《Svails: Chains of Nebulas》Chapter 13: Heatseeker

The building where the battle had just taken place, falls to the ground, all that remains of it being rubble. Siyo, Sagamie and Tohka stand outside infront of the building, Exceilot locked in chains, and her gauntlet all but completely destroyed and unusable. "Oh yeah Tohka! How were you able to find us?" Siyo asks Tohka. "It wasn't very hard to spot a building with smoke coming from it, and the fact that it is falling apart...You can't seriously be asking me how Siyo" Tohka responds with a face of dissapointment in Siyo for not realizing the details.
"Oh...right, Um Tohka, there is something we need to talk about" Siyo tells Tohka, looking down at the floor and clutching her arm tightly.
"I think I can guess what this is about...it's the burns on your arm, and Exceilot's cheek right?"
"Haha, well you are the master, I should of expected you to be perceptive...While inside, I-" Siyo laughs nervously before being cut off by Sagamie. Sagamie places her hand on Siyo's shoulder and offers to explain the details to Tohka, telling her that while inside the building Siyo seemed to have become a completly different person, and her sword had bursted into blazing hot flames. Tohka takes this information with a surprisingly straight face, smiling at Siyo.
"You were very brave to face her with just Sagamie and yourself, I am more proud of you than you could ever know, I think I know what may have caused those flames, and deep down I think you can remember too." Tohka says to Siyo, moving in to wrap her arms around Siyo for a hug.
"Huh?! Y-You know what caused my sword to do that?!"
"When you were a child, I'm sure you recall that you owned a gauntlet, however you didn't lose it, that is just what I told you. I actually took it from you in your sleep as a request from your mother to keep you safe, but I'm sure she would have expected this event eventually. The name of the ability you used in your fight with Exceilot, was a Will Manifestation, though by the sounds of it, it wasn't a full manifestation, it was only what you could muster in the moment."
Siyo turns her head in confusion to Tohka's explanation asking Tohka if she really took her gauntler from her, and that it was truly from her mother, also asking about the meaning of a will manifestation all at once. Tohka raises her hand and blushes telling Siyo that she would be happy to explain all the details to her as soon as they get back to the base, to which Siyo sighs and accepts reluctantly. As the two hug and smile with eachother, Sagamie's smile fades to a frown, thinking once again of Marigold, and what Exceilot had said about her. "T-Tohka was it? What do we do about Marigold Jackstagger?" Sagamie asks, pulling on Tohka's coat to grab her attention.

"Oh right, the other girl, she is still missing isn't she..." Tohka sighs, slamming her fist into her leg.
"Tohka?! What's the matter?!" Siyo asks as she moves into stop Tohka from hurting herself.
"I was to stupid to act earlier, to think Angel had the guts to give you this job, I will be giving her a stern talking to later, but for what it's worth you handled it well, and better than someone fitting of the name master could have. There isn't much to go on involving Marigold Jackstagger, so please inform me, did either of you gain any leads in regard to her location?" Tohka asks as she holds back anger with herself, an expresison of guilt, and pain across her face.
"Unfortunately we didn't gain much detail, but we did atleast find out she was alive, that is a relief, and we can still save her." Siyo suggests.
"Siyo, I know you are determined to save more lives, but even if she is still alive, we don't even know where to start, right now, I would try to keep your hopes low as heartbreaking as it sounds for all of us, Sagamie included, but I assure you, if we can, we will do everything we can to save her, the moment we discover her location" Tohka swears to Siyo and Sagamie, placing her right hand to her forhead, saluting in the name of the svail hunters.
"Um actually, there is one more lead we have...or atleast I'd like to think of it as one, it was a name...Jinx I believe." Sagamie says to Tohka, clenching her first at her chest.
"Jinx huh? hmm, I can't say I know the name, seems familiar though, perhaps I will try asking around the base, but I want you two to stay out of it, you've been through enough, at the very least I will inform you on details about Marigold and that is all" Tohka says to the two girls. After a long talk outside and in the dark, a team of hunters finally arrive to transport Exceilot to the base, bringing a transport vehicle with them, the vehicle being of white color, and resembling a truck in design, black stripes all around the vehicle, as if it were a zebra.
While inside the vehicle and on their way back to the base, Siyo looks at tohka and asks her one last question. "Oh right! Tohka, there is one more thing I wanted to bring up, My sword...If I am take the words you said to heart, then those flames manifested from my will right? I just asusmed based on it's name, but why did the flames first appear on my sword and not me? could it have something to do with the name my grandmother gave it?" Siyo asks, clenching her sword in her left hand.
"I assure you, the only reason your sword caught fire first was because that was your will of harm to your opponent, had it been your arm, it would of caught fire first, your sword cannot emit flames by itself, that is not possible. Even if it would be fitting. What did she call it again? I believe it was...Heatseeker?" Tohka laughs, her giggle like the sound of a child laughing, but from Siyo's perspective, it came off as nothing but insulting, to which she glares at Tohka and proceeds to pout.

