Designation: MON-101 (“Beasts of the Red”)
Object Class: Variable
MON-101-A: Eirene-Green MON-101-B: Fornax-Green MON-101-C: Fornax-Orange MON-101-D: Ioke-Orange MON-101-E: Ioke-Red
Hazard Types: Aggression, Physical, Electrical, Grouped, Sentient, Sapient, Cognition
Environment Protocols: MON-101 entities will constantly emit a red energy wavelength similar to the substance secreted by OTH-███. When absorbed by a living human, the energy greatly improves the physical capabilities of the subject, while also inducing heightened aggression and emotional instability. Hence, all personnel interacting with MON-101 entities must wear hazmat suits during interactions, then undergo the OTH-███ cleansing process aftwards to prevent build-up. See OTH-███’s entry for more details.
Each of the MON-101 entities must be placed in individual 5m x 5m x 5m containment cells built from titanium and coated in lead-lined paint. Cameras connected to a SAT-110 artificial intelligence are to monitor the chamber for any erratic behavior or breach attempts, with the logs inspected every day. Maintenance must be performed every three days, to clean the cell and repair any damage caused to the walls and the paint.
Specifics for each of the entities is as follows:
MON-101-B: Rubber padding must be added to reduce physical trauma. MON-101-C: Chamber must be flooded with water, then electrified to disable MON-101-C. Afterwards, the chamber must be drained and any remaining slime is to be removed. MON-101-D: Rubber padding capable of withstanding high-voltage electricity must be added. Cameras must be hidden as to not be destroyed by MON-101-D MON-101-E: Must be given frequent sedatives of Grade IV and higher. Any communication with MON-101-E—verbal, written or otherwise—is prohibited.
The feeding schedules of the entities are as follows:
MON-101-A: One live chicken every two days. MON-101-B: One recently deceased cadaver every three days. MON-101-C: Four litres of human blood substitute every three days. MON-101-D: One live HTS-personnel (Human Test Subject) every day. MON-101-E: [LEVEL 4 CLEARANCE REQUIRED]

Due to the infectious nature of the red energy, no other objects are allowed inside MON-101’s containment chamber under any circumstances. Any instances of this occurring must be reported immediately.
Description: MON-101 refers to a collection of five entities with bodies made from varied collections of human organs, but do not resemble any whole human being. All of them have confirmed sapience and are hostile towards any humans. They also constantly radiate the red energy associated with OTH-███ and do not respond to any communication attempts. Their diet consists of living or recently dead tissue.
MON-101-A:
MON-101-A is a skinless humanoid creature. Its body is constructed from exposed muscular sinew, resembling human tissue, but does not secrete any blood or other internal fluids. Its bodily mass is also relatively light and is theorized to contain no bones or internal organs. This is supported by the way its limbs flop around when introduced to blunt force trauma. Its face is featureless, lacking organs except for a pair of white expressionless eyes and a set of sharpened teeth.
When left alone, it will wander around the area by itself. When a human approaches, it will quickly become hostile and attempt to kill the nearest human. It does this by using its limbs to pummel its target, then rip out their vital spots with its teeth.
MON-101-B:
MON-101-B is a quadruped creature resembling a horse constructed from human body parts. The flank is an exposed human torso with the ribs jutting out. The legs are constructed from random arrangements of bones, muscles and intestines—some of which belong to the upper body instead of the lower body. The tail is a long extension consisting of a hardened intestine shaft, covered in rampant hair growth. Multiple functional eyes, mouths and noses cover the stretched flesh across its body. Unlike MON-101-A, MON-101-B does secrete blood when damaged, but will quickly regenerate any wounds.
Despite its odd appearance, MON-101-B is capable of moving swiftly, using its body to ram into objects and swiping its tail in other to slash objects. Its body is also very durable, capable of enduring gunshots and regenerating the damaged flesh in a matter of minutes. Its multiple eyes and mouths make it susceptible to bright lights and toxic vapours, respectively.

