《Mr. Vampire’s Wife》Chapter 190: Can’t You Hurry and Come Out Already?

A few days had passed ever since the couple had returned to the human realm. However, everything was eerily peaceful. The enemy hadn’t plotted against them at all. Even when Lilica had asked Rena whether the enemy had ordered her to do anything, Rena had told her that there were no orders.
“Kazuya, I think that the enemy might be preparing something big. It’s been too peaceful these days.” Lilica decided to consult with him.
“I also have a feeling that he’s prepared something big. I’ve already replaced all the servants in this villa to people that can be trusted so there shouldn’t be any spies left. In a few days, grandfather will come to the human world to help us search for the enemy. Apparently, grandfather knows who the enemy is.” Kazuya replied, trying to make her worries disappear.
“I know but I can’t shake this feeling of uncertainty off. I’m scared that I’ll wake up one day, not finding you next to me anymore. I still think that staying in the demon realm might be safer. The human world is the enemy’s territory after all.” Lilica said as she held his hand. She wanted to go back to the demon realm since she felt that there were more people in the demon realm that could protect them.
“In the human realm, the enemy can’t just approach us and try to kill us so blatantly using magic. If you’re worried, you know you can stay in the demon realm, right? Being too near to the enemy is quite dangerous after all.” Kazuya replied. Even though he didn’t want to be separated from her, he still wanted her to stay out of harm’s way.
“But staying with you makes me feel the most secure. Can’t you just let someone investigate instead?” Somehow, she was feeling very insecure. Perhaps it was because she was pregnant.

“I can’t. This is part of my responsibility as a prince. When there is danger that is approaching the demon realm, we royal family members have to fight and eliminate any threat as quickly as possible. What are you worried about anyway? I won’t just suddenly disappear.” Kazuya sighed helplessly. Actually, he could leave the investigating role to the ministers but some of the ministers were already suspected of being a spy so no one could be trusted right now.
Lilica just frowned. She also didn’t know what she was so worried about.
“Don’t worry. For now, just focus on our cute little twins.” Kazuya said in a gentle tone before he bent his head down to kiss her stomach.
Lilica’s stomach was bigger than the average since she was pregnant with twins, but it was still a little too small for twins, making Kazuya a little worried. This could mean that their babies wouldn’t be so healthy after birth. Not only did Lilica not have enough energy for them, they were going to be premature too, and now, the size of Lilica’s stomach was a little worrying. Although the doctor had said that the babies were developing just fine, Kazuya couldn’t help but feel worried.
“Okay.” Lilica replied as she caressed her protruding stomach lovingly.
“Another 6 months to go… Can’t you just hurry and come out already?” Kazuya talked to the babies. If they could quickly come out to see the world, one of his worries would be gone!
Lilica chuckled at his sentence. She also couldn’t wait to meet her babies!
“Should we get a doctor to stay in this villa too, just in case?” Kazuya asked as he rubbed her stomach lovingly.
“That might be a good idea. Travelling back and forth every month may increase the risk of miscarriage too. Plus, I don’t want to experience the plane being hijacked again. I can just return to the demon realm during the last 3 months of my pregnancy to wait for labor.” Lilica agreed.

“Okay. I’ll get one of the best imperial doctors to come by next week then.” Kazuya then hugged her stomach before he stood up to go eat breakfast. Today was a weekend so they didn’t have to go to work. Kazuya had decided to go assist the investigation team today together with the knights. However, he was still worried about Lilica, so he ordered Ven to stay with her at home, guarding her.
After breakfast, Kazuya took off and Lilica was left at home with Ven.
“So, I heard that you won’t be going back to the demon realm until the last three months?” Ven asked as the two walked inside the house after seeing Kazuya off.
“Yeah. Why? Sad that you can’t meet Tina every month now?” Lilica teased. As Ven was a knight, usually, he wouldn’t even have time for his family when they were threats to the demon realm. This meant that he had to accompany Lilica and Kazuya for the whole time, meaning he couldn’t go back to meet Ventina in the demon realm until the mission was over or until Lilica decides to go back.

Why? How? These were the questions that Shi Guang were faced with after his mysterious appearance once more.Just what are Young Master Lu’s motives? Why is he always watching out for her even though he was the one that had dumped her? And worst still… What’s with that tsundere attitude of his…?!Translator’s Review: This is a really sweet novel about a couple that just annoys one another in the cutest ways. Lu Yanchen is a descendant of a powerful aristocratic military family. Cold, aloof, genius and sharp, this is a man that has it all – status, smarts and looks. But none of that matters when it comes to affairs involving his silly woman as everything melts away into an encompassing warmth. Purple-Red Beauty is someone that spends a lot of time building the settings of her novels. Earlier on, I too was rather annoyed at some of the things that Lu Yanchen did. But once the story gets on track… everything suddenly seemed even sweeter than before! If any of you have heard of the Japanese manga Itazura na Kiss or have caught any of the many Japanese (Mischievous Kiss), Chinese (It Started With A Kiss) and Korean (Playful Kiss) drama reboots made for it, you will definitely love it! :PThank you for reading updated His Breathtaking and Shimmering Light novel @ReadWebNovels.net

The Woman In The Palace
Highest rank #1 in Historical He glared at me with irritation. "Come inside!" ...And I did. He pointed to the stack of books on the floor. "Pick them up and arrange them the way they're supposed to."With trembling hands, I did what he asked quickly. Fret in the way I moved, picking up the books into my arms and lap one by one only for them to fall back on the floor over and over. I was a mess, upset, and it was obvious. This wasn't the kind of first meeting I dreamed of.The second prince was mean, and he was irritable. He had no clue who I am which made me resent it even more.He scowled as he watched me made mistakes after mistakes and after a while, he grew frustrated and bent over, picking the books himself."Forgive me, I didn't mean to snarl at you the way I did. I'm not used to being distracted. No one ever walks in my office unless they have my permission. I don't even know how the guardsmen let you in." I wanted to say because unlike you, they recognized who I am. But I kept my mouth shut in fear of aggravating his anger. His voice took a lot gentler tone, I imagined he must've realized how upset I was and felt bad about it.I said nothing. When we're done, I rose up to my feet, couldn't wait to get out of this room. This man was so impolite to me that I couldn't wait to get away from him."I apologize, your highness. I didn't mean to distract you in your private office." I stepped back getting ready to leave when a sliver of sunlight struck highlighting my face. "Wait!" He murmured and I turned back to look at him."You're beautiful." He said breathlessly.I would have blushed, but he was so mean and rude to me that his compliment lost its impact long ago."I need to go," I told him."Wait." A wave of panic rose in the tide of his voice. The prince was afraid to lose me. "What's your name, girl?" He asked quickly. "Jasmine, my name is Jasmine, your highness.""My Jasmine?" He murmured hopeful.
