《Union of Worlds: Adventure in the Sky》Chapter 8 One Good Punch

Shaq came back to himself and jumped to the side once again, to dodge the blade coming down for his head. He took a piece of broken marble and threw it at the opening in Lyrion's helmet. Lyrion turned his head around and it hit the back of his head without any damage being done.
But it that moment Shaq had closed in and a strong horizontal strike smashed into Lyrion's side. Lyrion's feet flew off the ground and he crashed down right after. Shaq cleaved down on Lyrion but he blocked with his sword, both of his hands on the flat part of the sword and not on the handle.
Shaq didn't relent and ferociously stroke again and again. In one of those strikes, Lyrion managed to deflect the hit and Shaq lost his balance as he stumbled to the side. Lyrion quickly kicked Shaq with his right foot and sent him on the ground as well, he got up and in his haste to not let Shaq recover sent a very unbalanced strike towards Shaq.
It hit the ground right in front of Shaq's face but with one good shove, the sword scraped the ground and pierced into Shaq's shoulder.
{AHGH!}
Shaq yelled as the sword pushed deeper and deeper into him.
"Die!!" Lyrion screamed in madness as he viciously stabbed Shaq.
Shaq knew that this couldn't go on. In an all or nothing gambit, he used his left hand to grab the sword. He pulled his shoulder back and away from the sword. With this wounded shoulder he stretched his hand and reached the hilt of the sword. Grabbing onto Lyrion's hands. He used his all to pull himself up and Lyrion who was already off-balance fell down and both of his knees hit the marble.
Shaq looked straight into Lyrion's eyes. He took a deep breath and pulled his head back. Using his left hand, that had been bleeding heavily since the moment he touched the sword, Shaq pulled Lyrion's helmet off. He released a devastating headbutt onto Lyrion.
He didn't stop there though, as Lyrion fell backward Shaq used his left hand to punch Lyrion with a hook on his chin. Shaq quickly stood up and finished everything off with a strong kick in the face as the crunch of Lyrion's nose breaking echoed in the room.
"How can you beat me? I have been training...." Lyrion barely managed to eke out as his consciousness began fading.
"... Because I was fighting to protect and you because of Hate, or at least Jhin would say something like that." Shaq thoughtfully said as he fell back down to the ground. He was bleeding heavily but he had some more time until death took him. He had won.
--------------------------------------
Talisa had just changed positions with Jhin and was charging at Mavros. He had just shot a bullet from his gun and in her eyes, he didn't have a way to defend himself. He on the other hand pulled his other hand from one of his pockets and another gun came with it.
Talisa immediately felt the threat, her honed senses warning her of death. She waited though for the moment till he locked on to her and his hand stopped moving to lunge forward and to the ground.
A huge thunder was heard once again and a bullet flew right above Talisa and imbedded itself into the Wooden door behind her. The wood cracked and splintered as a whole was formed. Talisa rolled once and was back on her feet. She closed in on Mavros and was now close enough that she could reach him with her sword. She extended her body like a leopard and brought the tip of the sword forward. Right as it was about to pierce into Mavros, he swiftly dodged to the side and the attack missed completely.
Talisa though was too invested in the attack, thinking that an old man like Mavros couldn't possibly have any actual skill, and thus she flew past him and had to roll in the ground once again.
And once again Mavros took out a gun from another pocket and aimed. Talisa was now very close to Mavros and didn't have the time to wait. She was sitting in all fours like a lioness ready to pounce and that was exactly what she did. She lunged with great speed and force straight for Mavros.
She knew that if she jumped sideways she would become a bigger target and so took the most reliable root of minimizing the places Mvaors could target while at the same time using the Sword as cover and as an attack. Showing off her incredible, animal-like, battle senses.
But senses were simply not enough when an opponent has been underestimated. Mavros pulled the trigger for the third time and this time he almost hit true. The bullet barely touched the sword, and thus its trajectory was changed. It flew right above Talisa's shoulder, although it still hit her and a new wound bled profusely.
