《Oddity》Prologue

When I officially turned six, I got my Auterclara. From what I understand, each person that is raised in my tribe has a special color that does not show until they are three, but the color can change. So, they are careful and it is revealed when they are six. Only a group of elders can see this. They talk to the tailor and create a clothing design based on their personality.
My color is called flowering moons, the color of bright moons in the sky. The design of my clothes is simple. A hide shirt with an upside-down triangle design where my neck is, with a green rope made with a special vine that only grows here. It never dies or withers because it needs no water. Like my shirt, my pants are the same colored hide.
After the main birthday celebration, the adults went out for drinks and time away from their kids, while the kids get a fruity bar with different flavors of juice and water. That night, before we went home, everyone looked at the sky.
“It’s a Flowering moon…” I muttered I had never seen one before but I had heard a ton about them.
In our world, the sky has five moons. There is one that rises right above the water and the four others surround it. Once every six years, the five moons create this flower-like formation, when all of the moons are full, giving off a yellowish silver aura. That is where the name, “Flowering Moon,” comes from.
Every six hundred years, there is something called a “Dancing Flowering Moon.” If you look at our sky, it is as if the four small moons surrounding the biggest moon are dancing in a circle repeatedly. It gives off this beautiful noise. It kind of sounds like flowers blowing in the wind, if you know what I mean. No one truly knows how the “Dancing Flowering Moon” happens. It will forever be the mystery of Aerilon, our world.

Over and over I lived... and died. Until one day... the ball of yarn I had been chasing around... finally unraveled itself. What was at end of the string... nothing, because that's all it is... a string of life... and death. But say... I am the one who unraveled the yarn ball of life and death.. so why must I abide by the rules of it? Why must my life... or rather... lives... be mortal? I... should be the only one... the only person to have unraveled that ball. The ONLY one, huh... sound nice... doesn't it? An infinite time... one devoid of the rules life and death that have been set upon me... a time that I should own... and one that I do own, from on, and forever.
