《Cross Roads: The Monsters Among Us (Book One)》Epilogue (September 13, 2014)

Hello, everyone. My name is Marguerite Fuchs, and this is September 13, 2014, version of ‘The 1300 podcast; where we talk about what’s happening in New York and around the world! Last night at Sycamore University, they reported an 8-foot “werewolf” running amok during a silent demonstration in Westward Park.
The werewolf was wreaking havoc amongst the bystanders until a group of scantily clad females pummeled the monster presumably to death by electrocuting and setting the beast on fire. Most of the people in attendance who watched these events unfold celebrated with the ‘magical females’ as they teleported the creature and themselves from the scene.
Many people around campus did not understand who the five individuals were who stopped the monster but are much indebted to those who have put their lives on the line to prevent such a ravenous beast. As for such a beast, its whereabouts are where the unknown and at this point most say the five individuals have disposed of the creature.
Moments ago, an FBI investigation hooked 32 people involved in a massive LSD and Ecstasy ring that had ties to an alleged hate crime involving of a transsexual four years ago. The FBI reopened the case with new evidence. It appears they won’t be weaseling themselves out of this one since most of the evidence directly links Delta Theta Omega, a fraternity that strangely had most of their charges dropped four years ago.
Many people are now outside the Delta Theta Omega for another silent protest being held for Haley Larson, the transsexual female who was brutally assaulted by the Delta Theta Omega brothers four years ago.
As of right now, the Delta Theta Omega fraternity claims to be innocent of these charges, but with the re-filing of the assault charges and new evidence of drug distribution by the feds, many people are now wavering their trust over once the most prominent fraternity of New York City.

Somewhere in Israel, a mountainous middle-aged nephalem man in a casual suit was smoking a cigar and listening to ‘The 1300 Podcast’ in the middle of the day on his iPhone. He had red and black hair with bright orange cat-like eyes. He was tall and muscular for his age.
He had enough news for the day and enjoys his cigar. He was staying at a villa near the ocean. Use thinking about going to town and getting himself a sweet cold beverage to start his workday. But he felt kind of lazy, and he shouldn’t be drinking on the job, anyway.
Then, one of his assistants rushes in unannounced. He was wearing a casual suit as well. What he had is long black hair that was slicked back, but he wore glasses with a 5 o’clock shadow. Usually, he has bad news, “Mr. Valentina. It’s them. They’re at it again. They left New York and heading back to Spain.”
Mr. Valentina scoffed that the idea as he puffed on his cigar. “What is wrong with this guy, Eric? I mean, what did he expect dealing with four-legged animals who don’t know any better? It’s not a damn game.”
Mr. Valentina always had a problem not taking people far too seriously. Fortunately for Mr. Valentina, Eric, —his assistant— does all his worrying for him.
He got a little bit serious since it affects his bottom line as well, “look. The last thing I need right now is Eichner pretending to be the next Pope while using a bunch of big-titted sluts to do his holy killing for him. We need to put an end to this.”
Dreading the fact that he doesn’t have a well-thought-out plan, but at least he got Mr. Valentina on the same page, “I’m working on it…”

“Well, you need to work on it right now,” his boss encouraged while patting him on the back.
“Yeah, I got it,” Eric shuffles out of the room.
Finishing off his cigar, Mr. Valentina violently snuffs it out with his palm, “Delete!”
Suddenly, he received a call from the secretary. “Mr. Valentina, Dr. Harker’s here to see you!”
“So, she made it here in one piece. Send her in.” Mr. Valentina ordered.
A few minutes later, Dr. Harker who was wearing a sundress arrived at his villa.
In his living room, Mr. Valentina meets up with the biology doctor.
“Dr. Leona Harker, I just received your test results,” he greeted.
Dr. Harker was a bit nervous and flustered at the site of her employer. “Y-yes, I hope everything was to your liking. I wanted to find a suitable test subject but hope that was sufficient.”
“Indeed, it was. I am very excited that you crack the code so easily,” he praised while taking her hand and kissing it softly.
Dr. Harker blushed. “It took me some time. I was keen about getting the results to you sooner rather than later.”
“Patience is a virtue that I hold dear to my heart, Leona,” Mr. Valentina flirted. “Be grateful and rejoice to know that you have made a believer out of me.”
Feeling a bit embarrassed, Leona cleared her throat and acknowledged his sincerest thanks, “always a pleasure, Mr. Valentina. I have the vials and the documents ready for your bioengineering team in Geneva.”
“Hopefully, you will join them. After all, we need a supervisor who knows their way around the research,” Mr. Valentina offered.
Hearing that, put Leona on cloud nine, “Mr. Valentina, I… I would be so honored to run the division for you.”
“No, the honors all mine. And please, just call me Xerxes,” he insisted with a devilish smile.

