Bio: Born 1974 March 5 in United State of America. Raised in a well off family with a long lineage of military tradition Marcus grew up with a strong sense of morality. Always intervening in fights breaking out in school he found himself apart of them more often than defusing them. With a strong sense of right or wrong he became a compass for his close friends guiding them through whatever turmoil was afflicting them.
In his secondary schooling he became engrossed in paintball. Competing with a team of friends his combat ability was competent at best but it was his ability to read the situation that made him such an asset. Noticing every sound and movement he was able to paint a picture of the battlescape in his mind that he could read without misinterpretation. Pairing his extraordinary battle sense with his tactical aptitude he often dictated the story told by the battlefield once his friends caught onto his prowess.
Finding great success in the competitions he participated in he went to further his families military lineage by working his way into an officers program. During his education he found himself to be a textbook example of an excellent officer providing superb responses quickly resolving the challenges he was faced with.
Completing training as a highly capable candidate he was exposed to his first trial by fire shortly after. As a soldier he performed his role adequately however as an officer he found his theory quickly falling apart in practise. While reading the battlescape exceptionally well and providing quick and surgical plans he held very little presence on the field.

Under fire with the situation beginning to deteriorate Marcus desperately tried to affirm his command being met with limited success. His mediocre participation in the fight offered little respect from his comrades and his polite nature lacked the ability to demand action. As such only a few under his command saw merit in his decisions while the rest remained lost in the chaos of battle.
Surviving the fight with no dead though a few casualties brought his ability to command into question. Attempting to integrate him into support roles away from the front line resulted in a loss of what made him such an exceptional officer as he had to rely on others to be his eyes and ears over the radio preventing him from rapidly formulating precise decisions.
As such Marcus found himself in a sort of dead space where he was held up by his training scores though held back by his lack of presence. Growing frustrated with not being given the opportunity to prove himself in the field as a standard rifleman or allowed to be apart of higher level operations development he left the army to find an occupation where his skills would flourish.
Through a series of strange events Marcus found himself in the mercenary scene as a tactical advisor on the field. Forced into another firefight Marcus desperately tried to assert control of the situation only to find the under trained and ill disciplined forces he was fighting beside ignoring his orders. However a man by Yeti fighting alongside him saw the value of his orders and made sure every man followed his plan.
With Yeti bellowing out over the battlefield it took only a moment until everyone followed Marcus’s orders. With Yeti’s presence following Marcus’s every word the battle quickly followed his script ensuring no one ended up wounded and the objective was taken in a swift assault. At the end of the battle Marcus made sure to fight alongside the awe inspiring soldier who demanded respect with his actions ensuring Marcus’s orders would be carried through.

Over time the two men developed an unshakable cohesion where Marcus would provide what was required on the battlefield while Yeti procured the means to get it done from their men. After numerous battles the two agreed to form their own team to get the most out of their abilities. It wasn’t long until they formed a close knit team whose abilities covered any action required by a military force from standard battle duties to covert actions.
After numerous successful operations Marcus set out to provide one last big contract to provide the well earned reward of a comfortable life for his men. Seeing the zone as the perfect survival exercise he accepted a basic reconnaissance contract focussed on ecological reports. Being provided with a means of insertion and supplies with a decent payout for what the job required he eagerly stepped into the corrupt land.
The second the long grass swept along his shins however something felt terribly amiss. Performing their orders to the letter and surviving without issue nothing should’ve brought about such a feeling. It was unexplainable until the shear unbelievable nature of the zone revealed itself.
Creatures once human assailed them in the night and the nature of forces taken for granted fluctuated without care for reality. The absolute mind bending nature of the area threw a haze over the perfect image Marcus had for the battlescape he now found himself in. His orders became hesitant and reinforced with numerous back up plans that would be nothing short of paranoid in any other situation. No longer was he a confident commander without doubt.
Fighting on he did his best to provide his team with what he thought to be the best action though always questioning it. Though he maintained his teams respect in his decisions he knew it was only a matter of time till the zone threw something at him that he couldn’t provide an answer for and on that day the blood of the lost would be on his hands. Every cry followed with the overwhelming anxiety as to whether it was the right call. Only time would tell if the script he wrote would fall apart in the heat of battle.

Falling
It is often unclear when a thing comes to an end, the world itself no exception. In the event of the world ending, it was both abrupt and unnoticed, something down right confusing to most involved. Due to this confusion, we will quickly cover the short window of events that led to the destruction of the generally known universe, following the primary instigators to hopefully give the whole thing a little much needed context. ... Author’s Note: I intend to release regularly, hopefully weakly, within the planned three arcs. However, it may go on hiatus between arcs, but it should be clear that an arc has ended. Regardless, I currently plan to go on hiatus after the third arc, which is intended to be a natural breaking point. This is with the hope of not dropping off in the middle of narrative, and I am mentioning it now so no one is surprised if there are planned pauses. Content Warnings: I do not plan to include anything I would see as profanity, gore or traumatizing content. However, I do expect my bar for what qualifies is both above some people’s and below others. Therefore, I am including the Content Warnings so people are not surprised when my view is different. If you find something you do not like, I wish you luck in moving on without it farther concerning you. If I was not as extreme as you were hoping, I apologize for not meeting expectations. I have not marked sexual content, since I do not intend to include explicit sexual acts. However, sex and sexuality still exists and may come up as both an offscreen event or subject. Cover Art: The art work is by me, and I will take it down immediately at request from the artist.

Mobius
Far in the future, humans have thoroughly colonized space through the use of floating colonies and artificially replicating the Earth whenever possible. Most of these endeavors have gone well, with humanity spreading across the universe like the seeds of plants floating in the wind. Yet still there lurks the great mistake, the endless station of Mobius, a megastructure which hasn't ceased its building in over a century. Dante, a man living in this megastructure, is tasked with the recording of stories told by criminals, particularly those who travel between strata. One day, a prisoner is captured claiming to be Captain Pluto, an infamous criminal thought to be fictitious by most scholars. Even more curious, he claims to hail all the way from Stratum 56, a location so far away from Dante's Stratum 999 that it would take lifetimes to traverse such a distance. Dante must discern whether or not the story is false or true, and the longer he lets Captain Pluto speak, the more difficult his task becomes. *****Average chapter length will be 10k words give or take. This isn't a very serious story for me. I'm writing this to blow off steam. Updates will happen infrequently because of this, and it will most likely be unpolished unless I begin to take it more seriously.
