Gerald Quinn 3rd Pov
A blonde haired youth stood courageously amongst the other players of his group, armed with a steel bastard sword in one hand and the other holding a round shield.
The youth's verdant green coloured eyes are burning with determination, determined to last it out to the end and make it out of the battlefield alive.
This youth is none other than Gerald Quinn. The very same Gerald Quinn that is said to be a part of Albert Lee's friend group and WhatsApp chat group.
He is currently deck out in light leather armour, for easy maneuverability whilst in combat. A steel chainmail mesh vest armour, over his light leather chestplate, for extra protection against slash attacks.
Gerald Quinn also wore some iron pauldrons upon his shoulders, metal arm guards and knee guards for extra added protection.
He looks like an actual squire from the medieval ages, or a simple armed village guard from an MMORPG fantasy game.
"Dammit!" Gerald Quinn then curses loudly underneath his breath, whilst panting heavily.
His heart was beating rather rapidly, pounding hardly withinside the left side of his, as oxygen is constantly being gathered within his lungs and being used for aerobic respiration to produce neccessary energy for the body and muscles to function properly.
Gerald Quinn is currently engaged in a one to one combat with a lizardman tribal warrior.
The lizardman tribal warrior wore no actual armour, as its reptilian scales are tough enough to withstand a certain amount of force, comparable to actual armour themselves.
They carried around a large wooden club as a makeshift weapon, with bits and pieces of sharp stone attached to the end of the wooden club to increased their damage output, and likely cause some lacerations upon their foe's skin.
In the other arm of the lizardman tribal warrior, it carries a large thick shield that is made from the back shell of a really big turtle.
And attached to the end of the big turtle shield is three long retractable bone claws, made from the claw bones of a strong beast type monster.
The three retractable bone claws are a hidden weapon, made by the smartest individuals of the lizardman tribe. It contains a simple spring locked mechanisms made out of wood and and some vines.
There's a hidden lever switch behind the big turtle shield, and when it is pulled, the three bone claws would automatically sprung out at the end of the big turtle shield and possibly pierce into the target.
Gerald Quinn then quickly raises the steel bastard sword, that he is currently holding within his right hand, into the air.
Before he then proceeded to swing the steel bastard sword down, diagonally, attempting to cut down the lizardman tribal warrior that is currently standing in front of him.
However, the experienced lizardman tribal warrior reacted, it then shifted the big turtle shield that it is carrying slightly. Covering the vast majority of its own figure and upper body behind the big turtle shield.
Gerald Quinn's steel bastard sword had failed to completely cut the lizardman tribal warrior down, as it struct the hard carapace of the big turtle shield.
The sword edge of Gerald Quinn's steel bastard sword had slid against the surface of the hard carapace of the big turtle shield. Not before leaving a long couple of millimetres sword mark on the hard carapace surface of the big turtle shield.
As the steel bastard sword slid down, across the surface of the big turtle shell. It thereby opened up a large gap within Gerald Quinn's defence for the lizardman tribal warrior to strike him.

The lizardman tribal warrior then took its chances, as it quickly raises its heavy wooden club into the air. And was about to bash Gerald Quinn's chest area, with the wooden club, at full strength.
However, Gerald Quinn was not about to let that happen, as his own life was on the line.
He then firmly hold onto the round shield that is strapped to his left arm. And with great force, Gerald Quinn then utilises the edge of his round shield to bash against the right arm of the lizardman tribal warrior that is currently holding the large wooden club.
The right arm of the lizardman tribal warrior was flung to the side, thereby deflecting the lizardman tribal warrior's wooden club blunt attack before it even reaches him.
And not letting the chance slip by him, the tip of Gerald Quinn's steel bastard sword was pointing towards the ground. So he then utilises the back end handle of his own sword to strike the head area of the lizardman tribal warrior.
The blunt force strike didn't do much damage to the lizardman tribal warrior, as it causes the monster creature some slight discomfort and a moment of disorientation.