Even with that though Talisa still flew forward and the flat side of her, almost shattered sword, hit Mavros right in the face and chest and sent him flying. The old man hit the ground and quickly got up, with now hand on his nose since it started bleeding.
"You Lowlife! How dare you!!" He yelled while pinching his nose, which made him sound hilarious rather than threatening. Talisa sadly couldn't chuckle though as the pain from her new wound was so immense that she had stopped in her tracks right after landed her attack. If not for that wound the fight would have ended.
Mavros pushed one hand into the last custom made pocket he had and pulled out another gun with renewed hate for his opponent. He quickly aimed at Talisa and this time he wasn't planning on missing. The gun he was holding was very blatantly bigger than the rest. The hole that stared at Talisa was two times bigger than the others and this bullet would probably make her explode into pieces if it hit her.
But a cornered animal was at its most dangerous. Talisa didn't waste another moment as she there her sword at Mavros. If anyone who didn't know her saw this they would think that she was throwing away her life. That this was her final, desperate, attack. But they would be wrong, very wrong.
Talisa hadn't gotten the scar on her neck and jaw because a wolf stood up and clawed her in the face, but rather because she crawled down and fought on their level. At that time she hadn't even noticed the wound until the fight had ended and all 20 wolves she had been fighting against were dead, looking as if the King of all beasts had just ravaged the whole pack. The reason Shaq took her punches when he was arguing with Jhin wasn't because he took it as a joke, especially since the Slum world was a male-dominated society. It was because she was stronger than him, far stronger.
Her muscles expanded, her heart pumped faster and her asking got noticeably red. All her veins became visible and she exploded forward. Almost like a bullet, she ran but essentially flew, towards Mavros who was too busy dodging the sword and gloating in his victory.
Her speed was unparalleled, probably the fastest human in the world. Like a storm, she crashed into Mavros. Her hand and feet all grabbing onto his arms and legs. He hit the ground and a pained gasp escaped his mouth as his head hit the marble floor hard.

Mavros was already nearly unconscious and the back of his head was bleeding, but Talisa was lost in her animal-like revelry. She put strength into her neck and went to crush Mavros's head but right as she was about to she stopped. Her usual self overpowered her berserk state and she forced herself to stop. The interactions she had with Jhin for the past month or so turned out to have helped not only Jhin but also her since this was the first time she had gained control of her self while berserk.
Even then she still slapped Mavros hard at least one time, leaving a deep red palm imprint, and turned around to look at what was going on in the other fights as she tore off parts of Mavros's clothing to use as bandages.
-----------------------
Jhin was rushing for Alexander. A slight hesitation in his steps as he had already fought him and he lost completely.
This time though he had to pull through as there won't be another chance. The safety of the Villagers, all the people in the Slums, and even the safety of the citizens wee relying on him getting that King to abdicate. He truly didn't expect to be caught up in something like this in his life but there is always a first for everything. His grandma had mentioned it before, it was in his nature to do whatever he feels like.
Jhin stopped reminiscing and got back to the present as Alexander's greatsword came flying down as always, with a cleave that since Jhin dodged it, it slammed into the ground and broke all the marble for one meter in diameter. Alexander lifted his weapon once again and did one massive horizontal swing. He turned a full 360 degrees three times almost without stop.
Jhin had to jump back hurriedly again and again as a tornado made of steel approached, following him perfectly every time.
"Are you scared, young man?" Alexander asked as he stopped spinning, some pride for this move clear in his voice.
"Well, I can't simply die right at the start of the fight, I have a goal to achieve, Muscle brain." Jhin said his part and dove in. At close range, The greatsword was more difficult to wield and so Jhin and Alexander exchanged hits. Sometime jhin even got past Alexander's defense and landed a good hit on the armor while at other times he was thrown backward by the sheer power behind Alexander's hits.
After a good few rounds though Alexander turned serious. He let a hit land on his shoulder plating and released his rip over his sword who one hand. With that hand, he grabbed Jhin's hands and held them tightly. Jhin tried to pull out but he couldn't even make Alexander budge. Alexander set a straight Kick onto Jhin and he buckled.
