《Oddity》Chapter 5

I woke up in a field of golden cattails. They tickled my legs as I wandered, waiting for something to happen. The field of cattails seemed to drag on for miles and a slight breeze went over them. The sun glittered brightly in the pale blue sky, clouds scattered around in puffy white. A single gray cloud showed.
The exotic voice returned, “Lunar, you have found Ambrose and started bonding with him. Just as I had asked, thank you.”
“You're welcome,” I replied automatically. “Now could I please get some answers?”
“I will answer what I can.”
“What is your name?”
“My name is Devita.”
“Devita,” I repeated. Suddenly everything turned stormy gray and I heard screaming. Flashes of lighting went over the once peaceful field. Rain started downpouring, This feels oddly familiar I thought. Something strikes my back. In pain I collapsed. I started crying out for help, “Make it stop! Make it stop, please!” Shivering from the rain I curled up into a ball.
I heard another scream, “Help, Lunar please!” I recognized the voice. Who was it? I thought to myself.
Another voice is calling my name.
“Lunar, Lunar, Lunar!” I get startled awake, Amaria is shaking me.
“W-what happened?” I was confused.
“You were screaming, shaking, and crying. I was worried.”
“Oh, I’m so sorry.” I replied.
“No, it is fine. I’m guessing you were having a nightmare.”
Startled, I remembered the voice, “I was, someone's voice who I recognized was crying out to me. I can’t figure out who it was.” I was trembling. Amaria kept holding onto my shoulders, and moved in for a hug.
“Go back to sleep, it will be okay. I am right here,” She said.

“What about my mom?” Suddenly I panicked.
“I bet you she is okay! We can visit her in the morning, okay?” I nodded and laid back down, “Thanks,” I closed my eyes. I don’t know when I fell asleep but, I woke up in the morning to Amaria slowly getting out of our fort.
“Amaria?” I asked, rubbing the tired out of my eyes. She stuck her head in our fort, “Did I wake you?” She asked, worriedly.
“Oh, no you didn’t.”
“Oh, good,” she sighed relieved, “Well, as long as you are up, let's go get some food.”
“Alright, I wonder if my mum is okay.”
“We can ask my parents, once we get to the living room,” Amaria replied.
We were greeted by her mums, along with sweet fruit and fresh waffles. “Dig in you guys,” Clara said.
“Is my mum okay?” I desperately asked for an update.
“I am not quite sure, do you want to go check up on her?” Aria soothingly asked.
“Can I?”
“Yeah, of course,” Aria replied.
“Can I go with?” Amaria begged her Mums.
“She can come, I’m okay with it,” I quickly said eager to get to my mum.
“Well, if Lunar is okay with it we don’t mind,” Clara said.
“Yay!” Amaria practically jumped with joy.
“Have fun, guys!” Aria smiled.
“No doubt about that!” Amaria skipped away. As we were walking Amaria paused for a moment and asked, “Have you heard the myth of the fairy?”
“The fairy?” Curiosity raised.
“Yeah,” She responded.
“I actually haven't.” A sneaky smile came across her lips, “Ooh! You are in for a treat,” She smirked
“Ah, should I be worried?” I laughed.

“Maybe…” She looked at me mysteriously.
“Ooh, try me.”
“Alright… It all happened years ago, before we were born.”
“Well I would think so-” I started.
“Hah, yeah I probably didn’t need to mention that. Well, it started early in the morning.”
“Oh, not the cliche ‘Dark stormy night’,”
“Guess not,” She smiled. “Well, this little fairy was… some would say evil. She flew around and spoiled crops using her powder, if someone would disrespect her.”
“What exactly do you mean by ‘disrespect her’?” I questioned.
“Well, if they did something that was against her idea.”
“Like..?”
“Like, call people names or abuse others.”
“But, that isn't that bad is it?”
“Well yes, it is. I don’t understand why other people called her evil. I am just repeating the myth.”
“Oh, I am sorry,” I looked down at my knees.
“No, no, it's okay. I love this myth whether or not it makes sense, especially since she is a princess,” she giggled.
“Please continue, you have piqued my interest, my lady,” I said in a royal voice. She stopped mid-walking, looked at me, and started laughing, “Lunar! Don’t make me laugh so hard,” she said coughing. “Ah! I’m sorry my lady! It wasn’t meant to make you choke!” I exclaimed in my fake royalty voice again. She snorted which made me laugh. We fell to the ground laughing. Trying to get our breath back, sweat on our forehead from the hot sun and laughing.
“Actually though, I do want to hear the rest of the myth,”
“Oh, right, let me continue. Where did I leave off?”
“You told me about how the fairy would curse people and crops, if they disrespected her.”
“Ah, right. Well, she was gorgeous, she had long flowing silver hair, bright purple eyes, and purple maple leaf style wings. She lived in a whole in a maple tree.”
“Oh, just like her wings.”
“Yeah, exactly. One day she-”
“Amaria! I don’t mean to interrupt but, we made it.” We ran towards the herbalist.
“Mum!” I cried out and hugged her.
“Hello, my moonshine.” She looked up and realized Amaria was with me, “Oh, and hello Amaria.”
“Hi, Alba.”
“How are you doing?” I asked Mum.
“Better,” she replied.
“Good! What about the baby?”
“She is doing great!”
“She?!” I gasped, “You figured her gender out?”
“Yeah,” Mum smiled brightly.
“What about her name?”
“Well, I’m not quite sure… Why don't you come up with some names?”
“Ooh ok, leave it to me,” I proudly smiled. She smiled at me, “Alright, I have to get her nursery set up.”
“Can I help?” I asked eagerly.
“Of course, Amaria can help too.” Amaria's face glowed up, “I love decorating.” I thought back to her beautifully decorated home, “Yeah, please help.” I said elated.

Work discontinued and ending. Other authors are free to message me if they want to take it A synopsis serves to attract attention without lying. This is useful because it gives a first impression of the novel, and immerse even before plunging into the story. Unfortunately, it does not count as one of my specialties. This fanfic is really peculiar and I think that few people will be able to appreciate it. So instead of trying to make you salivate, then have you disappointed, it would be better for you to make your own opinion, that is if you have time on your hands. If you do not like one piece or shounen animes, then you'd better turn back, as it would be a worthless read for you. If you've made it this far and have time to spare for yet one worthless attempt at making an original one-piece fanfic, then have a good read. N.B: I do not own one Piece or Fist of the north star, the image above, or any other anime/fictional character referenced in this fiction Please do not donate on this particular fanfic!