As Gerald Quinn's steel bastard sword was already raised into the air, after he struct the lizardman tribal warrior in the head with the back end of his sword. And without much further thought, he then proceeded to cut down the disorientated lizardman tribal warrior that stood before him.
To be noted, as this immediately happens right after Gerald Quinn has deflected the lizardman tribal warrior blow with its large wooden club. A series of complex combative moves, done by an amatuer, under a mere second.
Gerald Quinn's steel bastard sword then rapidly descends downwards, cutting down the lizardman tribal warrior that stood in front of him, in a diagonal line.
And fresh blood then immediately spluttered out from the opened sword wound of the lizardman tribal warrior. The wound was extremely fatal, but the lizardman tribal warrior didn't immediately die yet.
It then immediately stumbles backwards by a couple of feets, staring back at Gerald Quinn's figure in disbelief, as it then slowly looks down at its own wounds and back at him again.
The lizardman tribal warrior was starting to lose a lot of blood, as its own breathing was becoming alot more harder and unmanageable.
The feeling was akin to somebody having slowly filling its lungs with sand, and steadily blocking the passage airway.
The dying lizardman tribal warrior had instinctively felt that its own body was slowly dying, and was thereby prepared to resign to its fate, but not without giving it all against the battle with Gerald Quinn like a true warrior.
The lizardman tribal warrior then tightened its grib over the handle of the wooden club that it was holding with its hand.
And it then recklessly charges towards Gerald Quinn's location, like a hopeless lunatic, resembling a charging caveman.
The lizardman tribal warrior had abandoned all sorts of defences, and thereby focuses on a full frontal assault on Gerald Quinn.
Seeing that the monster creature had abandoned all of its own defence, and focuses on a full frontal assault. Gerald Quinn then immediately gets into position, and thereby prepares his own sword stance.
As the lizardman tribal warrior quickly approaches towards him, near inches away from his current location.
Gerald Quinn then quickly swung his bastard steel sword, with all of the upper body strength that he could muster from his body.
The steel bastard sword had struck the lizardman tribal warrior in the neck region.

The edge of Gerald Quinn's steel bastard sword blade had made contact with the lizardman tribal warrior's hard external scale. And due to the concentrated blunt force of Gerald Quinn's sword strike, the suppose hard scales of the lizardman tribal warrior then caved in and cracked.
The steel bastard sword blade manages to pass through, cutting into the flesh and arteries within the lizardman tribal warrior's neck area.
As the steel bastard sword blade had struck the neck bone of the lizardman tribal warrior. It made a slight bone crackling noise, having met a untold obstruction, and couldn’t completely pass through.
Gerald Quinn then moved the handle of the steel bastard sword towards the left hand side, as the edge of the steel bastard sword blade then slid across the neck of the dying lizardman tribal warrior.
In a couple of seconds, Gerald Quinn has managed to successfully slit the throat of the now dying lizardman tribal warrior.
And not so long after, having lost a lot of blood, the lizardman tribal warrior then falls down, upon his knees first, face planting against ground. Completely dead and unmoving.
Ding!
Gerald Quinn then heard a familiar sound ringing inside of his head. It was the system notification alert.
It was then that a blue screen panel had appeared in front of him, indicating that he had successfully slain the lizardman tribal warrior.
(!) System Notification You have successfully killed a Lv.7 Lizardman Tribal Warrior! 525 experience points have been awarded for dealing the final killing blow! (!) System Notification Enough experience points have been gathered! Your main class profession {Warrior Lv.10} has levelled up and become {Warrior Lv.11}! All attribute stats has been increased due to levelling up growth modifier! Plus 3 Unallocated stats points! (!) System Notification You have gained 21 system points!
System points can be gained and acquired from killing monsters, completing quests and tasks, so on.
However, more system points will be awarded for killing much higher tier monsters.
For instance, a stone claw hare is a low tier monster. So it will award the user with 1 System Point for each kill, but as the level of the stone claw hare increases. The awarded system points will increase, correlating with the stone claw hare's level.
