“WHAT THE F*CK HAPPENED HERE?!”
Ted roared in anger. He was in disbelief from seeing two grown up thugs killed by a brat.
The boy, who was still panting, retrieved the glass piece from Baldy’s neck and pointed it at Ted and the thugs.
Although the boy couldn’t see their faces because it was dark inside the room, he knew that Ted was there because of his voice.
“Your turn!”
Bang!
The thunder rumbled deafeningly outside as lightning highlighted the boy’s standing figure on the bed.
The two thugs with Ted, Scar Face and Four Fingers, felt a sudden pressure. They didn’t know why, but when they saw the eyes of the boy that were filled with hatred…
No.
They were filled with determination. Those eyes told them that it would not end until either side died out.
“You are just f*cking lucky, how dare you!” Ted revealed his bloodlust. Clearly, he was a skilled fighter.
‘This situation isn’t good!’ The grimoire was able to sense the change in his aura.
Even the two thugs shivered in the face of Ted’s bloodlust, let alone the boy who was still a kid. The sudden pressure left him frozen on the spot. He couldn’t do anything because of the fear.
The boy gritted his teeth as he tightened his fists.
‘Remember, it’s do or die!’
The will to survive overwhelmed the feeling of fear. He got over the pressure and stood firmly on the bed.
“Heh, not bad holding up against my bloodlust,” Ted said in a mocking tone before turning toward the two thugs beside him. “What are you guys doing!? Go catch him!”
“Ye-yes boss!” The two of them hurriedly charge in, not daring to hesitate for even a second.
“How dare you! You will die a terrible death!” Scar Face shouted as he lunged forward toward the boy.
The boy looked at his surroundings, he grabbed an empty bottle and threw it to Four Fingers who was on the right side and threw the piece of glass in his hand toward Scar Face.
Four Fingers blocked the incoming bottle with his hands and Scar Face avoided the piece of glass by jumping to the side.

“Do you think you can hurt me wit-”
“Watch out, moron!” Ted shouted. Before Scar Face could finish his sentence, something rushed toward him and knocked him on the face.
Pa!
“Ugh!” The power of that attack from the grimoire was quite strong. Scar Face got nosebleed and directly fell to the floor after receiving a slap on the face with its’ hard cover.
“What was that?!” Four Fingers and Ted exclaimed in confusion.
‘A book? No, a grimoire? That brat can’t use magic, he has no mana! How come he could use a grimoire?’
“Get that grimoire! It would be worth a lot if we could sell it!” Ted shouted at his subordinates.
“O-okay, boss! Scar Face who was knocked by the grimoire replied as he wiped the blood from his nose.
On the other side, the boy was left with Four Fingers to fight.
“Die, you brat!” Four Fingers was closing in, but when he wanted to launch his punch, the boy threw a laundry nearby him to block his vision.
“Cheap trick!” He mocked and grabbed the piece of cloth and threw it aside. “Huh?!”
He was sure that the boy was in front of him, but the boy was nowhere to be seen on top of the bed.
“Above you, idiot!” Ted shouted.
Four Fingers hurriedly looked above him, the boy was leaping in the air, ready with the piece of glass in his hand.
“AAAAH!” The boy swung down his hands, aiming to stab at Four Finger’s head.
Four Finger wanted to launch a punch, but from behind, something knocked him on the head.
Pa!
“Agh!”
The grimoire was doing its best to keep assisting the boy. It flew around and hit the thugs every chance it got.
Knocked on the back of his head, Four Fingers lost his balance. His expression warped in horror.
“Sh*t!” He reflexively tried to cover his head, but it was in vain!
The boy was never aiming for his head from the very start. Instead, he was aiming for the back of his neck!
‘This could be dangerous! I should get rid of him as soon as possible!’ Realizing that he had underestimated the boy, Ted decided to make a move himself and charge at the boy.

