to know no more people will die at the moment.
He surveyed his surrounding once more.
There was a massive hole in the ground where the beam of energy was shot up.
“Damn...”
The hole’s diameter was a few meters wide.
Nazar took a deep breath.
“I need to evacuate...the... ”
Nazar started to trail off.
In this frozen world, a hand came out of the ground.
A hand that did not look like the hand of a man.
Nazar sucked in a breath.
He started to move towards the hand.
However, he was too slow.
Six other hands came out too.
He wanted to get closer to see what they were.
But.
With a blink of an eye, the seven people were standing on the ground.
People?
No.
They looked different.
They resemble something that can only be described as monsters.
They were over 3 meters tall dark grey monsters with red eyes.
There were two horns on their head.
They had over 10 limbs.
And each one of them was holding a double-edged battle axe. Some of them were resting their battle axes on their shoulder while the others were holding it in their hands.
“We are back!” One of them said.
They spoke in a language Nazar knew.
(No. It can’t be...)
It wasn’t English. He knew that. It wasn't any language known to Nazar. But for some reasons, he could understand them. He wasn't using his omnilingualism but he knew what they were saying.
“What manner of creature are you?”
“Doesn’t matter… We will kill him.”
These seven monsters exchanged glances and then laughed.
“Then we will kill Lucifer.”
But that was not was made Nazar freeze in his place.
(Their power levels are increasing...)
He saw their power levels increase and increase.
Nazar, who has withstood the destruction of a universe before… He, who have fought demons, angels and gods...
For the first time in a long time, he felt like he could not take care of them on his own. He has faced someone of this calibre before but only defeated them with the help of Lucifer or another angel.
Looking at their energies, they seem to be far above the likes of high-class demons.
Perhaps, if they wanted to, they could easily destroy this whole universe.
He should be covering in fear.
The monsters thought.
This small fry will not be trouble at all.
The monsters thought.
But something unexpected happened.
Nazar returned to his normal form.
And on his face, a thin smile appeared.
“Finally!”
He cracked his knuckles.
“Something exciting.”
The monsters looked at him.
Their laugh vanished.
It was replaced by confused looks.
“This is gonna be fun.”
Nazar cracked his neck without using his hands.
The monsters exchanged confused glances.
They were confused but Nazar couldn’t hide his excitement.
His smile was getting wider and wider.
His heart started to beat faster and faster.
“Let’s do this!”
Nazar shot himself towards these monsters.

Gaslgiht
There is a common line of questioning that falls upon students within their first moments at Kingsly. “Why?”. The student asks, “Why am I here?”. This is a futile line of questioning. There are those who remember, and those who do not. I’ll spare you the technical explanation — that’s what we have teachers for. The jist is as follows: those who remember are... how do I put this... more likely. They occupy more time. and the space that time has allowed them — the pertinent amount — is experienced no matter what. Allow me to offer you a bit of personal information: I am not one who remembers. There is no time relevant to me, no space that I occupy. I exist by carving myself here, and continue to exist in the same fashion. You would do well to follow suit. Why am I here? Because I force myself to be. Because the universe, the universes, for all its kicking and screaming, cannot escort me out.
