As the three guys were leaving, Keith also decided to leave since he wanted to help Rona confirm the final preparations. Over the past month, Rona and his relationship became closer, but they were still on the friend stage. He wanted to show Rona that he really cared about her, so he decided to just leave the party to help her.

Ken also tagged along to the room, but the party was already over, so he was going to bring Kazuya back to his bedroom. Kazuki and Lilienne also excuse escorted Lilica back to another room prepared for her before going back to their own bedroom.

Being alone in another room in the palace was something new to Lilica. She had only ever stayed in Kazuya’s room, so she didn’t have her own room in the palace. The room was spacious and comfortable but Lilica felt a little lonely. She missed sleeping next to Kazuya and cuddling in his warm embrace.

On the other hand, Kazuya was woken up by Ken, who was trying to move his body to his bedroom. On the way to Kazuya’s bedroom, Ken was trying his best to drag the heavy body across the corridor when he saw a silhouette walk by in front of him. Somehow, he felt that the silhouette was very familiar to him. He thought that the silhouette was similar to Lacey, who should have died.

He rubbed his eyes and looked towards the direction that the silhouette went but saw nobody there. Maybe he was hallucinating from drinking alcohol. He opened Kazuya’s bedroom door and threw Kazuya on the bed before heaving a sigh from his hard work and returning to his room. He was also living in the palace but at a different wing from Kazuya’s.

In a meeting room in the palace

“Your majesty! As I’ve been saying, we shouldn’t let that woman get married to our prince! We don’t know what that woman is planning!” One of the ministers voiced his opinion.

They had been debating on the matter of Kazuya’s marriage for over two months, but the royal family didn’t change their mind. The ministers and councilors were against Lilica and Kazuya’s marriage since Lilica wasn’t a vampire. They thought that a succubus was unworthy of carrying the royal blood.

“Sigh… You all know that no matter what she’s already pregnant, right? The wedding’s already happening tomorrow, and you still think that we’re going to cancel it?” The king replied tiredly. He had been busy dealing with this bunch of stubborn old men and looking for the enemy that he felt like he’d aged several hundred years.

“However! You need to reconsider this! What if she’s scheming against us?” Another councilor voiced his opinion. All of them hadn’t had any contact with Lilica before but just assumed that she had bad intentions.

“Enough! Lilica has already been approved by the Queen! Have you all even interacted with her before? How do you know that she might be scheming? Stop being biased! It’s not like we can’t have mixed blood in the royal family. The first prince is already having a pure-blooded child so all your concerns should have dissipated!” The king shouted angrily. He was already tired with dealing with their nonsense. Instead of having more time to find information on the enemy, he had to deal with this nonsense.

Seeing the king’s angry outburst, all of them went silent as they felt a little guilty for being biased. It was true that they didn’t know what she was like and they just assumed that this woman who seemed to have appeared out of nowhere was aiming for the throne.

“I want you all to think carefully if you really think you weren’t biased towards her. That’s all! Meeting adjourned!” The king shouted before leaving the room.

After the king left the room, the rest of them whispered amongst themselves displeasingly even though they knew they were being biased.

Back to Lilica’s room

Lilica couldn’t sleep since she was feeling excited at the thought of finally being Kazuya’s wife. Although they had been treating each other as spouses since many months ago, she was finally going to be a bride tomorrow. Just the thought of it made her heart pound so hard she couldn’t sleep at all.

After rolling around on the bed for so long, she found herself feeling tired but not sleepy at all. She tried counting sheep while closing her eyes but somehow all the sheep just turned into Kazuya and soon, her head was filled with a harem of Kazuyas. This made her more awake than ever and she felt like she needed to cool her head, so she went to balcony.

Breathing in the fresh cold air made her muddled thoughts disappear but it didn’t make her sleepy at all. Lilica soon went back inside after a few minutes to tour around the spacious room. This room was actually Kazuya’s old bedroom when he was a child. She decided to just search around the room for some embarrassing things that her husband-to-be had.

Lilica walked over to the cupboard and pulled out a drawer, finding a box inside. She took the box out and saw a plush doll of a girl. To her surprise, this was the doll that she remembered she had given to a boy that she was playing with when she was little. However, she couldn’t recall how she had parted ways with the boy.

Originally, this doll was in Kazuya’s current bedroom but since he was getting married to Lilica, he decided to store away this doll he got from Lilienne as to not make her feel uncomfortable.

As Lilica examined the doll, she was even more sure that this doll used to be hers since her mother was the one who made it and there were her initials on the doll’s skirt. So, it seems her first love actually Kazuya! Recalling how badly Kazuya was jealous of her first love made her chuckle. My hubby is just too cute!

Lilica decided to bring the doll to sleep with her and surprisingly, she soon found herself sleepy and dozed off after a few minutes.