Pursuing the Demon Lord
Chet is your average college student. He works at a part time job to help pay for his education and clips coupons on the weekends to help save a few dollars when he goes shopping. However, dreams of a simple life and working at a decent job are quickly tossed aside as he finds himself transported into what he assumes to be a fantasy world! Everything was going exactly as he expected it to go, as he had read a few novels describing situations exactly like the one he found himself in. But those expectations are quickly thrown out the window when the Demon Lord herself shows up for a surprise visit! Perhaps this land of fantasy isn't so fantastical after all. (Updates whenever this funky cat completes a chapter.)
8 215I Totally Don't Have Anger Problems!
Discontinued 7/11/2020 Sorry if anyone was hoping for more updates. It seems I'm losing interest in the character as time goes on - not sure if that's due to miscalculated character development direction or just a limited amount to express in the first place. If I do any writing projects in the future, I'll make sure the premise has a lot of room for long-term, interesting, development before posting anything. Thanks to everyone who gave feedback! I’m Talia Shimada, and my life just got a lot more complicated. One moment I was just doing some regular investigation of an interesting boy from my senior year in high school, and then suddenly, everything went wrong and I was stranded in another world in the middle of nowhere. It’s not my fault he left a clear line of sight to his house keys where they could be photographed and replicated on a 3D printer! Now I’m stuck in the middle of a giant forest with all these annoying creatures that keep attacking me until I SMASH THEM INTO PIECES AND STOMP ON THEIR REMAINS, surviving off of raw meat and, well, other kinds of raw meat. What, am I supposed to know which plants are edible in some far-away wilderness on another PLANET!? This is a planet right? It has to be! What did I do to deserve this? At least that class I got is useful. Now, when something doesn’t do what it’s supposed to, I can keep smashing it until it CAN’T BE A PROBLEM ANY MORE BECAUSE IT’S NOT ABLE TO DO ANYTHING AT ALL! If anyone else tries to get in the way of my plans, I’ll just PICK UP THEIR PUNY BODIES AND THROW THEM ASIDE and watch them sail away, never to trouble me again, because I am DONE having people mess with my life and not being able to do anything about it! From now on, anyone who tries will get to briefly realize their error as I SMASH THEM INTO PASTE BECAUSE THEY PICKED A FIGHT WITH THE WRONG WOMAN! I totally don’t have anger problems! Updates Sundays and Wednesdays, occassionaly Fridays

Hundreds of years ago, the servant god Elsyn declared that they would destroy humanity entirely, explaining it as their duty as humanity’s peacekeeper. When the gods saw it fit to send someone to oppose the fallen servant, Iztris—the gods’ own servant and follower—visits Cheryn. Iztris requests the aid of Alyson and Jacob, the oldest two heirs of Cheryn and the only ones given the gods’ offer of the ‘assurance of victory,’ and the heirs agree. There will come a time when humanity does fall—but none of them would allow that to happen by the hands of a being just as flawed as mortals. I recommend reading the story by volume, instead of by the order the chapters were posted. This story was beta read by Mad Sadie. Many thanks! Please note that some characters use different pronouns depending on the chapter’s view and the speaker. Iztris, for example, is referred to with neutral pronouns by Elsyn (in most cases) and themself, and after being introduced as such they are referred to with male pronouns by Alyson and Jacob.
8 90Mobius
Far in the future, humans have thoroughly colonized space through the use of floating colonies and artificially replicating the Earth whenever possible. Most of these endeavors have gone well, with humanity spreading across the universe like the seeds of plants floating in the wind. Yet still there lurks the great mistake, the endless station of Mobius, a megastructure which hasn't ceased its building in over a century. Dante, a man living in this megastructure, is tasked with the recording of stories told by criminals, particularly those who travel between strata. One day, a prisoner is captured claiming to be Captain Pluto, an infamous criminal thought to be fictitious by most scholars. Even more curious, he claims to hail all the way from Stratum 56, a location so far away from Dante's Stratum 999 that it would take lifetimes to traverse such a distance. Dante must discern whether or not the story is false or true, and the longer he lets Captain Pluto speak, the more difficult his task becomes. *****Average chapter length will be 10k words give or take. This isn't a very serious story for me. I'm writing this to blow off steam. Updates will happen infrequently because of this, and it will most likely be unpolished unless I begin to take it more seriously.
