While inside the training room, multiple people witness Siyo begin to take on multiple training excercises. The swiftness and speed in her strikes amaze those watching her so that soon she has grabbed the attention of everyone in the room. Siyo glances up at the clock on the wall realizing the time is not 8:00pm. Seeing as she has trained all day she puts her sword away and leaves for her dorm room. She begins to blush out of embarresment from all the people who were staring at her,
"Jeez, did they all have to stare at me like that? I wasn't that amazing was I?"
Siyo locates her room and enters it, much to her surprise she find to beds laid out side by side and begins to wonder if she will be given a roomate, or if she already has one. After some looking around she takes note of a balcony outside her room and walks over to it after putting her sword down and taking off her coat.
"A Balcony? That's right! This is the second floor, my old house used to have one of these, I haven't seen a view like this in ages. it feels like forever ago"
Siyo looks up at the stars with her arms crossed on the balcony railing, taking in deep breathes she thinks about how she is finaly getting closer to the life her mom lead before.
"I know you're alive mom...You would never give up on me like that, You're strong! I know it!"
Tears begin to flow down Siyo's face and she quickly wipes them away as she does not want to allow herself to cry. Suddenly a loud knocking noise is heard from back in the room. Siyo quickly rushes to the door and opens it up to be greated by Migro holding two pieces of bread and wearing the same clothes as earlier in the day, but ripped to shreds.
"I thought you might be hungry after training, so I brought you some bread! Sorry if I'm butting in on anything, looks like you were crying again."
"No no it's fine, please come in and sit down, I wanna hear about your training! Though your clothes tell me a lot"
"Ask me about my training?! You're the one everyone is talking about right now don't you know?! How about you tell me what you did to gain all this attention!"
"Wait...what do you mean I'm who everyone is talking about? And wait! How did you even find my room!?"
"Your display of skill in the training hall is all everyone is talking about down there, I knew you could be a great hunter, you've always had resolve!"

"W-what I did really wasn't all that special, I don't understand it...But thanks Migro!"
"So tell me about your training come on! I wanna know how you got in!"
"Well...I had a one on one with Tohka, I lose but she still let me in, it almost feels like pity"
"Master Hayashi?! That's a harsh entry, but you still passed!"
"Migro she said no formalities, first it was just master but now you're using her sir name?! You are unbelievable sometimes"
Siyo pushes Migro around and they roll back onto the bed and begin to have a pillow fight with each other all while bursting out in laughter.
"Anyways, I got nothing like you did. I wonder if all the exams are different"
"They shouldn't be though. Tohka herself told me the exams were the same for everyone about 2 years ago, did they change policy, and it not why did I get special treatment. I don't want anything like that"
"I think you're looking to much into it if you ask me, but between you and me I'd like to make a quick topic change for a personal question"
"Sure go ahead"
Migro reaches for Siyo's hand and holds it tightly as his expression changes from joyfull to more serious and depressing looking.
"I-I've been thinking about my sister again and I wanted to ask you, why do you believe your mother is still alive?! I wanna know what makes you so confident! I wanna believe I didn't leave my sister to die that day in Nagalia. this place is just bringing back bad memories"
"Migro...I know you take responsibility for your sister, but you should think of the pain as healing, if you ask me, your sister would be proud of what you are doing today and who you've become. I belive my mother is alive because she was the strongest hunter I knew, she is the person I want to put my faith in, nobody alive could take her down! If she is in hiding then I am sure she is keeping it from her own daughter for a good reason. If your sister is still alive, I have faith you will see her again, as for how you can face her, that is something you have to figure out for yourself Migro."
Siyo puts her arm around Migro and hugs him as he wipes his own tears away thanking Siyo for the encouragment and comfort. Migro gets up and says he should get going and leaves the room while wishing Siyo a goodnight. Siyo falls onto her back and lets out a big sigh and slowly closes her eyes. Hours having past, Siyo wakes up to find that it is 6:30 in the morning. She lets out a big yawn and quickly puts herself together and heads out the door.

