Chapter 6 - Sins - Part 2

Chias, Chochica Empire:

A world that was soon to be engulfed by chaos.

And its King was sitting in a room waiting for someone to wake up.

Nazar listened to Solace’s report.

He stood up.

“Interesting,” Nazar said to himself.

He looked at Emma was who was lying down on the bed once more.

“Keep a close eye on her. Let me know--”

He trailed off because something happened to Emma.

Her eyes opened.

Nazar couldn’t help but be happy.

“Emma?”

“Food...”

As soon as she opened her eyes, she said that.

Nazar was confused, so he looked at Solace.

Solace just shrugged.

“Food...”

Emma looked at Nazar and jumped from her bed.

Nazar’s eyes widened in surprise.

He thought the demon might still have some control over her.

But then he remembered what Solace said.

A lot of people keep repeating ‘food’ over and over again.

As Emma was still jumping towards her, Nazar placed a barrier around her and stopped her.

She was floating in midair, thanks to a force field.

“Hm? There is something wrong with her brainwaves.”

“Oh?”

“Yep. And is everyone like this?”

Solace thought about her answer.

She was looking through the data she had received.

“Pretty much.”

“Oh, I see.”

He looked closely at her sister who was still saying ‘food’.

“Then it’s time to experiment.”

“Huh?”

“I need to find out how to set her free and then I will use that method to set everyone else free too.”

“Oh.”

Nazar placed Emma back on the bed.

She struggled to move but Nazar didn’t care.

“Now then, let’s see what’s wrong with her.”

At the centre of the chaos, Baros arrived.

He was floating above the hospital.

He was floating with the help of two energy-based wings.

He held out his right hand and in it, his sword materialised out of nothing.

He raised his other hand and held the sword with both of his hand.

The sword was already glowing with white energy, but in every passing second, it started to glow brighter and brighter.

He closed his eyes and the wings vanished.

Baros started to fall very fast towards the ground.

As he was falling, his armour started to glow too.

He had received a report about how the soldiers lost control once they got in contact with the seven people.

But that was not all.

Unlike them, he could see the energies of people.

And right now, he could see the immense energy of these seven people.

It was dark purple energy that was invisible to everyone except a few who can see energies.

“” he muttered to himself

In the last ten weeks, a planet of Chochica Empire has been attacked in a similar fashion.

So, they started to investigate but so far they haven’t found anything.

And since Nazar thwarted all of their plans, no one really took the investigations seriously.

Why would anyone? They had a being far above the gods protecting them.

And even now when they found out about these seven people, they didn’t ask Nazar directly.

It is because they thought they could defeat these people by themselves.

As Baros was falling, he saw something happen.

All of a sudden, hundreds of people rushed towards the seven people and covered them.

This way, Baros cannot kill them.

He was still falling towards the seven people but there were people now.

So, it made his landing a little difficult.

He could have a teleported using a teleportation spell, but he was falling from this height because he wanted to unleash as much as power as he could.

He was going to stab his sword in the ground and it would unleash a wave of energy that will help clear the minds of everyone.

The more force applied to the ground via the sword, the bigger the wave will be.

He wanted to stab is as close to the seven people as possible because he wanted to increase its effectiveness. And also because it was the centre of the chaos, so it would go in each direction equally.

Baros was still falling but he didn’t care.

He tightened his grip on the sword.

He accepted that he would do it.

He was only a few hundred meters away from the ground.

So, he was going to reach that place in a few seconds.

Even though he had accepted that he still analysed the surrounding areas.

Most of the free space was filled with people.

And he knew that there were people inside the building, so he didn’t want to fall on that either.

He was still looking around but by every passing second, the number of people in this free space was increasing.

So, he narrowed his eyes and aimed for the seven people.

His sword was getting brighter and brighter.

He was pouring every ounce of magical energies he had into it.

He was getting closer and closer.

He looked closely at the people he was about to kill.

For the greater good, he said.

He increased the magical energies in his sword.

His speed increased even further.

He tightened his grip on the sword even more.

He was about to stab the sword into one of these seven people.

He was about to do it.

It would kill one of them straight away and hurt the other one.

He was about two meters above the ground.

The sword was about to stab into one of them.

But something happened.

A shield appeared above the seven people. A dark purple barrier appeared on top of these seven people like a dome.

And instead of hitting one of the people, his sword stabbed into the shield.

But it was not useless.

As the sword stabbed into the shield, he released all the energies from it.

A massive burst of bright white energy covered many miles.

It was a blinding light.

