Maya was watching out the window and saw Nick being punched. She worried a little bit but she knew The Master would intervene if Nick could not handle it. She saw him be uppercutted in the back which sent him flying straight up into the air. He looked at her, as if just noticing her for the first time, he whipped around to face the floor as he stop ascending. He started falling fast she could see him wind up for a punch and all of the people underneath him. When he got to the ground he punched and completely obliterated the ground creating a crater. All of the people flew away from him and smashed against the walls all unconscious. Maya stood in awe she could never even knock out ten at the same time no matter how hard she tried, and Nick just knocked out at least fifty with one punch. The Master pounded his giant staff on the ground all of the people got up and walked back into the walls, the walls closed soon after they entered.

“Good job Nick, I have figured out your hidden abilities.” The Master said.

“What? Did you say ‘abilities’?” Nick asked

“Yes you have two which is the most uncommon thing I have ever seen.” The Master said

“Wow.” Nick said dumbstruck “So, what are my abilities.”

“You have already discovered them.” The Master said.

“What how did I discover them, could you tell me what they are so I know?” Nick asked.

“Well, You can make the most powerful weapon appear in front of you-”

“What, What is this weapon then because I bet I have not seen it.”

“Oh you’ve seen it. Because you are wearing the most powerful weapon.”

Nick looked at his gauntlets and boots. “You mean these.” He said presenting the gauntlets and boots.

The Master nodded “Yes those would be them.”

“Well what is my other ability then?” Nick asked.

“The other one is the ability to charge weapons with pure power.” The Master said. “Also because you have a weapon that can not be charged up it charges you up, and with your new charged up abilities you are able to break through to the weapon and charge it up. That is what the fire around the gauntlets is, it is your power flowing through it. This ability is called the ‘Awakening’.” The Master finished.

“Wow.” Nick said amazed by what he could do.

“So looks like your friend up there has fallen asleep. When she wakes up it will have been two years down here but only a few hours up there in the room.” The Master said. “Well let’s get to training.

Maya was still a bit droopy but she figured that that was from just waking up. She went to check on Nick and saw that the ground was no longer the ground they had just been standing on when she fell asleep, there was a giant crater, and Nick stood in the middle of it. His eyes had turned a velvet red and his gauntlets were glowing a brilliant blue flame. He was looking at a giant person that seemed to be made of millions of people all connected. The big man bent slightly and winded up for a punch. The punch came down at an amazing speed she looked at Nick who was not moving at all, the punch came down and made contact with Nick and the ground where he had just been standing was a giant fist shape hole. Maya shouted out when it made contact, she could feel the sadness of him dying immensely as if her dad had died. She then realized, that she loved him. The big man’s fist retreated from its hole and she saw Nick there with one hand up as if he was blocking a sword coming down on him. Maya felt rejoiced to see him not dead, Nick jumped up a tremendous height and put his fist out pointing it at the giant man. His fist started to glow a very bright light and he shot out a beam of light at the monster. The light made Maya look away because it was to bright, when the light subsided she looked at Nick who was inside the wall from the recoil of the blast. She looked at the giant man who was now missing a head, and a there was hole in the wall behind the giant man. The man fell to the ground with a big thud and slowly disappeared with littler people more size appropriate running from the man back into the walls. Nick hit the ground after climbing out of the wall, Him and the Master walked to the door, then she heard a thud it sounded like someone punching metal then she saw the door fly of the hinges. Nick walked in with a giant smile on his face. He also looked as if he had been working out a lot and was much more buff he had very bulky arms and abs which she could see because his shirt was all ripped up and not covering much anymore

“Really Nick, you had to break down the door again.” Maya said with a sigh

“What? It’s fun to do.” Nick said “and I need a new shirt”

“Well I guess you two should get going to get back to your world.” The Master said

“Huh?” Maya asked

“When you came out of that laboratory they turned on a portal to a new dimension and you traveled through that portal to this world you will still have your abilities when you get back to your world but it will take you a long time to do so. In order to get back your world you have to find the man who brought you here in order to bring you back to your world.” The Master said.

“Ok, I guess Nick and I know what our first order of business is then.” Maya said.

“There will be more people trying to stop you because they set this up for you so it will be even harder than it should’ve been.” The Master said.

“Ok thank you for the warning.” Maya said.

Maya and Nick started going down the hallway while Nick was putting on a new shirt, but before they got to the end of the hallway Maya stopped.

“What’s wrong?” Nick asked.

“I just had a flashback of you being crushed by that giant man.”

“I wasn’t crushed I blocked it perfectly, it didn’t even hurt.”

“Yeah I guess I just thought you were crushed and I just about started to cry.”

“Why?”

“Because I,” Maya hesitated “Love you.”

Nick sat there dumbstruck, he never thought that she would like him. He always thought she was way out of his league. She started up again catching up to Nick giving him a quick peck on the cheek. Nick blushed. They started walking again only this time they were holding hands up the stairs.

