《Carefree Demon》"Mysterious forest and the strange lady"

Leif quickly turned his head but was met with nothing but air.
He became alert and had a defensive stance as he tried to judge from where the voice was coming from.
"Haha foolish human do you think you can catch me when you are in my forest," said the voice teasingly.
Lief quickly out one of his best-brandished swords he had obtained on Theo's backpack and imbedded it with his path energy while flinging a sharp flint of stone also imbedded with path energy in the direction the voice was coming from.
Suddenly a voice came from the opposite direction in a chilling voice," It was my fault for taking pity on you, w-e-a-k human."
The voice suddenly disappeared while a humanoid form of light suddenly appeared from that direction.
Before Leif could say anything its figure blurred and struck him directly in the chest.
He felt as if all of his bones had been shattered and as if his entire chest was caved in.
Even though Leif was a being in the metamorphosis realm he was sent flying toward a nearby tree trunk and crashed into it.
BOOM!
A deafening sound was heard and the tree twisted before falling to the ground.
But almost magically the next second it started recovering and stood where it used to stand with no injuries or destruction in its trunk.
Unfortunately, it was not the same for Lief who was lying flat on the ground with blood coming from his mouth. He looked like a kite's string was cut and had landed flat on the floor.
After two minutes he was pulled by a tree trunk and he felt as if his internal wounds were magically healed by someone.
Before he could speak again the voice commanded, "Hit me."

Lief was on the verge of tears as he pleaded, " Senior I am so sorr-"
Before he was interrupted by the voice again, " Or you can die."
Lief could only swallow his complaints and he walked closer and closer to the figure raising his hand filled with 'path' energy.
But as he released hands for the strike he felt as if the entire world going upside down.
" Why is the ground in the place of the sky and why is the sky down there..." he muttered as he lost consciousness once again.
A couple of hours later,
Leif felt as if his entire body was weightless and that he was floating in the sky without any worries.
Suddenly his face twisted and he woke up in such a hurry that he fell out of the bed he resting on.
"Where am I?" Leif, felt himself getting paranoid.
"All you humans are the same." a voice drifted over.
As Leif, he saw the vines near the moving and a figure moving. It was a young lady of average stature but she was still a bit shorter than Leif.
She had emerald green hair and she had a displeased expression on her face. Her face was long, but she gave no impression of foolishness, rather of extreme alertness; she had the quick movements of a bird.
Moreover, she had a clear and charming voice that felt pleasing to the ear.
Leif was dazed for a bit after seeing her.
"Humph," she snorted as she was clearly displeased by this.
He quickly snapped out of this and he quickly became quite embarrassed. But he quickly bowed towards her," Thank you Senio-"
"Don't call me senior!" she interrupted him.
Leif was dumbfounded at this lady who always interrupted him.

'𝙒𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗼 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁' Leif thought silently but did not dare to say it out loud. It was for the first time in his life did someone beaten him up so hard. So he knew he could not mess around with her.
"You can call me as Lady tree spirit, leave all of that and tell me why you were messing around near this forest," she said in an impatient tone.
Leif quickly told about his circumstances but she was not surprised at all instead she said, "Get lost and never come back to this forest" she said icily.
Leif nodded his head and was able to reply when he was flung outside by the tree branch.
With a shriek, he flew down to the ground.
"Ow, I think I just broke my back!" Leif wined as he got up from the ground.
Without looking back at the forest he ran outside of the dense forest while clutching his back.
He made quite a sorry sight.
While the emerald-haired lady looked in his direction while muttering, "I feel sinister inside of him, should I tell him? NO WAY! I still value my little life. But I hope he will be safe."
The next moment there was nothing else in the place as if she wasn't there at all in the first place.

Patchwork System
Notification (cannot be ignored): For being the first being to kill another of its own species after Sublimation, Lyam Aldren is awarded the Title of Cain’s Successor. Let all fear the Kinslayer!!! Lyam Aldren, killer for hire, was just going about his business when he suddenly received a notification from something called the System. Apparently, the entirety of Earth, its denizens and its matter were transported into the world of the System, planted in 'patches' all throughout the infinite world. The world of the Patchwork System is one of challenges, where life is cheap, power is king, and Classes and levels are a thing. In a brutal world, there is perhaps room for a killer with bloodstained hands to find his own way, free of his past. However, his Title and his inherent nature plague him, his fragmented personality laid bare to those with the eyes to see, and if he doesn't become powerful enough to defeat or escape those who would use or destroy him, he will quickly be devoured by the merciless world created by the System. Compared to my previous work, this is a more 'classic' litrpg setup, with clear (if somewhat complex) progression through levels and skill gains, with a 'system apocalypse' setup. Unlike most system apocalypse story protagonists, Lyam is neither a leader nor is he particularly interested in saving his fellow Earthlings. This is a story of a man who is both endangered and set free by the destruction of his old world, as he finds both power, new discoveries, and adventure in a place where his past matters not at all and power is the only language most speak. Later in the story, there will be harem elements, but the first volume is dedicated to Lyam's first months in the System. For those who are more interested in the Heirs of the Hooded King, I am putting it on hiatus as I rework the setting and future story developments a bit.
