Bio: Born in France 1984 September 7. Benedict was born into a problematic family as a single child that saw him being raised by a single mother from the age of 5. Benedict's mother struggled to make ends meet occasionally but otherwise provided a decent lifestyle for her son. Benedict did meet his lifelong friend Valentine who became a brother to him due to his circumstances. Valentine was the child of one of his mother's friends. She would drop Benedict off at his friends place to be looked after while working long hours. Learning from a young age the importance of independence Benedict developed into a natural leader with a strong sense of character that often saw him in the spotlight for better or worse.

Attending a public school of poor reputation he saw himself in his fair share of fights with the local bullies who aimed to take advantage of Benedict's economic and family situation or ridicule Valentine. Benedict however maintained a positive outlook on life regardless of his conditions and antagonists with the support of his friend. Eventually he also developed a strong friendship with Collette during a walk home from school one day at the age of 11.

Not able to force any petty cash or satisfaction from Benedict the same bullies managed to corner Collette a well off student walking home from a private school. Tired of seeing the same children pick on whoever they could and pitying the seemingly defenseless child they were antagonizing Benedict launched himself into action. Though failing to beat the bullies and seeing himself pounded into the ground Valentine also joined the fray to protect his friend.

With the tide beginning to turn even Collette joined the fight to support the boys who so desperately tried to defend her. With the fight continuing for a minute police eventually spotted the brawl and attempted to intervene. Accepting being caught all the boys stopped their fighting without running to avoid further trouble, except for Collette who had broken into a dead sprint through an alleyway.

Turning to each other Benedict and Valentine followed her lead. Ducking, weaving and dashing past people and stalls scrambling over chain link fences managing to elude the police they collapsed onto the grass of a park laughing over the situation. After catching their breath Valentine questioned Collette's sudden panic on seeing the police. She replied that it wasn’t worth having her parents deadbolt her door if the police took her home. From that day the 3 friends enjoyed a variety of adventures throughout their childhood.

Coming to the end of his schooling laced with conflict the 3 joined the reservists looking for something more exciting in their lives. Benedict became apart of the UIR to directly defend his country if it came under attack while Valentine and Collette joined the USR in support roles more suited to their academic backgrounds. The 3 friends also completed a number of multi day hikes and survival challenges enjoying the simplicity of surviving in the wild. Training to specialize in hunting dangerous boars in the forests for days at a time their appetite for adventure grew as Benedict became an accomplished tactician in the reservists.

At the age of 18 he accidentally fathered a son with his girlfriend at the time. Upon his birth issues quickly arose between the two as Benedict attempted to sait his wanderlust. Eventually the two came to a final fight which saw Benedict leaving his partner. He loved his son but fearing he’d simply complicate the boy's life he maintained distance. Providing monetary aid for his would be family he still occasionally visited to astonish his son with the stories he’d bring back from his travels.

After conquering mount everest in 2008 at the age of 24 the group decided that the zone would be the ultimate test for their exploration and survival skills. Infiltrating with their trusted survival equipment and hunting weapons including back up pistols, shotguns and a semi automatic rifle they were introduced to the zone by operatives posing to be from the cerberus organization. Upon entering the operatives disappeared and the 3 friends were left on their own to survive. Though initially distressed Benedict was the first to rally his friends claiming this was the challenge they were looking for.

Marching through the zone on alert the group found their first prey. Successfully bringing the mutated boar down Collette began initially dissecting the boar to prepare it for cooking but found herself entranced by the creatures anatomy upon opening it up which Benedict dismissed for the most part as random mutation. It wasn’t until the group was ambushed by outlaws that he realized they were in far over their heads in what they could handle.

While sitting around a campfire cooking what meat was safe to eat from the boar Benedict found himself driven into the dirt from behind as another knocked Valentine out cold. Valentine came round as the 3 outlaws rummaged through their equipment taking an explicit interest in Collette. Against the other outlaws orders to leave after the smash and grab one began clawing at Collette’s protective suit.

Trying to rise up from the ground but finding himself pinned down by 1 of the 3 outlaws and a gun pressed against the back of his head a gunshot rang out. A cloud of blood erupted from the outlaw atop of Collette as she fired relentlessly into him. Feeling the outlaw pinning Benedict raise his rifle to finish Collette as the other restraining Valentine went to aid his wounded comrade Benedict took action. With lightning fast movement a coordinated sweep kick from the ground saw the outlaw miss what would have been a fatal shot to Collette as he fell to the ground.

With Valentine wildly dodging the mad slashes of the outlaw previously pinning him Benedict drew his pistol to wound Valentine's aggressor before the gun was knocked from his hands with the butt of a rifle. Bringing the gun round again to fire Benedict managed to disarm his aggressor and kick his pistol to Valentine as he was thrown to the ground and Collette pushed the dying man off herself. Another two shots rang out from Valentine as Benedict unbalanced and swept the outlaw to the ground forcing his head into the campfire. Valentine throwing Benedict's pistol back allowed him to cease the outlaws pained screams with a final gunshot ending the frantic fight as quickly as it started.

The terrors of the night had only begun unfortunately and shortly after shaking the shock of the moment off to grab the outlaws equipment terrifying aberrations of humans turned feral beasts appeared. With a soul piercing scream the next assault began as the group covered their sectors in a panic. Finding an opening in the onslaught Benedict ordered an immediate retreat where the 3 friends found themselves running for their lives through the forest stopping only to witness a tear in the night sky which looked to be bleeding followed by a tremendous groaning.

Unsure what it meant other than that it couldn’t be good the friends continued running before finding another pioneer panicked by the sight. Collette preparing to fire on sighting the man brought down her rifle on Benedict's order as the pioneer ordered them to follow him. Charging through the darkness arriving at a manhole leading into a collapsed tunnel the scream raged over the landscape finally breaking the group's resolve leaving them paralysed in terror. Once it passed the 3 looked to each other not sure what to feel apart from regret. Offering a canteen of water the man introduced himself as Noah and under his guide the 3 friends flourished in the zone.

Though the years were rough on the group of friends once the despair of not being able to escape had passed they found themselves well suited to surviving once being taught about the area. They became quite renown pioneers as they made numerous and major updates to the public bestiary studying the creatures of the zone as a group of hunters. Benedict flourished as his weapon mastery and tactical awareness improved. His prey being more so man than beast as he protected his friends from the human threats of the zone while they sought out different creatures to provide life saving knowledge for other pioneers.

Benedict like the rest of his friends however still wanted to leave the zone. He so desperately wanted to share the incredible stories he would be able to tell his son even if most of the tale would be contorted to be made appropriate for a child. Mentioning his plan to fight as mercenaries to make connections that could have them extracted fell apart as each of the friends had conflicting plans to escape.

All agreed to continue as simple pioneers however on Noah’s hint that he may just know a way out of the zone and that all he needed was help with one last job so they could all leave. Just some unfinished business he said. For the first time in years the end of this nightmare was in sight. The hope of seeing his son once more filled him with a joy he’d not felt in far too long.