As Jhin was throwing up his grip over his sword weakened and Alexander found the chance to grab the sword with his gloved hands and throw it away. It flew and spun in the air only to crash through a huge painted window and fly out of the throne room.
"Shit." Jhin couldn't help but say when he saw the sword disappear. "Truce?" He looked up at Alexander smiled weakly as a punch flew in and smacked him in the face. Jhin's head bounced back but another devastating straight came. Jhin started stumbling backward when a hook hit him right on the ribs and a swift but deadly uppercut threw him straight up in the air.
A hand clenched Jhin's neck as Alexander didn't let him hit the ground. Without any air being allowed in his lungs, Jhin thrashed about.
"It had to be done, young man. It is a shame that you showed promise." Alexander said as he went to pick up his greatsword with his free hand. He brought it straight up and was planning on letting it fall and take Jhin out of his misery. He let Jhin's neck go and as his feet hit the ground, while he was still standing Alexander gripped his sword tightly.
But Jhin in a desperate last struggle put one hand in his pocket and pulled out the perfect polygon he had found back in the alley. He was hoping for it to act like a brick and take Alexander out of it for a little while as he regained himself and went in for round two. He wasn't about to give up so soon.
With a wide overhead swing, Jhin smashed the metallic polygon into Alexander's helmet.
{CRASH!}
As if something made off glass had just shattered the polygon exploded, harmlessly, into a billion small pieces. It sparkled under the sunlight and scattered in the wind. It would have made for a sight to admire if Jhin hadn't been in such a dire situation.
Alexander shook his head and brought the sword down. It flew down and Talisa who had just ended her fight could be heard screaming as she sprinted towards Jhin. She wouldn't make it in time though even if she went berserk.
{DING!!} As if a bell just rang the sword bounced off Jhin's neck and shoulder. It almost slid to the side as if he was wearing armor and fell to the ground as the tremors had forced Alexander to release his grip on the sword.
"What?!" Alexander seemed completely out of character as he shouted in surprise. What he was seeing was out of this world.
Jhin had just been there so it couldn't be someone else but in front of Alexander, a man shining like Iron with short spiky hair like Jhin stood motionless.
Everything other than the clothes Jhin had been wearing had turned into a completely inhuman color. The shinning grey of Iron had Jhin covered from top to bottom. His deep green eyes, his golden hair, his white teeth, his Skin.
"Wha~~~~~~~~~t????!!" Jhin said with his mouth completely open. He was having an extremely hard time understanding what had happened and he was the one who changed.
Because of a change to your body. Your Class: Fighter has evolved into Class: Full Metal Fighter
"Full? Metal?" Jhin still didn't get it but as if the world was willing to help something suddenly came to mind. As if he always knew this information he understood that he had just become a man made of metal, currently Iron, as a result of breaking the Polygon.
Jhin looked up at Alexander and grinned. While he had been in his stupor Alexander had grabbed his greatsword once again and was cleaving down on Jhin, ready to cut him in half.
Jhin stretched an arm upward and grabbed the greatsword as it was coming down. The ringing of a bell along with some sparks was heard again. Jhin was surprised to find out that he felt some pain as he grabbed the sword. It had apparently not only nicked his palm but had also sent a shock through his whole body that was able to damage him.
Jhin though wouldn't let that get in his way. He grabbed the sword tightly and planted his left foot forward. He yanked the sword down towards him and a devastating straight right was released. Like a hammer Jhin's punch destroyed Alexander's helmet. Alexander's head flew back, he stumbled and his helmet flew off.
But Alexander still held on and Jhin didn't stop. With his left hand now Jhin sent another straight. Alexander's nose broke and his face almost caved in. Alexander almost flew off the ground but he ground his teeth. Jhin released a right hook onto Alexander aiming to end it.
But Alexander placed a palm in front and stopped the punch. His fingers broke but even then Alexander, without showing any signs of pain, grabbed onto Jhin's arm and pulled it over his shoulder. With all the strength he had left Alexander threw Jhin over him and into the air.
