So let me get this straight, you’re telling me that ever since my early childhood you’ve been guiding me until something happened which left you stranded alone and now over two decades later you’ve come back.
.
Am I getting this right?
.
I kept it short for you for a reason, no one likes info dumps.
.
.
.
Maybe I am going crazy.
.
Who knows, while you’re trying to figure that out though let me get straight to the point: I think we should make life easier for one another and forget this ever happened. I won’t talk to you and you won’t think about me, you can go about with your life thinking of today as just being another bad hangover.
.
.
You can’t be serious, so what was all that bullshit about feeling alone and forgotten about then.
.
Are you just toying with me?
.
#é@¼@ I’m being as sincere as I can be when I say that we would not be good for one another, as you yourself said we’re different, much more so than in the past, even if I wanted to it’s unlikely we would ever be able to cooperate.
.
I’ve also found company of my own, nevermind feeling lonely I could go as far as to say that these last few years have been the best of my life.
.
It’s for the best #é@¼@.
.
.
.
You’re a huge asshole, you know that right ?
.
You waltz into my life telling me how I do everything wrong, you then give me your little sob story and now that I’m confronting you you try to scurry away.
.
#é@¼@ I’m not try- Stop calling me that.
.
Ok, what do you want to be called then?
.
Author.
.
Fine, “author” I’ll apologize here and now for what I said before, I didn’t know you could hear me and in retrospect it was all uncalled for regardless of if you could or not, my apologies.

.
That aside I’ll stick to what I said before, we are not compatible anymore, we’ve been separated for too long and I doubt that our continued communications would be good for either of us.
.
.
.
I’ll leave now, if I can give you one more piece of advice for old times sake then let it be this: write more in your diary and look very carefully at what you write, speaking it aloud will also work.
.
Do that and life will go better, trust me on that.
.
Hey,-oh, and lay off of the booze please, makes me feel dizzy. Anyway, ciao.
.
I wasn't done talking to you yet!
.
What was that bit about my diary supposed to mean.
.
.
.
Stop ignoring me.
.
I know you can hear me.
.
.
.
Please.

Dragonfall
This fiction is based on a short story I wrote inspired by a prompt on r/WritingPrompts. Contrary to my plans, I haven't sketched out the story in detail or written anything ahead of time. I've discovered I don't do well at that. I'm just writing this thing and we'll see where it takes us, OK? Nothing every came easy to Ryan Shakespeare, but as an elite British Army sniper he had found a niche that suited him, right up to the point at which he found himself summoned to a world far from his own to fulfil the job of a champion. Luckily, Ryan arrived with his experimental sniper rifle, so surely killing the dragon and getting his chance to go home would be a simple job, right? But Ryan should have known better, because nothing ever comes easy. Caught up in the politics of the Draconic League, Ryan will need to keep all his wits about him and use every resource at his disposal if he's going to persuade these people to let him do his job and go home.
