Kazuya followed the doctor to another medical room. He saw how pale and pained Lilica looked and felt like his heart was broken. He quickly followed the doctor’s instructions and begun transferring his energy to Lilica.

The moment his energy touched Lilica, he could feel a great force pulling his energy away. This meant that fortunately, Lilica’s body didn’t reject him.

Many hours later, Kazuya was still transferring his energy to Lilica. Maybe because she was pregnant with twins, Lilica need a lot of magical energy. Kazuya had been transferring his energy constantly while resupplying himself with food. However, it just seemed endless. Lilica continued sucking his energy for over two days!

After two days, Lilica finally stopped taking in Kazuya’s energy. This meant that Kazuya could finally take a rest and that she now had enough energy. However, whether Lilica would ever wake up was a different matter.

Kazuya immediately fainted after Lilica stopped taking in energy. He had fainted for about five days before he finally woke up. He quickly got up as soon as he opened his eyes. He ignored the doctors that were nursing him and ran to the room Lilica was in.

He walked into the room, feeling hopeful that she would already be awake and that she was safe. However, reality was different. What greeted his eyes was a pale faced-Lilica, looking like she was in great discomfort. However, the pained expression on her face had faded.

Kazuya felt disappointed but he still held onto the tiny hope that she would open her eyes any moment now. He walked in closer and held her hands tightly, praying that she would open her eyes.

As if his prayers was heard, Lilica slowly opened her eyes.

“Ka…zu…ya…” Lilica muttered hoarsely in her dried voice.

“! You’re awake!” Kazuya immediately lifted his face up to look at Lilica.

Lilica coughed as she tried to reply but felt that her throat was parched. Kazuya noticed and immediately ordered for someone to bring water for her to drink.

Kazuya pulled her in lightly for a hug. During the two days that he had given her energy endlessly felt like living hell. He didn’t know whether Lilica would ever open her eyes again and just the thought of having to live in a world without her made him lose motivation to live on.

“Do you feel hurt anywhere?” Kazuya asked worriedly.

Lilica shook her head as she smiled at him, trying to reassure him that she was fine.

After Lilica drank her water, she asked, “What happened? Why do you look so tired?”

She noticed that he looked very tired, there were dark circles beneath his eyes, as if he hadn’t slept for days.

Kazuya didn’t answer her but kissed her instead, trying to take in her warmth so that he could believe that this wasn’t a dream. Unknowingly, a tear drop fell down his handsome face as he felt relieved.

Lilica knew that he must’ve felt insecure so she just kissed him back without saying anything.

After a while, the couple finally stopped kissing.

“I’m fine. You don’t need to feel so worried. That’s right! Do you know that we’re having twins? I was so surprised when grandmother told me!” Lilica tried to change the topic since she didn’t want Kazuya to feel so down.

“I know.” Kazuya replied softly as he continued embracing her. He knew that Lilica wanted to change the topic but this incident really made him blame himself. Why wasn’t he together with her every time she was attacked? What could he possibly do to prevent her from harm?

“Ahem. Second Prince, Second Princess. I need the both of you to go through some examinations to check whether you’re fine or not.” The doctor reminded the couple.

“I want to take the examinations together with my wife.” Kazuya said determinedly. This time, he was really going to stick together with Lilica all the time.

“In that case, please follow me to another room.” The doctor replied helplessly. She knew that Kazuya was really scared of losing Lilica so she could only compromise.

The couple followed the doctor to go through several examinations. After a few hours, the couple were finally done and the results showed that the both of them were healthy, except the fact that their magical power had changed.