Nick was running at a full sprint while Maya hovered above the ground at the same speed Nick was running. They were going to their next destination, they arrived at Maya’s house in a few minutes even though the school was twenty miles away. Maya walked in and a few minutes later came out with a book bag.

“I don’t think that is enough for a thousand mile trip.” Nick said looking at the book bag

“I enchanted it, it can hold unlimited things now.” Maya said “We need to go now.” She said looking at some approaching people.

The people started running at them at a faster pace than the last ones had, Maya was about to set a spell to send them flying but Nick told her not to as he waved his hand in the general direction of the people and smaller beam of light then what she saw before in the fight shooted out of his hand as it did in the fight.

“Never mind them we can take our time.” Nick said blissfully

They fell to the ground with their head cut off but again were robots.

“You have amazing aim, to be able to cut off their heads without even looking.” Maya said looking at the robot heads on the ground.

“Thank you, I have been practicing for a long time.” Nick said in response.

Nick and started running again with Maya hovering behind him they were on the road passing cars left and right, the cars started to speed up to catch them but none of them were fast enough to catch them. They ran past a Lamborghini Centenario, when they ran past it, it started to speed up. It started to catch up and was going faster then them, Nick tried to run at full speed but could not go any faster.

“Maya can you go faster.” Nick yelled making sure she could hear it above the wind wiping at their faces

“Yeah. I can go a lot faster.” Maya yelled

“Good get ready to speed up with me.” Nick yelled

Nick started focusing on his power and closed his eyes, he could feel the energy coming back to him after he was giving energy to the gauntlets and boots. He gave the more powerful energy to the gauntlets and boots also and they started to ignite with blue flames, he could feel the power rushing through him he realized with his gauntlets and boots were giving him the strength already. He was now jogging the speed he had been going before and he started running as fast as he could, the Centenario was getting faster but it was not going quite as fast as Nick was now running. Maya soon caught up to him.

“Wow, this is close to my full speed, that means you are at least going two thousand miles per hour.” Maya yelled being amazed by his speed.

The rest of the way there was smooth except for the few times Nick had to stop to catch his breath. When they made it to their destination which was a small town called Azmar which seemed like a nice little town, until people started chasing Nick and Maya. They knew the lab that the people had moved to was in the town of Azmar they just didn’t know where it was in the town. Nick started walking around with Maya and they kept their eyes open for many people gathered in one area or if they stepped near an area a lot of people would show up to stop them. They searched to town for a while and soon it became dusk.

“We should find an inn or something and take turns watching over the other person.” Maya suggested

“Yeah we should.” Nick agreed

They walked around the town for a little longer keeping their eyes open for anything suspicious while they looked for an inn. They found a nice little inn that didn’t look very busy which was probably the best choice currently. They went in and got a room acting like the people they usually saw on the streets so they did not stand out to the other people. They went to their room and opened the room, there were two beds and a bathroom. Maya went into the bathroom to change. Nick suddenly realized he did not bring any clothes to change into and out of. Maya came out dressed into her pajamas she threw the bag at Nick.

“I got some clothes for you as well go change.”

“When did you- never mind.”

Nick entered the bathroom and soon later came out in his pajamas.

“I will take first shift.” Nick said willingly.

“Ok I will take the shift from two A.M. to when you wake up.” Maya said as she was getting into the bed closest to the window on the far side of the room. She curled up and drifted off to sleep, Nick could tell when she was asleep because her breathing had changed. Later that night Nick’s eyes started to get droopy he did not want to fall asleep because he had to keep an eye on the door. He woke up when he heard people whispering on the outside of the door.

“When should we strike.” a young female voice said.

“I don’t hear anything so try and pick the lock.” an older female voice said.

“Ok.” the younger one said.

Nick could hear the sound of the girl picking the lock, the door clicked after a little bit and Nick ran to his bed and curled up and unsummoned the gauntlets trying to hide that he was still awake and that he had powers. He could hear the door open slowly and he braced himself to see people attack him. He saw a shadow and he could tell by the place of the shadow that she was very close to the corner. He jumped out of bed and grabbed her and pinned her to the ground.

“Who are you and what are you doing here-” Nick said realizing that he had just pinned Sophia to the ground.

“Get off of her: the older girl said.The older girl shot a laser like beam out of her palm. The beam hit Nick and hit the ground.

“You kidnapper.” Sophia said getting up and brushing herself off from the dusty floor.

“You were the one breaking an entry.” Nick said whispering not wanting to wake Maya.

“You kidnapped my best friend.” Sophia said

“Sh… you’ll wake Maya up.” Nick said glancing over hoping that Maya was not awake yet.

“Oh so you don’t want her woken up so she can come with us.” Sophia said.

“I will fight you if you don’t quiet down.” Nick said whispering again.

“No how about you fight my sister, I am not much of a fighter I am a genius in this world though and I was trained only by the best.” Sophia said.

“Who trained you then.” Nick said.

“The Master.” Sophia said.

“So were we.” Nick said.

“You and who.” Sophia said.

“Me and Maya.” Nick said.
