《The True Jack of all Trades》Prologue

The air was stale and filled with the smell of blood. In the midst of this stood one man, Dean Ashford. His past and uprising were full of highs and lows. He stood there with a single broken katana in his hands, bloodied up and beaten. His clothes were in tatters and he was surrounded by the bodies of his allies. He didn’t know if they were dead or not, but he was the only one left standing. He stood as he watched a man descend to the ground in front of him. He had black hair and white wings to emphasize his tan complexion.

“Is this as far as you go?” asked a mysterious man.

Dean couldn’t say anything, he was too tired and beaten to even move a finger.

“Are you going to give up?” the man asked again, “Can you not complete what Adam wished for you to do, or is your will just like your blade, broken?”

“Who said my will was broken?” Dean asked. A wave of black energy flowed over Dean, healing his wounds. He then jumped a couple of times and stretched his body.

“Your companions are gone and you are the only one left, what can you do?” the man asked.

“Fight until my last breath, that’s what I can do. Now stop playing around and get this show on the road.”

The mysterious man snapped his fingers and monsters appeared, circling around Dean. They were completely blank white along with all of their features. They had wings of the same color. The only thing that was different was their face. It carried a pair of blood-red eyes and a circular mouth filled with teeth like reverse saws.

“Sending your lackeys instead of coming at me yourself Micheal?” Dean asked the man.

“Tsk, you really piss me off.” Micheal snapped his fingers again and the white monsters attacked Dean at the same time. Dean flipped his broken katana into a reverse grip and began his assault on the monsters. As he did this, the black energy once again shrouded over Dean, this time repairing his katana with a black blade.

“Give me all you got Luci,” Dean said as he smiled.

The black aura of Dean’s blade cut through the monsters as they tried to attack him. His diamond eyes darted around as he thought of every possible way to dispatch the monsters. Eventually, Dean killed all of the monsters. “Damn, I thought Angels were supposed to be celestial beings, but I guess they're just cannon fodder, don’t you think Micheal?” Micheal was biting his lip in anger.

“Don’t think just because you kill them that you can beat me!”

“Oh, is someone angry?” Dean started to laugh hysterically, “You’re just throwing a hissy fit because I beat all of your lackeys. After all, you are the last Arcangel.”

“My brothers and sisters were just weak. They’re nothing compared to me!”

“Well then show it to me.” Dean got into a stance and prepared to fight Micheal.

“Wow, you really do warrant the title of Pride.” Micheal got into a stance, “You’re gonna wish you never started this war.”