"Can't be late to this meeting, so I am going to get in line now!"
Siyo runs down the hall and in a rush starts to tie her hair into a pony tail with a hair band and almost trips. She pulls a white piece of paper out of the right pocket in her black coat and makes a left stating to herself that the meeting room should be somewhere near where she is. Suddenly Siyo bumps into the back of somebody and realizes she is at the lines which has already started forming. The line starts moving into a dark room with barely any lights on, and a big stage with dim lights at the other end of the room. A man stands in the middle of the stage and greets the rookies as they flood into the meeting room.
"Greetings newcomers! My name is Master Yusaku Miyamoto, it is nice to meet you all and thank you for attending this meeting this morning."
Siyo notices how Yusaku is wearing a different master uniform than Tohka was wearing the day before. Suddenly Migro comes up from behind her making a joke about how the outfit matches his bright blue eyes staring into her soul which scares Siyo and causes her to jump. Siyo slaps Migro telling him to stop scaring her and the two take a seat in the 5th row of the room.
"Now that everyone is seated, let us get things started. Let's settle the main point first, you are all aware of the Svails, there isn't a person alive who isn't. You have joined this hunter organization to help fight against them! You are a combat force meant to put your lives on the line for the saftey of those unable to do so! In the 13 years that we have been at war with them the info we have gathered is far from confirmed but it is safe to assume due to infultrations and recon missions that the only reason so many of us humans are alive is because the Svails are attempting to build and army of humans under their rule. The name of this force they are building has come to be known as the Rogue's!"
Yusaku stresses the urgency of the situation and the svail hunters mission to protect the people and drive back the svails. A screen projecting a picture of 3 Silhouetted human figures appears behind Yusaku on the stage and he begins to speak to the room one more time.
"A great deal of humans have already made their choice and have regrettably sided with the Svails against us! These 3 figures you see behind me are to represent the 3 Rogue commanders the svails have put in power. These high authority figures have the power to command the Rogue army, but only by consulting with a Svail first! The cities around Nebulas that aren't run by Rogue commanders are also surrounded by unknown magical barriers that prevent escape as you all know."
The screen behind Yusaku changes once more, this time to a picture of one of the magical barriers being discussed. After a few seconds the screen changes once more to a picture of what looks like a gauntlet.
"The Rogue watch over the barriers and are the only ones besides svails allowed to leave through them. However thanks to some of our own hunters we have managed to establish hunter bases in other cities. The Rogue aren't like normal humans though, so don't underestimate them. The svails have equipped them with a type of special weaponry like you see on the screen now. These weapons are known as gauntlets, they allow the wearer special abilities close to that of the svails own abilities, we have managed to steal a number of these weapons which have allowed us to fight back thankfully."
Yusaku stresses the Rogue do not be underestimated as not many hunters have managed to aquire gauntlet abilities and it would be in the best interest of all hunters to fight the Rogue as a team.
"It's been a tough battle with the rogue for the past 9 years since the barrier was put up around Ryke. For those not in the know the Svail currently governing this city goes by the name Elkio, we wouldn't be able to tell you anymore than that sadly. When you leave this room today you will be given your first assignments, I suggest you follow them."
Yusaku excuses the meeting and the lights in the room come on one by one in waves. Siyo and Migro get up and begin to leave the room. Siyo brings up once more that Migro needs to stop scaring her to which he laughs. Meanwhile while the meeting in Ryke was going on, something else was going on in another location. A man with a mask that resembles a clown's face puts his hand to his face and crosses his legs chuckling.
"No moves yet... He's tougher than I thought, Very well I will give her the order to proveed then. After all. this hasn't been easy setting up"
The mytesterious man begins to smile widley to an almost unnatural length as he begins to punch in a number to a communications device. A screen appears to the side of him with the words "Matsuoka" appearing on it.

A Budding Scientist in a Fantasy World
Alice is a girl who loves science and lives on Earth. Then, suddenly, she was punted into another dimension. A dimension where magic and monsters roam the land, swords and sorcery reign supreme, and, for some reason, a System keeps dinging at her and telling her that her stats and levels are increasing. As someone who loves exploring mysteries, Alice is determined to get to the bottom of this mystery. After all, everything has to have a ‘cause,’ including the System, right? What to expect: This story is going to be a LitRPG set in a fantasy world. However, unlike many LitRPG’s, the system has both a definite beginning and definite limits to what it is able to accomplish – rather than a singularly omnipotent, omniscient being that is tied to the laws of the world, the way systems are usually presented in LitRPG’s, the system is close to both, but has definite limits and rules which it operates by. This story is also relatively slow, since that is my writing style. The main character also begins the story as a young, 15-year old girl who has yet to finish high school, and is going to explore more of the world around her as she grows as a person and starts to get her feet under her. The Lady's Handbook of Intrigue and Murder (High Fantasy Politics)
Summary:The daughter of a dying house is summoned to the Imperial City to meet and perhaps marry a handsome prince. It sounds like a fairy tale. Except Mydea doesn’t have the advantage of a half-forgotten childhood encounter, supreme magic to match the highest echelons of society, or even the privilege of an ally. In order to survive and make a name for herself, she must beat the Imperial Court at its own game. At least no one's tried to kill her—yet. Notes: Basically, if you liked the magic of Harry Potter and the politics of Game of Thrones, you'll probably like this. While the first book focuses on the female lead, and the interplay of competing regional and imperial interests, subsequent books will also cover warfare and how I imagine that differs wildly from historical norms with the introductions of a magical aristocracy.
