I took out my Katana and all the items needed for the rank up. When I put them close enough, a system notification ringed in my head once again.

As soon as I answered, the sword started to glow and what I saw was the weirdest thing I have ever seen in my entire life. The seed, ingot, and heart started to bend like the space around it was being distorted. It then was slowly getting sucked in by my Katana. After a couple of seconds, the light disappeared along with the items. What was left was my Katana that looked like it had been sharpened. I looked at its stats and I was extremely amazed.

It goes from Rank 1, Rank 2 Bronze, Rank 3 Silver, Rank 4 Gold, Rank 5 Dark Gold, Rank 6 Epic, Rank 7 Half-Legendary, Rank 8 Legendary, Rank 9 Half-Saint and Rank 10 Saint. Once your equipment reaches Rank 10 Saint, an armor can practically be wearing a tank and a weapon might as well be a nuclear bomb. However, the higher the rank, the rarer the materials needed to upgrade. Up to Legendary, you can find materials in various cities and towns, but once you have to get materials to upgrade to Half-Saint, you are going to have to find them on your own and let me tell you, it is going to be extremely hard to obtain even a single material. Also, the number of materials needed will increase as well so be wary of that. Well that's it from me. Ciao!" Now that I upgraded my Katana, I set out with Lyka to the Plague Prairie around the North where the Plague Wolves inhabit.

Let me tell you this, I miss the cars. I swear to god, walking down the road without a carriage because Lyka said 'Carriages are not for adventurers' is making my foot hate her down to the very core. However, the good part is that during the trip I'm able to ask a bunch of questions about this world.

"So, why did you become an adventurer. Don't you think it's below yourself to become a grubby adventurer?"

"Hahaha, what are you talking about? There are many aristocrats that are adventurers to gain valuable experience, raw material, and to experience freedom that they are never really given at home. In fact, 90% of all nobles are adventurers and there is even an adventurer school in Central and it is one of the biggest schools in the country and even I attend there!"