But , the lizardman tribal warrior is a higher Tier monster than the stone claw hare. So its base reward is 3 system points times the number of levels for the individual monster.
Tier 1 monster (Base System Point) x monster individual level = awarded system points.
Tier 3 monster Lizardman tribal warrior (3 Base System Points) × monster individual level (Lv.7) = 21 system points.
Gerald Quinn was momentarily distracted as he was looking through his system notification alerts, as an unexpected lizardman tribal warrior had appeared from his right side, intending to rush at him.
It was then that a male figure had called out to him, thereby alerting Gerald Quinn of the presence of a lizardman tribal warrior that is heading his way. "Gerald, Look Out! There's a lizardman monster heading your way in your particular direction!"
Having saw the nearby lizardman tribal warrior quickly approaching him, with its large wooden club completely raised in the air and was about to strike him.
"Shit!" Gerald Quinn loudly curses underneath his breath, as he then instinctively moves into position.
With his body steadily turning to the side and planting two feets firmly onto the ground, as he had his steel bastard sword facing horizontal to himself, attempting to parry or possibly block the lizardman tribal warrior's wooden club full on blunt force attack.
The lizardman tribal warrior's wooden club had clearly struct the steel bastard sword blade, thereby producing a loud metal clanging noise, as a strong vibration waves could be felt through the steel sword blade. And Gerald Quinn's rIght arm is constantly shaking due to the large impact.
Gerald Quinn was then forcefully pushed back, a couple of inches, by the lizardman tribal warrior's attack.
Unabled to withstand the blunt force of the lizardman tribal warrior's wooden club strike attack, Gerald Quinn was then force to stand with one knee into the ground, as both hands were one each end of the steel bastard sword in order to withstand the lizardman tribal warrior's blow.
The figure then shouted out loud, "Good, Gerald! Keep distracting the lizard creature, whilst I deal the final killing blow."
"Got it, big brother." Gerald Quinn responded, with a determined look on his face, as he did his best to survive.
The male figure that is fully decked out in metal armour from top to bottom, is none other than Gerald Quinn's older brother John Quinn.
And wielding two steel claymore in each hand, John Quinn then quickly charges towards the lizardman tribal warrior, as the creature has its back turn towards him. It gave John Quinn a major chance for a surprise attack.
John Quinn then raises both of his steel claymores into the air. And with rapid succession, he had performed a double slash with his two steel claymore.
The two steel claymore each struct the back of the lizardman tribal warrior, thereby producing several inches deep sword wounds. The two sword wound wound then intercept with each other, forming a cross mark on the lizardman tribal warrior's back.
The lizardman tribal warrior then felt a tremendous amount of pain, that which it had never felt before, upon its back.
'Now's my chance to get outta here.' Gerald Quinn then instinctively thought.
As the lizardman tribal warrior was momentarily distracted by the massive back pain that was causes by John Quinn's double slash attacks. Gerald Quinn then took his chance, as he pushed the lizardman tribal warrior out of the way, and then immediately got up.
And due to Gerald Quinn shuffling the creature aside, the lizardman tribal warrior had suddenly lost its own balance and footing. Thereby causing it fall over upon its back.
Seeing a chance to earn some free experienced points, John Quinn then quickly stab the downed lizardman tribal warrior with one of his steel claymores.
Not so long after, the lizardman tribal warrior then eventually dies, and John Quinn had successfully earned some experience points for killing it.
Ding!
John Quinn then heard the familiar sound of the system notification, as blue screen panel then appears in front of him, thereby confirming his kill.
(!) System Notification You have successfully killed a Lv.6 Lizardman Tribal Warrior! 487 experience points have been awarded for dealing the final killing blow! (!) System Notification Enough experience points have been gathered! Your main class profession {Warrior Lv.15} has levelled up and become {Warrior Lv.16}! All attribute stats has been increased due to levelling up growth modifier! Plus 3 Unallocated stats points! (!) System Notification You have gained 18 system points!
"Are you alright?" John Quinn said so towards Gerald Quinn, with a look of concern.
