Bio: Born 1985 March 9 in the USA into a family of strong military traditions with 3 brothers and a sister Bishop was the youngest of his siblings. The family moved to Australia when Bishop was 5. Establishing himself as an argumentative character instilled from his family always telling him what to do he quickly learnt there was often a reason behind what he was being told to do and while he continued to complain he always completed what he was set out to do.
During one especially hot summer Bishop found himself in a dilemma against another boy his age as both reached for the last ice block in a container. Not having made proper friends yet he relied on what his parents had taught him to deal with the social confrontation. He knew he wanted the ice block and wanted it for himself, he knew there was only one left, he knew that this other boy wouldn’t give it up and he had to be strong about the situation. So he punched him in the face.
The ensuing fight lasted for a minute and before anyone supervising took notice another boy protected Strider while pulling Bishop back. Both equally bruised and bloodied the boys came to an agreement to share the ice block. Bishop developed an immediate respect for Strider as he fought for what he wanted as well as Hazard for stepping in placing himself in harm's way to stop the fight. Bishop also became close friends with Flux and Robert as the 5 friends fought valiantly against summer. Bishop entrenched himself as one of their lifelong friends as he threw himself yelling onto the hot asphalt of summer burning Striders feet combating it with a bucket of water earning a variety of grazes.

Though initially being what could only be described as a spastic child Bishop developed a rather calm exterior as he developed an addiction for adrenaline and with the encouragement of his parents took part in paintball tournaments at the ripe age of 10. He quickly developed a sense for tactical awareness and fearless movement under fire. By the age of 12 with Flux and Robert being shot Bishop found his resolve tested and passed it with flying colours. He sat by Flux alongside Hazard in getting him back on his feet and constantly reprimanded Strider for his destructive behavior all while maintaining his impressive academic record and performance during paintball tournaments.
At the age of 17 Hazard tipped off Bishop that Strider was essentially attending a drug fueled orgy. He sped over on the motorcycle his parents had bought him to recover Strider. Shouldering past the door and blind drunk occupants of a run down apartment Bishop found his friend preparing to try out harder drugs. A massive argument broke out between the two leaving Strider breaking down entirely and ignoring Bishops orders for him to leave. Having lost Striders attention as he fell apart wailing Bishop relied on what he knew would win against Strider. He punched him in the face. While stunned Bishop dragged Strider out onto the curb while he talked him down as Hazard brought round a car to pick Strider up.
At the age of 20 Bishop had reached a professional level of paintball when Strider proposed they all join the army. Finding both motorcyle riding and paintball ceased giving him the rush he craved as well as it falling within his family's military traditions he agreed immediately. Screening found him to be an exceptional candidate and with his strong academic back ground he found himself being trained a combat medic with the potential of additional officer training. Though he performed well in both fields his true potential was found in frontline warfare as a standard rifleman. With all those years of paintball paying off he excelled with further guidance in tactical movement to the point where instructors joked he could’ve traversed Gallipoli alone.

He excelled even further in the field going past even veterans expectations as he assaulted position after position regardless of the land even though he’d complain constantly about the disadvantages of different terrain earning the nickname Grunty. His ability to move to almost any position he needed to be at gave his squad the absolute tactical edge that saw most attacks as successful and those failed done with minimal casualties. Awarded with numerous medals throughout his career for his bravery and combat intelligence he was highly respected by equal and peer alike earning the callsign Bishop after Yankee and Ace weren’t deemed good enough titles for him. Even the chaos of battle became standard though and eventually boring. Bishop felt as if regulars were holding him back from getting the adrenaline rush he craved for and eventually applied for the commandos 3 years later.
Bishop was an immediate fit in the regiment. His strong personality and sarcastic humor under a calm professional exterior earned him a strong cadre of friends within the 2nd commando regiment after passing selection without issue. He furthered his battle craft alongside his new comrades and became a soldier of renown amongst them. He performed most duties with a competency well above average of most in regiment but still remained a rifleman not specializing in anything specific leaving him off being the best of the best in any particular duty.
Eventually as with the rest of his friends the SASR reluctantly handed Bishop a selection course invitation which Bishop took arrogantly towards their reluctance. Bishop found the course to be the most challenging situation of his life up to date. He found himself completely unsuited for the specialised roles the SASR demanded and passed solely on a combat score which barely saw him past the line and accepted into training.
During training it was found however that Bishop was indeed a rifleman through and through and nothing else. While his combat skills were highly regarded his lack of ability to specialize for duties of the SASR saw him respectfully discharged from the training course. He was ensured that the commando’s were the perfect place for him even though he began to get bored of that as well.

The Merchant Prince Book 1: Returning Home
Enter a world of deceit and assassins. Augustus DeCastellian is a member of a wealthy merchant family, with ports all over the known world. He is sent on a voyage to new lands to open trade routes, but when he returns he will need to fight, using his tools of manipulation and cunning, for what he is owed.Author's note: This story is somewhat slow-paced, especially in comparison to the norm on Royal Road. The first three chapters act almost as a prologue, to give you a feel for what the rest of the story will be like. So, I suggest new readers try to get to the end of chapter 3 before deciding if this story is for them.A few of my reviews have said that this story is abnormal for Royal Road. I agree with that sentiment, at least based on what I've read on the site. It was just an idea that was in my head, that I began trying to write once my hobbies were cancelled due to the virus. I found Royal Road after I started writing it. Honestly, it's probably not even tailored for the web-novel format. But it's the story I wanted to tell. Discord: https://discord.gg/sk63gep