MON-101-C:
MON-101-C is an amorphous mass of translucent red slime. Unlike MON-101-A and MON-101-B, MON-101-C lacks any identifying features of its own. When left alone, it will remain immobile in place. When a human approaches, it will rapidly slide its body across the ground to reach the target, then rise its upper body to swallow said target. It will then dissolve the target inside the body, converting it into more mass. Testing has reported speeds exceeding that of an ordinary cheetah, with none of the endurance limitations.
Analysis of the MON-101-C slime has revealed a chemical makeup similar to blood. Its texture resembles blood gelatin. Consumption of the slime is strictly prohibited, as it will result in the subject being transformed into another MON-101-C instance. It and the original instance will attempt to reunite, resulting in a potential containment breach. MON-101-C is highly resistant to physical trauma. Suppression efforts of it should be done via electrical shocks, fire or diluting its bodily mass with water.
MON-101-D:
MON-101-D is a collection of six human hands tied together with metal wire in a circle. The composition of the hands—from finger length to birth lines—are all exactly the same. Movement is conducting by manipulating the fingers to climb across the ground and walls, similar to an arachnid. The metal wire radiates an electrical pulse and can expel bolts of electricity to damage nearby objects. When MON-101-D comes into contact with a human, it will deliver a fatal electrical shock, then tear apart the victim’s body to consume its internal organs, via throwing them into the metal circle (at which the organs disappear).
Unlike MON-101-A, MON-101-B and MON-101-C, MON-101-D actively attempts to breach containment in periods of wakefulness. It is incapable of speech and does not react to either bright lights or darkness. Its grip force has reached upwards of 1000 psi and its expelled electricity is a constant 5,000 Amps.
MON-101-E:
MON-101-E is a humanoid figure wearing a boy’s school uniform. Its outward appearance is that of an ordinary human adolescent male, but internal study of its body revealed [COGNITOHAZARD REMOVED]. During communication attempts, MON-101-E mentioned that [COGNITOHAZARD REMOVED] and its purpose was to collect the ‘souls of humans for a great awakening’. A golden light was emitting from its body amongst the red, that upon connecting with HTS-personnel, resulted in [COGNITOHAZARD REMOVED] and a containment breach of all MON-101 entities. MON-101-E has also demonstrated great [COGNITOHAZARD REMOVED] and the ability to [COGNITOHAZARD REMOVED] that left its victims strewn across the floor in bloody messes.
Any recorded speech and text describing MON-101-E’s anatomy and/or abilities will be infected by a virulent cognitohazard, thus obfuscating information about itself. Personnel assigned to it must undergo mandatory Grade III cognitohazard resistance training. The cognitohazard itself does not seem to affected by this restriction.
We must be vigilant in monitoring MON-101-E. If they were to breach, they could communicate with other Anomalies, resulting in another catastrophic containment breach.
Work Notes: For MON-101-A to D, all work types except nutrient and violence work failed. For MON-101-E, amusement and communication work succeeded, but the HTS-personnel had to be terminated afterwards.
Resonance: We are not letting OTH-001-UT anywhere near these things. Not when the red energy is so poorly understood. OTH-███ must be researched first.
Addenda: The MON-101 entities were discovered on ██/██/2085 in the town of ████, Victoria, Australia. Eyewitnesses reported a red portal appearing in the sky, expelling the five entities together in the middle of the town plaza. The entities then began attacking the nearby citizens, resulting widespread destruction to most parts of the town. Most damage was conducted from the electricity from MON-101-D and the [COGNITOHAZARD REMOVED] from MON-101-E.
Suppression efforts were conducted by ASF-Bravo-2 (“Deadeye”) with additional assistance of OTH-001-UT. Memory alteration was then done on the surviving citizens of the town. The cover story was presented to the media as a vicious and sudden lightning storm.
Total casualties were ██ injured and ██ deceased.

Demons Don't Lie
Algier, average human and recent convict, has committed the gravest sin of all: demon slaying. His fate? To participate in the Culling, a battle-royale style tournament that’s televised live to the world, where all the worst criminals go to die. As with all tournaments, a prize is on the line. If Algier survives, he can have any wish granted by the Marquises, the new rulers of Earth following the demons’ invasion. However, there’s little hope for survival in a tournament designed to have demons do the work of the executioner, especially for a human. Demons are stronger, faster, wiser, and more talented than the average human, and, despite his crime, Algier is no demon hunter. Mentally defeated before the tournament even begins, Algier is torn between becoming another demon’s points and fighting on in his dead mother’s legacy. But should he choose to fight, there is one advantage that Algier has that can tip the odds in his favour: Demons don’t lie, but humans can. How to read this story Demons Don't Lie is written from the perspective of an unreliable (lying) narrator. There are many inconsistencies within the story which are placed there intentionally. It's up to the reader to decide what is the truth and what is the lie. Promotion Full quality cover image