And Gerald Quinn then immediately responded with, "I'm fine."
He lightly shrugs the matter off, as he then felt a bit tired. Gerald Quinn then sighs internally.
John Quinn then asks Gerald Quinn a question. "You were distracted by something. You momentarily took your eyes off of the battlefield, and that which almost got yourself killed."
Gerald Quinn then averted his gaze and said. "I only just look at the system notification panel for a mere second. I didn't really expected for these to happen."
Another individual clad in light infantry armour then arrives at their location. It was another of Gerald Quinn's relative.
Lucas Quinn was the middle child of the Quinn family; with John Quinn being the oldest of five siblings.
It goes in the order of the oldest to youngest; John Quinn, Oliver Quinn, Lucas Quinn, Gerald Quinn, and Jessica Quinn.
Gerald Quinn has three brothers and a sister. A total of four siblings in one household, not including himself and their parents.
Lucas Quinn then hurriedly rushes over towards the two's location, as he then said. "Are you guys alright? I saw what happened at a distance, and just hope that you came out of the incident relatively unharmed."
Lucas Quinn was similarly of the {Warrior} class, just like Gerald Quinn and John Quinn. However, the weapon that he picked and use was a spear.
The {Warrior} class does not have an individual specialisation of whatever weapon the user can used, until they advances to the next stage, where they can pick what kind of class advancement they want and field of expertise.
"I really should have picked the magical path instead, and I randomly get a class that involves utilising magic instead. There I will be able to level up quicker and cast magic, rather than doing physical hard labour." Gerald Quinn then spoke whatever was lingering upon his mind.
John Quinn then immediately shuts that idea, forcing Gerald Quinn to accept reality. "Don't get your hopes up too soon, as the {Mage} class is really not as that powerful as you would think."
"Have you not seen, Jessica? After casting fireball a level 1 Fire Magic three to four times. Her mana pool completely empties out, thereby causing her to be extremely tired and in a weakened state. So why do you think she has to stay in the back lines of the camp, instead of being upon the battlefield like us." John Quinn said.
Due to the ongoing battle with the Viking Draugrs, much of the inhabitants of the eastern coastal regions of Ireland have thereby been evacuated.
And much of the human population of Ireland have evacuated and has taken refuge in the seven major cities of Ireland. With Dublin having been fully abandoned due to being extremely close to epic centre of the confrontation with the Viking Draugr.
Due to large human population consisting of several millions, seven major cities are not enough to fully encompass the entire human population of Ireland.
So some people were rejected entree into the seven major cities, thereby giving rise to garrisons.
A collection of individuals who were denied the safe entry into the seven major cities. And they could only form large camps and groups outside of the seven major cities, and slowly fend for themselves off against the invading monsters.
Dave Rost 3rd Pov
At the same time, in someone else's backyard. You could instinctively hear the sounds of metal clashing with one another, and metal sparks flying everywhere.
Standing in the centre of one's backyard was two figure; one was none other than Dave Rost and the other is his older brother Daniel Rost.
The two were busy exchanging blows with one another, whilst teaching another how to wield a sword.
Practical experiences through sparring can actually alleviate the level of acquiring skill proficiency for handling a sword. As you are forced to repeatedly improve yourself at handling a sword until you get it right.
A curious thought then passes through Dave Rost's head, 'I wondered how Gerald is doing. I don't really think his training is that much difficult when compared to mine.'
{End of Chapter}
Gerald Quinn: How is this fair? Whilst, the others are peacefully biding their time in order to get stronger. We are then immediately gets thrown onto a battlefield.
John Quinn: Circumstances, brother. Circumstances. Everyone is currently experiencing the same thing, but others may have it more worser than us.
Dave Rost: Well, it sucks to be you then. Gerald.
Daniel Rost: Oh hey, John! Long time no see.
John Quinn: It has definitely been a while. We haven't actually saw each other in years. And the last time we met each was when we all finished highschool.
Daniel Rost: It's kind of like Dave and his friends.
John Quinn: Yeah...
