After returning back to the inn Leif started to slowly meditate and assimilate the path energy into his mind space. If he wanted to advance he needed to assimilate path energy to all parts of his body and develop it.

Leif clearly knew he wasn't a genius and only upon reaching the metamorphosis stage did he understand that there were two world-shaking bloodlines existing in his body that could have made him into a peerless prodigy.

But unfortunately for him, the two bloodlines were trying to corrupt each other and were not balanced. That is why the help from the strange entity proved fruitful as he had obtained a special 'mental path rune' that could suppress stop both bloodlines.

This also gave him a chance to awaken those two bloodlines completely. But everything had some kind of drawback at the very least. The price of using that path rune was actually quite cruel.

Leif was denied in having a chance at reincarnation.

But he knew what his chances at being a top-level being without this sacrifice and if there was not a way he just had to make one!

Leif stopped cultivating at noon and caught another ride on a caravan to one of the major cities nearby 'Yellow maple city'.

But he had underestimated the rough part of the journey by a lot.

Just a few hours after setting out of the town they encountered rough and damaged terrain. They were forced to make a U-turn at that point and while on their way back they encountered a pack of wild mutated wolves that aggressively started to attack them.

So Leif and some other able-bodied men went up against them with slightly shabby weapons.

Leif hid his identity as a path being and had pretended to be an able-bodied young man journeying to the Yellow maple city in search of work.

Because of the abundant path energy, some wild animals developed strange powers and were called 'Mutated animals'.

Most of them were ferocious in nature and only a small amount of them could be tamed.

But the group was successful in repelling the threat with only some of them encountering light injuries.

Among them, there was another young man named Theo. He had formed a friendship with Leif during the journey.

Apparently, his Eldest brother was a martial artist in the Yellow maple city and was supposed to travel to join his brother in the city to learn martial arts from him.

In all regions of the Holy martial continent, the status of martial artists was supreme and was highly respected and valued.

Even though Lief intended to keep his identity secret he wanted a clear direction to develop to so wanted to go to Yellow maple city and try out his luck.

Since Theo's brother was a martial artist why not use this opportunity to its maximum extent.

Theo's brother's story was something of a legend in his hometown.

When his brother was in his teens he was a capable hunter and as the son of a famous hunter, he had innately inherited a gift for hunting. Once when he went hunting he encountered a duo of father and daughter who were getting chased by bandits. His brother had a righteous heart and swiftly attacked all of the bandits chasing them with expertly shooting arrows right into their heads and battled it out with the three bandits who avoided them.

He with nothing else other than his bare hands battled with them for 300 rounds before awakening his hidden potential and tore them apart with just his bare hands. After noticing his enormous power the father recruited him as a martial artist of his organization and offered him a chance for proper development as the father was an important person of yellow apple city who had stumbled here after being separated from the group.

For a hunter's family, it was heaven in a single step!

Of course, Theo had long started respecting him.

"Haha brother Lief, you may not know but from my hometown and from there to travel this far it had cost me a lot," Theo said to Leif as they were sitting outside the carriage and were drinking mixed berry juice.

"It must be worth it then," Leif said in an even tone.

"Of course after meeting my brother I would be a mighty martial artist," said Theo in a prod tone.

Without paying attention to what he said Leif suddenly turned to look in the distance as he felt something ominous and bone-chilling.

This was something he got from the gut and something he would never be mistaken.

"Something dangerous is coming this way!"