He gritted his teeth.

All of a sudden, the seven of them looked at him with lifeless eyes.

“” Baros repeated that in a confused manner.

He didn’t care enough, so he jumped back.

Baros held the sword in his right hand and jumped back. He was now standing on top of the two storey building.

He looked at the people and they were all unconsciousness.

“”

He noticed something.

Baros gritted his teeth even more.

“”

He continued to look around in confusion.

There was also some anger mixed into it.

All of a sudden he heard a voice behind him.

He looked back and saw Lian.

“”

Baros frowned.

“”

“”

Before Baros could finish, he saw something.

He couldn’t react in time.

But it was already too late.

The unconscious people starting to stand up.

“”

It was Lian’s time to be confused.

It was too late to respond.

Baros bit his lip and jumped down.

He jumped on top of the seven people but that powerful barrier was still above them.

“”

He tried stabbing it with the sword but it was not working at all.

“Oh. I see how it is.”

Nazar was examining Emma.

“Food...”

“Oh shut up, you idiot!”

“You know she is not in the right mind, right?”

Nazar didn’t listen to what Solace was saying.

“So, what is it?”

“Hm?”

Nazar was confused about Solace’s second question.

He looked back at her in confusion.

“You said “Oh. I see how it is.” So, I was wondering what you meant by it?”

When Solace repeated Nazar’s sentence, she also used his voice.

Nazar made a disgusted expression once he heard his voice come out of her mouth.

“Please don’t do that again.”

"I definitely will," Solace replied immediately.

He looked back at Emma.

He placed his hand on her head.

“I can feel something overtaking her mind. It’s almost like a parasite.”

“Magical?”

Nazar looked closed.

He was currently looking at the energies inside Emma.

It wasn't x-rayed vision or anything like that. He couldn’t see her skin or bones but just the energies within her.

He was looking at the flow of energy inside her brain.

Among those energies, he saw something that didn’t belong.

The energies within her were similar to most humans but among it, there was something different.

Nazar could tell it was magic based but he wasn’t sure which type.

There are multiple types of magic that are known to people and they are angelic, demonic and normal magic.

But this was different.

“Maybe it's a combination of all of them?”

He removed his hand and his vision returned to normal.

“Let’s see if it's magic.”

He brushed his palms together as he smiled.

Then he looked at his palm.

“Breaker touch!”

He enabled one of his powers.

“Destroy any magic with the touch of my hand.”

With this power, he can destroy any form of magic as long as he touches it with his hand.

He placed his right hand on her forehead.

As soon as he did that, a static-like sound rang out through the room.

Of course, it was very low so most people wouldn’t be able to hear it.

“So, it was magic after all.”

Nazar looked back at Solace.

“Keep a close eye on her--”

“Nazar…?”

His eyes widened as he heard Emma’s voice.

(Shit! How do I explain this?) Nazar thought to himself.

He slowly turned around and saw Emma sitting up.

“Where am I?”

She said it very slowly as she held her head in her left palm.

It looked like she was in a little pain.

Nazar’s finger twitched and he healed her fully.

Emma felt the pain suddenly going away.

She looked at Nazar and then saw a busty woman who was only wearing a skintight bodysuit. Her body lines could be seen perfectly from it.

She then immediately looked at Nazar in confusion.

Nazar let out a sigh.

“I will explain everything later. Now, I have a city to save.”

Emma gave him a blank expression.

All of a sudden something happened.

“Eh?”

Nazar vanished into thin air.

Emma looked at Solace.

“Sigh. I am surprised he kept it a secret for 21 years. He slips up a lot.”

Emma still couldn’t believe what she saw.

She rubbed her eyes and looked around the room.

“Huh?”

She kept looking around the room, so Solace let out a sigh.

“Get some rest. He will explain everything soon.”

Emma, of course, was not listening to her.

“Children… I hate them.”

“Shut up! I am nearly 19, so I am not a child.”

“Is that so?”

“Anyway, what are you?”

Emma sounded annoyed.

Solace crossed her right arm around her chest and with her left hand, she rubbed her chin very slowly.

Then she smiled thinly.

“I am his sex toy.”

Emma’s eyes and mouth opened wide with disgust.

“............”

Solace laughed.

“Just kidding.”

Emma still had a disgusted expression on her face.

“I am an Artificial Intelligence.”

Emma lied down on the bed.

“I am gonna beat the shit out of him next time I see him. And he better explain everything.”

“Okay.”

"Actually, fuck that. Get him here right now."

Solace sighed again.
