Almost immediately, the uniformed policeman and the paramedics were at the scene tending to the injured. In Junction with the successful raid, Jocelyn’s campaign manager tipped off the news media immediately. 15 minutes later, Jocelyn Shane did an on the street press conference with the press along with Johnathan, who was just standing there wide-eyed and nervous.

Fortunately, she came prepared with some prewritten statements she rehearsed for this occasion, “as always, I want to thank the NYPD for their swift and proper judgment in handling the situation.”

Looking on, Andrea wanted to hurl at Jocelyn’s cookie-cutter statements. As her eyes wandered, she spotted her friend at a nearby rooftop. As Memento Dark was looking down at the scene, he walked away without a trace.

“And thank you, my friend,” Andrea said herself.

“Counselor! So, was it you who conducted this entire raid?” One of the reporters asked.

“Indeed, it was entirely my idea,” Jocelyn proudly stated, while many of the policemen tried not to laugh in the background without her knowing. “Like a well-built machine, we all have to work together as one to make sure the corruption in this historic city is entirely cleansed from the dregs of society.”

Overhearing this, one of the captured members of the Red Arrow began to heckle the counselor, “Yeah, you just keep talking tough! You ain’t shit, Shane!” Afterward, he kicked up mud that splashed on Jocelyn’s coat and face. “If the Emperor were here, he would break a bitch like you with his massive dick was in minutes.”

Feeling mortified by the man’s statement, Jocelyn was thrown into a blind rage. She immediately went up to the man and threw him to the ground. She then got on top of him and started to smear mud all over his face, “YOU WANT TO KICK MUD IN MY FUCKING FACE, YOU SON OF A BITCH?! BACK IN THE MILITARY, WE USED TO CHEW YOU PUNKS UP AND SHIT YOU OUT!”

“Help! Get her off me!” The man pleaded as the police officers tried their best to wrestle Jocelyn off him.

“AND LAST TIME I CHECKED THAT FUCKING MUTT WAS A LITTLE BITCH JUST LIKE YOU! I DIDN’T KNOW HELL STACKED PILES OF SHIT THAT HIGH! I WOULD HAVE CUT HIS DICK OFF AND SHOVE IT UP HIS OWN ASS IF HE’D EVER LAID A FINGER ON ME, YOU LITTLE FUCKHEAD--!”

“Counselor, calm down!” Jonathan stepped in as he became the calming force in Jocelyn’s rage. As she began to calm down, she lets go of the man she was assaulting. She immediately became embarrassed as she was in tears.

“Come on, counselor, let’s get out of here,” Jonathan pleaded as Jocelyn walked away from the scene. But it was far too late, everybody watched her lose control.

“She’s crazy! She should be the one getting locked up and not me!” The man protested as his words fell on deaf ears while they were taking him away.

An hour later, it was all over the news. Just so happened, Noel Moon watched it unfold on television, lounging around in her own living room. With her laptop beside her, she is participating in a Skype video chat.

They were two participants in the video chat; polar bear kemonomimi straight short ice blue hair and dark eyes who was in her pajamas while the other one was a curvy grizzly bear kemonomimi with long, wavy red and dark blue eyes, dressed in a black t-shirt.

“I always knew Jocelyn Shane was unstable, and this proves it,” Noel stated.

“Crazy, yes. Popular, 1000 times yes,” The polar bear kemonomimi counterpointed as she spoke with a high pitched yet youthful voice. “I will not be surprised if she gets 50,000 more votes.”

“Being infamous is newly famous,” The grizzly bear kemonomimi said, speaking in a lofty garbled tone. “People on social media and on YouTube, they do it all the time. It doesn’t matter if they are right or wrong. They all want to be entertained.”

This piqued Noel’s interest in Jocelyn, “sadly, I can never take part in such democracy. If someone like Jocelyn Shane gets her way into the Senate seat--”

“We're all going to be in big trouble if Shane is elected,” the grizzly bear kemonomimi finished. “Every radical ‘demon hating’ Senator in DC are just waiting to get enough assholes in their inner circle to fuck us all over.”

“That may not be the case,” the polar bear kemonomimi sincerely corrected. “Many people see her as this glorified mascot or the new breed of politics. If we can find something-- anything on our assistant district attorney, then she is good as ours.”

“Well, good luck with that,” the grizzly bear kemonomimi contradicted. “Jocelyn Shane is like America’s sweetheart.”

“We’ll just have to pay attention and stay close to her,” Noel urged as she intently watch es the footage of an enraged woman on the television. “Stealing a quote from Paul Auster: The world is so unpredictable. Things happen suddenly, unexpectedly. We want to feel we are in control of our own existence. In some ways, we are, we're not. We are ruled by the forces of chance and coincidence.”

Suddenly, Noel's smartphone chimed twice as she answers it. It was a text message from Ayeka saying the following: “We have decided to meet at noon.” Noel nodded in approval as she gets ready for tomorrow.