Arriving back at base, Siyo, Sagamie, and Tohka are all immediately greeted by Migro, who jumps to tackle Siyo screaming over and over how happy he is to see Siyo safe and sound, Siyo raising her burnt hand the next second telling Migro that she wouldn't exactly say she came back completly ok.
"What the hell happend?!" Migro asks, to which Siyo says she doesn't wanna talk about it.
"Migro...did Angel come back?! Where is Wendy?!" Siyo says with worry, and tears from her eyes.
Migro sighs with a smile, explaining to Siyo that Wendy is alive, but still badly hurt, and Angel is currently in the nursery as well, but not nearly as hurt as Wendy. Migro's information brings Siyo to tears, as she falls to her knees. "Thank goodness they're okay! This was all my fault cause I couldn't be stronger! I don't know what I would have done if they died for me." Siyo screams through her tears as she cries into Migro's arm as he helps her up.
Tohka smiles, her heart melting from seeing Siyo safe and sound. As tohka sits back out of Migro and Siyo's conversation, she is pulled away by one of the security hunters. "Master Tohka! We got an ID scan on the woman Exceilot, her real name is Lily Hatanaka, seems she hails from Kilios, quite a ways from home if you ask me, should we inform Smoke?" The man asks. "No, Smoke can handle his own city without our help, this is a small problem, for now lock her up and prepare her for questioning, we need to know what she was doing in Ryke to begin with." Tohka orders.
Siyo wipes her tears and looks around, noticing Sagamie has dissapeared. "W-Where did that brat go?! I didn't get to thank her properly." Siyo shouts, annoyed that Sagamie wandered off. Moments after, Sagamie comes walking back with drinks in hand. "I thought we could all use a little cooling off, jeez you've known me less than a day and you are already getting pissed at me doing my own thing?!" Sagamie says with an annoyed expression, rolling her eyes at Siyo.
Suddenly Sagamie drops the drinks as Siyo hugs her tightly. "Thank you! For giving me the opening I needed, and for saving my life! Please I'm begging you Sagamie Lilfolt, join Seiryoku, and I promise the soon to be best svail hunter team, will locate and save Marigold Jackstagger!" Siyo begs Sagamie.
"Me?! B-but I'm not even 16 yet!" Sagamie says to Siyo embarresed and blushing from Siyo's hug and request.
"That doesn't matter, I'll convince your mom and Tohka, even if it kills me! Afterall, you and I are friends now right?! And I took on the job to save Sagamie Lilfolt, AND Marigold Jackstagger, so my job can't be considered over yet can it?!" Siyo says with a wide smile on her face. Speechless and unable to say anything, Sagamie stares up at Siyo, and begins to cry, trying to force a smile through her tears, and proceeds to hug Siyo, accepting her offer to join Seiryoku.
While Siyo and Sagamie were having their chat, Exceilot was being thrown into her cell, the guards locking the door tighly behind her, after chaining her to the wall. Exceilot sits against the wall and stares into the darkness mumbling words under her breath. "I'm sorry brother, I won't be coming back."
Suddenly a loud bang is heard from the otherside of the door, startling Exceilot, and a few seconds later, Angel walks into the room, closing the door behind her, and turning on the lights in the cell. "Hey...nice to see you again...Lily" Angel says with a wide smile.
"What the hell do you want Flashlight?" Exceilot says in disgust as she stares at Angel.
"Oh don't talk to me that way, I thought we were friends after our fight, and now that I think about it, did you mention anything to me during our fight? anything important?" Angel asks.
"What the hell are you on about?! Are you testing me or something? or trying to break me?! It won't work I promise you, besides you didn't beat me so you don't have the right to get cocky, it was that flame bitch, I think her name was Siyo, and she seemed to look upto you so much, how dissapointing!" Exceilot chuckles.
Angel moves her coat out of the way to reveal a holasterd gun, continuing to smile at Exceilot. "Alright then that's good! So tell me Lily, how is Nakazo?" Angel asks, as she draws her gun. "How the hell do you know about my brother?! And stop drawing your gun like your gonna shoot me, you're a pridefull hunter you would never! I have studied you idotic humans and your group, I am a cut above all of you! The rogue are the only smart ones on this planet, we serve power to gain power, you are all rats, waiting for the mousetrap to go off!" Exceilot screams. Angel's expression turns to a smug look, as her eyes narrow, and she continues to stare at Exceilot. "Oh I wouldn't be so sure Lily, afterall...Does this look like a hunters gun?" Angel says as she puts her finger to her mouth, acting innocent as if to taunt Exceilot, all with a wide grin upon her face, and as Exceilot's expression suddenly turns blank, the sound of a gun shot echos through out the cell.