He bent down and grabbed his greatsword one more time. He readied a strike with the sword behind his back. The flat side of the sword ready to strike into Jhin and send him flying threw the window and onto the ground tens of meters below.
Jhin knew what was about to happen, but as he fell down he started spinning. He extended a leg outward and aimed for a kick straight onto Alexander's head. He wanted this kick to end this fight once and for all.
And because of his concentrated will his knew power obeyed. Metal started gathering in his leg. It flowed like a liquid and then it solidified into a huge metal hammer in place of his leg. With the added weight Jhin started spinning even faster.
He spun so fast that when Alexander swang his sword he missed, for the first time in recent years his strike didn't land. But at the same time, Jhin moved to the edge ever so slightly. He didn't want to kill the man, just get to the King and so the heel of his leg landed onto Alexander's shoulder.
The bones of which shattered as his whole left arm broke from the impact. Alexander fell down only after Jhin crashed into the ground and the floor of the whole throne room shook. Jhin got back up slowly through the dust as he shook off the dizziness and the impact of smashing face-first into the ground.
Jhin didn't have much patience anymore and rushed to the king.
Kleanuex saw that all his forces had lost and suddenly sweat broke out all over his body. Cold sweat.
"Wa... Wait! I'll erase your bloodline history and give you a pardon! In the name of the King, I swear! Just don't Kill me!" Kleanuex shattered as fear made him utter whatever came to mind. He Begged for his life, weakly.
"Two things, stupid King." Jhin said as he placed one foot on the throne's armrest. " I was never going to kill you in the first place. And... Who said you can just erase my Family like that? Stupid Cunt" Jhin said and with One Good Punch straight to the face smashed the king's head through the throne, knocking him unconscious.
With no more strength left in his body though he couldn't move anymore. At that moment Sklavos came in with a bunch of people.
"Tend to the wounded! Hurry!" He shouted as he rushed to Jhin's side, Whose body had turned back to its usual humane hew the moment he fell unconscious.

Ursus Ex Machina
Ozzy was a man of the wild. Raised in a remote village atop the world's mightiest mountain, he'd been taught to respect and revere the natural world. The realm he was born into had been there long before him, and it would remain there long after him. Sure, there was the occasional madman who threatened to destroy it, but such boasts were always empty. No one individual was actually capable of demolishing this beautiful blue-and-green ball Ozzy called home. No matter what terrible magics these villains wielded, they were incapable of causing permanent harm to the environment. Even if the planet was completely devastated, it would recover. Life would find a way to flourish, same as it always had. That was what Ozzy believed from the bottom of his heart, so he never once felt the need to save the world he loved. After all, it was never truly in danger. The world would be fine no matter what. The people were a wee bit endangered, but that was another story altogether. However, what would happen if Ozzy suddenly found himself devoid of his beloved wilds? What would the man do if the realm he knew - one of wonder, magic, and chaos - was replaced with a man-made environment of concrete, industry, and steam? Ozzy could never imagine such a thing happening, and yet that was his new reality. After losing a fateful confrontation with a mad wizard, he and his friends found themselves transported to a strange world so thoroughly alien that every waking moment feels like a fever dream. Separated and scattered to the four corners of this land, each of these adventurers will need to adapt, survive, and overcome if they hope to reunite. They would also need to do so quickly. The sooner they are able to find one another, the sooner they can figure out a way back home and have another crack at putting an end to the villain's plans. Whether such a thing was actually possible in a world with barely any magic in it was a valid concern, but Ozzy had more immediate things to worry about. For instance, why did the air smell like a perpetual forest fire? How did ships sail through the sky as if it were water? And most importantly, was the pavement he was hurtling towards at high speed much softer than it looked? Probably not, but a man could hope.

Some become allies while others become wet stains on the floor. I firmly believe that villains can make for some of the most endearing characters. Monsters need not be sour and droll. Have a bit of fun - indulge in a bit of villainy.
