Katsuo arrived at his house and stood at its entrance.
He looked pensive for a while, before sensing if there was anybody on the street and taking his bloodied, ruined clothes and shoes. Standing in just his boxers and socks.
'I bet I look really pathetic right now, how am I going to explain this to my mother.'
Of course, that couldn't be farther from the truth, with his handsome face and muscled teenage body, he looked like an underage model.
(AN: Comment the appearance/image you want Katsuo to have, even though I already picked one)
He looked pensive again.
'I will just enter through my window, and change clothes there, after all, from today on, even though I'm going to hide a lot less than I do now, I will still have to hide certain things, like today's battle.'
He enhanced himself and jumped, leaping over the house, to his room's window, and unlocked it using CE.
He changed and went downstairs, to the living room-slash-kitchen, where he could hear his mother and sister.
"Kat-chan!? Were you home? I didn't see you enter!"
Said Katsuo's mom, looking confused.
"Kat-nii-chan!!"
Before Katsuo could answer his mother, his sister, Tetsuo Yua, ran up to him and jumped into his embrace.
(AN: You can comment here Yua's child and teenager appearance)
He kissed her forehead, hugged her for a while, and felt himself relax. Only now did he noticed how tense he was.
Katsuo put his sister in his mother's arms and said.
"I'm back. Mother, when father arrives I want to tell you both something."
Akiko looked at her son and noted how serious he was, well he has always been serious but he seemed stern today and her mother intuition told her that he was really tired.

She concluded that something might have happened and that he might have something really important to say, so she didn't insist on her previous questions.
"Ok, he should be here by 19 o'clock, you can tell us by then."
Katsuo nodded, went back to his room, and fell on his bed, formulating what he was going to say, and gradually fell into a slumber.
--
He was woken up by a light, continuous banging on his door, this signature banging could only belong to his sister.
"Kat-nii-chan, papa arrived!!"
"I will go down in a minute"
"Okay~"
He heard hurried footsteps going down and left his room, cleaned his face in the bathroom, and went downstairs.
He sat at the dinner table and called for his parents.
"Father, mother, please sit, I want to tell you something"
"Your mother told me, Katsuo, but let's have dinner first then you can calmly tell us what you want."
Katsuo nodded and they all ate in silence, even Yua could tell that the table's atmosphere was heavy so she also sensibly ate in silence.
(AN: All Tetsuo children are smart and mature, but Yua is a lot more childish, just like Akiko wanted.)
After dinner, Katsuo looked at his parents and said.
"I have been hiding something from you."
From then on, Katsuo told them about curses, CE, his training, his occasional hunts, innate technique, etc.
He told them everything he wanted them to know, not telling them about today's battle or any detail of his previous fights he had for that matter.
(AN: He didn't tell or hinted anything about being a reincarnatee.)
His parents heard in silence, his mother started sobbing into her hands in the middle of his story but his father continued pay attention.

At the end of his story his shoulders and heart felt a lot lighter and his father opened his mouth.
"Actually, we always knew you were special but just not to this degree, we also want to tell you something."
He then started telling me about their supernatural quirks, their meeting at their high school Ocult Research Club and about how they knew I was special.
It was only then, that Katsuo knew how heavy their trust in him was, they always knew he was hiding something but patiently waited until he was ready to tell them.
"It must have been hard for you to protect us all this time by yourself. You have worked hard, son."
"Yes, Kat-chan!! You worked hard!!"
It was then that Katsuo's mom got up, hugged him, and started bawling loudly and even though Katsuo thought it wasn't that hard for him, his father's words and mother's love still brought tears into his eyes.
Yua, who didn't understand much of the conversation, was affected by her mother's crying and also started crying and hugging Katsuo.
They stayed in this position until his mother calmed down and then they engaged in an active conversation where his parents and even his sister's curiosity was endless. During the barrage of questions, Katsuo tried to avoid answering how dangerous his activity could be by telling them that he was very strong and by performing tricks for them with his CE.
His parents of course noticed but silently decided to continue trusting and supporting him as they had done until now.
In the end, Katsuo said he had a present for them. He went to his bedroom to get the permanent enhancement pills that didn't work on him anymore and gave them to his family, while only giving durability and disease resistance enhancement pills to his sister thinking that that might be the best because while his parents were adults and responsible, his sister was still a little girl and he wanted her to grow up normally.
So, a little superhuman family was born.
His mother looked younger and the marks of late work on his father's face disappeared, they both looked refreshed and amazed.
Katsuo's mother blushed while looking at his father and he did the same, and Katsuo realized it was time for him to put his sister to sleep and go to bed himself.
Late at night, Katsuo was in his bed, thinking about all today's occurrences, he thought back to his battle against the curse, digested this new experience, of what he did right and wrong, and he thought back to Gojo-san.
'No, it's Gojo-sensei, now.'
He then thought of how special and understanding his family was, wondering how would they reactions be if they knew he had his past-life memories and ego.
'Not that I'm going to tell them anytime soon or ever, after all, it's not that relevant. I see them as my parents and they see me as their son, why jeopardize that?'
He then fell asleep, thinking of how blessed he was and how thankful he was that his parent's room was soundproof.

Recruit - An Infinite Labyrinth prequel
A prequel to The Infinite Labyrinth. The year is 1816. The British Empire is in full swing, under the auspices of King George III. The Infinite Labyrinth has been pouring out its product from beyond our reality and fostered a new industrial revolution. Times are changing, and the people of London are feeling the winds of the revolution while British Professionals push into the Labyrinth. The newly formed Artefact Hunting Company is looking for recruits, and they have new technology to help them. From the slums of London, they aim to recruit a new wave of Professionals. And make Zacharias and the Earl of Carnavon lots of money. So, for Rowan Rivers and a handful of lucky ones, it's time to head into the Labyrinth, and discover what makes it different from England. And what makes THEM different? Recruit is a bunch of chapters I wrote to create to the setting, mood, and game systems of the Infinite Labyrinth. It is NOT a complete story in the classic sense. It's more of a slice of life view of early days of a normal Professional from the Infinite Labyrinth, and it's heavy on info-dump. It's 90% canon - there's probably a bit of a difference between how some characters and common behaviour are portrayed here and how they'll come out in the main story. Set two years before the events that kick-start the main series, it features some of the secondary/peripheral characters of the Infinite Labyrinth and will tell you all about the basic mechanics of the Labyrinth's RPG system. It can be considered a spoiler, as the characters in the Infinite Labyrinth are going to need to figure out all that, on their own. But if you like a much deeper exposition in the mechanics, here it is. The entire prequel is about 80 pages long.
