“Aaah, it’s so hot out today…..” Said Dante as he wiped the sweat from his forehead, as we were walking down a path with sun beating down on our backs. The past few days have been walking on dirt paths in forests and arriving at villages for supplies. Nothing super important has happened. We have still have not gathered any important information to where we can find the gem of immortality “Fushi” . I responded by saying “you got that right I heard from the last village it supposed to be like this for a good while, well that’s summer for ya.” Unlike the other pathways in the forest this gave off a very rough and dry environment bring out more of the summer heat. We were still in the country of Aria and we are headed to the village known as Laborun, Home of the Mage library. “well should we take a break and eat lunch before heading down the path a bit more?” He said and I nodded in agreement.

We came to a clearing and set up to eat lunch. The smell of pre-made takoyaki wafted through the air out of the magical sack of hot and cold (this sack kept anything in it the same temperature as it was once it was put in.) As I bit into the takoyaki the flavor of octopus fills my mouth with hint of mayo and bonito flakes. “aaaaah, these takoyaki taste amazing!” I said with the takoyaki enveloping me in a blanket of warmth. We sat there for minutes eating lunch and chatting as the sun beat down at our backs and then I asked Dante “where is your hometown?” He replied by saying “the village we are about to enter, why?” I was shocked “you used to live in Laborun?” I asked, he responded by saying “yeah, my mother still lives there but I haven't seen her in years.” His voice shook as those words came out of his mouth, I could tell that his whole being is on the verge of breaking. The reason behind this? Well if I had to guess, he most likely has no idea if his mother is alive or not.

We started to pack up so we could at least try to get into Laborun by nightfall, but as we ventured further along the path we found an obstacle in our way. A giant stone statue of an dragon was set down on the path blocking any entry to Laborun. This very mysterious in itself, I pondered for minutes trying to find an answer to why this statue was blocking our path. Then suddenly out of nowhere the ground rumbled from underneath us. Without hesitation a giant plume of fire erupted in place of the statue, the fire continued for what seemed to be minutes upon minutes. then from the ground claws grabbed ahold of the edges of the hole. The monster that had emerged from the hole in the ground was a dragon, the dragon statue was just bait for the real dragons prey. The dragon was about a few feet taller than we were and my height 163 cm, were as the dragon was 185 cm. The dragon spoke this “it seems you travelers have come across my path….do you know what this means humans?” I nodded “no” to the dragon and the dragon replied with “this means you shall die by the hands of me Xiuhcoatl, the weapon of destruction!!!” Xiuhcoatl got into a fighting stance and so did we, knowing full well we could lose this fight.

Xiuhcoatl attacked us first by slashing its tail at us. I blocked it with my heavy armor, but i was pushed back with the amount of force Xiuhcoatl had put into it. Dante jumped high into the air and threw daggers into the Xiuhcoatl’s joints which made him cry out in pain. Xiuhcoatl glared at us with a murderous intent. I quickly checked my status screen it showed Xiuhcoatl’s stats he was a level 57 were as, I was level 19. His HP was at 29,998/30,000 this was not good we were in a pinch, if we did not defeat him we would never get to Laborun and worse we would be dead. I hit Xiuhcoatl with a Cross Slash his HP went down slightly just like with dante’s attack, but then suddenly a voice resounded within my ear telling me “get down so I don’t blind you.” I did as I was instructed without thinking, then a flash of light shone above my head and dante’s. A figure came out of the light it was…….a loli mage? The mage raised her staff above her head chanted a spell that was unknown to me, and a giant spell circle appeared above Xiuhcoatl. While all this was happening Xiuhcoatl was in a daze and confused. The spell circle sucked Xiuhcoatl right up. All that was left of him was a small figurine of him. The loli mage exclaimed in triumph “I have finally caught a dragon!!!” We were in shock of what we just saw, a loli mage had just done what we couldn't…..defeat a dragon.

From what this loli mage named “Ceola Ithello” had said she could do all sorts of magic especially summoning magic. To perform this magic she needed to capture a monster of her choosing to make a pact with so she could summon it in battle. What was going right in front of my eyes you say? Exactly that she was making a pact with the dragon known as “Xiuhcoatl”. “zea vee den sen ken xua” she readied her staff and the spell had been cast. An enormous magical circle had appeared around the figurine that was Xiuhcoatl. We were currently in the clearing that we had been eating lunch in minutes ago, me and Dante were amazed by Ceola’s skill with magic. The magical circle faded and the figurine broke, it was hollow but you could see a black mist rising out of the hollowness. Seconds later a ring that resembled a fire dragon appeared on Ceola’s right middle finger. She swung around with a smile and said “well, are you amazed onii-san and onee-san?” All we did was nod in agreement, she pumped her fist in success.

We all sat down to talk things out, but now that I got a good look Ceola she was wearing a cute shirt and skirt that fit her very well. She was also wearing boots that almost came up to her knees, she was also wearing the traditional mage cloak and a witches hat. Her staff was willow wood with a ruby crystal in space where you would put your mana crystal. She spoke up her blood twintails swaying in the wind “Well, you owe me one, you peasants ohohohoho” she said with an arrogant tone. My mouth was wide open in awe of how condescending this loli was. Dante opened his mouth to say “Yo, kid why would we? *tch*” She uppercut Dante and Dante went flying towards a tree, he hit the tree with a *thump*. He was knocked unconscious, that's when I went right up to Ceola and she said “wanna get hurt too wimp, humph.” That's when I flicked her on the forehead, Ceola crouched to the ground holding her forehead looking up at me with tears in her eyes. I said “this is what happens when you hurt people without having a real reason, now apologize.” She went over to dante who was grunting in pain and said “i’m Sorry Onii-chan.” Dante got up and said “sorry for trying to hit you.”

As we made we set out for dante’s home town, Ceola decided that she would join our group for the time being (she was probably getting lonely). We came across the gate to Laborun but what was there was horrifying. Lizardmen had overrun the city and in the distance Dante and I could see that people were about to be excuted by the lizardmen. Dante said with his voice trembling “Mom, no, no, no.” He ran towards the lizardmen and cut their throat, blood spewed from the lizardmen’s throat. Dante Screamed “DIE YOU FUCKING SCUM!!!!!”