Splat!
“AGH!” Four Finger fell to the ground with an expression of disbelief on his face.
A scream of pain followed. Ted, who had just started charging in after watching the whole time, was infuriated to have three of his subordinates killed by a mere brat! If the other hoodlums big shots learned about this, he would become a laughing stock of the underground world!
“F*CK! I’ll kill you!”.
Seeing Ted, who was his archenemy closing in with a face full of hatred, the boy was in panic again.
Ted’s face was initially blurred due to the darkness, but it slowly became clearer as he got closer.
The accumulated trauma that he went through was resurfacing in his heart. Making him tremble in fear.
He knew that he had to move in his mind, but his body didn’t want to listen to him.
The boy suffered a lot of beatings in the hands of Ted. He hated Ted, but at the same time, he deeply feared him as well.
Although the other thugs had beaten him up as well, it wasn’t to the point that he was scared of them. He just hated them and wanted nothing more than for them to vanish from the world.
‘MOVE! I NEED TO MOVE!’ Finally he could move his body, but before he could take back the glass piece from Four Fingers…
Bang!
“AGH!” The boy was hit on his stomach. Ted’s punch sent him flying backward before slamming against the bed. He vomited a mouthful of blood.
“F*cking brat, you’ve really done it!” Ted closed in once more, ready to launch a kick on the boy.
Pa!
“Guh! F*ck!” Ted cursed in anger, his head was slapped from the back by the grimoire making him lose his balance.
‘I-I can’t move…’
The boy wanted to use this chance to move his body, but he couldn’t. The impact of Ted’s punch just now was very powerful. The boy almost lost consciousness.
“TAKE CARE OF THAT GODDAMN BOOK!” Ted shouted angrily toward Scar Face.
‘This book is very troublesome to catch, just try it yourself!’ Scar Face grumbled in his heart.
He had already been in the grimoire’s mercy this whole time. His face was covered with bruises. However, he didn’t dare to say it out loud and could only do as he was ordered. “Ay-aye boss!”
Tap tap tap tap!
Footsteps were heard from the corridor and someone suddenly showed up at the door.
“Bo-boss! What happened!?”
“Good timing.” Ted said as he walked toward the boy. “Help Scar Face take care of that book!”
The guy who just went in was shocked when he saw the scene, although it was dark, the constant thunder outside helped lighten up the room enabling him to see what kind of situation was going on inside.
‘What?! Three guys died!?’ The thug who just came in exclaimed in shock. Although he couldn’t see their faces, clearly there were three dead bodies in the room.
“Th-that flying book? Ok-okay!” He quickly answered as he wiped the water from his face. He was drenched from top to bottom, clearly he had just arrived at the house.
‘At the worst timing of all time!’ The boy was in despair. At the most critical moment, the enemy had one more person joined in.
‘Oh no! This is dangerous!’ The grimoire thought and then flew toward Ted.
“Boss, watch out!”
“It ain’t going to work twice!” Ted suddenly turned back and hit the grimoire back, the grimoire was caught off guard, not expecting Ted’s face reflexes.
Bang!
“Get that book!”
Scar Face and the other guy who just came in hurriedly caught the grimoire and held it tight.
“Hahaha! Now you can’t pull any tricks!”
“What happened to your face?” The drenched thug asked in confusion.
‘What else if not getting beaten?’ Scar Face said in his mind as he rolled his eyes at the guy and not bothering to reply.
“Good!” Ted nodded and turned his gaze toward the boy. “You are f*cking done, brat.”

Journey of my Core
I have a hard time referring anything that I write to as 'Original'. The longer we as a species exist the harder it is to be truly original, I am certainly influenced by all that I read and watch Including but not limited to J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit, and all of the stories here on Royal Road. From the start the MC is only able to comprehend the most basic of what is impacting it with very little to no understanding of the MC's surroundings. There may be updates in the future, but I am in no way a consistant writer. I will never claim to be the best artist, but I drew a representation for my story. Procrastination... Procrastination... Conquest of Avalon
Revenge. The Kingdom of Avalon swept across the Empire of the Fox a generation past, conquering the heartlands and leaving the broken remnants to stew in the island duchy of Guerron. This isn't a story of Good versus Evil, of kindly kings doing their best to lift all subjects, or of unvarnished heroes doing battle against evil. Instead, this story is about power: who has it, who wants it, and what people will do to obtain it. It is about the violence inherent in the imperial project and how even the most well-intentioned rulers and conquerors are, still, engaging in systemic violence against those conquered and defeated. Our three point-of-view characters are a peasant turned fire wizard, an excitable duelist with more enthusiasm than sense, and a scheming mage-priestess bent on reclaiming her family's birthright and waging war on the foreign oppressors who rule her home... no matter the cost in blood or treasure.
